HOI4- Bulgaria- Romania First- Battle for The Bosporus

hello and welcome to efficient strategy gaming today we're going to be playing hearts of iron 4 bulgaria on elite iron man mode with historical ai this is post battle for the bosphorus dlc so let's get into it here as you can see here i'm ready for a war against romania pillbox 20 tells me that on regular mode you can actually attack into greece and romania will come into the war and you can have a war on two fronts and it is possible to win that war on regular mode but since we're in elite mode we're going to be going for this strategy the reason why i have not attacked earlier is because of the allied air power as you can see here the independence of romania is guaranteed by france so when we attack the allies will come in to support romania i i'm timing this as the germans start to invade france so hopefully all the allied air power is not over romania but we'll see how that goes uh we have gotten a lot of equipment from germany using the events and decisions purchase foreign equipment down here so we're going to be doing that and we will integrate imro militias when that is available i've chosen to come down here through all the air focus trees because we're going to get one civilian factory in three military factories if we go down this way and our production looks like this i still need to produce more military equipment that's why we're gonna go for those military factories and we should probably get uh stan chef here for army offense and of course we've got the infantry artillery expert and the cavalry genius okay so let's go ahead make sure that our air is up we're gonna have to keep an eye on our oil let's also get more ground cruise and uh let's declare war against romania so france will come in and let's see if romania attacks into us here so hopefully this stays green okay so they're not gonna attack into us so let's go ahead and attack into them okay let's make sure we are on aggressive and germany wants us to join faction uh romania's not connected to germany but if they bring hungary into it they might be i would like to get hungry next if that's an option but we'll see what's going on here so we could start justifying soon here let's get the attack going of course our division templates are the kona division the cavalry i added two motorized artillery regiments there and then we have the seven two artillery with the support artillery and the standard division because we keep our xp on those base divisions those base infantry divisions okay let's see how this goes i'm expecting a lot more romanian divisions to show up here okay allied air power hasn't shown up we need to micro this okay so that was quite powerful probably get rid of that the battle plan is no longer going to help us and let's see if we can control be them sure enough we can so if we get get in a circleman on these two guys here that would be awesome let's wait till these artillery get in place maybe i'll start attacking over here don't let that division recover okay regimental combat teams and we'll go ahead down for mechanized offensive tanks and armor variants 10 it's not really going to help us too much but we do get a bonus to that research and there are some goodies down below in the doctrine let's go like this and see if we can't get around an encirclement over here let's take that air base allied air power has not shown up yet and that's why we're being successful so far okay now the allied air power will show up and the one thing about this that i like is we're not connected to any allied countries there so they can't really attack into us too easily okay we'll get another mini encirclement here hopefully okay those divisions melted perfectly let's go for their next airbase because that's going to be the key when that allied air power shows up we're really going to be hurting okay these guys should rush up to galati control b everyone so they go even quicker okay so for this guy let's get him up to here and let's control b him there and then we'll shift to there shift right click and this guy doesn't need to go in that direction anymore let's just get our spearhead over the river here so it wasn't quick enough there okay so he's gonna go and defend bucharest let's see if we can't beat him there okay so so far this is going well allied air power has not caught up to us yet let's get our air power more in the middle and let's start justifying a war goal against hungary not sure if we're gonna be able to pull this off or not okay we're about to get more military vehicles uh non-aggression packed with slovakia is fine as i said before i don't want to be in the axis yet okay those guys are going into there let's move around this guy right here excellent so we got a two division encirclement let's keep going with artillery upgrade my viewers are telling me that um rocket artillery is the way to go i think they're right let's dissolve this pocket as quickly as possible well there's more divisions there's the other divisions i was worried about okay so they're reforming a line okay we just ate right there see if we can't go for the big daddy encirclement here we don't really have a way of dealing with their tanks yet okay this guy's coming off the line to take that little province there they did jump in front of me here let's wait till this guy gets out of the way and then control b him up to there and then we'll start moving through the encirclements are so important because of the attrition that you're gonna get when you make encirclements the enemy receives huge um negatives to their step their stats when you make encirclements um they demand military access can they get to me i'm gonna reject it for now see how we do on our own okay ran into that division again see if we can just cut around and if we can get the encirclement down here the the big daddy encirclement will be good to go just keep on moving our divisions up here maybe rush their capital i'm pretty sure the capital is gonna move again and we're gonna have to take it three times typically that's the case okay allied air power is slamming in here that's why we might not have as much push we just got an overrun up there that's excellent we really have a lot of offensive power here this is going really well see how fast this cavalry division can get around here okay i'm really more concerned about destroying their military than anything else and romania just lost uh bes arabia which is actually good for us that's that's fine five divisions over there okay let's get him up here looks like we had actually conquered part of that territory it's okay we'll get it back with the barbarossa hopefully let's get this guy around so now we don't have to worry about the soviets really attacking into us as much because they have bez arabia they have what they want so hopefully they'll leave us alone attack right here we're able to nip this off that would be the best thing then we could get a six encirclement something like that yep six division encirclement