hello and welcome back to Amy Rose Studio I'm Sarah and in today's video we're going to be making some stickers in canva and then print and cut using the cricket what you're going to need for this video is a laptop and printer a cricket and we're going to be using some white printable vinyl I'm using the cricket explore 3 but I oppose you could use other crickets as well um so what we're going to do is we'll start off in canva and we'll add the white border around each sticker and we're also going to be making the sticker sheet as well like that one I'll pop it up on screen for a better look if you like the designs I've used I've linked them down below and I've also link already done for you stickers with the the border on and the sticker sheet if you want to just skip the first step of this video in canva and you can go straight to the print then cut okay let's get started in canva [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay so the first thing we want to do is we want to open canva and we're going to create our stickers first by putting a big white border around them so want to go to the plus sign here and want to go custom size now my Cana might look a little bit different to yours um the reason being I opted in for the new glow up so it's a little bit different but not too different so just bear with us so click on custom size and I'm going to create a 2,000 by 2,000 pixel canvas so we'll create new design then you want to upload your images to Canvas so you want to go to uploads here and then to grab them from your PC you want to go to upload files and that'll go to your downloads where you can upload them I've already got mine uploaded here the first thing we want to do is we want to want to turn the background to a darker color so we can see our white borders so to do that you click on the page and you go to the color wheel here and I'm going to choose black so I can see better and then we want to select each design start off with these flowers here and fill the page there all right and then select your design and you want to go to edit here at the top and this is going to bring up your different options what we want to do is we want to go in the effects we want to go to Shadows click on that one and we're going to click on outline now we want to change the outline from black to white so move it up into the corner until you get hash f f f f FF and that is pure white okay and then we want to make sure the intensity is on 100 and we want to put the size all the way to 100 and it gives a nice thick white border there okay so we'll click off that and then we want to go to at here at the top here where there's a little plus add page or you can also add page from here and that'll bring up another one and we'll just carry on doing this with each of our designs but what we can do is we can go back to our first design right click on that and click on copy style and then paste and that'll save you lots of time so again add a page and we'll go along and do the next one and the same thing again right click copy style and paste and we can just keep on doing this and the last one okay so once we're finished we've got all our white borders on our images we want to download them to our PC so if we click on the share and go to download and you want to make sure PNG is selected and we want to click transparent background so that'll only download the actual images with the white border and not the black background around here so we want to select all pages so keep that like that and then download and that's going to download those to our PC because we've downloaded multiple images that's going to download in a zip file so I'm just going to call these W didn't stickers two because I think I've already got a pack downloaded so we want to go to our download boards and we want to unzip them so we'll double click on our file there then go to extract all and here they are so now we're going to put our stickers on our sticker card templates order the plus sign to open a new page and this time because on quicket design space the print then cut you can't fill your page because when you do the print and cut you have to have the registration marks so I'm going to do mine um 6 by9 in my sticker pack so there's a thing called pixel calculator.com where you can type in what pixels you would need for a specific size and you can choose from inches you can choose millimeters centim you know so for 6 by 9 so I've typed in 6 inches by 9 Ines at 300 dots per inch because that's the resolution we want for print that converts to 1800 by 2700 pixels so the first thing we want to do is we want to want to upload the stickers with white border so again upload files and we want to upload all of our stickers here so select them all those will download in not the left hand side here okay so once all them have uploaded we're going to add them to our design but the first thing I want to do is I want to put this one for at the top of our sticker pack that I previously uped just to write the wedding stickers on there so I'm going to just tape that in I want a nicer font let's have a look this one here type in wedding stickers and just duplicate that one and I'll make this one bigger like that that looks good I'm going to group these together so I'm just going to highlight them all and click on group and what that does is it just you can move the whole thing without having to make sure everything's in the middle again okay so now we're going to add our stickers okay we might want to change the background to a different color here so we can see if our stickers overlap at all with the white border which we don't want so I'm just going to change it to this one here for now so go back to our uploads what I like to do is just to make sure that all the same size I'm just going to duplicate just to get them to fit so they're all around about the same size so I'm just going to do that again and duplicate till I have nine that I'm happy with like that and then what I can do is I can just click and drag them over because they all are square this will this will work if the if there weren't all a square this wouldn't work so we're just clicking and dragging them over like that and there we have our nine stickers so if you wanted to make this background color a bit more in keeping with the colors of the page you just go to the colors there say all and what will happen is if you see here it says four all colors this picks out every color that's that's in here so you can click on see all and you see that'll bring out all the colors there so if you wanted the background color to be more matching with your document