love that we I love the way we've started people hungry leaning in and God responding there's no doubt there's a tangible sense of the presence of God here and I know if you're if you're through the link that we're believing exactly the same thing for you my name's Sam I'm one of the pastor's here and in my hand I'm holding a whole lot of prayer requests and we're gonna pray and we're gonna believe God they're people believing for for healing for restoration for breakthrough for clarity for vision and a job for visas and we're gonna we're gonna lean in and we're gonna pray we're gonna believe over every one and yeah and obviously obviously obviously we're gonna pray for our nation we desperately need rain we desperately need a turn in weather for these fires and again later on in the service we're gonna close with a pout with just really going for it and really interceding and an opportunity to to make a tangible difference but will you reach out your hand can you believe with me for every one of these prayer requests and I'm gonna believe for you so father I thank you in Jesus name but every one of these prayer requests we declare the name of Jesus over every life of every person father I lift everyone up to follow let's gather together tonight under the banner of Jesus Christ and I am comforted that father that could work that you've begun you will finish it you're going to work all things for good for those that love you and put their trust in you for father you made us more than conquerors in Christ Jesus and father we thank you for we thank you for and Lord that tonight that tonight lord I believe you'll arrest every heart Holy Spirit and I believe that you'll move in every life then not one person will leave further this meeting without knowing that you love them that you for them that you'd have a word specifically for their 20/20 over their life and father I thank you for it in Jesus name Amen amen amen so good I'm gonna ice all you guys to make your way to your seats quickly and as they do hey don't sit down just when you say hi the person next to you maybe invite them for a coffee afterwards we got food out the front as well [Music] so just as they're making the weight of this seats we got some praise reports and so I really encourage you know we we have so many prayer requests and you know the great thing about being a pastor for a long time in the same place is if you just wait around long enough you'd actually see God answer prayer and we've got some great prose reports someone here praising God for healing her nephew from cancer he's now been cancer-free for 18 months that's fantastic someone else thanking God for her family's salvation and that's all so now we're gonna believe for that we're gonna keep believing for that which is great hey um where's Paul Callaway our youth pastor summer camps summer camps if you are but maybe of just joining us and it should be your first time with us and maybe you're visiting and we're firstly we just want to give you a huge big welcome to Hillsong Church so could we put our hands together and thank those people and and we're so glad that you can join us but for us in January we we have summer camps and for art from our primary school right through and I've got to tell you what they've all they're always significant God always does amazing things and for Paul tell us about fuel and wildlife there are some changes yes they want to just fill everyone in and hello Church is they don't out there excited for summer camp in a few ways over the last couple of weeks of our youth pastors Peter and Laura talking of all have been working with our senior leadership as well as the RFS and this week we've decided that we are going to be moving our summer camp that was going to be up north into Sydney and having our summer camp for New South Wales for youth either at our Hills campus in a few weeks time the heart behind what we're doing is that we are always going to put the safety of our young people first every time and we want everyone to know that at this stage there was no immediate danger at our summer camp venue that we were going to but we wanted to make a pre-emptive decision to make sure that camp is safe for everyone and that were being sensitive to everything that is happening in New South Wales at the moment as well but this is what you need to know if you've already registered you're young people if you are already registered the difference between the old summer camp price and the new summer camp price is on its way to you in the next couple of days yep it's on its way the refund of the difference we're actually really excited because this new camp is going to be cheaper and what we're believing for is we're gonna reach more young people than we've ever reached before that's all excited about but this is the most important thing the mechanism of summer camp has changed but the goal has not so so it camps gonna look a little bit different we've got a whole bunch of amazing stuff planned but our primary goal has always been and will always be the young people are gonna encounter Jesus so young people be inviting your friends reaching people that maybe we haven't met before we're very excited it's gonna be incredible ten days away that's fantastic Paul that's awesome and also to look with that with the with the the with the reduced cost of having it here in Sydney please by all means if you you know if you want to receive that back go for it but the other thing too is if you actually want to maybe pay that forward and create opportunity for others to come there's probably also an opportunity as well to do that so we just want to put that out but I tell you what at best Paul said that the locations change but God's agenda hasn't and we're really believing that right across from our primary school kids right through to our young adults so we