Australia still of the bush fires and still of the droughts so come on church let's pray with fervency father we thank you Lord that you're able to turn around the worst of situations Lord you are a miraculous working guard and Lord we believe for complete turnaround we believe for healing Lord we believe for deliverance we believe for restoration Lord we believe for favor but in that marriage right now we think about even right now you're turning things around god you're a good god and is Adam who you are you do good saikhan now act on our behalf heaven right now do what only you can do moment where we would normally turn around you take a moment you give someone the nod to give someone the high-five if you're single you get their number this would be that moment but tonight because it's the best night of our life we're not just having a moment we're having what we're calling sweet talk your neighbor moment I'll tell you why because it's the best night of our life and and we've gonna be thanking God for all he has done during this year and so many things to be thankful of but even in this Christmas season we're thinking about others we're thinking about others for a moment and we are coming around out our Christmas Keeler's Christmas kilo or kilo of Christmas and Christmas kilos right anyone ready for some Christmas kilos my goodness but hey I'm still told we are in need here at this campus we're still in need of our long life milk cereal lollies packets of chips so Church our Christmases peals is still in full swing I know next week we're doing wrap and pack want you I mean yeah hey it is definitely the Christmas season right Church and this is as we've said over and over again the best night of your life do you feel it I think you might be in the right place at the right time and if you're anything like me I love a good Christmas story and I've been reading and Matthew about the wise men when they came to visit Jesus and I wanted to reach a little bit of a message it says this it says then the star appeared again the same star that they had seen in the east and it led them on until it hovered over the place of the child they could hardly contain themselves they were in the right place and they had arrived at the right time they entered the house and they saw the child in the arms of Mary his mother and overcome they kneeled and worshiped him and then they opened their luggage and they presented him with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh she loved about that stories the wise man was searching for Jesus and when they found him it says that they were overwhelmed and overcome that they found themselves in the right place at the right time but what's most amazing is this that they did the right thing you see when they came to where Jesus was they worshiped him they got down on their knees and they worshiped kind of like what we have done at the start of the night we've worshiped Jesus and then it says after they did that they had an opportunity to respond with generosity they bought gifts and right now we're presented with the same opportunity to be generous towards the king of heaven and it's actually beautiful you know we actually this Christmas have the opportunity come face to face with Jesus Christ and to respond the same way that the Kings did and so here at the hills campus online watching on the channel or wherever you find yourself we get to say we are in the right place at the right time we have worshiped and we will come with generosity to bring out of what we had you know the wise men they made it personal the Bible says they opened their own luggage and from what they had from the wealth of their own lives they bought gifts and so tonight I wonder if you would do the same if you've encountered the love of Jesus Christ if you've worshiped him then you have the opportunity to respond with generosity so why don't you take something in your hand and let's bring gifts to the king of King who this Christmas again surprises us with his overwhelming love and generosity towards us so let me pray for you father I thank you that we are here tonight we are celebrating a goodness and your kindness to us this year we're telling testimonies the stories of what it looks like for you to be amongst us and God yet again we stop and we pause and we say thank you for everything that you've poured into our lives for Jesus Christ for the blessing of life and we freely and willingly give back to you we love you Lord and everybody said amen so while our service why don't you watch album awake came out and it has been amazing to see how those songs have been boozing at rich and they share around the world and tonight we're actually just finished the last worship night of a tool with passing credits over the stone we worship where the worst two hundred thousand people we sold people get miraculously human their bodies and many thousands give their life to Jesus so it has been a miracle tour and a miracle super grateful for our church and [Music] everyone we are young and free and we have had a great year this year the great issue ever Laura you had a baby I did have a baby and Eli also had a baby and I'm having a baby Karina got married I'm engaged I'm getting married in a month Pappas get married I've got a heck up after many many years Ben finally took a holiday and I got two dogs and Pete's been running an average of 14 kilometers every day so it's been a good year but also on the young and free front we've to it all over Europe and the USA and everyone's made apply to various different projects and we are now working on a brand new album which we're gonna record it so I'm a cat and release next year so thank you Church they're just believing in us and praying for us we love you so much it's good to have Nyjah with us [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hey everyone it's the United family we are wrapping up what has been an incredible year we've had so much fun seeing God do some incredible things and we have been to five different countries we've played in 45 different cities over 450,000 people we've been through 3227 loads of laundry and we've actually had 10,000 compassion surgeons positive it's been incredible there's countless amount of people have responded to a Salvation appeal and we've seen so many people encounter God we're so grateful for what we get to do and we're so grateful for what God has done [Applause] [Music] I am a child of God made in His image and committed to his cause in 2019 o of Christ's selfless nature to frame my life and be my god I realize God's extravagant generosity toward me and I decide to reflect his generosity and all that I did [Music] life extravagantly generous I'll be generous toward go toward my job for an awakening in your shirt an awakening in our spirits Jesus send him offering you a night something more he says whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst I know that he loves you I know that he's for you I know that he has great plans and great purposes to be alive I can see and I can sense the purposes of God the thing thud on the increase in airline revival is India because God is good he wants revival to happen in your heart believe as if it were possible because God is a I've gotta make sure I look after my heart that is not about me but it's about Terry cheeks those who needed pathway and it is and it is what but it's never never ever ever stop misbehaving in church [Music] things can be grown employment believe it's one of the greatest agents human change see God on the moon revenue [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] what if we do some church became determined to see a revival spirit and the Church of Jesus Christ today Tennessee to de feel the hovering expectation revival hasn't the Lord been kind to us I think we need to really give God a massive shout of praise for everything he's been doing come on church he's worthy he's good we got so much to look forward to hey yeah I want everyone just to stand together because right now a senior pastor pastor Bobby is gonna come and just share with us around tonight the best night of allies what you're welcome pastor