hey guys it's dominique i usually don't do videos in this type of setting i'm actually in my bathroom and i'm not wearing makeup i mean i filled in my brows a little bit i'm wearing a little mascara but i'm not wearing any foundation and the purpose of this is because i want to actually show you how to apply foundation a lot of people don't know that there's a technique to applying foundation as you can see i have some hyperpigmentation on the side here of my cheeks and a little bit here that i'm working to correct so it's really important for me when i am putting on foundation um some things are really important one make being natural two using a little bit of foundation not too much and three long-lasting coverage so first when you're putting on your foundation you don't want to apply too much i'm going to take the becca ultimate coverage foundation this is a yellow undertone i am yellow i like to shake it up a little bit and take this brush here it's not a special brush i just got it from amazon and i take one pump of it you can see the product that i have here and i'm just gonna start i put dots towards the nose that's how i do my foundation and then i start blending out and stamping motion towards the center of the face and i start blending out this is already a lot of coverage for that one pump well you see how i'm concentrating towards the center of my face and then the highlight points of my face because that's what i care about being the most even my neck i just want it to blend into my neck so i'm not going to put the most coverage there i just want to blend so i'm just going to stamp this out so you can see it for yourself now this covers in formula is really thick so i did add a little bit of sesame oil to this foundation despite the fact that i do have oily skin because sesame oil is anti-aging it also helps to break up the foundation nicely for some reason this is translating a lot more yellow in the light but in person trust me it looks more like my shade i also do other things to make sure that the foundation is matching my skin tone if it's just like a little bit too yellow because i don't want to come off as if it doesn't blend my skin tone so again as you can see it's really nice and blended in those areas of my face but we're mostly facing it towards the center of the face i like to take foundation then and in the spots that it's not blended towards i like to spot conceal so like i have like a little dark spot here i'll just like stamp i don't even get more foundation i just stamp here and along this jawline but i'm not taking extra foundation that's how i apply my foundation every morning it takes me literally two minutes to do that step one pump stamp it you want of course a high coverage foundation so you can't just get any old foundation to do this technique this becca ultimate coverage i actually got this from tj maxx i did not pay full price for this product which was a steal because it was ten dollars the value of this foundation is i think either forty or fifty dollars and so i'll be right back i'm just going to go grab a brush or a blonde bronzer so i can show you how to warm up the face so that it looks a little bit more even as you can see i have a little bit of brightening but this is my skin tone for sure i'll be right back so i'm back so i'm going to show you how i bronze this is the laura geller sunset deep bronzer and this is a little bit of a cool tone bronzer but it actually works for my skin tone and you're about to see in just a second so i don't bronze under the cheekbone i stay above the cheekbone kind of like i'm putting blush i don't know if you guys can see that do you see the difference between this side and this side it's very subtle that's why i like it so now we're going to go over here same thing with the cheeks this brush also is doesn't take a lot of pigment so i feel fine to like swirl and really get in there and also it's not super powdery so it's not going to break apart and then i sometimes will take it up you know just here just around the face just to get a little bit and you see that's literally my foundation look this is what i do most days and then i take this is the voluminous lash paradise from l'oreal there we go and then i just take any plain old lip gloss literally like this one is the sweetened shimmer lip oil you can get like five of these little things if you go to ulta they have like nail filers hand sanitizers lip balms lip oils uh nail scrubs like whatever i think it's like one of those like knit brushes for your nails whatever you can get five or five dollars so i picked up two of these lip oils and in my five things and then i just and that is how i do my foundation i know i didn't show you guys anything special but yeah i always say if you want specific products um as you can see this is a matte foundation so i i put sesame oil in it and it's still matte i probably would go and set this with a powder a translucent powder but again the becca ultimate coverage you're wondering what shade i am i'm in shade maple and then also this lip oil from sweden shimmer just adds a nice little gloss to the lips and then the laura geller bronzer and sunset deep so thank you for watching this video if you say it with me this song love you guys and hopefully if you're a natural makeup wearer like i am you don't like a bunch of color you don't do a 10-step eye shadow that was helpful for someone who doesn't know how to wear makeup or they're not sure how to do it start with putting the most coverage in the center of the face and then lightly blend out as you can see i did not touch above this forehead area it's blended you can see there's no like lines of demarcation so you can see to the side when i turn to the side as you can see it's not there's no lines of demarcation everything is just nice and blended and that's what you want so thank you for watching this video i'll talk with you guys soon love you bye
