beginning of a new year set the tone they set the tone for a brand new year and all I know is if this is setting the tone for 2020 I'm looking forward to 2020 didn't anyone say that he looking forward that we sang this morning it said food about prayer changes things and it says where stood a wall now stands away where stood a wall now stands away I'm gonna pray and we ask every single person through the screens in this service this morning to unite our faith let's really believe for every single one of these prayer requests Stan's a wall will stand a way because God makes away the Holy Spirit the power of the Holy Spirit sets things in motion and makes a way where there is no way God can do the impossible God can make away where there is no way but can heal God can deliver God to provide God can do all of that so can we collectively raise our hands we collectively can we lift a spirit of faith this morning why don't you decide to pray where you started pray for each and every one of these needs it's believed for the fires to come to nothing in Jesus now let's pray for the droughts to be broken let's believe for our nation to continue to be blessed and prosper as we for the joined a gym give me a wave if you decided to read the Bible every single day and you've done it so far give me quite a few people anyone do that pastor Bryan's devotional wisdom makes a way it was a wave online did you do wisdom makes away hey good reports before pastor Sam comes and encourages us around our giving sorry praising God for his wife Jenny and they're celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary come that's worth praising God for 48 years 48 years somebody also praising God for their wife's 50th birthday and I've noticed that the husband's very wise he must have done the devotional because he didn't put his wife's name down so but my wife's celebrating the 50th but she's in the parents room serving I'm told this morning so a big happy birthday to you somebody praising God for their daughter and their son-in-law safe from the fires that threaten their property in Maru Maru Maru yeah sorry my apologies to everyone in Maru yeah sorry praising God for the leukemia is in remission come on let's were thank you God for some anything you got for a successful treatment in a healthy pregnancy somebody thank you God for family unity somebody thanking God for granting a husband a visa and somebody praising God for their healing come on one more time let's really thank God for all that he's doing into through people's lives and won't you welcome Sam tomorrow as he comes to encourage us around our giving this morning thanks Daniel celebrating 50 arcs you know who it is but I won't say fit who loves being 50 give us a wave look at all the men's hands in the air and that's fantastic hey look I want to encourage the surrounding giving it look if you're on you're visiting here or anywhere where you're joining in once you come to Hillsong Church for a little while you'll realize there's nothing you have to about Hillsong Church it really is a spirit of one too and again thank you so much for your generosity on the screens of the different ways in which people give and but I'm gonna ask it you begin to prepare that and I want to read it right the start of the year out of psalm 119 that's what it says it says I trusted your word don't ever deprive me of truth not ever your Commandments are what I depend on I wonder when it comes to the decisions you make what you depend on you know those decisions that are gonna frame your life what do you depend on you know I don't know about you but I find that I've made some decisions that at the time I thought were really good decisions they look good they felt good and in the end were bad decisions and so when I met Jesus so I decide I wasn't gonna just read the Bible but I was gonna try and do what it says and you know to be honest I found some of the things I read really hard to do you know when I read that you know God wants us to tire that's a principle for all time and that is that you take the first 10% and you give it to him and you bring it to the local church for his work reading that I didn't think that was a good decision I couldn't make a hundred percent work house are gonna make 90 percent work you know but I've been doing that for 28 years now and I can tell you first hand that over 28 years I've never come sick and putting God first and I would love to encourage us and the thing you talked about New Year's resolutions but I would love to encourage all of us that love Jesus to make a decision that we're gonna trust his word and that we're going to depend on his Commandments when it comes to deciding what decisions we're gonna make about our life amen let me pray for you father I want to say thank you so much I thank you that you are faithful you do keep your word and Lord I commit people to you that are honoring you putting you first and that they would know your promise in Jesus name Amen amen hosts if you could host us that would be great and have a look at the screens you don't want to miss what's coming up well here I am doing what many of you do thank God for you you make a huge difference I can honestly say as I look around at church your participation is critical and people come lean into a spirit of faith that makes such a difference one of the things I love about Hillsong Church is it's our culture to come on time and stay to the end I think everything leads to that moment in the end where people come to Jesus they accept them as Lord and Savior and if you lean in you don't leave early you don't walk out when we're trying to really engage with people it makes such a difference so can I encourage you and ask you why don't you decide to week and I know that they're prayed up and put a lot of effort and time into our children they're gonna benefit from summer camps get your own Mike come on Mike it's not working though there we go so this we pray for them let's be praying for the entire youth team which we'll be doing tonight in our 6:00 p.m. service praying for both the kids teams and the youth teams that are going to be basically running camps over the next week over the next two weeks just really believe for a god defining moment