Horse Adopter Heroes - Super Cooper & Amy

[Music] i'm here with amy and super cooper and how did you find this horse i posted on facebook exactly what i was looking for and one of your trainers actually it was i think it was a tennessee equine group and one of your trainers actually uh commented and put a picture of him and i said he's exactly what i want i love a bay and i love white socks so he was perfect and a little strip of course adorable so i said i have to come see him so i did i don't know how many days it was later it was pretty quick turnaround i um hooked up my trucking trailer my mom came with me i had my little girl and you know she was 11 weeks old and we went and saw him and i was sold so these are some of the ribbons that i have gotten from cooper so this this was his first show this was the jumper show that was right down the road and um we got first and seconds in all his classes and he was so much fun one is stone's river pony club combined test uh this is in murfreesboro and this is where he he did great here too it was a combined test was dressage and uh show jumping this one right here was walnut trace farm which is also in nashville uh this was a three phase so dressage show jumping and cross country gym i like that one he does like this and we ended up fourth place so it was a lot a lot of fun this is probably my favorite um i had it hanging up in my tack room and i have a baby and or a baby horse and he pulled it down so that's why it's all dirty but anyways this is um this was middle tennessee pony club horse trials and this is at percy warner and they have it once a year and we got third place and he i just probably had the most fun there that i've ever had and so this is definitely the one i am most proud of even though it doesn't look like it but we are we definitely are he is just so much fun we it was uh we did trail rides but then we also did gallop trail rides and they have these huge 17 hand horses and he's only 14 one so where they might be cantering we were definitely galloping to try to keep up [Music] he does get excited it shows but who doesn't got to get your game face on it shows right and even getting on he's super chill stands really nicely [Music] [Applause] be what you wanna be [Music] do what you wanna do and if it sets you free believing only you yesterday is gone forget about tomorrow and the ceilings you see right through [Music] to the [Music] take your banner and raise it to the sky thanks so much for having us yes thank you for coming you know it's always a treat for us because we see these horses in such horrible conditions and then they're adopted and they go on but to come out and see him for who he's really meant to be it's a special treat absolutely um i don't think a lot of them get to realize their full potential i'm glad he did for sure and i think he is too right yes you are i mean he thankfully was surrendered to our organization he could have gone to an auction absolutely and been shipped to mexico and nobody would have ever known him and you would have missed out on an amazing horse i would have and i'm so glad that it turned out differently for us don't be afraid to take on a rescue you know it's a risk but there's such high reward and i mean you know look what's happened with us i mean i took a risk on him and he's just turned out to be the most fun and he's helped my confidence and um and my friends confidence they got to writing not too long ago and every show i go to people just compliment him and say how adorable he is and of course that makes me feel great and he and it makes him feel even better he knows that he's cute so um i just i just encourage anybody that is out there that's you're not sure one way or another give it a try why not what do you have to lose um you've got so much to gain from it so take the leap why pay thousands and thousands on a horse that could or couldn't turn out to be the horse for you and you could pay 500 for horse that you can make the horse you want it to be and um i mean he's awesome and that's exactly what a 500 rescue pony who has turned into just a super fun jumper this year super cooper qualified for the usea american eventing championship which is the annual national championships where hundreds of juniors adult amateurs and professionals including olympic riders travel across the nation to participate
