How an AVERAGE Shinobi Could Become Hokage!

so occasionally I get fun and interesting emails asking me to make relatively creative videos emphasis on occasional here though because the majority of the emails I get are like what if Saint Jutsu was eight Gates question mark but today I want to talk about one of those interesting emails see the email I got a couple days ago posed me a relatively simple question if you were an average Joe dropped in the Naruto Universe how would you become Hokage what goals what derivations what standards would you set in your life to make sure that you somebody with nothing particularly special about them could become the Hokage the leader of the strongest Village in the universe and honestly this got me thinking and honestly this got me thinking because we've done videos along these lines we've asked how an average Joe ninja would kill the entire Akatsuki we've built the most busted character combination of abilities you can get in Naruto but of all of the conceptual videos we've ever done this one feels the most difficult because becoming Hokage requires a lot of things to go correctly it takes more than just being powerful you have to be in the right position at the right time you need to have political movement you need to be trusted you don't get to just become super powerful and then be Hokage I mean Orochimaru is super powerful and he isn't Hokage in fact he was actively passed up on Hokage so Minato could be it fugaku was very powerful and he got passed up to be Hokage because of his lineage just like with the real world gaining a position of power requires not only skill but also a fair amount of luck but this character we're building doesn't have skill so how do we parlay an immense amount of luck into making an average Joe the Hokage well that's the idea we're going to be exploring today because today we're talking how you would become Hokage before I get to building your political campaign for you guys please for me like this video subscribe to the page Joe there's nothing necessarily special about you as a ninja I'm sure every single one of you are special little nuggets and I'm proud of each and every single one of you but for this one circumstance let's assume that when you get thrown into the Naruto universe you don't get anything special now I'm not saying that you get thrown into one of the Lesser Clans like the Nara or the akamichi or the yamanaka no those are storied powerful and thousands of year old ninja clans choji is the 17th Clan head of the akamichi clan and every single one of those individual ninja clans comes with its own specific ability the Nara get their Shadow technique the akamichi get their partial expansion the yamanaka get their mind transfer if you want to go beyond that the abarama get their bugs the inazuka get their dogs for all intents and purposes the konoha 13 that we got we're all special with the exception of two people 10 10 in Sakura and it was actually revealed in the ShakeOut of all the events of Naruto that Sakura was also very special her chocolate control is arguably the greatest in the universe so really the only ninja from the konawa 13 who was normal was 10 10 and PSY see side inhale from some prophetic Clan he just had an incredibly terrible childhood under the control of danzo who forced him him from a very young age to master all techniques as they pertain to assassination so no we're not shikamaruino Shoji Shino or even Kiba or Tenten which means going into the Shinobi Academy we have average strength intelligence speed stamina average Ninjutsu prowess taijutsu prowess and genjutsu prowess just because going into the Shinobi Academy we have the same level of Promise as 10 10 doesn't mean we have to make the same Life Choices as her because objectively she made all the wrong Life Choices so how do we with an equal amount of potential is 10 10 entering the Shinobi Academy become the Hokage well the easy answer to you might sound something like oh train and eight Gates mind you we are average sure hypothetically we could train in the eight Gates but the amount of work required to master the eight Gates is well beyond an average input of effort broccoli is a sociopath and so is might God the amount of Will and determination required to fully Master the eight Gates is well beyond our scope so even if we did want to train in something like the eight Gates we would probably only get to the fourth or so gate and then our muscles would start tearing and as we don't have the same level of delusional psychosis as Rock Lee or might guy that's probably about where we would give up I mean put yourself in those shoes realistically if you throw a punch so hard that it tore your bicep you're probably stopping at that punch so even if hypothetically we decided to train right alongside Rockley and my guide we're not getting as far with their move set as they are but keep the idea of the fourth gate in your brain so with an average will average stats average Ninjutsu genjutsu and taijutsu prowess how do you achieve greatness well the answer is consistency you see now obviously there has been a fair amount of kage who have been elected kage strictly based off the fact that they were young and strong Minato being the best example of this that's not gonna be us we don't have the level of talent required to become Hokage at 20 years old based off of what we accomplished in the war also a large part of the reason that Minato was elected Hokage in the first place is because he had the third grade Shinobi World War to battle it so not only did he have power but he also had circumstance see Harrison obviously could continue being Hokage he was the Hokage for at least what another 15 to 16 years after Minato was elected Hokage