How to Make & Sell Printable Stationery on Etsy - Full Digital Download Business Tutorial

hi everyone welcome back to my channel my name is may oyo and i teach creative people how to sell their art online and yes my voice is still this way i'm thinking about going onto rubbable and designing a t-shirt that says i don't have covid i just yelled a lot but by the time it gets here hopefully i'll i'll be better and my voice will get back in the meantime i have replaced my normal cup of coffee with a big big jar of earl grey tea with a bunch of honey and hopefully maybe psychologically it will help me feel better with the way my voice sounds right now and today i have a very very special and cute little video for you guys it's a full step-by-step tutorial on how to set up a stationary product on etsy a printable stationary instant download stationary paper on etsy from the design process to the upload process everything you need to do from beginning to end i did a similar thing with how to make and sell printable greeting cards on etsy and the thing is you don't have to have a stationery shop you can make a stationery and greeting card shop you can add coloring pages this is just a cool little product that you can upload however the way that i like to do my stationery and my mock-ups is basically to find this template this system that can easily be changed to a different product so if you have you know your stationary paper that has the rule lines and the blank lines and the center piece you just have to change the type of art you're using for each one change the colors of a bit download it and just replace it in the mock-ups and you have a completely different product so i want you to understand that while the initial part the initial part of making the stationary the initial part of making the mock-up might take you time the more you do it the faster you're gonna get and it's just gonna be a matter of replacing colors and downloading and uploading it again so this is gonna be a very i wanna say thorough because i wanna give you the best advice that i can give you so it's going to have five different steps in the first step we're going to be creating a printable stationary and i've been asked that about the printable greeting cards because i showed how i make the printable creating card on a us letterhead and people ask me like could you do this on other sizes and yeah i could do it on an a4 because half of the world is printing on a4 us letterhead is basically just in the us if a person is from israel for example we don't have u.s letterhead paper we have a4 printer paper so everything i'm doing right now on stationary paper you can do the same on a4 and sell a4 stationary printables or you can sell both which is what i'm personally starting to do with my etsy store so the first step would be creating our stationery for the part of creating the stationery i downloaded a bunch of stuff i found on creative fabrica and i know that a lot of people tell me that you know you're going to create a fabrica and you try to find something good and it might take you hours just to find something good in a good bundle and then you open it up and everything is jpeg without a transparent background or it's in the wrong size so everything that i'm going to be using today in the stationary video we'll have a link down below so you can find the very specific one and either download that one or have buy that one the information of that seller so you'll know you know i hope it will cut you down a bit of the time that it's going to take you to find good and quality listings on creative fabrica right after that we'll be moving on to the mock-up stage where i'll show you a very quick way how to create mock-ups for your printable stationery on etsy a mock-up that will not only look good on the main featured image but will also be sort of a story to tell people could look at the mock-up and get basically the same information as they would from the description on the third step i'm going to show you a few more etsy photos that you might want or need like a photo that talks about a sale or a photo that basically says thank you a lot of people don't buy one stationary paper people like to buy them in bulks and if you have a sale for quantity people are going to buy more so on the fourth step we're actually going to go on taxi and i'll show you how to create a sale in case someone doesn't know how to do that and then for the fifth step we're gonna list it i'm gonna actually upload it to my store and obviously delete it after that because i did it with you know a fake logo and just you know for this tutorial i have my own way of writing stuff down and and having you know my way of phrasing things i also do things on a4 plus you a sled ahead and this was a bit of a different kind of listing that i did that had four different stationary papers and you a sled ahead when i do two different variations on usn a4 but don't worry i'll show you that too because we're also gonna have a look later on and how it looks on my store and how my existing listings look like but before we go on to canva and i'm going to show you how to start to make and sell your own stationery paper i have an announcement to make tomorrow is not a video day but tomorrow there is going to be a video because i promise that i will update you guys the minute i got all of the products that i ordered for myself for redbubble these are five different products that i ordered that are not the stickers and the last one arrived yesterday so tomorrow i'm going to have a red bubble howl is that a howl haul i i've heard it being said both ways like some people say it's a whole and some people say it's a howl so tomorrow i'm going to share five red bubble products that i've ordered for my own store one of them actually had a manufacturing issue and i spoken to redbubble customers for and i really