really are going to see an incredible move of God and people's lives transformed as they always are at our summer camps well we're going to continue our worship now with our giving and Robert Ferguson Robert Burke is going to come and encourage us so Robert thank you thank you Sam you're a good man who likes Sam there you go at least 10 people Sam so as an encouragement well we're gonna come around our giving right now as Sam said and there's lots of different ways to give perhaps the most convenient is the app which you can see on the screen so why don't we just get ready to give which is an important part of our worship an important part of our faiths and while you're getting ready can I just encourage you I genuinely believe that expectation changes experience so in life the more I expect something the more unlikely to enjoy the experience when it happens so for instance I have a dream to see a polar bear in the wild Brian told us this morning that we've got to put legs on our dream so I have named 2021 the year of the polar bear I have booked a boat to the Arctic Circle I have paid the deposit I've got an app on my phone that can't stand the days and I even have a plastic polar bear on my desk as an expectation now I can't guarantee I'm going to see a polar bear but the expectation is changing my experience but why am I telling you this because you've got a dream for your finances and for your giving but that requires us to do something so what are you doing to put legs on that dream every scripture whether it's proverbs 3 or Malachi 3 or Galatians 6 expects us to do something before God does something if we honor God he fills our bonds if we bring our tithe he opens the windows if we sow our seed he brings us harvest so what are you doing to bring a financial breakthrough to your life in 2020 amen so with that in mind why don't you get ready to sow some seed with expectation and believe that 2020 is going to be a blessed year for you amen father God I pray for these wonderful people I pray that you would bless everyone and help us to be obedient in the things that we can do believe in that you will do what you said you would do in Jesus name and everybody said amen god bless you god bless you thank you once time Bible College and really want to encourage you you know I I'm a Hillsong College alumni 1995 I graduated I found my wife when I was at Bible College I was a student she was on staff at church just just sitting the bar just setting the bar but can I say this can I say this maybe maybe you've just finished high school and you're not sure in terms of what your next step is or maybe just life has created opportunity in space and but I do want to say this so I you know Bible College for me it didn't just teach me Bible it's one of the reasons why I'm still here it helped create incredible foundation not just to still be in church but to still be in love with Jesus after all these years and it really is really does impact your life and you'll let you'll never ever come come second putting God first and so I really want to encourage you with that and to really be thinking about maybe 2020 is your year to set aside one two or three years to study God's Word which would be awesome but talking about barber College we have our very own alumni Hillsong Bible College person we all stand there I feel you're ready for the preaching of the word Scots sang us and ways come on what do we give me huge behave [Applause] [Music] how's everyone tonight anyone here love Jesus so good to be with you all big warm welcome to Hillsong barley as well that have joined us tonight a current England little Barlow friends over there love you dearly and everyone else that is viewing as well are you ready we're gonna pray for tonight come on father we just thank you for every opportunity that we have just to come around your word that you would speak to us and through us Lord God that one word could bring change one word can bring hope one word can bring an answer and father we come with that sort of faith and expectation tonight believing that you'll speak to us so give us ears that would listen and hearts that are open in Jesus name everyone said amen amen you can be seated all right I like Hebrews chapter 11 Hebrews chapter 11 talks about many great people in the Bible who did great accomplishments by faith in fact there's one passage that hones in on Moses and the life of Moses and that's what I want to look at tonight and the passage is found in the passion translation I'm reading from Hebrews chapter 11 verse 26 it says his eyes looked with Wonder someone say wonder his eyes looked with Wonder not on the immediate but on the ultimate faiths great reward his eyes looked with Wonder the subject and the title of what I want to talk about tonight is the immediate and the ultimate the immediate and the ultimate have you ever felt like that you found like life gets stuck in what is immediate for you it might be an immediate challenge an immediate circumstance an immediate problem an immediate relationship and an immediate crises or something that is immediate and what happens is what tends to be immediate in our lives tends to distract us in our lives would you agree when something happens immediately it usually distracts you or it usually consumes you or it can easily overwhelm you and when something is immediate you can begin to ask questions like where are you God why is this happening God where is God when something is immediate because when something is immediate it usually demands and retracts all of your focus under what is immediately happening what about when everything in your world seems to be immediately failing you know I mean is there anyone here and you've ever tried to cook meals in the microwave just give us a little wave you're a microwave meal eater yeah I don't know if you've ever put a meal