How Dungeons and Dragons was Invented

[Music] man what would we do if we didn't have board games in our life i know right they hold great fun and make it so you can only go from point a to point b yeah but wouldn't it be cool if we were able to choose how we get from point a to point b what do you mean like even though this board game has a clear detailed path we can follow let's say i want to go off the path and find my own way to point b or not even go to point b what if i want to go to point c oh i get you but isn't that kind of rude to the person who made the game oh absolutely they probably spent a long time making this that the only option for us is to follow the path that they don't want us to take that's that's still kind of rude but uh what you're saying is we're the ones who decide how to play the game no i i thought you said we can choose what we want to do actually we don't we're going to be using dice that no one uses and that's going to determine if we do something or not so this game is about doing what we want to do but actually it's not yep so pretty much this game is about rolling dice and roll playing i'm so alone oh so this is going to be a tabletop role-playing game yeah i was thinking more ttrpg but that works too right well what about our characters well you'll start by choosing a fantasy race and every race has this awesome ability that comes with it that's awesome except for humans not as awesome so even in a fantasy game we're we are still very basic yeah we suck anyway after that we'll choose a path called classes and we need to make sure each class has a stereotype to go along with them why well because i'll be out of a job oh yeah makes sense and we'll make four versions of this game one two three and five what about four we don't talk about four why don't we talk about four remember lexi yeah she died because she talked about four oh well does this game have a name yeah what is two things that everyone loves uh being debt free and having freedom yep dungeons and dragons so this game's gonna be about exploring dungeons and fighting dragons no no yeah people will rarely do that most of the time they're gonna be in taverns trying to figure out what to do and also try to figure out a group name so why call it dungeons and dragons i already trademarked the name yeah i can't get out of that so how will this game be received oh great awesome yeah people will very quickly think it's devil worship but don't worry their kids are gonna love it devil worship no the game why will people think it's devil worship well because our characters will worship fake gods and deities and in return they will receive unearthly powers oh i don't know how people can think that's devil worship some characters even make packs with devils there it is