want to show you you know the good and the bad and it's mostly the good i honestly think this couldn't have come in a better timing because on the 23rd which is two days from now i planned on having a video that talks about why i've been on redbubble for four years and i've never sold one t-shirt i'm gonna be talking about the products that i do sell and i think that once you see the video tomorrow of the howl and the products that i get you'll understand better the video on the 23rd if that makes any sense so let's get back to my computer where i'm going to show you everything on canva and after i'm done with that we're gonna get back to me and talk a little bit more about the schedule we have planned for april we're just gonna start by creating a new us letter document because i want my stationery to be special i want it to be unique i don't want to just use you know simple backgrounds that everyone can get on canva and i don't want to get these like cheap clipart so i've already pre-downloaded some interesting things and uploaded them to canva from creative fabrica i just want to share them with you i think i download this like beautiful vintage kind of paper and i know it seems weird because their orientation is horizontal and we're working on a vertical document so if i'm just going to grab one of these here it's just going to be you know it's still horizontal and maybe that's not good for me so what i'm going to do is i'm going to right click on this say detach image from background turn it over to 90 degrees and then set images background and then i get something that is more fitting for me and i can adjust it up and down because these craft paper were actually made to fit an a4 document and i'll see if i like one of them if one of them suits me but i want to get down to the very first thing that you're going to have to do when you're selling stationary paper which is to create the line grid the first step would be to create the lines of the stationary paper and for that we have two ways of doing it we can manually create lines using canva and i'm going to show you that option just in a minute or you can pre-download actual notebook paper like this one that i've ordered from creative fabrica that you can work it like this or you can actually give it that edge that everybody likes in their notebook these are a bit more shabby chic more vintage looking and i am gonna use them and i'm gonna show you in a minute how i also have here something i think it's like very thin lines we also have a bit of a checkered vibe here and also even with the checkered vibe i can still adjust the colors make it different make it work for me make it darker but let's just start with the first system which is creating some lines and for that what i want to do is i want to have where my lines are going to be centered at because i don't want to have lines all over so i'm going to go to elements i'm going to go to shapes and i'm going to choose this shape that is a square but it also has this rounded corners and i'm just going to find a way for me to center this square here for it to be the background for the lines let me see if i like it so it's sort of something like this obviously you can make it smaller you can make it bigger but for me this is the center for my lines then i'm going to go to app page and i'm going to go to canva backgrounds because canva backgrounds actually has some interesting stripes background that are going to be my guiding lines in creating the stripes so let's just take one of these and i'll see that these are the lines that i want or not let's just remove this check this out i think this is too spaced out for me to want to write on i really think i like this one i'm just gonna give it a very different color so it's gonna be more visual for what i'm doing i think this one would work for me and what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna go back to elements and i'm gonna click click online and this is something that canva has greatly improved in recently because i can just go in a line and decide if i want it like very wide if i want it very narrow i can decide if i want a dashed line a dotted line if i want line to end sort of you know rounded up or tougher than the sides and i can also actually make like you know it's going to stop with an arrow as you can see here but what i want to do is i don't want it to stop with an arrow i just want it to be like the regular one just click on this i just want a regular line let me just show it to you so this is a regular line that is 2 pixel weight and what i'm going to do now is i'm going to take this line and i'm going to put it here i'm going to center it but i'm going to put it exactly in the middle of this line here and i have three lines on the top and then i'm going to duplicate this line do the exact same thing here when i see that it is centered i'm going to zoom in a bit more i want to try and make this one exactly in the center of the white line i'm going to go back to 100 percent and then i'm going to grab both of these duplicate them drag them to the very same position as they are centered between the white lines and sort of just do the rest because now i have four that i can take with me and make sure that you're centering them i hope that you can see the purple lines that give me the center that gives me exactly the position that i need and i think that from now on i could just grab all of them so we're just like you know duplicating one duplicating two duplicating four it's kind of fun and i see here that i have three lines left three lines left here i'm all good let's remove this we're going to go back to click on fit so we're going to see the whole thing and i'm going to grab all of these and group them together now before i do that i also want to show you a cool little trick let's bring back our background i'm going to zoom in