How I WON A Pokemon Shiny Hunting Tournament

pokemon legends arceus the game where you take a few steps then a shiny so pokemon youtuber twig thought it'd be a great idea to host a shiny hunting tournament probably just for fun nothing too serious the winners get two thousand dollars well if he's inviting someone like me with only 80 000 subs the competition can't be that fierce it looks like i'm sitting at the table with the big kids some were acting a little more confident than others but i just call that simping bro so you might be wondering how exactly does a shiny hunting tournament work it's actually pretty simple first everyone is randomly put into teams of two then everyone has one hour to find as many shinies as they can and the team that ends up with the most chinese wins the two thousand dollars i was partnered up with abdullah smash a well-respected youtuber who has done a ton of shiny hunting abdalla and i immediately traveled to the obsidian field lens where we both have massive mass outbreaks i skipped most outbreaks but dug through the easy ones like wormpole because you can go through them faster and when it's one dangerous and easy like abra i saved beforehand yeah i'm i'm not getting anything wait a minute did you all hear that [Music] [Applause] yeah i'm i'm not getting anything dude i did not pay attention to that i may have had a paris i was not looking at chat but actually maybe while abidallah searched for the paris a 250 side quest was announced with some confrontation i don't want to because it keeps our eyes from the ultimate prize first one to slay a noble pokemon in any area gets 250 yo you guys want to do it go back to go get cleaver yeah go get cleaver like right now wait we shared it i got the shiny i got the shiny go wait don't we want to go for just all the shinies or do you want you want to go for the food okay well i don't know what do you what do you think i think i think it's a distraction honestly okay distract it but if you if you really want to no don't even an outbreak [Music] yeah we take those all day [Music] great we're in meanwhile keegan j did beat us to the charity but at least abdullah got the shiny dust docks all of a sudden all the contestants were pulled into the same call for a trash talk session sure uh we've got a very quick trash talk session three two one go i have five shinies no one else does tell me he's telling the truth and he was telling the truth he and darkrai had already caught a total of five shinies we needed to keep up twig jumps into our call to say we got a minute to catch a flying gyarados for 150 dollars i got a little distracted along the way okay do you know where that is andrew because i don't remember um i think it's where the toga kiss is it just has a chance to be a gyarados wrong it's obsidian oh obsidian falls oh i know where it's at you wanna you wanna go grab it or um i can i can go for it okay go for it oh we got shiny screw it what no no do the go no okay fine fine fine get the shiny i think i think i can do both actually yeah yeah okay i'm i'm going going i may not know exactly where it's at but i know the general area i got right oh my gosh weird here just i got it got it it's done game oh he got it okay nevermind three seconds in i didn't even know you were going for it i had to make sure that we got that so we're set the obsidian is the jam man i think it is that's because i had four perfected dex entries which increased the odds even more not to mention their simple encounters yet another side quest was announced the first team to catch 10 badoos wins 200 all i had to do was switch to daytime then bam seven badoofs while avidala caught the other three badoofs [Music] okay yeah nothing in that group cascoons i can't i honestly can't tell right now whatever get it and put it in chat asap like stop what you're doing yeah i'm going back i'm going back if it catches which it doesn't did you save save the game i saved i saved okay you saved it it's a silcoon okay it's a silcoon great yeah once again it was in an outbreak but no digging okay that's fine okay so let me get our chat pulled up while this whole animation's going through i honestly think if we can get one more i think we're in a pretty safe spot to win the last one little challenge is the next one to catch a shiny the next team to catch a shiny gets 150 and the challenge ends seven antler boy with six shinies golduck mime junior weasel wormpole alphaglaily and ponyta that leaves two teams who won the shiny tournament drum roll please it was a tie team moxie dark ride were able to catch eight shinies as well kerlia rodem bronzong gengar alpha paris stantler petalil and krikatot since two teams were tied with eight shinies each twig explains the tiebreaker will be settled by an arceus battle one representative from each team must climb up to spear pillar and face arceus the tiebreaker can end in one of two ways the first to beat arceus wins or the first to die to arceus loses abdol and i discussed who would be best to face the god of all pokemon then abedala told me this okay so i've beaten arceus without taking damage before okay i think you should do it then i'm i'm familiar i'm 100 sure you should do it then exactly so i'm with you all right let's do that this is it two thousand dollars on the line can abhidharla actually do this what if he gets nervous what if he misses clicks what if he oh dark right died we won the tiebreaker was settled the two thousand dollar grand prize was split between us and i shared some class sportsmanship in the
