How the Rogue was made in Dungeons and Dragons

hey so i've been playing around with a ton of the classes lately okay okay which one's your favorite oh the ranger by far good choice you see the ranger is actually a really powerful class yeah especially the beastmaster subclass and i just lost all respect for you understood but i was wondering if there was a class that was a front runner but wasn't oh so you mean like hits hard but likes to stay in the back that's what she said but yeah someone's stealthy how stealthy we talking this stealthy okay i got something for that perfect yeah i have this new class called a rogue he's amazing at stealth slide of hand and does some major damage in the right circumstance yes this is what i was wanting you know what else you'll be wanting parents what you see this class is allergic to parents it can't have parents why not because it's like an unspoken rule you're either trying to hide from them there could be a good explanation for that or they're dead okay seems like this class doesn't deserve happiness nope that's why they're gonna be played as edgy rebellious and be the problem for the party most of the time why because good point but you can play them differently than that right yes but we want people to think that's how they're played reason being i already got artwork for edgyroad characters in the book ah yeah a little bit too late for that but how stealthy is this rogue well you have two options option one you never roll anything above a seven for stealth it's just how it goes or option two you roll crazy high where your stealth is 15 points higher than the check wow those are two very big extremes i know for some reason you can't just stealth as a rogue you either don't stealth or you still now i could work with that is there anything else i should know yes there's actually a ton of perks that you can gain that will help you avoid damage or half it sounds great yeah but in return your dm's gonna hate you sounds like a fair trade and lastly there's a thing called sneak attack where you can deal extra damage if you have advantage on an attack oh that's always nice but if you're playing a rogue i will need you to say this line over and over again after i ask you a question you ready so you walk into a tavern do i have advantage you begin to talk to the king do i have advantage you're alone in the woods do i have advantage oh perfect you're gonna be an amazing rogue thanks i'm doing my best no problem any questions yeah i do have one what is it do i have advantage ah [Music]
