HOW TO: Perfect Blonde Hair - Bleach & Tone + Shadow Root | Kenra Color

hi guys I'm wheeler camera professionals artistic ambassador and I cannot wait to show you how I created this Lux bleach in tone [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're gonna take Olivia's hair to a beautiful pale and creamy blonde today and we're gonna do that with a series of two Blondin processes our first process is going to be through the mids and ends of her hair and then the second flaunting process will be dealing with her roots to mid shock and this is going to give us such beautiful easy and even lift today we're using simply blonde beyond bond Lightner and the awesome thing about this Lightner is that it has inner and outer bond support which means that we do not have to add anything else to our formulation to protect and support the hair during our lifting process we're going to work off the front quadrant of her hair and I am carving out her front pieces just because we don't want to process these areas at the same time because this is more fragile and going to lift so much quicker we just want it to be nice and even so we're going to isolate that in the back section just for ease and speed I'm going to suction out the whole back of her head into three sections so we're going to start in the right side of her head and as I mentioned our focus is to really create lightness balance and even this through the mids and ends sometimes when you do a bleaching tone process in one one swoop the ends kind of drag out a little bit because there's not a lot of heat conduction so we're going to remedy that with filling in with a tip out first [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so we're gonna do virtually the same thing on the other side of her head as I'm feathering the sections I'm really taking care to use the side of my brush because it really creates a really nice soft plane to work on if I used my brush and I CAV airy diagonal way and push the color straight through you want it to just be very soft soft little blends I can't help it it's the balayage artist in me [Music] we're just gonna blend and make sure the underneath looks as beautiful as the top and through here is really saturated so really it's just underneath this section that I want to make sure it looks really nice and pretty so that it just sets us up for success in that process too now that we're done with this section I'm gonna gather up all my beautiful little pieces and I'm going to make sure that they just have an extra product but they're nice and saturated and have no problem lifting okay now we're ready for her neat area we're gonna go through it nice and quickly and then drop each section down as we move towards notes before we get to the top crown I'll just add into a money piece and then we'll conclude our application with this crown section I think the number one concern clients have when they show me inspiration pictures of these beautiful bleaching tones is you know the question it happens like is my hair gonna be dead is my hair gonna be damaged and I'm so happy that this Lightner exists because it allows me to say we are supporting your hair from the inside out so absolutely we're going to take this process slow we're gonna take care of your porosity and the quality of your hair is my first and most important priority is to take care of you and your hair health and we can do that with this Lightner makes everyone feel so good [Music] [Applause] okay so before we tackle this top quadrant I'm gonna come back over and revisit her money piece and for our second application it's just going to be this really crisp pretty baby blonde [Music] so now that we have that taken care of I'm gonna now continue my working in the back [Music] if this type of service is new to you and you're a little scared or apprehensive to try it I just want to encourage you to just get a doll head or practice on a brave friend because really you can do this it's just a series of steps and you have it [Music] what I'd like to do is process her for about 55 minutes and really let the formulation go into her inner layer of her hair protect in those bonds and then work its way out to the outer layer of the hair and this is a nice way to set the stage for our next process here is our beautiful process and as you can see she's like a true warm apricot II blonde we were just saying how gorgeous that this color already looks like we could just like walk away right now but since we want to go to a creamier more variegated blonde we are going to do the second process and this is how we're going to section we're going to do it a little bit different this time to start we're going to section right behind the ear in the crown leaving out a thicker money piece face framing section like a perfect triangle just like that and we're gonna repeat on both sides okay and now we're going to subsection the back out similar to the first sectioning for this application we're doing something a little different we're mixing our same formula in two different bowls one bowl has one two two for her regrowth area just so it's a little bit thicker so I have so much control from root to mid jaw and then for the mid-shaft to ends I have the same formula 30 volume and it is one to two and a half so it's a little bit looser so I could stretch it through and saturate for process too we're gonna start in Olivia's hairline this time because as you can see we've already gotten a great amount of lift with our first