in and the meal has exploded in the microwave come on guilty yeah it's a fail it's like I remember putting chicken Kiev in the microwave and then I just heard this like splat and all that was left was the chicken not the Kiev or what about when you're at home in one pillow on your bed is too low but two pillows are too high anyone know that feeling yeah it's like it's a fail or what about when you're home and it just seems to be no food at home there's only ingredients to make food it's a fail yeah or what about when your hand is just that little bit too big to get to the bottom of the Pringles can you just can't get to the bottom with the with the Pringles or what about this there's not enough dressing on my salad and now my salad tastes like a salad it's a terrible feeling it's a fail or what about when you go to McDonald's drive-through and they forget to put that little sweet and sour sauce in with your 20 chicken McNuggets it's a fail yeah it's like everything in my immediate world is failing hey but what about the real things the big things what about when your health is failing what about when a business is failing or a marriage is failing what about when relationships are failing or career is failing or opportunities are failing and it can feel like in that place like a desert because in the desert bible's in the deserts in the Bible's talk about places of arid and dry and barren and empty and and when it seems like everything can be failing it can feel like that desert experience well Moses was in the desert he was in the desert for 40 years in fact in Exodus chapter 13 verses 21 it says by day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way the Jewish rabbis called this cloud and an i hack Avadh it's a Hebrew word and it means the cloud of glory and NFI Haqq Avadh means that that was the cloud was what brought God's presence God's power God's protection God's favour God's provision God's guidance that's what n and i hack Avadh was and I love that the Bible says that the cloud went ahead of them because here's the thing there's people in this room tonight and whatever you're facing when you go outside these four walls tonight you're going back into a reality you're going back into a circumstance - maybe a situation or a challenge but what you need to know tonight and learn from what we're going to talk about tonight is the presence of God has already gone before you that before you even walk into that relationship into that scenario into that situation the presence of God is going before you because that's the nature of our God he goes before you in fact the Bible says in Psalm 139 verse 5 it says you have gone into my future to prepare the way do you just love that that's the God that we have he's gone into your future to prepare the way you see scientists will tell you that a cloud is made up of vapor you think about that n and i hack Avadh the cloud of glory and scientists would say that well a cloud is made up of vapor do you know what the Jewish rabbis would teach they would teach that an annoy hack Avadh was made up from the vapor that came from the mouths of the Israelites as they cried out to God in the desert that as Israel started to cry out for God in their desert situation that his presence came that his provision came his protection came his power came that was an entire hack Avadh well the Bible says in the New Testament in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen think about that faith is the substance can I tell you when you're facing what seems to be a desert situation in your life where things can seem dry or Baron or arid you need to know that when you're crying out to God asking God for help asking God for a miracle asking God for a breakthrough your faith is not empty no your faith has substance and you see just like Israel cried out to God in the desert and anna and i hack Avadh came and filled them when you begin to cry out to your God the substance of faith begins to fill that space fill that room that family when someone starts to believe substance fills your heart when someone starts to trust substance fills your soul when someone starts to believe substance fills your life because faith is the substance that brings his presence that brings his power that brings his protection into whatever circumstance you're believing God for that's what the substance of faith does in the face of your immediate your faith is in the ultimate you know a couple of months ago last year we had the worship and creative conference oh what a fantastic conference it was I mean moves of God and there was all sorts of miracles and stories that came out it I remember the midnight massive and we well here worshipping till the early hours of the morning and I remember I got back to the Edina apartments where I was staying at about 12:30 in the morning and went to bed close to like one o'clock well at 3:30 in the morning the Edina hotel alarm starts going off through the whole hotel and all you can hear is evacuate evacuate evacuate and then there was this ear piercing alarm it's like being in one of those you know those concentration camps where they turn the sound up really loud and you're listening to Miley Cyrus to torture you and it's like that's what they do it was like that it was like ear piercing like happening and and I'm like and so I can hear the alarm now I'm a big evacuator okay so the first thing I do is I jump up I get out of bed I'm ready to run cuz I'm a big evacuator but the thing is in my room I was rooming with ekor from barley our barley campus pastor acre and Eckert just rolls over in bed and he looks at me and he's like what are you doing where are you going what is going on right now it's not a very Balinese accent is it it's small like well you know you guys are work it out it's similar but but acres like what's happening and I'm like