grab one of these lines take them up to the top and shrink them make sure that you're on zero degrees shrink them and center it here and grab this one and go all the way down and center it here too so what i'll have is something like this which looks a bit more comfortable to write in and more formal so i'm going to duplicate quickly both of these here i'm going to delete these up and low lines i don't want them delete the background grab all of these and group them because i don't want them to move i want them to move together i'm going to do the same here just group them up and this is my base for the stationary paper printables that i want with my own lines and let's see now how i work myself with the backgrounds and with this shade so let's just quickly grab this and copy paste it and when you copy paste something on canva it goes into the exact same place so let's move it a bit backwards let's try and copy paste it here too and move it backwards and you see that here this looks i think a bit better and what i'm going to do is i'm going to color this in white and i'm going to go over to my uploads to the things that i uploaded to these nice little crafty pieces i'm just going to select one i'm going to twist twist it to 90 degrees set it as background and this could be my very first stationary paper i can also do this color this one in white and what i'm going to do with this i'm going to just choose a background something nice so once i have this photo in here this specific photo in here when i try to search for colors i can see colors from this photo so i can easily create a set that fits this type of photo because when you're selling printable stationeries you you want to be selling sets because a lot of people would want a set of paper they can write on so for example if this would be my very first i can also go here to the white box and change the transparency a bit to something like this which is more i don't know it more gets the vibe of a stationary paper and what i'm going to do with this one specifically i think i wanted a big dog i think i want it like on and what i'm going to do with this one is i'm going to duplicate this i'm going to remove all the lines and then i'm also going to duplicate this remove the square and completely change the transparency of this one i can also change the transparency and add lines on it but that doesn't look good with this specific background so if i were to give this out as a listing this would be one and just go a bit back this would be one stationary paper this would be the second this would be the third and once i have all of these creating them is just you know a matter of clicking and changing something because i could just click on this one here switch it up to 90 degrees set replace background and i have a whole new thing let me just go back but this is one very simple way to create stationery we're gonna do a bunch of few more and then we're gonna select one of them to create the mock-ups and i'm gonna show you how you can make stationary mockups for etsy and we're actually gonna list them together with tags and names and description and everything so let's just think about a few more ideas what i have here is just a background just a simple background i have these lines here i think maybe i want to grab the lines that had to start in the finish these ones so let's just duplicate this delete these lines add these lines over here and let's just go over some of the things that i downloaded because i found this really cute like animals and music watercolor thing that i truly truly adore so i'm just gonna grab this cute little giraffe i think it's a giraffe that plays the cello and i'm going to put it on the side here and you can have a stationary paper that has a really big giraffe you can have a small one and as usual once i use the giraffe photo i can click on the background and it will scan the giraffe for the background that i want and i really do think that this is adorable this type of background here and if i want to make a set that is based on this giraffe i have few options i can duplicate this remove the giraffe and add the zebra from the other side let's place it on the other side and of course change the colors a bit to fit the colors of my zebra which are still similar here i can even choose one of these maybe just go a bit brighter on this one i'm going to duplicate it again remove the zebra take the hippo that's playing the accordion actually kind of looks like he's reading a map never mind and place them on the side and again change the background color to fit my little playing hippo and what i basically have here is that i have three stationary paper one with a giraffe one with a zebra and one with a hippo so what i'm gonna do is i'm going to duplicate the giraffe i'm going to set this background to fit the exact same background that's already in the photo completely fit it up remove this background and take this photo transparency take this background transparency really low so you see this is a matching set and what i'm gonna do with this zebra is basically do the same so let's just go to the white one and we're gonna choose the same color remove the background change the transparency levels here and do the exact same thing with our hippo by selecting this making it purple deleting the background and changing this transparency so i have a set of already six but what else can i do i can duplicate this and remove the lines because some people like stationary paper that they can just write on without any lines i'm going to do the same with my zebra and i'm gonna do the same with my hippo and the thing is i can also do the same with their duplicates so if i have one white square lined white square blank i have this like you know opacity lowered square with lines and then blank and then i'll do the same here and in just a matter of minutes i created 