he stepped down from the role because he wanted to stop the third grade Shinobi World War he wanted to bring the Wrath and the anger from the extremists within konua who wanted to push the third grade Shinobi World War into other countries territory onto himself however because the third Hokage needed to step down a fourth Hokage needed to be elected and Minato had just made a very big name for himself in one of the longest wars in ninja history so even in the case of incredibly young and talented ninja like Minato there had to be a fair amount of luck so we can't go the Minato route we have to go a different way we have to take the donzo route listen I'm making you Hokage I never said I would make you a good person most leaders are bad people but don't worry we're not gonna be nearly as evil as Dante we're gonna have similar goals and somewhat similar tactics but we're not gonna be as evil as donso when it boils down to it when coming out of the Shinobi Academy we need to focus on mastering as many jutsus as possible we don't need to be able to make the world's biggest Fireball or the world's largest lightning strike or the world's strongest wind Palm but we quickly need to ascertain how many chakra Natures we have what chakra nature we're best at and what shoots us within that trucker nature we can do since we're dealing with the law of averages here let's assume that we have between two and three Elemental releases open to us if we can learn 20 to 30 jutsus in each of these let's say three Elemental releases that gives us an Arsenal to work with and even though we're not using these juicers at the highest level of proficiency known to man having a larger catalog of jutsus gives us more options in combat on top of this we need to learn how to use certain jutsus in conjunction with each other let's say hypothetically we have water and lightning release using our jutsus in a way similar to boruto stream where we cover our Battlefield in water and then throw electricity on it to shock who's ever standing in the water is absolutely crucial to us as combining Jutsu together not through the use of a Keke genkai because let's be real there's no way we get one massively improves the strength of those respective jutsus most water release is just gonna make whoever you hit with it wet especially at the level that we're using however water release when combined with the likes of Earth release can create mud which we can use to initiate mudslides if we combined our water release with Fire release we can create steam or Mist to impair the vision of other people in the battlefield and we've already touched on what we can do with the combination of water and lightning which is why it's so important for us to understand exactly what jutsu's we can use and how to use them together we need to build essentially move sets because mind you we are of average intelligence which means average battle IQ so we are going to have to train for certain situations and what to do in those certain situations because adapting to a situation on the Fly really not our bag outside of focusing on Ninjutsu combinations we need to put the majority of our time and effort into genjutsu see unfortunately as the world's most average ninja studying genjutsu is going to be a bit rough because genjutsu is absolutely the hardest of the big three jutsus to you see genjutsu requires an insane amount of chakra control this is why Kakashi believed that Sakura would be a genjutsu master one day now the reason that genjutsu is so hard to use is because you need to manipulate the five senses of another ninja and you need to do that with chakra meaning if your chakra control isn't incredibly precise that is to say more precise than the person you're trying to mess with through the means of genjutsu you're either not going to be able to use genjutsu on people or you're going to run into a kernai trying to play sitachi and Genji's a situation and get it flipped onto you which is why we need to train and practice as hard as our somewhat lazy ass can until eventually we are able to put average ninja in slightly above average ninja in genjutsu consistently and that's everything we need to accomplish coming out of the Shinobi Academy as Guinea at least that's everything we need to accomplish for ourselves because like I've already stated being strong isn't enough to be Hokage you also need luck but I don't believe luck is real I believe you may make your own life luck is what happens when preparation meets hard work therefore since we've already identified that we want to be Hokage but don't really have the means to do it it's time to put in some of that preparation which means we need a click but not just any old click a powerful click we need to find the strongest people around us and stick to them like leeches see While We're Young the disparity between different ninjas Powers is significantly less noticeable the difference between Naruto and 1010 or Sasuke and 1010 in boruto is insurmountable however in the early days of Naruto while there definitely was a gap it was much smaller we need to Parlay our library of ninjutsu and slight genjutsu specialty to cozying up to the strongest people in our grade which means not only do we have to be likable we also have to have a good eye for Talon and even though we're average you can be average in likable as if we're being real the Hokage election is as much about popularity as it is about power it's why Minato won over fugaku and Orochimaru so after amassing a group of powerful friends in the Shinobi Academy and is it getting we need to identify which of them is the strongest preferably in the Shinobi Academy and we need to identify what their moves are are they a Ninjutsu specialist are they a tied