acre we got to get up and get out it's an alarm it's an evacuation and so we get our stuff together and we walk out into the corridor and and to be honest it was absolute chaos there's people running everywhere there's children screaming babies are crying and me and eka we walk over to the elevator and we stand there and we wait for the left we don't know what we're doing we're on autopilot it's 3:30 in the morning people so we get into the lift we're on the sixth floor it goes down to the third floor and the doors open and there's a girl there wearing activewear and she's there and she says quick get out of the lips get out of the elevator so been take a look at each other we're in our pajamas we're wearing boxers and a t-shirt and I don't the first thing I'm thinking is where did she get the time to put on activewear I mean look at this she got the Nike shoes she had the little leggings she had the top the hat backwards the sweat armband and on she's wearing activewear and so she's like get out of the elevator and then my second thought was yes I need to get out of the elevator with a car because I've seen movies and everyone knows in the movies you don't get into an elevator when there is an emergency because at some point the elevator will stop and you will be trapped in the elevator or at some point the cables get cut and everyone falls to their death or at some point the elevator fills up with water and we all drown or at some point a person comes through the roof with a gun in the elevator so I know I don't want to be in the elevator when there's an emergency so me and echo we get out of the elevator and then we start following activewear girl because sheets she switches as quick come follow me and so we're following activewear girl and activewear girl is running an active where girl turns where she says I've read the evacuation plan on the back of the door me and so me and eka we're following activewear girl she says quick go this way so we go this way she gets quick down the stairs here so we follow activewear girl and then we get downstairs and I'm thinking who has ever read the evacuation plan on the back of the hotel door activewear girl and so we follow activewear girl and then she says this is the evacuation point so then we come out and we're gathering with all the other people who are in their pajamas like us and then there's active we go and so then the employee comes out one of the employees mind you it's about 4 a.m. now and he comes out and he says I'm so sorry ladies and gentlemen someone on the second floor triggered the alarm it's a mistake you can all go back to your rooms now I'm a reasonable person but I'm telling you at 3:30 in the morning I want to know who that someone was I want to name people we want to name and shame we want blood on our hands it's 3:30 in the morning but I went away from that scenario and I couldn't get out of my mind activewear girl and I'm thinking who reads the back of the hotel door evacuation plan but I'll tell you this what I was amazed at is she knew what to do and she knew where to go because she'd read the plan and when it comes to your faith you need to read the plan you need to read God's plan for your life God's word for your life so when crises happens you'll know what to do you'll know where to go now the Bible says faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence you know what the evidence of your faith is it's the Word of God faith the evidence of the Word of God is your evidence even Moses in the desert had evidence to his faith it was written on tablets of stone it was the Word of God that showed him what to do how to how to live and you see the letter let's have a little bit more look at it in depth of Moses Hebrews chapter 11 if you got your Bibles Hebrews chapter 11 verse 23 it says this says faith prompted the parents of Moses at his birth to hide him for three months because they realized their child was exceptional that's a great revelation there anyone else when you were born you were exceptional Andy yeah there's a few of us here you were born and your parents just went Oh exceptional look at that I mean it was just that's what they thought this I love how the Bible describes things and they refuse to be afraid of the Kings etiquette faith enabled Moses to choose God's will for although he was raised as the son of Pharaoh's daughter he refused to make that his identity choosing instead to suffer the mistreatment of the people of God Moses preferred faith certainty above the momentary enjoyment of sins pleasures he found true wealth in suffering abuse for being anointed more than anything that the world could offer him for his eyes looked with Wonder not on the immediate but on the ultimate faiths great reward holding faiths promise Moses abandoned Egypt for he had no fear of Pharaoh's rage because he persisted in faith as if he had seen the God who is unseen I love that that's what faith does faith sees the God who is unseen see think about this story in verse 26 it says his eyes looked with Wonder not on the immediate but on the ultimate you know that word wonder it means to be astonished it means to be amazed it means to live with all oh I pray that we'd never just get familiar with God that we'd never just get complacent with God that we never just get satisfied with God but there always be a hunger for more there always be a desire for God the Creator the miracle worker God the healer there would be a wonder to your faith so I wonder what God's gonna do next I wonder how many lives will be changed I wonder how many miracles will happen I'd rather live life wandering than live life wavering when it comes to your faith you see think about this so how do we keep our eyes on the ultimate while we deal with life's immediate how do you do that well the answer is quite clear it's your faith this is what