Bobby [Applause] tonight yes so fun are you good a man I love that well it's my pleasure tonight to actually bring a little sermon aired everyone says sermonette a sermon that to us and how good was that I'm highlights real everyone say highlights real all the locations highlights real absolutely and it was real and I think sometimes we're the church that fits a lifetime into twelve months surely that wasn't just a 12-month window but apparently it was so father God we thank you for tonight and we thank you for the fun and hilarity and fellowship and for worshiping like there in search tomorrow and so father God we just commit the remainder of the service to you father God the exultation I'm gonna bring and then father the testimonies that we're gonna hear me our hearts be encouraged and inspired and empowered in your name Lord Jesus we love you we're your favorites amen everyone said yes and I men and hallelujah it gives someone a high five and tell them this is gonna be the best night of their lives fantastic and so again my name is Bobby for those of you who missed Peters introduction but I'm with my husband Brian we just we just love you guys so much and do you know that um highlights real was just a tiny glimpse of so many great milestones as I said and mostly in Australia those are the things that happen here in Australia and up into Indonesia of course but you know what like Peter said we have a global footprint as well and we're not even beginning to tell their stories but let me say they've been amazing stories around the world also and by the grace of God this one house many rooms is flourishing under the Grace and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and you know just a couple of things to highlight um for example London celebrated 20 years and then there's no small thing that is a milestone year for London and all the implements from Pioneer II from knocking on the doors literally and winning souls to Christ in those early days to see in an imprint across Europe that's a great testimony as many of you know Brian and I got to go and celebrate and Berlin they celebrated a 10-year mark and we can think that's amazing ten years but people we're talking about Berlin here we're talking about Europe where sometimes you talk about the Lord Jesus Christ in that context and people just look at you blankly because they have no clue so to see those testimonies I mean one that I don't think we gave expression to fully out there was literally that as a church and through the conference's as well we've literally went through the 100,000 mark of children sponsored with compassion and again that is something to praise God for because when you think of the ripple effect of that changing one life and then a family I'm in a community and in a region that is how change happens so we have much to praise God for amen so I'm as many of you know you would know that this is our second year of taking this Patek killing night and framing around the sandwich you know hasn't the lord have been kind to us and again we get to see a tiny glimpse and all of our locations in a moment and here we get to see a tiny glimpse of the great stories that are unfolding every day and so many stories suppose you think ah how can you keep track of it and we can sometimes I think that's what we're going to spend eternity doing sitting with people and having yarns under a tree a man telling great stories of serving God together and I just want to say that from the outset Brian and I are so grateful for every single one of you who call Hillsong Church home and I know you hear that echoed all the time from our mouths but it's heartfelt we are so grateful for you we are so grateful for every single one of you who serves God just so passionately who serves the vision that has been entrusted to us we're so grateful for those of you who don't just turn up with your second or third mile up your sleeve you literally come and you give wholeheartedly to this table that is our church and if you don't understand that language our church as a family and this is a table and we come here and we break bread together and fellowship together and we open the Word of God and we laugh and we sing carols at the top of our voice and do like Michael Jackson moves I'm not going to do that tonight alright I am neither Pete Todd's nor singer hallelujah and she Claire there but like it's just amazing that the things that are happening and this so this table is all about loving God and simplicity loving God and others as so many of you contribute to that in the most beautiful way and see you know Brian the boss the boss man he's on his way home finally hallelujah and you if you're in church this morning or you saw his social media you would have seen that he had the great honor of going to Washington praise the Lord he went to Washington he had an invitation hallelujah he's such a naughty boy he's so cheeking I was like Nate stop it you're giving them 24 hours to go crazy anyway he went to Washington and there was a great honor to gather at a faith of in there and he even had like the privilege he'd be posted this of literally going into the Oval Office with many others and literally laying hands and praying for the President of the United States and we should rejoice at that regardless of our political views we should because we respect the office and I think every leader around this world including our own nation regardless and is the Lord to help them because who would put their hand up to run the world seriously so we need to be praying but anyway I know he's on his way home and I know that he is believing he will he will be home and he'll be keen to see a beautiful holy spirit exclamation mark on this year and so I want to encourage you to be in church and be present and lean into everything from here to the end of the year and let us put that stamp in that seal on 2019 with grateful hearts and then by the grace of God we all take a deep breath the clock turns over and we're in a new year and not only a new year but a new decade people and I know the Lord wants to turn the page and that story for us for all of us and um you know I say this to the girls recently at the sisterhood United name I said I thought the Holy Spirit say to me and Reese recently let him say hey Bobbi I didn't call you to curl up into a ball grow old and weary and become Idol is that awesome I was like that's so beautiful but harsh Holy Spirit you know but literally that is how the Holy Spirit is because he is the umpire of our lives and sometimes he just loves us and comfort sauce and he's alongside of us and sometimes he gives us a little flick in the ear to wake us up amen and so I'm saying that to say Hillsong Church beloved Hillsong Church it's not how we begin that matters how we end and I think by the grace of God we have had had phenomenal beginning by the grace of God and we have steward at that beginning but you know what it's how we end and that's true for me and so I remind myself of that so in a moment we're gonna have beautiful stories in all of our rooms therefore I didn't seem to be going to tell stories of God's grace but I wanted to take a moment because this is my pastoral heart I wanted to take a moment and encourage you in context of kindness tonight in context of kindness because the notice court hasn't the Lord been kind to us but I want to encourage you in case you are sitting here and you are ignorant of his kindness you are clueless to his kindness you have no idea that there is a God in heaven who loves you who believes and you have no idea that there is a God in heaven who's who is full of mercy and kindness you have no idea that his nature is kindness and mercy I want to speak to your heart tonight or you might be sitting here and you're thinking oh yes actually pastor Bobby that is true you know when I really think about it the Lord has been kind to me this year because sometimes in our lives we need to jolt our own memory sometimes we can get caught up in a the mayhem over of a bad week or a bad feeling or moment and we forget that the Lord actually has been kind to us so when we look at what we've witnessed up