12 stationary papers this is a full on 12 stationary paper set that you can sell obviously you can just sell you know this one this this this and this as one set of four stationary papers or you can sell the entire 12 as a full set i also want to give you some more ideas because these came with music sheets i want to use these kind of music sheets i can combine them here with the actual hippos you know just make sure that the the blank one the one without any lines sort of looks good and obviously for this one this will be on the other side and this one here would look like this and now maybe i want to add also something for these transparent ones maybe let's just take one of the keys no i don't like the colors i want to take this one so i have drums here this was an actually a very interesting set i'm going to leave a link down below to all of the creative fabrica elements you've seen here so don't worry about missing on out on any of them let's just grab the harp you know you can also just duplicate this add the banjo the options are really limitless i just think that this one looks a bit better because it gives out more volume to this already blank piece of paper and i think i just might add it only for the blank so let's just grab this one because it was on the other side and grab it here and then let's just go grab this one again and place it on the black one so i truly have a 12 piece set for all these stationary papers and let's just make a few other stationery because this is a fun system and i kind of like to do it a bit more let's try one with a ruled line so i can take the craft paper here to the background and if i change this to white and change the opacity this could be one of your stationary papers and i can make a whole full set just with them because some people don't like to have anything special on their craft paper they don't want to have any you know animals or anything i can just play with the saturation and i can just play with my tint to create totally different backgrounds with just one of these crafts so i have here you know the regular one and then something sort of like bluish i have pink and i have green and what i'm going to do is i'm going to grab this one duplicate this add these lines here and do the same for all of them which um yeah let's do that it looks kind of fun i kind of like that it has this like double line effect because the background already has lines i really do like this type of thing and when you do this you might want to add something you know even canva the basic ones if you go and add like watercolor or something vintage you will have a few free stuff let's just you know put it down for free so i have a bunch of cool things here that i could use i could add one of these here on the side of course if i match the colors so let's just play with the adjustment let's tint it towards green and just create this the whole point in this system the whole point in the stationary making is that you be creative and you be consistent so for example if i want to make you know if i want to take this to be my model so i have one with a white square and lines one with a white square without lines one with a colored square and lines and one without so this would be my four piece set just make sure to be consistent make sure that if a person walks in and they see that you're selling this type of set and if they go to your store they would see the same type of sets you know being consistent really helps with followers really helps with people buying more than one item in your store and we're also going to be talking about that because if you're going to sell stationery printables you're going to have a sale or something like if you buy four you get 40 off if you buy two you get 30 off and we're also going to design a banner for that but right now i want to go and see a bit more options if i have let's go back to my uploads because i uploaded some cute little things here and i want to see if they combine well so i'm just going to grab this one here i'm going to delete the background and just make it something i don't know i'm just going to grab one of these koalas and let's say and and think about it later honestly the way i searched this one it might sound funny but i was watching community last night and it was on the episode where they went on the hot air balloon so that was like the first thing in the morning that i searched for creative fabrica and found these really adorable hot air balloon kind of animals so i kind of like it it's super adorable so i can take one of these i can put them here let's put them on the side and i can adjust the background again to fit the colors of this one and you'll have a sweet you know romantic kind of cute stationary paper let's do the same thing that we've done here remove the background and change the opacity the transparency sorry you can also edit this one make it darker make it brighter while brighter makes no sense add some saturation and really go you know and change it the way you want another thing that you can do is i can take this one and set it up as background and then i'll be removing this i will change the background's transparency and this would be your stationary paper so the options really are limitless there are so many things that you can do with just a simple you know two three listings from creative fabrica because these are endless designs for stationery these are endless elements these all create together something like 40 50 listings i'm going to leave a link down below if you don't have an etsy store yet for you to get 40 free listings every time you list an item on etsy that costs 20 cents and if you're already an etsy seller then you have a link to give other etsy sellers to open a store for them to get three forty first listing it's it's really hard to say it really fast like first forty fifth listing it's like