you to specialist is their Ninjutsu mid-range long-range short range and we need to build our move set around theirs which is why we need to specialize in genjutsu assuming that the strongest character in our class specializes in anything but genjutsu us having genjutsu will complement whatever fighting style they have you use Ninjutsu cool I'll make sure the person is standing still for a second so you can hit him with a fireball you use taiju to cool I'll make sure the person is standing still for a second so you can uppercut up genjutsu especially when used in a fair to middling way is the ultimate support weapon and if luck is on our side this person who we've cozied up to is gonna end up on Arginine Squad now you could say that this comes up to luck but hopefully by showing a certain amount of compatibility in the Shinobi Academy will be selected to be together because they believe that will operate well together together on a getting Squad kind of how like Ina she could show or always chosen to be together because of the compatibility of their different ninjutsus it feels important to mention that we can really only truly begin to train our genjutsu and taijutsu and Ninjutsu after becoming Genie because they were being entirely real if we were in the Shinobi Academy with three different Elemental releases and 20 juices under all of those Elemental releases we would be far from average to a certain degree even achieving that as a getting is relatively impressive but once again I'd like to drill into your guys's brain here we are not using any of these Ninjutsu or genjutsu at a super high level it's kind of like me saying I speak Japanese even though I just know a bunch of words doesn't mean I can speak the language well but oh do I know that dinner is bun Gohan now that we've secured a place cozying up to the strongest person of Our Generation we need to work on our team's chemistry the more that our team achieves the better that all of us look it's like team Minato accomplishing the economy Bridge Mission even though Rin did technically nothing on that mission her being a part of the team that basically won the third great Shinobi World War is gonna build her credit massively with the village and if Rin hadn't gotten her entire rib cage blown out by Kakashi that probably would have given her a fair chance at running for Hokage one day and these are the kind of things we need your name needs to come up consistently even if it's tied to your best friend who's really doing all the accomplishing cause a rising tide raises all boats but mind you we're still getting so maybe the best thing that we get is a land of wave situation where our team runs into a delinquent Joni known for his power and through hard work grittiness and teamwork we're able to defeat him we then head into the tuning exams which objectively is gonna be kind of hard because it's very individual but an average to slightly above average ninja like ourselves should be able to make it through the written exam I mean 1010 did it in an average just slightly average ninja like ourselves should also make it through the forest of death 1010 did it the real problem is the 1v1s but this is exactly what we've been training in genjutsu for see we're gonna be battling against genin here and considering the fact that there's no Ploy from the hidden Sand Village to try and invade Kona during our tuning exams there's not gonna be any freakishly strong ninjas from other Villages that doesn't happen that off which means by and large we're just gonna be fighting other genin to try to become a chunee the only real issue are the two or three strongest people in our class one of witches are best friend now with all of that out of the way your average genian has next to no defenses against genjutsu this is why a wide-reaching and relatively weak genjutsu was used on the entire Stadium during the tuning exams during The konoha Crusher and almost every single character got knocked out the only people who didn't get knocked out by this were Geniuses like Shikamaru and Sakura and like I said that was an incredibly wide reaching genjutsu genjutsu that's able to affect hundreds of people at a time is significantly weaker on an individual than against you so that only works on one person which means basically through the sheer power hour of average to above average genjutsu we're working our way pretty far through the tuning exams that is until we obviously get to the strongest of our class but let's say or too fast or if too great at chocolate control to be placed under our level of genjutsu so we maybe win two fights and we're fully aware that we're not gonna win the third we can not afford to be embarrassed remember how cool of a character Kiba was before his battle against Naruto in the tuning exams and then what happened he got embarrassed and then he disappeared I mean he battled sock on an Ukon and then he disappeared if we get embarrassed in one of the later stages of the tuning exam God forbid the final stage you can kiss that Hokage roll goodbye people don't forget these things you remember what happened to 1010's back that moment made her so fast the cameraman never saw her again so how do we avoid this battle well we don't forfeit then people will think we're a coward and then once again Hokage goodbye no what we do is we feign an injury but convincingly we catch one of the weaker getting who maybe we beat earlier in the tuning exams in another genjutsu we make ourselves appear to be this huge scary monster and then we let that genin stab us oh no and right before my final fight Hospital forfeit our best friend wins the tuning exam looks great for him we'll live everybody checks us getting stabbed up to the Kenny and who lost to us being