here on the screen it is a reminder to all of us oh my lord hasn't the Lord been kind to us or everyone say or obedient or you might be sitting here and quite genuine you are like you know what I love I love that God has come through for others when you hear testimonies stories I love that God has come through for others and I rejoice in that but where's my kindness God where's my America where's my breakthrough and I want to speak to that tonight if I may and so I just want to share four things that I felt quick and immediately when I knew that I was gonna front end tonight four things that just dropped into my spirit they're literally on the screen basically kindness is personal kindness is trustworthy kindness carries no bias nor preference and kindness is eternal did you absorb that kindness the kindness of God is personal trustworthy it carries no bias no preference and it is eternal so let me just give you a couple of thoughts here number one kindness is possible as personal okay guys just look at me for one moment I need everyone to eyeball me listen to me the great I am is kind the grade I am is kind he is kind and the kindness that the great I am he said know what the question was that's who I and he said I am that I am he is the great I am there aren't even words to describe him Almighty God the kindness of the great I am the kindness that the great I am feels toward you is without limit nor condition and many of you will go Amen pastor Bobby but some of you in this room tonight or listening through the the screens you need to hear that so I want to encourage you to take heart if you are on this side of your miracle if you're on this side of your miracle take heart I want to encourage you to dig deep into the well of your own salvation if you are in Christ which means you've made him Lord as Savior of your of your life if you are in Christ then you have a well of salvation and its inherent on every single one of us to dig deep see I can't do that for you nor you for me we have to dig deep into the well of our own salvation and discover how good this God is Isaiah 59 says behold the Lord's hand is not so short that it cannot save nor his ear dull of hearing that he cannot hear you we have a God present right now who can save and who hears you and you know what it is impossible I believe it is impossible impossible for God not to lean towards you with kindness to you it is personal I believe that it is impossible to exhaust his kindness toward us and I actually believe that his I want you to hear this his personal supply of kindness for you for you personally whoever you are is intact and it will never run dry so his kindness is personal and it's personal for you and that is going to be good news for some of you secondly his kindness is trustworthy it is trust worthy okay as 62 years of age which would be me Amen I'm not afraid to say my age because some women get really sort of thinking about their age we are only know people hallelujah praise the Lord at 62 years of age I would testify to you tonight if I may that trustworthy is both an adventure and a journey that none of us are exempt from and I'll tell you why because again God is the great I am of relationship he is the great I am of personal relationship and he wants to make it personal he wants your ability our ability but your ability to be able to say my god is trustworthy he wants to make it real he wants to make it personal he wants us to know both God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit want us to know that they are trustworthy and they can be counted upon and some of you need to hear that tonight if I may you need to know that it's a father father God what does that mean Bobby father God Holy One in heaven no he wants you to know that he is a birth father for you he wants you and I to know that his son what his son did on that cross is trustworthy it is trustworthy I had a revelation a greater revelation this year the crook there is nothing basically there is nothing that the cross cannot say there is nothing so you might be sitting here tonight listening you're like no you don't know yes I do actually I do mother dove does no there is nothing there is nothing that the cross cannot fix and he wants us to know that the Holy Spirit truly is one who comes alongside and that is learned in life and you think well why is this going on in my life wires why are these challenged ways these trials that James spoke about in the scripture because the father wants you to know his nature so you know what in Jesus name no in the amplified trust literally means the leaning of the entire human personality upon God the leaning of the entire human personality on God let me read some scripture for you Psalm 37 3 and the amplified it enlarges that it says trust which literally means lean on rely on be confident in the Lord and do good and so sure you dwell in the land and listen to it feed surely on his faithfulness and truly you shall be fed how good is scripture 37 verse 5 says commit your way to the Lord roll and repair oppose each care of your load on him trust which means lean on again rely on and be confident also in him and what he shall bring it to pass what's going on in your life yeah others gonna test I might just testify tonight to you know the Lord bringing it to pass how glorious is that but what about you what just still need to come to pass in your life well you know what I'm exhorting us exhorting you to commit your way to the Lord yet again and trust in him and if you're being assailed by enemies quite literally here's one for free Psalm 37 verse 40 it says when the Lord helps them and delivers them he delivers them from the wicked and saves them why because they trust and take refuge in him Church I pray that the Word of God is coming alive in you pray that you get such a hunger in Jesus name for his word that when you open it it's like every sentence jumps out at you that's where we should be as the church goes into the twenty first twenty twenty century hallelujah amen I love it in Jesus name I think trust finds its rhythm and its cadence as we relentlessly hunger and thirst seek and search persevere and find and I want to speak to the soul of our church tonight if I may do you know 2020 where are you gonna be found are you gonna find anything in you are you gonna be found in anything you and I don't mean necessarily new opportunities or whatever although those are the police things of God I'm talking about your relationship with him where are you gonna be found in 2020 hallelujah and I'm gonna testify tonight and say to you then his mercy and his kindness is more real to me tonight because of 2019 and you would hope and expect that but I'm telling you his mercy and his kindness is more real to me because of this year which basically means that had a great year and a terrible year and his mercy and his kindness is real people and again I don't mean in context of opportunity or expansion I'm talking about personal Savior King Jesus when no one is looking and the privacy of your heart and the privacy of your bedroom and the privacy of your lounge room when no one is home I pray that as your portion because seriously church if I may hallelujah imagine if every one of us heightened in that area imagine what our church would look like going forward it would be explosive number three kindness has no bias or preference three minutes hallelujah kindness has no bias it carries no bias or preference it is basically available to everyone everyone has access to the kindness of Christ it doesn't matter who you are or what you've done this is how life works in Christ it is the kindness of Christ that leads us to repentance and then repentance opens the store that leads you then again again and again the kindness of Christ again and again and again leads you into the wonder and the presence and fullness of God and I would dare say to every one of you if I may there is not going to be a season in your life when you're not going to need to draw on the kindness of Christ there isn't so you know what it's something to to fully understand in worship this morning I had really no funny stories or