for each and every one of our young people and I know kids most of our kids ki kids leaders are in kids right now serving so summer care what do we need to know about summer camp poor kill away everything starts for our youth on Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at our Hills campus Tuesday Wednesday Thursday kids they leave on Wednesday and they are away Wednesday Thursday Friday and it's going to be the most unbelievable week of our lives so if a young person isn't yet registered all the time in the world and why should they because it will be the funnest week of your entire life we are taking over almost every beach in New South Wales on the Wednesday we are going to a little place called raging waters formerly known as wet and wild on the Thursday I'm just going to take that place over and in the midst of all of that we are gonna have the most unbelievable meetings in this room and we're believing that lives are gonna get changed you're gonna make your best friends at summer camp this year friends that will define your life and you'll have a lot of fun as well and what to normally take years decades decades millenniums millenniums can happen in a moment and what are we talking about there we actually really do believe it as a church every single year that sometimes young people come and there are moments that happen at summer camp and seasons that could take a long time at a young person's life and in just a moment God does something completely transforms their life gives me direction and gives them purpose kids meet Jesus at summer camp every year so we don't want you to miss out I know for my kids it's a highlight of their year is summer camps so make sure whatever you do you encourage you to get your young people to either kids camp or youth summer camps this coming week Hillsong College Hillsong college a big welcome to some of the students that are arriving for Hillsong College beginning at 2020 and you would have seen on the screen college starting up at the beginning of this year in February but what they're doing a whole lot of other new things but one of them is a payment plan for semester fees so if you're wondering about you want to get a college but you're wondering about the fee structure well maybe you can see someone in the foyer at the end of the service and just see about this new payment plan which is going to make it more achievable and more convenient for people to come to college and we're trying to remove all the impediments all the barriers from any single person wanting to study at Hillsong College so maybe at the end of the service see one of the friendly team and staff in the foyer and that'd be awesome I said tonight five o'clock and six o'clock in the epicenter here at the convention center Pastor Brian continuing speaking on the Holy Spirit power of the Holy Spirit all I know is that last weekend everything just blew up about pastor Brian's message on visions and dreams or to do with the Holy Spirit what he's doing in the lives of people say hey maybe one of your resolutions this year could be to be in church in the morning and church at night as well and help us bring a spirit of faith to what are always unbelievably life-changing services in the night so let's all be standing this morning pastor Robert Ferguson so we put our hands together and really welcomed him as he comes to share the word this morning thanks Daniel appreciate you thank you wonderful people thanks team did a brilliant job given my cloud they serve us so faithfully you can all take your seats well I have the wonderful privilege at the beginning of this year to speak to you and not just to you wonderful people here but also across the link to various places Geelong and Curran guy and Launceston and all the people on the channel and online so welcome Jesus is a starter he's an initiator a creator so I thought why not at the first Sunday that I've had the opportunity to speak to start a new series so I wrote one called very spirit and the bride about the Holy Spirit's relationship with the church and I started it last night but then it came to my attention that Jesus is also a finisher and I hadn't finished my series from 2019 yet so I'm going to do a series on the book of Acts called the spirit in the bride watch this space but I thought I'd better finish the series that I started in 2019 now if you're faithful in this church is filled with faithful people you'll know that the last one I did in this series on a Sunday morning was in October so if he weren't around let me quickly remind you what I've been doing I've been doing a series based around the four planks of Jesus's ministry found in John chapter 18 the conversation between Jesus and Pilate where Jesus talks about the four things that he repeats all the way through the Gospels he talks about his kingdom that it's different from any other Kingdom he talks about his mission to serve the world he talks about how he was going to die and what he was going to die for and he talks about his identity these four things are repeated things all the way through the Scriptures so what I thought I'd do was to look at those fourth themes and connect them to the four pillars of Christianity and I looked at a life Matthew the book of I looked at the four Gospels Matthew a life of submission we can't have all the benefits of the kingdom without submitting to the king I looked at mark a life of service we are called not to an entitlement but to a life of service and then I looked at Luke a life of sacrifice this is gonna cost us I know we don't like to hear that but Christianity is costly well today I'm gonna look at John a life of sonship I'm gonna talk about our identity and you may say well why is John to do with identity because in the book of John Jesus talks about who he is and he identifies himself in John chapter six he says I am the bread of life in John chapter eight he said I am the light of the world John 10 I'm the gates of the sheepfold I am The Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the Sheep John 11 I am the resurrection and the life John 14 I am the way the truth and the life John 15 I am the vine Jesus knew exactly who he was so the question is do we know who we are in him the