you can you can click on any of the colors here yeah I think I'm going to choose this one here that looks nice and then you can just have a little play about and make it how you want it you can have any text at the top you can add boxes you can if you wanted to do that you can go to elements and you can get the shape tool here and you could have the top section a different color from the rest if you wanted like this again just changing the color to match the documents or see all and then foro colors and then you could choose a color from in here and then write any text you want in here anything you want it's up to you I think I like it like this it just keeps it nice and simple wedding stickers and there we go okay so the next thing we want to do is at the top of our page here we want to go to duplicate page and click on that so now we've got two exactly the same now because we're going to be cutting this with Cricket in design space print and cut we want to be able to cut out this page but also to cut round each of the individual stickers so we want one page of just the background so we're going to delete all these stickers like that and then we going to have a page with just the stickers okay so we'll delete everything else off except the stickers but I want us to download these individually and not share and download all of them together like we did with the the original stickers I'll show you what I'm going to do here so this page here which is just the background we want to go to share we want to go to download now this one we can download as a JPEG JP J so this is JPEG and we want to turn the quality to 100 now in the select Pages part I want us to choose page one so just this one okay and then we want to click on done and download so I'm going to call this one [Music] template and then we can go to our next one which is our just our stickers we want to go to share we want to go to download and this time we want PNG and we must take transparent background okay so that's just going to to download the stickers and no background at all so this time we want to change the pages and want to deselect we want to deselect page one and we want to select page two this time and then we want to download and we're going to call these ones stickers so now what we want to do is we want to open our cricket design l space and we want to click our new [Music] project now we want to get them up on our canvas here so go to upload and we want to go to upload image and upload our template and we want to choose flat graphic and there it is now we want to resize this to 6 in by 9 in or whatever size that you choose so that's the size is there there it is there so again we want now we want our stickers so we're going to go to upload and we're going to do that again but this time choose our stickers there and again flat graphic and the same again again 6 by 9 okay so now we just place these just going to make it a tad smaller just to fit it nicely on the canvas and there we have it and just have a little play about till you get it exactly where you want it that's lovely so now looking at it that looks great doesn't it but if we were to go across to make now hang on we'll just save our project to wedding stickers set this is what would happen there's going to be two separate pages you see so you'll have the wedding stickers I'm the template on one page and then you would have your stickers on the next so that's definitely not what we want because we want it all as one don't we we want the stickers on here so cancel we'll go back to our canvas here so to tell the cricket we wanted as one image but to still cut around we want to select them both so make sure both are selected and we want to attach them okay so it's still print then cut for each individual sticker and print then cut for the template too so now when we go across to make they're all on the one page which is exactly what we want okay so now I want to make sure our paper size is the right one so I'm using 8 and 1 half by 11 so select which one you're using and now we want to go across to continue we want to send a printer you want to make sure your prin is selected we want one copy we don't want to add bleed but we want to use system dialogue now this is going to bring up your printer settings so you can change the quality and whatnot so go across to print okay and as make sure your print is selected here and then you want to click on preferences and then you want to use the settings that you use for your printer so document Siz is 8 1/2 by 11 I'm using Ultra gloss see and I want the quality to be high and then okay and then print okay now while we're waiting for that to print we're going to set our base material so I'm using printable vinyl the white so to get to that you just click on browse all materials and you would simply type it in here so printable vinyl and then you can choose from your options here okay okay so let's do that okay so our stick has have printed and now we need to get them onto our Cricut mat I'm using the standard grip mat very fluffy mat okay what I want to do is I want to get it into the corner Corner as best we can about like that there we go and now we want to get them on of the [Music] cricket okay let's get our mat and we want to make sure it's under the little ridges here and then we want to press to load the cricket now what it's going to do now it's going to test if there's enough room behind the cricket that you haven't got it too close to your wall that's fine and now when this is flashing you press and what it's going to do first it's going to read the registration lines just so it knows exactly where to cut out the stickers [Music] [Applause] and now it's cutting each sticker out and now it's cutting around the template okay now we can press the flashing button here to unload the mat just pop this away here okay now to take the sticker sheet from the mat we're just going to that's it there we go and there's our sticker sheet and it's just a kiss cut so you can see it hasn't gone all the way through so they just peel away stickers what we're going to do now is we're going to cut off with our cutter okay so let's get these cut off and make them all nice and neat and there we go now how nice does that look our wedding stickers very cute and you just peel those away like that you can put them in a planner make a wedding planner or you can even sell these and get some little sell bags and package them up and sell them well I hope you enjoyed this video if you did give it a thumbs up and you can subscribe for more videos like these thank you see you in the next video [Music] [Applause] [Music]