humor I just had four things from the Lord for today for tonight and during worship I thought reminded of a story about the kindness of Christ and the power and the magnet magnitude and magnificence of his forgiveness so you know a few years back I found myself in Uganda northern Uganda in a region that was war-torn and in the whole context of the rebel wars up there and Joseph Kony and the abduction of literally thousands tens of thousands of children who then are brutalized and become child soldiers it's horrific so you with me so I found myself in that territory and we were in a complex a compound that was dealing with the aftermath of that reality and many captors were being either freed or finding some sort of release so they weren't like just a thousand many hundreds of people there I remember at one point someone said to me and those women under the tree over there can you see all those women and children I'm like yes they're like those are a sea of I'm Joseph Kony's wives girls had been abducted into the bush abducted etc etc made to be his wife and born children so 80 of them was sitting under a tree with their children little hard to take actually and then we found ourselves I was with Marilyn Skinner a Catholic clerk myself three white women and this you know imagine Blood Diamond Territory right so we're in this back room and someone comes in and says oh three of Kony's top generals three of us warlords his top three and in the next room would you like to go and speak to them and I'm like what like I couldn't get my head around their number one I'm not why are they there why are they there well they were there because the government had given them amnesty so we gathered our courage I was like out of my depth with people it's like I don't sort of talk everyday to terrorists anyway I'm and I'm not joking so we go in and they're standing there and they were in gnarly 3 I have to say I wish I had a photo I do have a photo but I couldn't find it ok they were gnarly ok one had no eye one had no leg one lifted up his shirt he had machete slash scars through his abdomen and what have you like I'm like and I'm so I what do you say what do you say to someone like that I mean how do you deal with that and my head I'm thinking why are they not in jail why have they not been executed these like these are murderers in the greatest sense of the word and as I stood there they were asked to to share and the first guy the first man he looked old but I think he was just aged by life he opened his mouth and this is what he said his name was Kenneth and this is what he said he said um I was abducted when I was 18 and immediately I felt the presence of God I felt the love of God because I looked at him and I was like oh my gosh father before he was a perpetrator he was a victim and I felt the immense presence of Christ's love to this man so the story that comes out of that encounter is that Kenneth gave His life to Christ not long thereafter and Kenneth found for forgiveness yet Kenneth found full forgiveness in the face of Christ for all the atrocities that he had committed he found forgiveness the capacity for forgiveness to forgive those who had perpetrated evil against him and then he found the capacity to turn and seek forgiveness from all those that he had perpetrated evil against and the backstory is that Kenneth is still going strong and is part of the solution and you know what that is that is a testimony to the abounding grace and mercy and kindness of Jesus Christ and every time church every time every time I meet someone who cannot either forgive another or cannot forgive themselves I remember Kenneth Amen and then finally number four kindness is eternal and here's the deal sweethearts of the world the world we have from here to eternity to figure life on all its wonder we have from here to eternity so I want to encourage you to stay true to your here and now stay true to it I want to encourage you to not lose sight of an eternal God who has only your well-being in mind and I want encourage us all to be faithful with what is in our hand because as we are faithful with what is in our hand it will take care of tomorrow and then tomorrow will take care of the next day and before you know it we'll get to the end of our days and we will testify together that hasn't the Lord been kind to us and his goodness is real I want to leave and these one verse with you I want to I want to say last night I was reading Luke and it literally says to whom much is given much is required right and then and the message it says great gifts mean great responsibilities greater gifts greater responsibilities and I think Hillsong Church shall then get often a chance to talk to you like this we've been gifted we've been blessed and we've been spoiled many great gifts great responsibilities greater yet greater responsibilities and so that puts a beautiful responsibility upon us but I believe the Lord knows that we're up for amen so I want to encourage in that you're in that Galatians 5 literally says but the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine at love in all its varied expressions joy that overflows peace that sub juice patience that ensures kindness and action a life full of virtue faith that prevails gentleness of heart and strength of spirit listen never set the law above these qualities for they are meant to be limitless and I believe that is the heart of God to every single one of you a limitless expression a limitless flow of God's grace and kindness and it ain't over to the fat angel sings amen so there is hope whilst there is life there is hope in Jesus name Amen in Jesus name Peter why don't you come up here and you know what all your beautiful other locations and rooms which we love you so much you're gonna go local now and tell wondrous stories and we're all gonna be jealous okay so give these guys a hand as they go local amen and I'm giving this back to Peter Tucker to tell a story and remind us of God's blessings in our life and you know Psalm 132 says forget not all his benefits Eugene Peterson puts it like this don't forget his blessings and today we're going to hear from many of us our stories through the battle through the valleys and through the mountaintops and what God has done in their life and remember this if you can do it for them he can do it for you why don't you grab your seats and come on let's thank the team right now and I think Sam tomorrow wherever you are he's out there somewhere say yes and I'm here with boogie and I was sit there next to you made and Pookie's part of or just graduated from one ATTC I think we got a bunch of 180 TC guys he graduated in September and 180 TC is all about you know restoring people and bringing back hope and you were there because of drugs and alcohol and when you were there though you had a massive encounter with Jesus and he radically changed your life and you graduated in September and so you don't have to be here anymore but you're still are so why do you keep coming and and and what are you doing now when it comes to church life well number one I think it's very important to stay connected to God community or you know I'm a part of 6:00 p.m. service the sixes they call it so I think it's very encouraging to you know get in then you know keep walking with God and and they lose the structions district don't get the strike that's right yeah that's awesome and know what's awesome is um there's who you were and then there's who you are and we're so thankful that you here and you're part of our church and you came because you had to but now you're in a position where you want to when you're giving back so we want to honor you and just thank God for everything he's doing so Gabe I think we're gonna go to Gabe now and yeah like we're right here so it's nice to see Church this is my good friend Chris creatures stand up for one second Chris Chris Bosio ladies and gentlemen Chris if you were a part of our worship and creative conference you heard some of Chris's story one of my favorite moments I love your story is almost impacting moments for me your story of kind of growing up in a in a loving Christian family and like