foreign here's a bird feeder I just made out of upcycled glass from thrift stores and from Goodwill and I'm going to show you how I made this so today I'm going to make a bird feeder with these materials that I found at thrift stores I found this little plate at Goodwill and I really love the colors and I was trying to think of what to use it for because it's small and I thought it'd be perfect for a bird feeder so I've got a little candlestick holders a couple different plates and I'm going to use an epoxy I'll show you to put a hook on the top I use E6000 glue to glue everything together it's good for exterior items and then I bought some Putty um you can use that or I use silly putty sometimes I'll show you what I'm going to use that for okay the first thing I'm going to glue together are these two plates I like the color of this one but it's not really deep enough to hold bird seed so I'm going to put this one which has a little lip on it I'm going to glue it to the top of this one like that so I gotta make sure you check to see where it actually touches the other played okay I'm gonna let that dry overnight okay the next thing I'm going to glue together is this candlestick with this cobalt blue I don't know what it is I just found it in the thrift store and I thought I could use that for something so I'm going to glue these two together like that and actually I got a marble here I'm gonna put a Blue Marble in the middle there for extra color that looks good and I'll glue that on top of that [Music] okay I'll set that aside so I'm going to use this plate for the roof to hang on top of the other one like that so I'm gonna put this one upside down and I'm going to glue this little dish on top of here like that and give it extra support to hold it I'll glue those two together [Music] foreign [Music] okay so now I'm gonna do the hook I'm going to have the hook go in this part up here and then this is going to go on top of here so the reason for the putty is to put in here let me roll it up first I like Silly Putty better because it's white is all I could find at Lowe's so I'm gonna I made it into a ball stick it in the bottom like that and then I'll put the hook in there that's just to hold it up until I can get the um until I can get the epoxy into there so that'll hold it straight up like that until it dries so I'll go ahead and mix up the epoxy and then I'll put that in here so just to show you how I make the epoxy I just cut the bottom of a water bottle like this to mix it in you just break off the top of this and then just squirt it all at once into a bowl and it hardens pretty quick so you wanna I think it says five minutes but it feels quicker than that okay and then you mix it together I'm just using the blood of a bottom of an old marker together really good I'm just gonna pour it in here since there's a little bit left so I'm gonna go ahead and put some gonna put some on there thank you drizzle down here it'll make it a little extra stronger that dry okay so just to show you what I have today I glued these two together glue these two plates together it's a Candlestick and this little blue thing whatever it is and then this little candlestick holder with the hook and the epoxy so when all this dries by tomorrow I should be able to put the whole thing together so that'll be it for today okay so it's been 24 hours and everything's dry the epoxy dried really well so this Hook is really strong in here really good so that'll hold that up and one thing I wanted to mention too is sometimes I'll put an extra bead of glue between plates like this I put some more glue in there just to seal it in and I did the same for this too I put extra glue in between these two just to make sure it holds well so I'm going to glue the rest of these together right now okay so first I'm gonna glue this right in the middle here like that okay okay and now I'm gonna glue this on Top This is the roof it's going to go on top of here like that all right so now I'm gonna glue this part on Top like that put a little on here too [Music] foreign [Music] and I'm going to show you how I made this