the Bible tells us is telling us how to live through the life of Moses it was a life of faith that kept you out his eyes on the ultimate while dealing with the immediate so let me give you two things that faith does and two things that faith has from the life of Moses the first one number one is faith prompted faith prompted verse 23 faith prompted the parents of Moses at birth to hide him for three months can I tell you church that's what faith does it's always prompting you faith is always prompting you to step out faith is always prompting you to take a risk faith is always prompting you to trust a little bit more faith is always prompting you to believe again to hope again faith is always prompting you towards your God because that's the nature of what faith does it's prompting you every day you ever had that little stirring on the inside that conviction that inner voice that that's like don't talk to that person don't say something go and pray for that don't do that don't believe for that what's that that's the prompting of faith faith is always prompting you it's like a staircase you see you may know intellectually that the stairs go up to the next level but unless you actually climb those stairs you'll never experience the next level because faith is not about information faith is about transformation it's about a life that is prompted to step out in fact the Hebrew word for faith is Amana Amana and it literally means to act with firmness in accordance with God's will Amana is less about knowing and more about doing to have faith is to act that's what the essence of Amana is is what you do is important than what you know that's the prompting of faith but you see too often the fear overwhelms the prompting the fear overwhelms the prompting faith is always prompting you but fear is always trying to overwhelm you see here's the thing the Bible says in verse 23 says they refuse to be afraid Moses refused to be afraid you seek as fear is always there just like faith is always there prompting you fear is always there and fear can come from a negative report fear can come from a challenge you're in an obstacle you have to face fear can come from a challenge fear can come from an unknown outcome where you're waiting you're uncertain and fear begins to rise but what you've got to understand is fear is always there just like faith is always there prompting you fear is always trying to overwhelm you it's like for me if I could put this what I'm a surfer I love to surf but understand this surfing is in the ocean I know it's profound surfing is in the ocean guess what sharks are in the ocean yeah I have so many people say oh I could never surf because of the sharks I can never say that's like me saying well I could never drive because of car accidents you know it's it's like yeah you have this fear and it's like here's the thing now I don't know surfer likes to talk about sharks while they're surfing except my children they love talking about sharks while we're surfing in fact my daughter she's 14 years old favorite movie is the shallows shock movie my son is 12 years old his favorite movie the MiG shock movie my little girl she's four years old favorite song baby shakhter dududududud baby shut that dude it's I can't win I can't win so fear is always there I just choose not to give in to it and let me tell you fear will always try and restrict you and limit you to what faith is trying to prompt you to step out in and trust God win so here there's the first one faith prompting you here's the second thing that faith does faith enables faith enables you look at verse 24 it says faith enabled Moses to choose God's will the word enable means to empower to make possible to ready you to to provide the means for you you see the Bible says faith enabled Moses Moses to choose God's will but choosing God's will for Moses meant mistreatment because the people of God were enslaved to Egypt so for Moses to choose God's will it led to mistreatment which meant that Moses he actually needed the enabling of faith to do what he was called to do see here's the thing we think that choosing God's will will be no problems that will have no challenges no concerns but choosing to live by faith does not abdicate you from mistreatment no choosing to live by faith will enable you and will empower you and give you the means to walk through mistreatment and through challenge and through opposition no matter what comes your way that's the enabling of faith you see Moses was raised of son of Pharaoh but he was born a son of God faith enabled him to live for God even though he had to go through the challenge of Pharaoh you see that's what faith does it enables you to live for the ultimate while facing the immediate you see many people know our story Katie and I you know we've got three beautiful kids Jaya Taj and Aria but maybe you don't know where we got up to other beautiful kids that are in heaven we remember Noah he was our second born Noah died at birth and I want to tell you there's nothing harder than given birth to a baby at a hospital and driving home with no baby was one of the most challenging things we've ever done and then I remember when Zach was born and I remember that whole season my wife was on bed rest leading three three three months into the hospital she's living in the hospital before she gave birth to Zach and then I remember at one point she was in bed rest on the first level of the hospital on the second level Zach was in an incubator after birth and on the third level I was on the third level getting my appendix out and I was just thinking god this is crazy you know sometimes you go through seasons and you think what's happening why is this happening what does this mean what am i doing we were in one of those seasons and then I remember Zach died and remember when Zach died I felt like I was all out of