absolutely crushing it having it all losing it all finding what really matters just give us a taste of that please yeah so as Gabe said I grew up in a Christian home God had blessed me with an amazing creative gift and so I worked as a creative director one of the biggest advertising agencies I also ran one of Melbourne 's biggest nightclubs and so being surrounded by that world I started using cocaine and other drugs and that turned into a pretty heavy addiction that became a daily habit and also seemed pretty socially acceptable which then turned into a very very heavy ice addiction I lost everything lost pretty much every relationship any good or positive influence in my life I'd pushed him away and yeah obviously my family were desperate to help me and so several years ago I also went to 180 TC here in Sydney they are awesome yeah and they do they do such great work and just had a real encounter with the love of Jesus and obviously restored my relationship with my family that I'd left in absolute ruins and they are amazing and I then went on to do Bible College here at Hillsong College and I now work full-time here at our church as a creative and get to use my gifts to glorify God and hopefully show people the love of Jesus Christ which is amazing come on man I love it love you you love what God is doing he has been so kind to you and to all of us come on can we celebrate what God has done in Chris's life and in our church pastor Donna I think you're somewhere up here without a great story hello I'm over here can you see me hi this is Danielle I'm sitting with Danielle who's one of the great ladies who's graduated the one ATTC women's program a couple months ago and is now part of the intern Leadership Program so Danielle had a really rough childhood but Daniel you had some you had probably the most devastating thing that could happen as a young mom at 21 could you tell us a little bit about that I had a beautiful baby girl named Leah and she passed away of Cortese yeah and I just spiraled down from there yep next few years was horrendous actually it I was just drinking every day child suicide didn't have any support and have God in my life didn't believe in God and I was just a very lost soul and then you had a little girl Catelynn yeah I've got a daughter she's 21 Catelynn she's 21 she unfortunately got taken away from me when she was 8 and she's back in my life now think where I'm at now so the amazing thing is somebody reached out to you at a very dark time in your life can you tell us about that one person who reached out to you I was going to church down the coast where I come from I was turning up intoxicated just going every Sunday reaching out for love reaching out for God and the pastor there put me under her wing and she introduced me to one ain't easy and ya just had my boat I went to the program it was my eighth program I didn't think I was ever going to get my life together being 45 then and I went to 180c and it just changed my life around and I came to Hillsong obviously and that just turned my life around as well I've never felt so much love and acceptance in my life before and now your dreams or what my dreams are to help other ladies going through the suffer and pain of drugs and alcohol and support them and love them and just want other ladies to know that there is hope there it doesn't matter how old you are and there is help out there I've just encouraged that yeah you're a beautiful lady get a church I'm uh I'm here with Jessica David one of our amazing youth students okay just how about we've seen revival after revival in your high school this year but how about we go back to this time last year what was happening in your life man the high school is hard no one tells you that when you stop a high school was hard I mean I grew up in a Christian home so you know I have parents that are loving and supportive of you know God and religion and church and all that but I feel like for a lot of us there comes a point where your faith has to be your own and I had just gone in a downward spiral in my life and it gotten to a point where it was so dark and so horrible and I remember being in worship one night in church as you do and I just remember this place being like I'm good and I love you and I've always loved you and I've never stopped loving you and like that was the moment when I realized that I couldn't live off what my parents believed anymore that it that it had to be mine and yeah okay yeah so about 12 months ago you get your own relation relationship revelation of Jesus and you tell me y'all AG leaders I want everyone in my school to know about this how did that at work um so the amazing Amelia Peterson yeah she's chaplaincy at a school and she's also orange tribe leader so Amelia um really she takes me out of nowhere and she's like hey Jess we want someone to you know share testimony with the school like and I was like oh yeah cool yep that's crazy and she was like we want you to do it and I was like you know prepared a little something and shared with our junior school and our senior school Chapel that was awesome and just being able to share my story and how I've come to learn who Jesus is with kids that was so curious and very interested to learn can I ask what was it that you shared just that moment you know realizing that God really does love us because I mean at our school yes where I'm looking but there's this idea of if you say the right things and if you do the right stuff God will love you and that's that's not what I grew up with that's not what a lot of people here grew up with and I just wanted to be able to share that image of God who loves you God who knows you and knows every detail about you so good I guess we are we got to wrap it up since then we've seen more girls than ever from that school and salvations every week from your school what's your plans for 2020 why do you go from here my aim is my hope is that other girls just young girls from junior school just talking to them and seeing their faces light up and get so excited about hearing Jesus and just developing that and teaching them and feeding that curiosity yeah amazing [Applause] we are a few rows back are we good hello everyone so I'm sitting with Elana she is in year 10 from Marion College and she has a pretty amazing story about getting connected into our church so Lana how long has this church being a part of your family September this year and why did you come to church for the first time I came to church the first time to support my sister who decided to become baptized so in September first time in our church who came just to support your sister but after that a lot happened in that next week what happened so I decided to join the Youth Wildlife and from there I was introduced to a lot of different people I was approached by two youth leaders and they introduced me to a Tuesday night Raj and from there I just met a lot of new people and it's just been amazing and who are these people sitting in this right here later and then the rest of my girls cool we might not go through the whole row but it's nice to see them all so the first week you come to church for the first time you come to youth on the Friday night within a week you've been in an RTG you've been in a small group all in seven days what was it about those people that made you want to connect with them it was just such an open community like they didn't care who you were where you came from like what your past was they just accepted you for who you were and it was it was just I don't know it was just very heartwarming and I'd never felt that before because I just haven't really fit in anywhere and I finally found somewhere where I can just be myself and not have to worry about what anyone thinks and yeah so cool and if there's anyone out there tonight maybe they just come on a Sunday night maybe they're not that connected what would you actually say to them as someone that has recently gotten connected into our family just go for it like if you're young join the youth go to fuel go to wildlife if you're a little bit older go to power house just do it like it's honestly the best thing that you can do