book of John is gonna tell us how that can happen and why it's important amen are you ready for this all right let's pray and get right into this father God thank you for these wonderful people both here in this auditorium and everyone listening online in various countries in various cities father I pray that you will speak to each one of us and enable us today to discover who we are in you we ask it in Jesus name and everybody said amen in the late sixties I was a teenager and I was walking through our family farm in the South of England with a gun over my arm I think I was shooting rabbits or something on those lines and I'm just walking down this path and then I saw something that changed my life one of the advantages of living on a farm is that it is filled with produce that you are the beneficiary of mushrooms in the fields milk every morning meat if you want meat bread that you can make from your own wheat and then there are black bear it's just acres of blackberries and I love blackberries and as I'm walking down this path I saw a girl stealing our blackberries I know she saw me and saw me carrying the gun and she screamed and ran to find her mother who was stealing breck blackberries a bit further down the track she said he's gonna kill us well I had no intention of killing her you'd be glad to know but I was seriously ticked off that she was stealing our blackberries but this is this is why it changed my life it was like an aha moment I realized that the resources on our farm were my responsibility in other words it was a moment of maturity these weren't just BlackBerry's these were my blackberries how dare she take my black Brits it was a moment where I realized that I wasn't raised on a farm I was a farmer and I remember it as clearly as if I'm standing on this platform today can I encourage you that this could be your aha moment when you realize wait a minute I'm not just a beneficiary of the kingdom I'm a child of the king I'm a son in the kingdom I'm not just the recipient of all the good stuff I actually have a responsibility to see the kingdom advance to build a church and to glorify God I believe Jesus Christ had these aha moments when he was born into this world of course he was the word of God born in the flesh the son of God come to earth but he didn't know that that's who he was he was an infant he had to discover it and he discovered it in four ways firstly his father told him the father said you are my son then he read it in the Bible he knew everything that the Bible said about his identity then his parents told him and then the spirit within him told him four ways the same for ways that you and I discover who we are God Himself tells us you are my son not the son of God but a son of God you are my son then we read it in the scriptures then someone like me gets up and tells you you're a child of God and then the spirit within us tells us that we are a child of God you say well why is that so important because I don't believe you can fulfill your ministry on earth effectively until discover who you are in Christ in Luke chapter 3 it says this it says the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form this is Jesus and a voice came from heaven you are my son this is at his baptism after he had discovered who he was after he had come to maturity and just before he goes into his ministry at the beginning of his ministry a final confirmation you are my son and then in the next few verses it says he was thirty years old he was the son so it was thought of Joseph everyone thought he was the son of Joseph but he knew that he was a child a little living God it doesn't matter what your teachers think of you it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of you you've got to know in yourself who you are as he then was led by the spirit into the wilderness in Luke chapter 4 the Bible says that as he was led by the spirit next verse it says the enemy came and tempted him and then in verse 3 what did he say if you are the son of God as soon as his identity was realized his identity was tested I believe people in this auditorium and listening online you're gonna have an aha moment today you're gonna receive something of God and then in 2020 it's gonna be tested but you're gonna have to stand up and say no I Know Who I am God says it the Bible says it others tell me and the Spirit says it I am a child of God as you go through the book of John what you discover is that he talks about who Jesus is but who we are in him at the beginning John 1:12 yet all who did Seve him those who believed in his name he gave the rights to be the children of God now I want you to see that he doesn't say power some versions say power but actually the word is excuse you the authority - right he's given you the right to receive blackberries they're not just growing on bushes they're yours this church is a representative of the kingdom it's filled with blessings it's filled with fruit and you are have the right to access all the blessings all the fruitfulness of the kingdom of God you don't have just well I wish God would bless me you have the right to be blessed because you are a child of God if you know who you are I believe you've got to go through a journey of discovery I've talked about the four revelations but I want to talk about the five steps of this journey as revealed in the book of John and then I'm going to talk about the four benefits of what it looks like so let's just check out the steps if you go through these steps number one God honors his servants the first step is to discover you are a servant John 12 26 whoever serves me must follow me and where I am my servant also will be my father will honor the one who serves me a lot of people want all the benefits of the kingdom they want to be sons and children of God without realizing you've actually got to do what you're told in 1974 when I became a Christian I joined an organization called The Navigators briefly and they said you're a young man you are subject to temptations you're gonna have to read the Bible and learn it and then they taught me scriptures one of the scriptures they taught me was psalm 119 verse 9 how can a young man keep his way pure by guarding it according to your word I still