How to Convert Color Images to SVG in Inkscape | Covert JPG & PNG to SVG

hello and welcome to a new tutorial my name is Daisy in today's tutorial I will show you how to convert color images to SVG using the free graphic design program inscape open inkscape and insert the color image go to file click on import open the folder where you have your color image selected and open it here click ok the image that I am using to show you this process is from creative Fabrica and is a PNG image now select the image go to path click on trace bitmap and you're going to see this window on the right if you want your SVG image in one layer only click on single scan then click on apply and here is the first SVG image now I will show you how to create colored layers in SVG select the image go to path click on Trace bitmap and here instead of selecting single scan you're going to select multi-color on the textual mode select colors now count the colors on your image type that number on scans my image has 10 colors but I'm going to add two more so I'm going to type 12. now click on update preview and click on apply and here is the image in SVG in layers click twice on it and now you are going to be able to move the layers I'm going to erase this one and as you see the flower on top got erased but don't worry I'm going to show you how to add that layer you can even change the color on the layers if you wish now I will show you how to add the pink layer that got erased with the background click on the magnifying glass now click on the area you wish to add the layer and make it as big as you can now click on the paint bucket and start coloring the area I am creating the layer it's gray but I'm going to change the color when I finish click on the top Arrow select all the gray area right click and click on group now change the color using the color palette below and now you already know how to convert a PNG or jpeg image into SVG now I'm going to show you how to save it on SVG before saving this image make sure you erase the PNG or jpeg image that you used at the beginning go to file click on save as select the folder where you wish to save it type the name and on the following line you're going to select plain SVG and save it now this SVG files can be opened on the Cricut design space program or any other cutting machine program I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and please don't forget to support my channel by subscribing liking commenting and by pressing the notification Bell thank you for your visit and I'll see you in my next tutorial