disgruntled and angry they get cast out for breaking the ninja rules because we made the sign of reconciliation they get thrown in ninja jail who cares it's not their story they're irrelevant we didn't even name them and since we made it so far into the tuning exams but unfortunately couldn't keep fighting we probably catch a Pity vote and become a tuning anyways oh you don't want pity too bad we're average we gotta use what we can but now we're a tuning we have to get way stronger but how do you get stronger wouldn't you kind of suck you cheat the way I see it you got two options I mean obviously we're gonna continue training in our Ninjutsu and taijutsu and genjutsu but if we just continue on that trajectory we're gonna be on wall due to your Manning 1010's weapon shop in no time so we gotta do a quick cycle of steroids or seven or eight Cycles the way I see it there's two ways to acquire power relatively quickly and both are some kind of sage mode now we are not going to ryucci Cave we are not getting bit by the Great White Snake Sage we will not make it and then we will simply just be snake food but there is another kind of snake we could be bit by because we could go to Orochimaru and from Orochimaru we could receive a curse mark now I know what you're saying Mick one in ten people survived the curse mark being implanted on them and you are absolutely right if we go to Orochimaru we have a 10 chance of living but in this life you gotta take chances sometimes and 99 of gamblers stop gambling before their big hit let's say hypothetically you don't believe our 10 chance is a high enough chance mind you it's never been explicitly stated that stronger people have a better chance of surviving the curse mark but obviously plot necessitates that Sasuke doesn't die after getting the curse mark and planted on him but who knows how strong the sound Village 4 were before they got their curse marks I mean they all lost to getting and that was with their curse marks our other option is fine Jiraiya and more specifically find Jiraiya and ask him to train Us in toad sage mode but Nick Only the strongest people in Naruto end up being toad sages Only the strongest people in Naruto end up training to be toad sages oh and Uriah accidentally reverse summons himself to mount moabuko he's not strong his strongest ability was shuriken whatever due to it was training at Mount muobuko that made Jiraiya strong they could say that Jiraiya always had greatness within him but did he everything that we saw of jariah prior to him training with the Toads was nothing special he was the Naruto of his team with no demon Fox living inside of it well obviously one day draw you turned into one of the strongest ninjas on Earth I honestly could have just been from hard work as jirai is not from a special Clan and the only thing that was really special about him was the fact that heroes in was one of his teachers and having heroes in in his life absolutely helped Draya in his journey to strike but who's to say that we don't have a powerful teacher we're average our teacher doesn't have to be oh for that matter let's say that our team leader is Jiraiya and jariah realizes that one of our team members wants to specialize in medical Ninjutsu he can't help the other one's already too talented he doesn't need toad Sage shoots until he looks at me and he's like this sorry bastard needs help and so we go to mount mubuko and I train in toad Sage Mode listen I'm not saying I'm gonna become a perfect toad Sage only Minato in Naruto were able to pull that off that's not us but could I be an imperfect toad Sage probably training in toad Sage Mode is kind of just sitting sit on a piece of slate on top of a spike and try to balance your chakra with nature chakra to create senjutsu chakra now if you mess up the mix you turn into a stone but Paws got a stick that's able to beat all the senjutsu chakra out of you which probably would have been like hugely important in the war Arc that could have hit Modera with it and therefore he would have been able to use hajirama sageman do I know sure we probably won't Master Sage Mode as fast as Naruto or drier or Minato but give us a year or two to work on it and we'll get a somewhat imperfect toad stage mode it'd probably be more imperfect than Jiraiya's but who cares if we look like a toad while we're using Sage Mode at least it's a slight buff but either way you go be it Orochimaru or jaraya you're incurring some kind of sage was getting the curse mark allows you to tap into Orochi Maru senjutsu chakra therefore it's basically a sage mode but with either choice no matter what you do so long as you survive you're gonna achieve mid-joning levels of power which if we stopped right there would be average MO ninjas eventually become Joanie and most average joanine are average but while we're out trading at Mount mubuko or with Orochimaru our best friend is out there making a name for himself he's saving the world he's kicking akotsky members asses he's our golden boy he's our Naruto he's getting thrown up and down by the crowd and in every one of those golden moments we're right there beside him we're grabbing the bad guy's ankles so the Golden Boy can knock him out we're placing a bad guy in two seconds of genjutsu so our Golden Boy can kick him in the teeth sure when it comes down to it he is getting the majority of the credit but we have consistently been there for every battle and while he probably would have been fine without us he is never without us so even though people might whisper that idea they can never confirm it but one day when it appears as though our mid-joning level of power isn't gonna help us beat this next generation of baddies we have to leave the village not like a rogue ninja