How to Curve and Wrap Text Around a Circle with Inkscape

hello and welcome to a new tutorial my name is Daisy in today's tutorial I will show you how to curve text and how to wrap text around a circle using the free graphic design program inkscape I will show you how to add curved and circular text to this pre-made logo to make curved text we will need to use this pencil click on it and create the Curve now we're going to add text click on the A and start typing on the canvas click on the top Arrow select the text and place it on top of the Curve now select both layers go to text above and click on put on path and there is the curved text I see that the letters are too closed select the text go to a spacing above and add more space in between click on the plus symbol to add the desired space I lost a few letters but I will show you how to fix this that happened because the text is larger than the Curve select the curve and stretch it until you see the missing letters and is ready do not remove the curb before the last step if you remove it the text will go back to the normal shape select the text go to path above and click on object to path now you can go ahead and remove the curve and that is you can curve text using inkscape now I'm going to repeat this process to add text to this curved Banner click on the pencil and draw a curved line I'm going to place it aside so you can see it now I'm going to add the text click on the A and start typing on the canvas resize the text select both layers go to text above and click on put on path select the text click twice and click on the curved Arrow to rotate it and it's ready now I'm going to place it on top of the banner I'm going to change the color so you can see it now I'm going to select it again go to path and click on object to path now I'm going to erase the Curve now this part is ready now I'm going to show you how to wrap text around a circle I'm going to place text around this logo for that we're going to draw a circle click on this little circle on the left and draw a circle I'm going to change the color so it doesn't hurt our eyes now I'm going to type the text that I'm going to wrap around that Circle now select both layers go to text above and click on put on path the text is on the bottom select the circle and rotate it and that easy you can wrap text around a circle now if you wish to place the text inside the circle select both layers and click on this Arrow to flip it now the text is inside this circle if the letters are too close selected go to a spacing above click on the plus symbol and add more space now that I showed you this process I'm going to place the text back on top now if you want that is smaller just select the circle and resize it now that is ready I'm going to place it on the logo it fit just right now that I already placed it on the logo I'm going to select on it go to path and click on object to path now I can erase the other Circle now you already know how to curve text and how to wrap text around a circle if you like this video I invite you to check my other inkscape tutorials and please don't forget to support my channel by subscribing liking commenting and by pressing the notification Bell thank you for your visit and I'll see you in my next tutorial