to just get connected and find people who will accept you for you and if you feel like you don't fit in anywhere this is the place for you to like fit in it's it's amazing it's the best place and I think I can say on behalf of our church we are very glad that you became a part of our family this year as well so come on can we give it up for Elana one more time and I think we are going to go back down to pastor Donna somewhere down there with another story yes hi I'd love to introduce you to Chantal another beautiful young lady who has graduated from one ATTC women's program and is now in the lead intern leadership program and something that we need to realize about these programs is it's never just about the substance that's surface it's always about a much deeper pain that these amazing young women are courageous enough to deal with and Chantal is a writer she writes poetry and she loves writing so she is going to share her story and read it to you so go for it Chantal I'm just going to share a little bit of my story hi my name is Chantal I began abusing substances seven years ago my childhood wasn't an easy one I never knew my father and my mom was in a violent alcohol fueled relationship with another man I had witnessed a lot of violence towards my mom and me and my sisters I remember the cops always being at a house and days where we will visit him at jails and rehabs at 13 I found life unbearable and lonely and began to use substances to escape at 16 my relationship with my mom was extremely volatile and dysfunctional due to that undealt with trauma we both face because of this I found myself homeless I continued on down the path of self-destruction and was using many different types of dangerous drugs to try and numb the pain I was in my caseworker suggested I go to 180 for help with my addiction and to get my life back on I didn't believe in God when I arrived at 180 but part of the program is to attend Hillsong twice on Sunday and on Thursday nights it's on Thursday morning sisterhood I'm one of these days I gave my heart to the Lord and my life hasn't been the same since I had never experienced love but through knowing God and having relationship with him I am learning to understand the true meaning of love my experience at 180 has been a struggle but so worth it as I have not used drugs for thirteen months I am now interning at 180 and I'm finally looking forward to a brighter future you're getting a standing ovation over there and even though you're only 21 what is some of some of your little dreams for the future I'm hoping to go to Hillsong College offer the internship [Applause] I really would like to help young a woman in addiction just youth prevention work would be amazing yeah I believe prevention is the key to addiction yeah you're amazing well done thanks shun town come on all right back over here again same guy same place here with Asha grade seven at her performing arts high school I show what has been the highlight of your year um the highlight of my year this year I've just seen the power of God revealed to me in so many like different ways throughout the year yeah awesome you're talking about the drop the especially youth target night that left you going well what was it about that night um so I invited a friend from school she's not that Christian like she's been to toesik OneNote twice or whatever and I invited her and she came and we like got second in the competition or something and now every day she's like reading the Bible and she's trying to get close to the Jesus and I'm really God about that amazing real quick maybe speaking to where her family's at right now cuz you invited her to youth and it looks like her whole family and their friends and family friends are now connected into church how did that work out yeah they're like trying to go to church more and the past like few weeks I've been sending Bible verses each morning to her and every day when I forget to she's always like where's my Bible was yeah and then it's not just that like at the start of the year I was like going to bed one night and I just felt like Jesus hold my hand and his peace and that's another way that like Jesus has revealed to me his power and summercamp everything RDG healings throughout this year I've just noticed that I can trust him more and like his power is real and he's there for me so good asha howard's all that look I'm standing here with my good friend Joe low Joe has been married for 17 years and her and her husband have been on a journey most of that time for infertility so Joe I just thought you could share with us what's been your biggest life lesson I guess in that 17 long years the biggest lesson honestly has been that God is faithful that it wasn't that I had enough faith that I prayed the right words when I pray that I took the right meds or got the right advice or accept like medical advice but accept the advice that I got from the women I shared my story with and I just want to encourage you to share your story your painful thoughts were sad thoughts your positive and negative thoughts share them your miracle will happen eventually I hate you need people to stand with you and pray for you put in your prayer requests allow pastoral care to to call you and and journey this with you years ago I met Kylie and I shared my story and she leaned in and man she encouraged me and and here we are and here is Levi my little miracle so good 17 years of waiting and Levi is here over to you JD hey guys I'm on the floor here I should have worn my Where's Wally outfit so you could find me but um I'm here with our Nathan Nathan say hello everyone so tell us a little bit about what was a significant event for you this year my mom ran into someone at the gym and he introduced her to one ATTC and yeah just went on from there and so currently you are in the program yeah how long have you been in the 180 CD program did over three months and in this journey so far what would you say would be the biggest turnaround moment that has changed your life just walking in the doors of 180 is the hardest thing to do just accepting that you've got an issue I've got a problem with drugs and alcohol and yeah and God coming into your life with 180 oats yeah and what would you say now in your obviously in the middle of the journey but what has God spoken to you that you know that you're gonna get through this and come out the other side that it's just gonna be okay have faith in God and everything's gonna be okay amen and and when you leave what yeah let's give man [Music] and what is now your plan and dream for the future when you get out of 180 I'm hoping to do the intern program helps mother men struggle with the addictions and stuff like that so yeah amazing come on Cory give Nathan a hand I think we're gonna throw it over to Sam tomorrow thanks JD he all got Stevie with me Stevie's been coming for three years he's a powerhouse leader runs a connect group and last year you took a big step of faith and became a kingdom builder and and you're 24 so what did you do that yeah growing up when I grew up in church mom and dad were part of the kingdom builders back at their church and you know I'm heavily involved in our business I guess I really feel called to build the church financially so decide to make the step yeah and after that step not everything went your way did it tell us a little bit about that journey yes so that was towards the end of 2018 2019 kicked off and I really felt it was gonna be a a big year in business but unfortunately um a few contracts that were lined up dates kept getting pushed and changed and you know the road wasn't as straight as I thought it would be even to the point where I was Interstate one day and on day one of a contract and the whole gig got canceled had to come home so that was a very spawning but um I chose to trust God through the situation and had to make the decision to know that he's always got something bigger on the other side of your disappointment and about six or eight weeks ago I was on a lunch break at work I was just doing some daily work and someone rang me up and offered me a six-month position on a film that's just come to