it's a lot of f's so if you want your first 40 listings to be for free and you use my link you get 40 free listings and also i get 43 listings which is super super cool and what i'm going to do now is i want to choose something that's going to be you know my thing or more like your thing so i'm gonna go back to these playing animals and what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna choose four of them i'm gonna choose i really do like the giraffe so let's choose the giraffe one and the four of these the four giraffe ones are ones that i want to put in a stationary printable set so what i'm about to do now might not make sense but it will make sense later on what i'm gonna do here now is just take one of them and color them in black and i'm gonna download this blank black page page number nine as a jpeg file once it's downloaded i'm going to upload it again we can delete this one and i'm going to place this one make it a bit smaller in the center here's my center line for my next step i'm going to download this one as jpeg but i'm also going to download the four that i want to use as jpegs even though i'm giving them off as pdf i need them as jpegs first so what i'm going to do is i need to download jpegs of pages 9 till page 13. let's get started i love it how you guys just watch it so you can just you know i'm downloading this here it's downloaded instead of waiting for it to be downloaded and unzipped all with the power video editing let's download these babies and what i have here is this blank one and i have these sheets i can also just name them now because i know that i would want to attach them a lot of people don't want their us letter stationery to be full on us letter they might want to use it a bit smaller they might want to print it out you know on a smaller size so i like adding the jpeg files so i'm just going to write here let's write giraffe graph one and then giraffe two giraffe 3 and giraffe 4. and what i'm going to do now is i'm going to use these files when i sell so for example people are gonna get these files but i also need these files for my mock-up so i'm gonna go back to canva for the main page and i'm gonna click on create a design and i don't know if you've seen any one of my etsy videos but the dimensions that i like to use for my etsy listings are 24 55 by 2020. you guys can write it down and now that i have this set up here i'm gonna drag all of these in here simultaneously i'm gonna go back to my us letterhead and i'm gonna write down giraffe us letter stationery and i'm going to download just the giraffe pages which are pages 10 11 12 and 13 as pdf print version and there is one more file that i'm going to need before i can get started with my mock-ups which is again the black one but instead i'm gonna download this on a png with a transparent background this is going to give me the shade for all of my works quickly download it let's upload this back here i'm sorry guys i downloaded this as jpeg i forgot i need it on png my bad and now what i'm going to do is i'm going to take one of these and i'm also going to take one of these and they're obviously at the exact same size but what i'm going to do is i'm going to make this one slightly bigger than this one center this one in the middle go back to the other one and adjust the blur setting and as i raise it you see now you have shadow which is pretty cool because that gives that you know 3d vibe let's see if this is the kind of shadow that i want or if i want to make it smaller or bigger we're going to try to adjust it in the middle and see how much of a blur or not blur we actually want i think that this one because it's like too blurry on the sides people can still see the sides of it let's just remember to center it with your design and reduce the blurness a bit and this is something that i can work with so what i'm going to do now is i'm going to grab both of them and group them duplicate and quickly change all of them so that i'll have the files that i need and now moving on to the mock-up i need to find a way for the very first image to display to people what i'm selling and for that i'm actually going to use one of these backgrounds that you can just use for all of your works because i think that this is a nice background to show stationary paper on so i'm going to put this one here and let's just grab one of these and obviously they're grouped so they're going to come in together let's grab this one grab this one and grab this one select all of them reduce their sizes at the same time and what i have here is i'm gonna need this to be forward this to be on the back and the same goes maybe with this one and this one see if i can make this look a bit better grab all of them i can make them a tiny bit bigger and what i need now is for people to understand that this is a printable stationary this is a printable product i can also just align them like two at a time like grab this with this and do the same on the other side with this sort of like this but i kind of like it the way it was before i like the you know aesthetic look i really do and what i'm gonna do now and this should be something that is based on your logo on your font on what you do i'm not just gonna you know if you already have a logo and you use the specif a specific font i'm not just gonna you know bamble on the fonts here let's just quickly create a logo you know what because we're gonna have to have some kind of logo for this so let's just go and let's say that your logo was square let's choose a circle if you want me to make a full tutorial just about how create how to create logos for etsy stuff like that let me know let's say this is your logo okay stationary house written this way let's give out the circle a bit of a different color i don't want it to clash with everything that i'm doing yeah this was this one i like i'm gonna group it together