faith I honestly did I felt like you know what I was coming to church I was singing the songs but internally there was nothing there was there was nothing because rationally rationale what I had chosen to do was remove all trust and all belief in God for any expectation so I would avoid disappointment and that's what where my life was at I was out of faith but there's something about when you've put years of just putting the word of God in you and putting the word of God in you and putting the word of God in you and trusting in God in you and when you've been in good seasons you're putting the Word of God in you and you go through tough times you're still putting the word a guardian there's something about when you go through seasons where what's in you is greater than what's coming against you that's the faith that enable you to walk through those seasons to the point where I started to believe again and I started to trust again and I started to hope again and we believe for a new baby and Aria was born and I want to tell you that's the enabling of faith it enables you to walk through seasons of mistreatment seasons where you don't understand seasons where you're broken that's the enabling of faiths power in your life so faith prompts you and faith enables you and here that's two things that faith does here's two things that faith has two things that faith has the first one is faiths certainty listen to this verse 25 Moses preferred faiths certainty above the momentary enjoyment of sense pleasures you see the immediate things you've got to understand they're momentary or the Bible says they're they're temporary but you see faith is not temporary or momentary faith is certainty you see momentary enjoyment is short-lived satisfaction it's temporary fulfillment it's it's living limited it's poor perspective but but faith certainty is truth in Jesus it's it's peace in purpose its conviction of assurance can I say this I was talking with Robert and Donna a couple of months ago we're talking about the things of faith and then Madonna just said this line and just got in my spirit she said we can't cheapened faith we can't Jeep and faith can I break that down what that actually means what that looks like you see faith is not to be put in an outcome because outcomes a momentary faith is to be put in Jesus because Jesus is certainty let me explain a little bit deeper if your faith is just in an outcome like well I got faith in that promotion I got faith in that job I got faith in that healing I got faith in that opportunity oh I got faith in that deal if your faith is just in the outcome what happens if it doesn't happen that's when your faith becomes momentary but you see faith in Jesus says God I'm believing you for this but God even if it doesn't happen I'm still gonna keep trusting you I'm still kind of keep believing you I'm still gonna keep hoping in you I'm gonna still keep confessing in you because that is faiths certainty not putting faith in an outcome but putting faith in Jesus that's faith certainty so two things that faith has as faith certainty and the second thing is this faith promise faiths promise verse 27 says holding on someone say holding on holding on to faiths promise Moses abandoned Egypt he was holding on but he had to abandon he was holding on but he had to abandon if you're gonna hold on to something maybe you need to let go of something Moses was holding on to the promise but it meant he had to abandon the Egypt see Egypt in the Bible is some symbolic of the world it's it's a metaphor for will be living can I say what's your Egypt what's your Egypt that maybe you need to leave behind tonight what's your Egypt that maybe you need to abandon tonight what's your Egypt that maybe you need to cut off tonight because if you're gonna hold on to faiths promise you've got to let go of Egypt you'll let go of Egypt you see maybe Egypt for you as a habit a behavior a doubt a dependency and addiction a relationship a mindset a place your environment it's something that is holding you down when everything about God is wanting to pull you up that's what Egypt is something that's pulling you holding you down when everything about God wants to pull you up what's your Egypt tonight what's your Egypt that you need to abandon that you need to let go of I remember when we were in that season with babies and Taj and Jo was still very young Aria wasn't born and we were quite tired in that season that we were in and I remember we just needed to do something that just took the family up for some fun so what do you do you go to the Royal Easter Show anyone here you've ever been to the Royal Easter Show you get your show bags you get the rides and the carnivals and all of that fun stuff and so we went to the dairy farmers section because my kids they loved the little animals we're going in and they're looking for a little Peppa Pig they're looking at the little pigs and they like my mummy Peppa Pig and they see the little piglets and and then there's a little sheepies hello sheepy sheepy sheepy all the sheep peas and the billy goats and all of his stuff and there was cows and horses and I remember seeing this lady that she was milking a cow but she wasn't to the side of the cow she was milking it from behind the cow and she's wearing a big dry as a bone jacket and a big like sombrero hat and here she was just milking away just milking the cow so I thought I went over and I just thought to strike up some conversation and learn a bit about you know milking cows as you do it turns out she was quite passionate about milk she started telling me about how milk is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals for everyone that milks excellence for calcium in your bones and calcium in your teeth these days people underestimate milk she started telling me that there's full cream milk there's