remember it in the Revised Standard Version verse 11 I have later your word in my heart that I might not sin against you 45 years later it's still in me I discovered that if I wanted to be a child I first needed to be a son observant and I got to do what I'm told so I read the Bible I learn the Bible why because the Bible tells me that's what I have to do I had to learn to be a servant but let's just stage one some people just stay as a servant doing what God wants faithfully dutifully but there's more let's move on number two God confides in his friends look at this John 12:15 verse 14 you are my friends look this here it is again if you do what I command a lot of us we think well God's gracious cause he's gracious but he wants to be our friend but only as we do what he says but look what it goes on to say hey I no longer call you servants you've already got that because a servant doesn't know his master's business instead I've called you friends for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you so when you're a little kid growing up on a farm I say dad can I do this well why should I do that he says shut up and do what you're told why because I got to learn to be a servant but then as I become a friend he starts confiding in me who would like God to confide in you I mean trust you enough to share some of his secrets some of the things that he's doing just right calls you into his study and says would you like to know what in 2020 yes I'd like to know that well I'm gonna confide in you because I trust you but that's just step two to what he says and he honors you as a servant and then he confides with you as a friend number three is this helping anybody number three God identifies with his children John 1:12 we've readied already he gave the right to become children of God God is going to thank you when you become his children he says but this is my this is my child this is my son I'm gonna back him you're in trouble and the enemy maybe you've been you know at bullied at school or criticized in the workplace or you're facing opposition in business but God is gonna come to your aid this is my son leave him be I was talking to Tyler on Friday and he he was just newly married just I walked out with a platform he said this is my wife that was that's what he wanted I said this is my wife well I knew is his wife but it was just the way he said it this is my wife it was a sense of like I identify with this woman are you getting the idea God does that with us he banks she was ruthless is my child leave him be I love that but that's just the first the third step so we we learned to be servants we learned to be friends and then we understand that we are part of the family Jesus is our elder brother and we're part of the family of God sitting at his table with all the benefits all the blackberries and cream we get all of that but that's just the third step number four God gives freedom to his sons look at this John 833 it says they answered him we are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone who can you say that we should be set free Jesus replied very truly I say to you everyone who sins is a slave to sin now a slave has no permanent place in the family but our son belongs to it forever and if the son sets you free you will be free indeed there is Liberty waiting for us in 2020 liberation from bad habits liberation from things that have held us back but can I also say Liberty to make decisions I'm amazed at how many people get to get to 50 and can't make a decision to save their life we are sons in the Old Testament the priests were given authority and ability and capacity to make decisions we are priests in the kingdom of God we've got the capacity to make decisions can you see the journey as a servant he just says do what you're told I'm not going to explain it but as we grow up we become a friend we become a child and now we become a son we're expected to make choices especially in relationships I get ticked off with the young people I actually grabbed some of the other day the other day being about 20 years ago grabbed them by their shoulders because this guy was just going out with this girl for years and years and years and said he loved her said he said he wanted America but wouldn't make a decision so one day I trust he was good friend I grabbed him by the shoulders and I can't tell him what to do but I basically said hey listen do you love her yes do you want to marry her yes well marry are there it's a conversational on those lines make a choice so many of us we get we get to the end of our line from where we're still wondering is it the will of God for me to do this hey you're a son actual like a son these are your BlackBerry's look after them well someone else is gonna do it no grow up you do it are you getting the idea and we haven't finished yet number five God trusts his heirs Jesus is obviously the heir of God John 3:30 for the one whom God has sent I mean he's God but he's described as an heir the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God for God gives the spirit without limit for the Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands he's given him the responsibility to rule their responsibility to judge are you with me he's put things in his hands he said well as Jesus what about us hey we're also heirs Romans I'm not going to read it all first chapter 8 it says verse 17 now if we are children we are heirs heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ we if we're going to be legacy levers if we're gonna make a mark on this world we've got to grow up discover who we are obey as servants receive God's confidence as friends understand what it is to identify with God as his children take responsibility for decision making and Sons and then make a mark on this world last week Brian got up and he said this is a significant decade because by the end of the decade I'm going to be 75 and I thought wow that's old and then I realized I'm the same age so I'm this is a big decade I'm gonna be 75 by the end of the decade Wow I don't want to just drift into my future I don't want to go out of this world with a whimper I wanna make a mark I want to make a difference I want to leave a legacy and he has given me the