we have to go out on a mission see after acquiring somewhat of a level of stardom being associated with The Golden Boy of the village were entrusted with an S rank Mission hunt down on a member of the Akatsuki and the member of the Akatsuki that we're gonna hunt down is he dog but here's the thing when we leave the village We're not gonna try and kill hadan no we're gonna try and work with him not join the Akatsuki because we have to become Hokage if we join the Akatsuki we can never be the Hokage it's like being a fellow but we do have to track Hidan down and upon finding him we have to tell Hidan how much we want to learn the ways of Lord Josh Sheen now we learn from the Akatsuki hidden light novel that Hidan will jump at any opportunity to tell whoever he can about the ways of Lord jashine he will teach whoever he can the teachings of Lord jashine and therefore we just have to be adamant with Hidan about learning the ways of Lord Joshi and he will love us and it's at this point that we have to dedicate ourselves to learning the ways of Lord Joshi only problem is joshianism does require you to kill all of the people closest to you and not like proximity wise like emotionally so we do have to somewhat sever ties with konowaf for the moment once again not a rogue ninja but we do have to fall off the map for a couple of years maybe we fake our death or maybe we write a letter saying I'm going to train with some mountain sage whatever we do we cannot be in Kona walk now after learning everything that we can learn from heeda and we have to go our separate ways from hidon because if we stick around he'd done people are going to assume we're in the Akatsuki and eventually we probably would end up in the Akatsuki instead we have to go to a random Village and we have to start a mini life there we have to spend six months being a farmer ingratiating ourselves with the local sniffing apples from our next door neighbor who has an apple orchard and being like um backs this year and then after we get close to everybody in this Village we have to murder them once again we're not good people it honestly we might have to do this to a couple of villages the amount of people you gotta murder to get Lord joshin's blessing is hazy at best but after we've satiated Lord joshin's thirst for blood eventually we get some mystical God's blessing and an immortal body I don't know what you're saying you're saying Mick everyone's gonna find out that you're murdering all these people no they're not because we're gonna kill everyone no Witnesses the only people who found he Dawn who killed enough people to gain Lord joshin's blessing or the akotsky also we're gonna go far away from the land of fire we're gonna be doing this in like the land of stone or like the land of grass some small country we could even maybe go to the land of hot water where he Don came from because they don't even have Ninja so they have nobody to send to stop the maniacal man killing people in order to gain an immortal body perfect now we have an immortal body we have the blessing of Lord Joshi which means now it's time to find Hidan and show him how good we've done and he Don would more likely than not greet us with open arms as a brother in arms which is exactly the level of trust we're looking for when we decapitate him and run back to Kono Hall with his skull see Hidan is a notorious criminal a member of the Akatsuki one of the most dangerous people in the world even if hypothetically people are starting to hear that there's somebody who looks a lot like Nick cutting down civilians in the hidden grass Village but I show up with the still talking and still breathing head of Hidan those questions and those sightings are gonna disappear and now I'm the man who killed one of the strong and scary men members of the Akatsuki now everyone knows that for all that time that I was gone I was actually hunting down members of the Akatsuki and Gathering Intel definitely not cutting down civilians and after we throw a really big hole in throw hidan's head in it I now just have an immortal body and the moniker of an Akatsuki killer which is pretty good especially when you consider the fact that having an immortal body blessed by Lord joshing is literally all he Dawn had he Don couldn't use Ninjutsu or genjutsu he just had his Blessing in taijuts I have Ninjutsu taijutsu kenjutsu Sage Mode sort of and the blessing and now that I have an immortal body I can train in more dangerous things if I didn't go the route of getting orochimaru's curse mark before I could get it now A 1 in 10 chance just became a 10 in 10 chance so maybe if hypothetically earlier we went on the path of getting an imperfect Sage Mode we can now double down on top of this I can re-up my training in the eight Gates sure I still may not have enough will or determination or skill to get anywhere in near the eighth gate but any damage I incur while using the eight Gates is gonna be instantly healed which means I would probably be able to open to I don't know maybe around the fifth gate maybe even the sixth if I dedicate myself hard enough I mean Kakashi opened the first gate accidentally no obviously Kakashi is a genius and he was physically training while he did this even if I only stick to the first four Gates muscles still tear in the fourth gate however I wouldn't have to worry about that all that really matters is now that I can open any amount of gates I have access to way more of my chakra than I had before as every single ninja in the Ninja World who doesn't have access to the eight Gates is only capable of using 20 of their chakra and the eight gates are 10 katsu points so you're able to unlock to use more and more of your chakra now there's no actual percentage associated with