process now we're gonna highlight that and really bring that forward even more so the next area that we're gonna do is add some dimension and definition in her crown and then lastly we're going to blend and saturate out the back okay so we're going to begin this application on the right side of Olivia's head and then we're going to mirror exactly what we're doing on the left side that way we get equal lift as we progress through her hair lines what we're gonna do root to mid-shaft is we're going to take the lightener and feather it up this is gonna make it so soft and rich looking it's really a luxury twist on a traditional bleaching tone application one area to be aware of is this recession here I love to give it just a little bit of extra space because we don't want it to look so pale that it almost looks like the illusion of like a receding hairline so I'm gonna let her natural base color live there that way her muddy piece can really show as a money piece without that being a distraction because we're feathering into her natural base color this is gonna give her twice as much time in between appointments now that we're at the temple I'm going to move to the section on the right again we're going to do these beautiful pieces and then I'm gonna hop over and do the other side to match so for this area just for a little security blanket we're gonna put a baby cotton ball right there so it doesn't give us any corrective little blotches and in this area we're gonna go little heavier right around her face just because in naturally sunkissed hair color you see that boldness right around that money piece area so we want to pay special attention to blend up a little stronger in this front area just so it gives us that extra 20% of the detail that's gonna make for end result looks so expensive and high-end okay so now we're ready for the other side I'm gonna do the exact same thing we're gonna do a heavier money piece in the front and so it looks so natural just like the Sun did it lifting up this section I just want to make sure that on the underneath we get some coverage there because as we all do we run our fingers through our hair and we want that piece to look so 3d and dimensional so it's just a good practice to just lift up your section especially around the hairline and make sure that she has all the props in the right place if you're working in a cold salon you might want to consider using plastic wrap to insulate the ends of the hair for a brighter effect okay now that we have the perfect money peak pattern in the front we're just going to follow a diagonal section moving towards the crown of her head here I'm using a diagonal because using a diagonal is giving me such a soft transition [Music] so moving right along we're going to do the same pattern in the back moving up towards Cisco [Music] I'm always remembering towards the mid-shaft in the ends to do a little massage through so that it's nice and saturated we want it to be pretty and perfect [Music] here we have a nice representation of how her hair lifted in the second process and you can see how that seamlessly brings the color right up into her natural regrowth and it looks so natural and beautifully blended already here is my plan I decided that I would love to see a very cool stone washed look and the after the after effect so what we're gonna do is to Rapid toners wrap a toner sv which is silver violet mixed half-and-half with ruff a toner beige this is gonna be beautiful and neutralizing to what we see in her underlining pigment and then we'll come back and join you for the shadow roots in glaze this is our gorgeous after of our beautiful formulating of the rapid toners and I really love this because as you can see it totally neutralized the gold out of her hair and it really set us up so beautifully to deliver a amazing shadow root for her and then bring in a glaze to finish out her ends and my favorite formulas to do that are eight and UA and the thing that I love so much about using this as a shadow root is it just looks so identical to a natural level eight and then to glaze her ends we're gonna use the amazing ten bronze metallic this has a little bit of violet in it and it has a little bit of gold in it so it's completely balanced and there's a sheen to it that is just so pretty how I'm going to apply that is starting from the back moving all the way forward to the shadow root stopping just shy of the hairline the reason being is so that we don't create a new regrowth we're where we put all this beautiful dimension so we're gonna stop just short of that area and before we get to that area we're going to layer and overlap the ten bronze metallic just to blend those two formulas together it's gonna look so amazing [Music] [Music] so I'm just gonna take the 10 bronze metallic and shadow it just around her face just to give it a really soft finish and I don't feel that there's a need to go in and neutralize any further so we're just going to just softly rush in towards the regrowth okay gorgeous what we're gonna do is let this process for about five minutes and then rinse her and then we'll see the end result this is our final result and I couldn't be more obsessed with it Olivia looks so looks and that part of the equation was that base color as you can see it is a natural ultra ash and it looks so seamless with her own natural virgin hair base and the ten bronze metallic was just the perfect combination of tones to really bring this whole look together [Applause] [Music]