town and it's I started on Tuesday and the jobs better that I could ever imagined and the only way to explain it is this come from God so I'm pretty that's fantastic it's just like bobby was talking about how God is absolutely faithful well done mate and thanks for everything you do as well I think we Kylie I think I'm going back to Kylie sir yes you are I'm out here with the lovely Verna Verna he's been coming to our church for a couple of years now and she's found herself as a single mom with a beautiful ten-year-old son who is on the spectrum so could you share with us further how you came to start coming to Hillsong Church yeah I was suffer with unhealthy marriage before and then I know I'm missing something in my life I know it is I I need God but I never can go to church because my son condition and I contact my friend my friend mentioned about treasure chest and yeah so it's a treasure chest and then I found Indonesian community in here which is very helpful and then they're lovely they welcomed us as who we are as a family and in since then and they guide me to everything in the church including colors conference that was the first time I join and last year and then I met poco and si I remember he gave a word to me like I do not be afraid young lady you will be awesome and then whenever how hard your situation is just you know you're through not yeah so I stick with it and then I I receive Jesus and then since their Jesus is my number one support system yeah how good is that for treasure chest is where anybody with special needs can go along so that their parents can come to church and so it's so good that you've been able to find community sorry I'm throwing a JD hey guys how are you mate anyway so I'm here with another Nathan who is also part of 180 is that correct yeah so do you have to have the name Nathan to get in one ATTC I don't think so but if you're taking note probably don't give you so I'm tell us what has been the most significant moment for you in 2019 walking into 180 TC accepting that I had drug abuse issues and finding God the the moment I found God was the sin has no hold a new song when I heard that I just felt something go through me and like I just knew that there was someone there to help me and someone always there for me to get me through my addiction that's amazing and how long have you been in the program for Nia just under six months and in that time of God doing speaking to you what do you think now is the number one thing that keeps you going moving forward for everything he has for you I think it says so in the bar where you have to walk through the valleys to know the mountains and I've gone through some valleys so there's got to be mountains ahead amen and we believe that church do you believe that Goodnight Moon and can while we're at it can we were in the 180 section can we just congratulate champion all these guys who are walking through addiction who are overcoming every day and we believe the same testament of you guys that as you pick up God is going to be faithful and he's gonna fulfill the dreams and every single one of your heart amen amen I think next we're gonna head over to Gabe Kelly hey everybody I'm back over this side and I am here with someone who you will recognize either by face or by name I'm here with Chelsea Taylor I said I wouldn't cry chills but here we go a few months ago 18th of August you were leading worship doing what I believe God created you to do over in the 8 a.m. service and the epicenter you had a really bad headache you went to the greenroom and you thought it was just a migraine or something else but it wasn't hey tell us what happened so schecky the legend drove me to the Medical Center and the doctor sent me home saying it was just a migraine and to sleep it off but I remember sitting in my bathroom thinking ah I think I'm dying and then telling the Lord I can't die I'm 31 and single and already planned my wedding anyway it's but luckily enough my sister got back up to go to bed and my sister who is downstairs making breakfast served me collapse so called the ambulance yes praise the Lord for the ambulance people and then took me to Westmead and basically doctors mum met us at Westmead and doctors told mum that I probably wouldn't live as it was a brain aneurysm that had ruptured and mum just said I know sorry and basically started pray and then the whole church started prank thank you bless you and and then they came back and told mum look she is gonna live but she's gonna be potentially paralyzed for the rest of your life and mum again was like oh no sorry yeah and basically you guys prayed you cried out to God for me when I couldn't cry out for myself and yeah he's done a miracle there's nothing wrong with me except for a bad mother yeah we sat in this exact room every single room in our church was praying for you and praying for healing and not just praying that God would save you and you'd be paralyzed or whatever but we prayed for God to restore you to full health that he would bring you back better than you ever were you see here today a testimony to God's goodness to his kindness to his faithfulness we are so happy to have you back don't you ever do that to us again what does one thing you would say that you've learnt about who God is in this in these last few months I would say that God always has the final word and the enemy may think ah he's got a plan but if God says no nah sorry then that's it so just trust God he knows what he's doing come on church hasn't God been so kind come on church let's really thank all testimonies and stories for the courage and what God's doing in their life thank you so much for sharing your stories and listen we're gonna draw towards a conclusion when I won't don't want anyone just moving just yet but we're just gonna take time to reflect and just thank God and worship Him for who he is what he's done and what he's about to do in our life so come on Taylor and the team begin to lead us come on church let's worship together and let's thank God for his just in this moment of stillness if I can ever everyone's attention for a moment one thing we do every week is we give people an opportunity a moment ago we had reflected but now comes the time to respond respond to the good news in that what he is kind he is gracious he is merciful and I pray with what you've learned tonight is this that even though your journey could be full of valleys your journey could be full of mountaintops do you know God is there with you in every step of the way the Bible says that even when I make my debt my bed in the depths of hell you are there where can I run to without your presence he is there and no matter where you've been no matter what you've done as we've been so inspired encouraged tonight through testimony and story is that God is there with you and he can turn around the worst of the situations and he can bring it to a place of peace and understanding knowing that he is God and he is in control and as Chelsea said God has the final say over our life you see tonight is a reflection of his goodness regardless of what society says about God because maybe they've boiled it down is to to God is not good God is angry God is judgmental God is condemning God is this and God is that and maybe sometimes that has built our understanding of who he is but if you would truly understand who he is is he is good he is kind and he wants the best for you and if you would understand his peace is available tonight for each and every person I don't know how you came here to be I don't know how you came to be here tonight but maybe you came with a friend maybe you came with a family member maybe you just kind of stumbled into church and found yourself here friend you are not here by accident you are here by the divine appointment of God and he wants to meet you tonight and my question for you is this do you know him have you surrendered your life to him have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior I'm not asking you if you go to church or if you do Church things no I'm asking you have you put your trust in this person called Jesus because friend it is not about it is