would be amazing just keep moving around if we're having problems here of course this tends to happen there we go we're pushing him back and they're escaping this the pocket that i've created keep going boys we still have this cavalry division let's get them going okay there we go there we go we got the encirclement and more romanian divisions are popping up here let's get this guy maybe encircling this guy this mountain division doesn't look like they're gonna allow me to do that let's dissolve the pocket before we move on and make sure that they're not able to get out of that pocket it's gonna be the most important thing okay so we got the war goal against hungary keep going down here okay we got the cipher for yugoslavia so that gives me an idea so now that we're at this point and we just need that little push okay let's get the germany and artillery equipment let's get the artillery guns we're going to need those so we have the cipher decrypted for romania so let's go ahead and do that and then let's start on hungary although it looks like it's going to be a bit delayed we get our spies over in hungary and uh if you get the spy network up that will help out your your military actually your battle plans will function better if you get the spy network out this is looking dangerous and we are able to defeat the tanks here because of the encirclement we do have that intel advantage so important so okay so we got eight divisions in here let's make sure we're dissolving them got some overruns there okay and these are just just in this air territory here that's why we're not winning anywhere else fix that in a minute okay got the improved artillery see if we have any other upgrades here we'll start going down dive bombing doctrine because we will get that cast eventually okay and then we ate the divisions that were encircled there let's go to cluj and they'll probably the capital go one other area so let's get this going in this area [Music] okay they're ready to go so they are getting some push here let's uh see if we can't divide this air group actually we have some more fighters in reserve get them up when does this war goal expire maybe i did it too soon april may 29th okay that's doable we could do that did anyone upgrade not yet oh so important i still want that upgrade notification because the whole battle outcome can be decided if you are able to upgrade your commanders quick enough i guess it would be wise to start on some construction we can get a research bonus over there so we can get a research bonus to cast it's in the focus tree and although i was able to encircle many of their divisions it looks like we're still having problems here see what's going on with the rest of europe okay germany and italy are attacking france now and france is holding up that's probably good for us that's probably a good thing kind of don't want to see how my stockpile is doing here let's check it out okay we're we have a massive deficit in artillery don't upgrade the artillery yet because you're going to sacrifice your production efficiency let's get that off of there and then as soon as they can deliver this artillery to us that's gonna be the way to go for sure some of these divisions might start dissolving actually we're still making headway to cluj so we're going to continue to attack here battle plans keep spreading out you can just spear head to cluj we'll be okay i think there's actually an opening if this guy attacks over here for a second nope there is no opening not that oh wow hungary's gonna give us some equipment all the skies are green and i'm kind of feeling like let's get the occupy territory set up here what we're gonna need to do is create an mp division i don't think we're gonna have enough of manpower to staff it that'll be fine so let's change that to our default and then we're going to go for martial law it's going to be our occupation looks like we do have enough guns oh that put us in deficit for guns and i actually could distribute it doesn't look like we're going to go up against much armor so i could distribute the anti-aircraft guns but i'm not going to do that let's do a royal visit to pleven and boost our stability hungary joins the axis okay so our goal against hungary is not going to work out for us all right got that stability and it looks like the romanian capital has moved over to galati and we own golotti we have treaty of croydova we have not forgotten how on how romania stabbed us in the back in 1913 and cowardly took southern de bruja while our armies were occupied elsewhere hungry has used their her friendship with germany to gain revenge on romania is it our time now we will have our revenge italy has called hungary as our ally in the italian malaysian war okay so romania collapses after that oh we do get a lot of trucks and other equipment here 165 artillery and it looks like they gave transylvania to run hungary germany did let's go ahead and take a look at the resistance here and i guess i'll pull my operatives back here and have them root out resistance in some of these areas and we could ask to join faction at this point we do have a war goal okay retake core state it's going to take us 20 days so we are able to go up against yugoslavia here so now i wish i hadn't done this war goal give him infantry experts so he's going to be really good now and then he's probably not going to have any other upgrades so we'll put him on the line and hopefully the allies don't make a landing here as i'm trying to attack have them go there and cut off should be macedonia which should be one of our cores so we'll be lining up to attack yugoslavia next and um just let 24 hours pass by here 48 hours okay at last romania agrees becomes owner and controller of dorbrujah so that should take out the resistance here so that's debrusia so that resistance should start going down yeah there it is and then i can use that operative okay the operative already came back because he wasn't doing any good we can actually start putting these operatives in yugoslavia and i think that's what i'm going to do since we're going to attack so soon here and so that's it that's the bulgarian romanian war there and it worked pretty well the allied air force did come in late but i don't think it was enough and uh i probably could have optimized that better we should have had more artillery earlier in the game so i should have been focusing on building artillery rather than anti-air because we still haven't used anti-air and i'll build out some more divisions in between the videos to incorporate anti-air and we'll probably just change this into an anti-air division and build it out that way but all in all i think that strategy went pretty well for elite iron man mode it's interesting here that this front is pretty gummed up so therefore if i attack yugoslavia it would be good it's interesting that france is not falling actually and it looks like italy is actually holding out too so the allies are pretty occupied i think it's time to go into yugoslavia and