every single game by being able to open at least half of the gates in for a long amount of time because my body is able to regenerate itself now that I would have doubled if not triple the amount of chakra I have access to this is the true pity of the eight Gates the Gates massively increases both genjutsu and Ninjutsu prowess but we only ever see it used to increase taijuts and now that I have access to way more chakra than I did originally my choker pool is no longer average my chakra pull is two to three times average which is massive which means I'm now able to use bigger and better Ninjutsu and genjutsu at a higher level of frequency on top of this I have a cursory ability to use senjutsu whether that be through orochimaru's curse mark or through an imperfect toad sage mode and considering the fact that we're going to be trying to dedicate ourselves to being a genjutsu specialist that actually is a really good combination with toad Sage Mode as a lot of genjutsu is launched from a standing not moving position which means that while we were battling trying to control the five senses of the Ninja we were fighting we would be able to pull in Sage Mode chakra but even just murdering one member of the Akatsuki and being there for our best friend is he accomplished a lot of very important things probably isn't enough to get us elected as Hokage over our much more powerful best friend and even if hypothetically our best friend didn't exist here we still wouldn't be the most powerful than most important person in the village by a long shot so what we got to do now is wait we gotta wait and tell our best friend eventually becomes Hokage and if it's looking like our best friend isn't going to become Hokage we gotta hitch our wagon to whoever is about to because the most important thing that we can do is become an advisor of sort to the Hokage and we let the Hokage lead until there's a point in The Village's history when the Hokage is really the only strong person in the village I'm talking like heroes in after minato's death dry is out of the village tsunade's out of the village Orochimaru is out of the village minutos dead Bach was around but the Uchiha are really mad and nobody's gonna choose him really when it boils down to it the only strong person in the village is here is it we gotta wait for one of those periods and then we have to kill our best friend listen we don't have to be the ones who do it we could hire somebody else to do it like donzo all that matters is they're not breathing anymore and that nobody finds out it was us because nine times out of ten when a Hokage becomes incapacitated or straight up dies their advisor steps up this is what happened with Danza when Tsunade was incapacitated after the pain Arc this is what happened with heroes in when Toby Rama died against kinkaku and ginkaku if you are close to the Hokage and the Hokage dies or goes into a coma a good amount of the time you just become the Hokage because we have absolutely no idea how a Hokage is selected and here's the thing everybody knows of our exploits I killed he Don we can still hear him yelling under the dirt I was there for all of the legendary battles that our best friend partooken it's been so many decades since those battles I've weaved the stories as they're told that he couldn't have done it without me and there's no other age-appropriate war heroes to take over this role so what do you do you promote the man with familiarity with the position of Hokage because I've been advising him for years I know what the paperwork looks like I know the day in the day out schedule of the Hokage and I just like him am a war hero and more than anything while we may not be as strong as our friend and we just murdered in his sleep we're still pretty strong and more than anything we're trusted because listen donzo created the Akatsuki he had an underground ring of children working as assassins he orchestrated the Uchiha Massacre and he was this close to becoming Hokage the only reason danzo didn't become hokages because somebody outside of the village had a Byakugan for some reason and also somebody who had left the village murdered him the people catching on to donzo were not coming from konawa he was spoiled from completely outside efforts so are we as evil as donzo no I mean with the 300 to 500 innocent civilians we had to cut down to get an immortal body disagree with us maybe but you know what we definitely are is Hokage and if you're going oh Nick I don't think this would get you the job I don't think everything accomplishment wise that I just listed out to you is enough to marry me becoming Hokage well everything I just described is just Shikamaru a fairly talented child who didn't win in the tuning exams yet still became a tuning participated in every key battle but never was the true star of any of them but a couple of important fights killed Hidan mostly just helped the main much more powerful characters battle against the biggest baddies became the advisor to the Hokage and then when the village looked like there was nobody else in the village strong enough to be the Hokage the Hokage disappear which considering the fact that kawaki just put Naruto and Hinata in the daikoku 10 and Sasuke is now a confirmed Rogue ninja in boruto the only other option outside of Shikamaru in the boruto manga for Hokage right now is kakash so if you believe that Shikamaru could possibly be the eighth Hokage to cover for Naruto in his absence so could I now sure Shikamaru hasn't killed hundreds of Innocents as far as you know but here's the thing you're not voting Kona wise and that Hokage cloak it's gonna look good on me but you guys tell me how would an average Joe in the Naruto Universe become Hokage tell me in the comments