not about regulation it is about to do with relationship God wants relationship with each and every one of us he is that much of a good God that He gave His life for each and every one of us for the Bible says whilst we were still sinners Christ died for us I don't know about you but I knew someone was about to do me wrong or turn their back on me I wouldn't give my life for them because God is that good and His goodness outweighs and it's a matchless when it comes to our bad I pray that in this place today we to understand His grace and His mercy is greater than our mistakes God loves you friend do you know him God loves you friend have you made a decision to follow him if you haven't then I would love to lead you in a simple powerful prayer of asking him into your life can I have every head bowed every eye closed all over this place in the parenting rooms well there's a moment of stillness right now friend while believers are praying and people believing for this moment do you know Jesus if you don't what I'm going to do is we draw towards this service concluding as I'm gonna count to three when I get to three friend I want you to raise your hand high enough and long enough for me to see it maybe at one time you made this decision but you know in your heart you've walked away the good news friend is he never walked away from you maybe you've never prayed this prayer but maybe today is that day where you decide I'm gonna follow Jesus for myself and I'm gonna find out who he is for myself I'm gonna count to three when I get to three friend if that's you well every head is bowed and every eye is closed if you're saying yeah Peter lead me in this prayer you're about to pray when I get to three raise your hand you ready one friend God loves you two don't give it a day longer three all over this place raise your hands raise your hands people are raising their hands throughout the building is there anyone else yeah I can see hands many hands being raised up the top there and maybe people outside in the Foy's and the parenting rooms come on wave them high so I can see them so many hands people responding to the good news of Jesus this is absolutely amazing thank you you can put your hands down this is what we're gonna do the team are going to begin to lead us in worship and I saw hands out in all different parts of the room room but the truth is you can't see every hand maybe raise your hand just then well maybe you didn't but you know that you should have I'm gonna ask you to take one courageous bold step I want you to bring your belongings I want you to come with a friend or a family member if you didn't come with anyone just ask the person next to you hey I'm gonna go down the front and this is what I want to do only invite you to come down here and I want you to come and shake my hand because I want to congratulate you on this day you decided to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and as you do we're gonna cheer you on we're gonna applaud you safe you raise your hand oh you did it but you know that you should have come on come down the front come on team come on church [Music] who were the friends but with a friend or family member cycle keep [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] this is so so so cool come on church let's really applaud what God is doing in the lives of his people if this is so cool that you're down the front such a real moment with a real God and he loves you so much and we didn't do this to embarrass you or anything like that but you know there's something about stepping out of your comfort zone and remembering what took place in this moment we're cheering you on because many of us have done this before where we've given our life to Jesus so this is absolutely amazing this is what we're gonna do I want you to say this prayer after me and it's a prayer of an honest prayer between you and God a simple powerful prayer of asking him into your life and friend it's not too late to come and join them if that's you but come on say this prayer with you don't worry you're gonna get saved by yourselves as one big church family we're gonna say this together come on say this dear Jesus today is a new day it's a new beginning I choose you as my Lord and Savior so help me from this day on to follow you forgive me of all my wrongdoing I surrender all to you thank you for your kindness for your love for your grace and for your mercy in Jesus name Amen amen come on church many people giving their lives listen whether you came up the front we've got some teams standing with you and maybe you didn't maybe you didn't raise your hand or you didn't come down the front but you know in your heart you prayed that prayer from the bottom of your heart this is for you as well listen we have a team with you or after the service when the service concludes when you walk out someone wants to give you this Bible they want to start a conversation with you as many people are starting now and they want to bless you with this gift on behalf of our church to mark this day where you decided I needed Jesus so I'm gonna give this to this man here God's calling is on your life and big congratulations to you sir so come on church one more time what you guys can do is you guys can just step over here to the turret to my right your left and if you walk over here someone's going to just give you the Bible and bless you and so one more time churches they do that it's absolutely amazing yeah just come over here we'll give you a Bible will will gift you with that it's absolutely may oh come on church so many of them giving their lives [Applause] did you enjoy tonight what a night tonight was the best night of allies and you know what kind of a play on words and but the truth that the truth of the matter is it's the best night of our lives because you know a senior pastor always likes to say what the best is yet to come the best tap someone next to you and say the best is yet to come in Jesus name hey before you go anywhere I want to remind you of two things we're doing something really special tonight but before I let you know about what we're about to do next week is our anointing services Sunday night is our anointing services if you've never been to an anointing service come along bring friends bring the sick bring bring family members we're going to anoint people and believe for their 20/20 so you don't want to miss it Sunday night but hey listen this is what we're gonna do it's really special we're actually gonna receive Communion and we don't usually receive communion in this way but we're doing something really cool we would usually receive communion in a service like this and would have a moment but tonight being the best night of allies communion is not inside this building it's outside where we've got food and we've got things to commune and and get together as a community and you know the beautiful thing is God encourages us Jesus encourages us to do this to break bread and remember his body to to drink together and remember what he has done and so tonight church look we've got food outside and it's gifted to everyone tonight but take the time to talk with someone meet someone you've never met before get to know their story tonight communion is outside it's free food we'd love you to hang around and break bread and drink together as we remember the Lord's kindness one more time I think we need to thank God for all he has done in our lives but before you go let me pray for you and believe that this week is going to be one of those weeks for you a victorious triumphant week for you so come on why don't you stretch your hands heavenward if you feel comfortable father bless your people as they go Lord we thank you for your kindness we thank you for who you are and Lord we thank you for what you've done but we look forward to more we thank you that the best is yet to come so god go before your people cause your face to shine upon them watch over them protect them God provide for them we thank you for what you're doing in our lives in Jesus name I pray and everyone said together amen amen we need to celebrate with some songs of praise come on young people come and
