HOW TO DYE YOUR HAIR PLATINUM BLONDE + SHADOW ROOT

hi guys welcome to my channel today is the day so I was waiting for for a long time I am dying my hair platinum I have wanted to do this for so long my appointments at 10:00 it's currently 9:15 I expect to be there for a long time but I will keep you updated okay okay so I got my hair done this is actually a few days later but clearly it's not platinum it's showing up a lot lighter on camera actually um it's very similar to the color that I just had which sucks because I paid like a good amount of money to get my hair done that color and it's still pretty much the same so I decided that I was going to do it myself and that may be very stupid but you know what this is an experiment I paid 250 get this color and I paid about 95 for all of the stuff from Sally that I might return because they might not need everything but you know what I'm gonna try and this video may be educational or it may be just comic relief but either way I'm going to try and do my hair so I have this huge bag from Sally sub do my hair stuff real quick I'll to show you I got this big tub of quick blue bleach not like this big bowl thingy I got two packets of like conditioner stuff two different developers one is twenty and one is 30 I got this well a color charm in t18 this is the one this is the one that is supposed to like take out the most yellow tone I also got purple shampoo and conditioner which also takes out the yellow tone I also got this hair dye it's the color brilliance is 8n which I may not use that I'm money I may not use it but I might and it is for shadow roots so I'm going to bleach my hair and then add some shadow to the top so that it doesn't look too fake then I got a brush and a wig I don't have gloves I don't know I don't know okay so I've changed my shirt in torn that has a giant hole in the armpit um I'm getting my setup ready I'm getting the bleach ready I'm going to do a few scoops of this with the 30 volume developer and whisk it all up I will show you how I apply it also I found some gloves they are gardening gloves but you know what a male work okay so here I am just sectioning my hair off into four sections here you can see my lovely growing undercut I know it looks really bad just ignore it yeah so this is actually the moment I realized that my lovely gardening gloves where two of the same hand so I mean it worked but yeah I was funny so I'm just starting off at the root normally if you have darker hair you shouldn't do that just because the heat of your head activates the bleach a lot more so you might have white roots and still have darker strands of hair but I did it anyway whatever yeah so I'm just saturated my entire head really focusing on getting every bit of hair I can so there's no dark spot okay so it's been about 20 minutes and I just went through and touched up like the roots on some parts those nervous but because I didn't do like sections like they do at the hair salon like what they take really thin pieces and like flip it over and then do the roof you know afraid that I missed some spots on the roof so there would be like big start chunk in the whiteness we're sure were a few spots so it's good that I did that so I'm going to wait about ten more minutes and then wash it out with regular shampoo and conditioners okay I finished my hair but now the neighbor is mowing his lawn thankfully he's in my backyard now so I can film it before my hair dries so let's take it out okay so it actually is pretty this is obviously not the final color but it's actually pretty perfect for someone who is trying to go bleach blonde because if you can see it's pretty much like the color inside of a banana which is what they always say like this part is white there are some gold tones like from far away it looks a lot more gold but up close like you can see the pieces are pretty white I was thinking about if it was still too gold to just do a little bit more bleach but right now it is perfect for the toner so yeah so I just I'm going to mix it with my volume 20 developer and leave it on for a few minutes now I've used this before and it works very fast so I'm going to start off at the root and work my way yeah I'm just going to do it messily because I know how fast this works and it does turn your hair quite purple so yes you can already see it starting to turn purple I might go wash it out like now I have to go up in the mirror and see what it looks like I can see the tones are wait so yeah I'm going to wash out it I will be right back okay so it's pretty much about the color that I want it to be right now I'm going to be using these conditioners it also seals up the cuticles which is what I want because I dry my hair I'm going to using the dye on the root ah so I don't want that to stay it into the white I just worked so hard to try to get okay so I'm going to section my hairs the ends are very fragile right now obviously because they just reach it but I'm going to change the part and kind of make it go straight down the back so that I can section it off a little better I'm not going to worry too much about the roots in the back I'm going to do the main part and yeah filthy so right now I am going to take the dye which says I should read the instructions on things right up you check his errand life so now I'm just putting the dye on my part some hair was getting in the way and I just tried my best to take those pieces out but some still got in the way I just pretended that it might look like a highlight I tried not to care that much but it was so frustrating so just make sure that if you're doing this that you try your best to make sure that no other pieces of hair get saturated you just want the roof so I was taking a comb and blending out the harsh lines so that it blended really nicely into the color and you can see that it was starting to look like a shadow root on the other side so getting really happy inside then I just started to do that to the rest of my head I didn't focus too much on the back I did though make sure to get the back of my part to make sure it was fully blended okay so I look a little crazy right now this side is developing pretty well I like the color it's natural it's not like too dark so it looks like actual roof okay so we are in the homestretch I'm so excited this is looking really good I'm really excited I hope it turns out good when I wash it um so yes this is the sneak peak I left it on for one sec Oni Jolie episode so about 15 minutes and I'm going to go rinse it out with cold water I'm going to use the purple shampoo and conditioner and then I'm going to use the last after color sealer which again closes the cuticle I'll put on some makeup I'll put on some clothes and if my hair needs a trim I'll do that and I'll show you okay so I'm back and this is the final result I personally four and love it you can see how the top has a little bit of a shadow to it it's not very dramatic which is what I was going for so it just looks a bit more natural than like white all the way up to the root it curled it a little bit and I loved it so much I honestly can't believe I got this looked at home by myself I have to myself a little bit more crutch so yeah I would suggest though that if your hair is any darker than mine was when I started to use maybe a 40 volume developer and you might need to bleach your hair at more than once which is scary that's why I originally went to a salon because I knew I would have to bleach my hair and I only wanted to do it one time so if your hair is like black or brown or light brown I would suggest ah try a 40 I don't know I it's very risky because basically if you have dark hair say like a dark brown to a light brown you're going to have red tones in your hair so you'll need to bleach your hair and that will turn the tones into more gold tones and yellow tones / orange tones and then you'll need to bleach your hair again until eventually you reach the pale yellow tone which then you can toes to remove so it's pretty challenging if you have dark hair I've done it before and I bleached it twice I think and it was fine but I am so happy with the results it's like such a soft color it like could pass as natural I guess which is what I was going for I will link all of the products that I used down below and [Music] have any questions feel free to ask and I will see you
