okay so today I'm going to make a bird feeder using these items that I got at thrift stores I found this bowl I'm not sure what it was used for but um this is going to be the roof of the bird feeder and I've got this Candlestick everything has kind of a a greenish blue or teal tint to it so I thought these would be pretty together this has a basket weave I don't know if this is a vase or a bowl but that's going to be the bottom of the bird feeder I'm going to use these colored gems and these little candle holders here's a little Pyrex bowl and this is a candlestick holder and I'm going to use JB Weld clear epoxy and um this is going to be the hook for the top okay so I'll get [Music] started okay so the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to put the hook in the top of this um yeah so that's going to be the top holding the bird feeder up so I'm going to do that is I'm going to put clay I I'm using um sculpy clay and I roll it into a ball like that and I drop it into the hole and then I put my hook into the clay and that helps to hold it upright I'm going to pour the epoxy in here and that helps hold it up while the epoxy dries so I'll do that first okay so I put epoxy into a cup just as much as I need for now and then mix it so I filled it all the way to the top like that okay let that dry okay the next thing I'm going to glue together this is the going to be the bottom where the seeds are going to go and I'm going to put the candlestick holder inside of here and glue that to the bottom just like that okay all right okay the next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to glue gems in here I was going to fill it with gems to go up here but um that would make it really heavy so I'm going to just glue them around the edges of the bowl on the inside so see how that would look give it a little extra color okay I glued them in the bottom and I'm going to glue them up the sides too okay so I'm going to let that dry a little bit before I put another row of gems on there just to make sure they all stay in place so I'll let that dry overnight okay so I let these dry overnight and so I'm going to glue a few more things together um I'm going to glue this candle holder onto the Candlestick like that so I'm going to do that first okay also I wanted to show you that I glued all of these um gems inside of here so it gives it a little extra color and I also glued some gems inside of the top here where the hook is I put four gems in there okay so the next thing I'm going to glue together is this little candle holder to the top where the hook is and I'm going to glue this on top of here when that's dry like that [Music] okay okay I'll set that aside okay now this is going to go on top of here and that's going to hold the roof in place so that's going to go under here like this so I'm actually going to glue it upside down right now and put it in like this and then what I'll do is I'll mix up some more epoxy and pour it in here just to make sure it's really secure there we go okay so I've got a lot of epoxy in here let that dry glue that together and let let this all dry overnight and then I'll put the rest together okay so I've let everything dry overnight and now I'm going to glue the roof onto this um bird feeder mixed up some epoxy on here okay okay and then the last thing I have have to do is I'm going to put the hook on the top like that all right okay so here it is all glued up I just need to let it dry overnight and then I'll hang it outside well here it is outside I have it hanging on a shepherd's hook wanted to get it in the sunlight to reflect that color it looks really pretty for