responsibility as an heir and you as a responsibility to do something they're not just mushrooms in a field they're yours they're not just blackberries on a bush they're yours these are your cattle these are your wheat fields this is your milk what are you going to do with it you get in the idea so think of it God owns the cattle on a Thousand Hills and he's handed it to his church and he says what are you gonna do are we gonna just stay bad cause servants we're just doing what you're told are we gonna grow up and become sons alright four things that that means is this helping anybody alright John chapter 5 verse 19 I would suggest this is one of my key texts in ministry Jesus gave them this answer very truly I tell you the son can do nothing by himself just stop there for a minute his Jesus saying I can't do anything without the father can I suggest don't try and run your business without God don't try and run your marriage without God Jesus said I can't do anything without God surely that means we can't either and yet how many turns too we drift into a new year we haven't prayed about it we haven't thought about it we haven't envisioned it we haven't read our Bible we just will give it a go hey there is freedom and then there is freedom I am free to act as an heir and a son because I've learned the lessons of doing what I'm told are you with me God can trust me to make the right choices so here he is going back to John 15 hey he can only do what he sees his father doing because what the father does the son also does think about that every morning Jesus would have asked his father so what are you doing today or more to the point what are we doing today and his father would have said today we're gonna raise the dead excellent let's do that everything Jesus did he saw his father do first so when I come into a meeting like this what I often do is say to God so what are you doing in the meeting what are you doing today because I want to be involved in what you do why don't you go into your business if you have a business this week and as you walk in through the door just say to God so what do you what are you doing so what do you do what are you were you gonna take our marriage this year what dreams are going to be fulfilled this year God wants to confide in you he wants to tell you stuff and then it keeps going for the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does yes and he will show him even greater works than these so that you will be amazed for just as the father raises the dead and gives them life even so the son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it all right so we are sons we're joint heirs with Christ we are sons and daughters of the Living God adopted into sonship what does that mean four things number one sons owned their father's purpose sons owned their father's purpose John chapter 2 and verse 16 says that Jesus built God's house he said stop turning my father's house into a market place zeal for your house will consume me I don't know about you but I'm not actually that interested in business if you're a business owner forgive me I'm not that interested in money it I'd rather have it and not have it but the idea of investing it and checking my stocks and shares has never interested me so why on earth am i part of kingdom builders when you get together with group of business people and talk about making money for the kingdom I'm part of it because I want to build God's house and sons own their father's purpose Jesus is building his house so I'm gonna build his house it's my responsibility it's an aha moment are you with me does zeal consume you many years ago I was preaching in a bingo club I'd been asked to preach at a bingo club not a good idea everybody's there saying 66 clickety-click and and they gave me the microphone said we've invited this person to speak for two minutes so I get on say I'm only gonna be two minutes and this voice came from the back good and I said well I've been invited well you shouldn't have been and then throughout the five minutes this lady had called me rebuke me challenged me she wanted to get on with her bingo and then I finished and asked who she was and they said that's the minister's wife and I felt righteously angry a zeal for God's has I it's one of my regrets in life I wished I'd been as bold as Jesus because I would have gone to the back of the room and thrown over her table and say get out of here but I didn't but do you have a zeal for God's hats are you determined Brian is just encouraged us to come early that's a zeal for God's hats not to leave early that's a zeal for God's hats we've been encouraged to serve that's a zeal for God's hats be involved number two sons see their fathers plan see their fathers plan can you believe that God is gonna reveal to you what his will is show you stuff because that's gonna change your prayer life instead of just saying oh God may you you know do on earth what you do in heaven your will be done why don't you ask for God's will pray in tongues and then interpret we're talking about the Holy Spirit interpret your tones pray in tongues and then ask God to give you the interpretation and then you discover you're praying in accordance with the will of God and God shows you stuff I'll often do that when I'm praying for people pray for them I don't know who they are I don't know how to pray so I pray in tongues and God shows me what to pray then I start praying and they say how did you know that because God reveals things to his sons number three sons do their father's work do their father's work we've already established that but there's work to be done if there's a bit of paper on the ground I'm sure this is marking a significant spot but just tough it's my responsibility to pick it up these are my black breaths this is my house I don't walk past didn't say someone else I'm amazed at how people leave the bathrooms in our church so well it's someone else can clean it who's someone else it's your house sons own their father's purpose see their father's plan sons do their father's work and finally sons speak their father's words son speak their father's words John 1249 it says this I didn't speak on my own but the father who sent me commanded me to say all I