low-fat milk there's fat-free milk there's almond milk there's skim milk there's soy milk there's goat milk there's I can't believe it's not milk milk I mean she's telling me all about milk she was just passionate about milk and while she's milking the cow you got to understand what I was watching the cow manures on her and the manure rolls off her big sombrero hat and falls on the ground but what I notice is that she didn't stop milking the cow she just kept holding on to the date and she's milking the cow holding on to the teeth and then the cow manures again multiple times and I watch here she didn't flinch she just kept holding on to the date milking the cow and I'm like going this is amazing you know went away and I felt like God spoke to me and I felt like God said when life is dumping manure on you multiple times hold on to what's giving you nourishment hold on to the Word of God hold on to the promise of God hold on to your faith hold on to your hope hold on to his grace his mercy his forgiveness hold on to the promise that God puts before you [Applause] let me say this Hebrews 3 verse 4 when God spoke to Moses in the burning bush says when the Lord saw that he had gone over to avila God called to him from the bush Moses Moses and Moses said Here I am Here I am that that phrase Here I am it's a Hebrew word for the phrase it means it's her knee knee it's her knee knee Here I am that's what I mean her knee knee you know what the word her knee knee means it means God before you ask me my answer is yes that's what her knee knee means God before you ask me my answer is yes because her knee knee it's a declaration of saying to God God whatever the challenge is whatever the problem is whatever the situation is I know you're bigger I know you're stronger I know you got this so God before you even ask my head sir is yes that's what her knee knee is you see her knee knee is Moses trembling before a burning bush while being asked to free a nation panini is Abraham choosing to follow God even though he was about to sacrifice his son panini was Sampson with the donkey's jawbone about to slay 400 Philistines and easy her nene was david with a slingshot ready to take down a giant her Nene was gideon up it with 300 men up against 135,000 connealy is saying god i know the challenge that lays before me I know the situation that surrounds me but I know you've got this God you're bigger you're mightier you're stronger and my answer is yes God I will keep my eyes on the ultimate while I'm in the come on why don't you stand to your feet why don't we begin to sing this worship song let's take a moment let's put our eyes on the ultimate I want to pray for people tonight maybe God is stirring you maybe Holy Spirit is just depositing in you that that prompting of faith that enabling of faith saying come on don't lay down don't roll over but start to stand on the Word of God start to let faith begin to enable you start to trust in the certainty of Jesus again and I want to pray for people who right now you're in the middle of life dumping on you you're in the middle of challenge you're in the middle of uncertainty you're in the middle of a problem if that's you give me a wave give me a wave if that's you give me a wave I wonder if you could real quick just come down the front just slip out of your seat come I want to pray for you tonight I'm gonna pray that God's gonna move in people's lives tonight we're gonna pray for miracles tonight breakthroughs tonight that God's presence would come that his faith fills this room his substance would come that miracles would come provision would come protection would come healing would come yes you can't [Music] lift your hands lift your hands if you're down the front lift your hands right now and I want you to imagine an and i hack Avadh how the cloud went before them the cloud that brought his presence his power his provision he's protection can I tell you right now the substance of faith is going before you God is saying I've prepared a way for you I've gone into your future don't be afraid don't run don't doubt but the Lord says trust me tonight trust me tonight and so father right now we stand in faith certainty our faith is not in an outcome but God we put onto faiths promise we're holding on to work where some of you you've put away the promise you've letting go of the promise the Lord says pick it back up again start to hold on to my promise and Lord we say Pharaoh you're defeated we say Egypt you're abandoned but father we are holding on to faiths promised in the mighty name of Jesus in the mighty name of Jesus and I really believe that tonight God's gonna give people a strength he's going to give you a strength a Holy Spirit strength in fact I wonder if we can put that scripture on screen psalm 139 verse 5 look I want to read it to you you've gone into my future to prepare the way now listen to this and in your kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past I love that you go behind me to spare me from the harm of my past with your hand your love is upon my life you impart blessing to me anyone up for the blessings of God you know who the blessing is don't you the blessing is Jesus come on lift your hands father right now we thank you for your blessing pour out your blessing pour out your favor pour out your miracles pour out your healings father we thank you for Jesus he's the advocate he's the one he's one that blesses and so God have your way right now have your way right now have your way right now have your way right now and there's people here tonight and you need to find Jesus you need to give your heart to Jesus you need to surrender ownership of your life to Jesus and if you're here and maybe you've never said a prayer to ask Jesus into your life well tonight's your night friend all it is is one simple prayer and he knows your destiny he