and then i'm going to copy paste it to here and what i want to do here is add a second text with you you know a different type of font that's going to go well with this maybe something like this because i want to write down instant download digital download printable stationery you know whatever you guys want to write so let's just write down digital and i'm going to use the small d so i'm going to put in digital duplicate this and write down an all capped download and make it a bit smaller because i want the digital and the download to have the exact same size so we have digital download and let's go back to elements you know maybe put on a nice little frame here you know what let's cap this as well and you know once you do this kind of thing once then you just duplicate this template it's just important to have this one-time template that you're gonna have for everything and then we're gonna minimize this so this could be my very first etsy listing photo what people see when they want to come in when they're interested but now i actually have to explain to people what they're getting so the first thing i want to do here now is show them what they're getting so i'm going to take the exact same background and maybe let's just you know adjust it a bit make it a bit darker or tint it up to blue to fit this just play with the saturation oh this looks really nice i kind of like this one so what i'm going to do is i'm going to grab one of them and i'm going to make it bigger and i am going to center it exactly and i'm gonna grab a piece of text from here and write down on the blank one files included obviously smaller just on one line so basically i'm using my own stationery as the background for what i'm about to say i want to grab one of these checks here like the lorenda so let's just grab this one change it back to lorinda londrina sorry let's choose laundrina because it's kind of cute let's see if they have like a thinner laundrina yes i have a solid fin that i can bold up and it's gonna look better so files included what files do i have in the delivery and this is the most important part basically what are people going to get when they order for me so they're gonna get one pdf with all four pages in us letter size and they're also going to get let's minimize the space here the line height i'm sorry but they're also going to get here let's move it to fit my little giraffe or jpg files or digital use some people like to use this digitally or print them smaller so maybe we write down for pdf files for digital or smaller printing or digital use and don't forget to grab your logo and also just move this up a bit just grab all of it and not the logo and just move it to the side and i want to think about more because what i want on etsy is to have at least five etsy listing photos so this is something that i like to do i like to thank people for looking at my art so i'm gonna just grab this one and what i'm gonna do here is i'm gonna grab one of these things one of these frames let's have a look at the frames that we have let's find a nice one maybe this it looks a bit a bit formal i kind of like it and let's change the color of the background and here you put a photo of yourself obviously i don't remember where i put all my photos i'm just gonna write here like woman and let's put it here and what i'm going to do here is place her at the top left corner grab the logo obviously and if you have instagram you can also put that one in here as well make sure that these are centered up and grab a piece of text and write down let's just make sure that this is where i want it thank you for having a look at my shop and supporting my small business and then you can write down your name oil give it some i don't know life maybe give it like a shadowy thing play around with this one a bit yeah i really do like this one and i always recommend having a sale because the point is with stationery is if a person likes stationery they're going to want to order more than one and if you're going to have a sale for four items or three items that could be something really cool so what i'm going to do here is i want to find like someone except maybe just look for a sale i like the dog one it's kind of cute and has a white background so it's gonna be fine let's just grab this dog and put it here and actually think it's kind of funny because he's holding like four bags so let's just grab a piece of tax let's just grab the londorina one and i'm gonna write down [Music] all chop sale let's go with a bit of a bulkier londrina make it bigger and curve it up curve it down sorry you really have to space your letters a bit more if you're gonna curve it up so let's write down all shop sale less curvy and these two photos that i'm doing the thank you one and the shop sale are gonna appear in every single listing and let's just grab this one and write down buy four items get 30 off this and i'm gonna grab what i used here for the digital downloads and basically put it on the other side longer i can obviously move the dog a bit and i will use this photo in every one of my listings as well as this photo in every one of my listings and obviously actually create the sale which i'm going to show you how to do so what i have here is i have all four of them right i have one of them that specifies what are people getting but i also want to emphasize that they can use it a bit smaller so what i'm going to do now is i'm just going to add something more and let's go here and right click let's find a nice desk filled with stationary stuff maybe this one could work let's just make it the background move this up and what i'm going to do is i'm going to grab here i use this one without the lines i'm going to use another one without lines but it's going to be the second design and i'm going to place it here and i'm going to minimize it and what i want to do here maybe