have spoken I know his command leads to eternal life so whatever I say is just what the father has told me to say whatever I say is what the father has told me what to say I'm often prank I just put your words in my mouth show me what you're doing in this meeting I want to speak your words because your words have life but amazingly someone comes up to me at the end of a service like this and says you have no idea when you said that sentence you spoke right into my life and my life has been changed so this is the challenge are we submitting to Jesus as king are we serving like Jesus as servants in the house are we prepared to pay the price and are we acting as sons do you know who you are I said this is going to be in our harmone and I'm going to pray for an aha moment I'm going to believe that God is going to reveal who you are so we act who we are last year I had the opportunity of going to Lambeth Palace where the Archbishop of Canterbury lives and I was invited to go to a communion service where he was taking communion just a few of us and incidentally we sang one of Hillsong songs which I thought was rather cool in Lambeth Palace and he stopped in the middle of the service to introduce me because I was a visitor and he said in the middle of the service are you English or Australia so I said I am English by birth but I am Australian by choice and everybody laughed and he said well that's a problem then because this is ashes season and in the Anglican Church we don't give communion to Australians he was just joking but the reality is as soon as he spoke to me I knew who I was if I stop this service and asked you who you were would you be able to like Jesus say I'll tell you who I am because that's where we've got to be amen let's all stand has that been a help a life of sonship team's gonna come back who would like greater Revelation in 2020 you would like God to show you stuff see what he's doing in your life and on this earth here words from his mouth if that's you put your hand in there I'm believing that God is going to open your eyes and open your ears to hear his word and hear his voice and see what he's doing father God you see these wonderful faithful people not just here but in the various places around the world and across the link father God as they raise their hands in faith I believe you are going to show them things show them things in the spirit things that are going to take place things that are happening in your in their life things that you are doing things that you're planning to do give them a sensitivity to hear your voice help them to know without a shadow of a doubt and then have confidence to do what they see and to speak what they hear we ask it in the name of Jesus and everybody said amen who is struggling here with identity and you're just you you you know you're not really sure that you know who you really are in Jesus but today was just another step in that revelation let me just pray for you put your hand in the air if that's you you're struggling you you a number of you don't be embarrassed maybe you're number three on the step you know you're a servant you know you're a friend but to understand that you're an heir is a tough call put your hand in the air let me pray for you all right let's all pray together father God you see these people I pray father that you will speak to them made this service be an aha moment for each of these people may all of us understand who we are in Jesus so that we can fulfill our ministry and our destiny in Jesus name pray for these people who've acknowledged their need speak to them speak to them now in Jesus name and everybody said amen just before I hand back to Nathaniel can I just ask you a question do you have a real personal relationship with Jesus Christ what a great time at the beginning of a new year to make sure that we are right with God Jesus is real he's alive he's here he's got a plan on a purpose for our lives what we've got to do is to hand ownership of our lives over to him we've got to say Jesus I'm sorry that I've done things my own way from now on you're in charge when you do that he forgives you changes you gives you purpose if that's never happened to you let me pray for you well maybe in 2019 you've walked away drifted wasn't a good year in your relationship with Jesus and today you're thinking I need to come back well maybe you're just not sure could everybody just close your eyes for a minute you're in this auditorium or listening to me over the link and you don't know Jesus but would like to or you want to get back to him because you walked away well you want to be absolutely sure that you're right with God I want you to be courageous enough to respond people are praying but I want you when I count to three when I get to three put your hand in the air and I'm gonna pray for you and God is gonna make himself known to you are you ready one two three slip your hand up fantastic hands going up anyone else want to join them if you're not sure you're right with God put your hand in the air if you if you want to get back because you've drifted put your hand in the air you know you're not right you want Jesus to come into your life come into you put your hand in the air all right let's all pray this prayer together and especially if you just put your hand in the air say with me Oh Lord Jesus Christ oh Jesus Christ this morning thank you that you love me please do what I cannot do change me come into my life do what you said you would do I'm sorry for doing my own thing from now on I want to follow you you are my law my savings from this day with your help I will follow you thank you Jesus everything changes amen come on give these people a clap so good so good what a what a good time to become a Christian beginning of a new year we would love to help you this is a great church great family we want to do our best to support you if you just put your hand in the foyer people be holding up these Bibles they're a gift for you all you've got to do is to walk out and say I prayed that prayer even if you didn't if you didn't put your hand in the air but you prayed that prayer walk up say I prayed that prayer will give you this gift and tell you how we can help you further let's make a decision