knows the future that he has for you while every head is bowed in every eyes close if that's you I want you to lift your hand up right now say yeah I want to pray that prayer I want to know Jesus I can see hands being raised all around this auditorium that's it hold them up higher so I want to know this Jesus that's it they're in Bali they're wherever you are viewing you lift your hand as well say yeah I need Jesus beautiful you can put your hands down we're gonna say a prayer together as a church let's say this prayer together dear Jesus tonight I ask you to come into my heart forgive me of sin help me to live for you to know your freedom to know your peace to know your joy in my life help me to walk with you for the rest prayer and we'd love to give you this Bible as a gift from our church so if you could do that would be great hey looking I'm gonna ask you guys you can go back and take your seats and I stay standing stay standing but if you can go back to seats because in a moment we're going to receive an offering that's going to go towards the bushfire appeal but you know one we're gonna we're gonna shift gears okay we just been listening about faith and really believe in God that and that's exactly what we're gonna do in this moment I'm gonna ask you to lead us in that new song that you wrote and you know what in a moment Roberts going to come and we're going to pray for our nation we're gonna believe God for a breakthrough in the rain the immediate may be devastating fires but the ultimate is that our God is sovereign the earth is here say men amen and we're gonna believe we're gonna believe together but first we're gonna we're gonna sing this we're not gonna just sing words but we're gonna make it Bible says Elijah was just an ordinary person we're just ordinary people but he prayed and God sent rain and the Bible specifically says God says in Zechariah chapter 10 verse 1 ask me for rain rain is a sign of blessing rain is desperately needed in this nation and we have a responsibility and an opportunity as the people of God to turn this situation around for good and so I really doesn't matter where you are maybe you're in a different country we need some prayer in this nation so why don't we raise our hands and let's really believe that God will intervene in this situation father God you see the desperate situation we are in and we use the faith that you put in our spirit to cry out to you first and foremost father we pray for those people who have gone through tragedy and trauma over these last few days and weeks we pray that you will do what only you can do and bring peace and comfort where it seems there cannot be peace and comfort we pray father that you would give courage to those people who are fighting these flowers and we pray that you'll give wisdom to the leadership but above all father we pray that you would break this drought in the name of Jesus we ask for you Father to intervene and to remove these fires and bring rain on this land in season according to your word you've said father that you promised us rain and we rise up as a people of God we believe for a turnaround whatever the meteorologists say whatever the experts say we lift this nation to you and we pray that you would bring your comfort your peace your breakthrough your rain your favor your blessing on this land in the name of Jesus come on church raise your voice expectation and [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] amen amen well why don't you be seated so where we're gonna ask that you begin to prepare our response to that really what is devastating these fires is firstly we're praying and believing God and secondly we actually want to make a real practical difference and church I have to say every time every time we've there's been some sort of you know event that has needed Church people to step up and make a difference you've always always been generous and again want to thank you so much for that and so this offering 100% of its going to go towards the rural fire services across the whole east coast down to Tasmania and also it's going to go to those families that are directly impacted by these fires and on the screen there's different ways to give I did it on the app this morning it was so easy to do so you can go to the Hillsong app and you can just choose you know bushfire appeal and you put in your amount and do that otherwise if you use one of the envelopes you can actually get on the Hillsong Foundation and because as we're doing it through the Hillsong foundation it's also tax-deductible as well or you can just give cash and or maybe you know you want to do something you might not prepared for you can actually do it as well during the week so really want to encourage you to do that so I'm going to give you a moment to prepare and then we're going to receive the giving so if you can do that begin to prepare that would be fantastic what a fantastic new song by the way I love it and Sanger once again we just can't thank you enough for what really has just been a brilliant work and Pastor Brian this morning spoke on the Holy Spirit and the dreams and the visions that come through our you're gonna be speaking again next week on the Holy Spirit out of the New Testament and it's really excited about that if there's ever been a time where the world needs to know that that God is real it's now and we need the Holy Spirit and so so we're really looking forward to that so make sure next Sunday you come expect and we're going to be believing for people to be baptized in the Holy Spirit filled with the Holy Spirit so can't wait for that Pastor Brian who is really excited about about making sure that a difference so I do pray for your blessing father on their lives and I thank you for it and that Lord that those that receive this father will make a massive difference that they would know that