i'll detach this image from the background and just put it something like this over here move it backwards so i can see my design i'm going to grab one of these lines here delete the curve write down print smaller as a card and minimize this print smaller as a card so this is gonna be like you know my card and what i'm gonna do here is i'm gonna grab a piece of text as well but i'm gonna try and find like a cursive handwriting and i'm gonna put this one here the thing is that if i'm gonna download any other type of stationery later on so i have this one that shows all the stationaries i have this one that basically tells them what they're getting i have a thank you i have the shop sale i have print smaller as a card but for example for me because i already had some stationery that i uploaded to my store so what i can do here let's say this is like another stationary that you created i'm just gonna go up here and i could just switch them up you know this is one mock-up that you do one time that works for everything that you're doing and move on to the next part which is downloading all of them on jpeg you don't need to page this page this page and this page and they can just print it out or they can take the smaller ones and use them digitally or use them you know print them smaller use them for whatever they want let's move on to etsy and list this puppy up so as you can see i already have like buy three get thirty this is my discount i'm just gonna quickly show you how you do it this is a new shop that i've opened i don't do marketing for it i actually had another sale for one of my coloring pages for easter i really don't have time for it since i started it and i really do want to upload no listings this was one of my you know goals for march but what i'm going to do is i'm going to show you how to create the sale so you go to marketing and you go to sales and coupons and you add new special offer and you click on run a sale and my sale is percentage off it's 30 off it works on everywhere and it's based on quantity and the quantity was oh i think let's see yeah the quantity was full so i'm gonna write down here four and then you select the dates that you want add some terms and confirm i'm not gonna do it because i already have a sale running here in my shop so i'm just gonna go back i'm going to cancel it i'm going to take you to my listings and we're going to start a listing from scratch by uploading this and showing you the exact process that you need to do with naming your listing with using tags and everything let's just add a new listing and here i'm gonna add a photo so i click on add a photo i'm gonna go to my downloads folder where i have this house one that was the name of it and i'm gonna grab all five of these mock-ups while they're being uploaded let's think about the name so this is a printable stationary set that is instant download as a us letter pdf plus jpeg this is a digital stationary set these are digital stationary papers with a giraffe playing the cello so i'm just going to start with the basic because this is a printable stationary set a lot of etsy sellers that what they do is half of them they list on the stationary sets and half of them they list on letterhead designs so let's just put it on stationary set i'm not going to choose primary color because i don't have one as for occasion it's not really something well oriented i mean if this was a baby then this was good for a baby shower or first birthday if this was a couple then anniversary or wedding but i can just write down i don't know let's just write down birthday and then choose a holiday i always like to choose a holiday that is closest to us because this is not a themed stationary pack if you've made this stationary pack for christmas which is very recommended or making them now for easter then you can just choose a holiday but i'm just going to choose easter and the most important part is to mark this as a digital file now as long as this is a physical file if i go down below i have like shipping information which is totally irrelevant because this is a digital item but once i click on digital once i scroll below i need to upload a file and i can upload up to five files so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna go back here and upload the us letterhead pdf and all the jpegs now if you've chosen to do a us pdf and also an a4 pdf and it's already two files included and then you also have like what eight different jpegs just take all these different eight jpegs and zip them together you know just make sure that people know that they come in zipped and this is gonna be processing for a while now let's go back up and think about what i want to write in the description and when i write a description it's important for me to structure it like saying hello saying what this is saying what this is not this is not a physical copy nothing is going to be shipped to you really detailing what i want to have in this listing what people physically are going to get so just let me brainstorm with myself a little bit while you listen to some music in what got more hits what got more traffic and then you change everything accordingly moving down below you have to do the price my store is priced in shekels i think like 3.5 shekels is about a dollar so let's just say i want to sell this out for 12 shekels and remember when you're putting down the price you need to remember that if someone buys four they're going to get 30 off and that's it i'm done let's just make sure that my quantity is like a hundred because i don't have one of these i have an infinite number of these and i click publish and of course i have to pay 20 cents but now i have i already have 43 listings so it's going to take advantage of one of them and it's published and let's go have a look at how it looks as you can see here this is the main photo that people are
