HermitCraft 7 | BEST MYSTERY BOX EVER?! | Ep 23

greetings cyberdogs and citizens of the interviews this is ren diggity dogger coming at you in another minecraft episode from the hermitcraft server we're kicking things off today my friends from the valley of tattoo red where last episode we finished off the construction of the outer design of our star wars inspired megabase that now looms menacingly over the hermit infested jungle that lies on the edge of the smoldering mustafarian landscape we call the emperor's talon now as much as i'd like to say this megabase project is complete in reality it's only just started as we've still got an incredible amount of work to do on bringing vader's fortress to life on the inside as well as making our mustafa landscape look a lot better than just a thin layer of black stone plonked down on the surface of the spire but for the first part of the episode let's head deep into the nether where i've been hard on the grind setting up the foundations for our next star wars related project an immense and utterly dark side inspired sith temple never hub that's going to link our mega base to false symmetry's incredible shopping district near the hub that sits just a short elytra flight away from our current nether portal location and let me tell you something my dudes it is gonna be awesome now ever since the 1.16 nether update a while back i've been itching to finally get into the nether and build an epic mini nether hub for the rainpier and today we're going to start making that happen the plan is pretty simple we're going to build our sith temple hub on the same level as false symmetry central hub so that we can easily fly back and forth between the shopping district and the valley attire and as you can see i've already been hard at work excavating an area for our hub here in the nether which is actually turning out to be much more difficult than i anticipated partly because our hub unfortunately sits smack bang in the middle of a soul sand valley which has the highest rate of gas spawns in the nether by the way and mostly because the design i've chosen for the hub is going to be absolutely ginormous uh just a casual 67 by 67 blocks to be exact now i've already made some pretty decent progress this week clearing away a 67 by 67 area but we've still got a mountain of netherrack to move before we can start working on our hub so yeah let's get to it buddies oh and before i forget you may have noticed that i'm proudly wearing a golden crown on my head which is looking pretty snazzy if i do say so myself that's because both false symmetry and i are now official mc championships winners i know it's hard to believe but it's absolutely true my friends falsely and i participated in mc championships nine a couple of weeks ago and we actually managed to win the whole darn thing despite being zero two down in a best of five final battle against some of the top players in the freaking world now all credit goes to our amazing teammates h-bomb 94 and fruit berries who helped to train us for the event and gave us the most incredible amount of support throughout the whole thing they were both such awesome teammates and i gotta say winning the event was probably one of the funnest things i've done in a very long time and i'm so proud and honored to have represented hermitcraft at this most prestigious of minecraft events check it out here we go yeah yeah but i'm not even closest oh you've got to let go shift paul so you got to left go let go of shift when you're pushing forward but you just did it in one what the heck man yes friend yes [Music] oh man let's go got him nice friend yes you guys breathing you're still alive yep yep you got some hair on your chest you ready for this dude i got hair in places they shouldn't be hair off to this it scares me get ready he's gonna turn at some random moment probably yeah you got me let's go missed so we're going to miss one there okay all right take your time guys if you get one call out taking fruit you're taking well no right right you are taking it i don't want to hear it i do not want to hear that you're back at the same time all right josh needs a second and he's feeling himself i'm ready whenever you run don't quick shoot just wait to see the moment wait for him to turn around and get that quick sweet quick kill on him let's try [Music] [Applause] i gotta say guys never in my wildest imagination did i ever think we'd win an mc championships but here we are champions of the ninth season with a golden crown of glory plunked firmly on our head unbelievable anyhoo back to the grind we go my friends and i've just finished clearing the terrain here in the nether to make way for our mini nether hub although i must admit it hasn't exactly been a fun task today as you can see we've had some ghast problems up in this business but after pushing through the pain we're ready to start laying down the foundations for this build we also need to make sure though that whatever we build down here is as ghast proof as possible considering they spawn like crazy in this part of the nether and luckily for us we've got a brand new block to work with in 1.16 called blackstone which is rather conveniently blast proof and cannot be destroyed by those ghastly flying monstrosities you see what i did there but it's ghastly because they're ghosts and they've uh it's the next day in real life cyber diggity dogs and progress continues on the foundations of our sith temple netherhub the blackstone floor is in looking jazzy and thankfully 100 glass proof although one thing i hadn't considered is that we still have a huge chunk of netherrite above the hub to remove basically we need to excavate another 67 by 67 chunk of the nether only this time it's from the ceiling so yeah looks like my task for the day is sorted guys it's back to the grind for me so i know we've only been in the nether for a few minutes so far in this episode my dudes but in real life i've been down here for most of the week the good news is though the netherrack ceiling is now gone and now comes the super exciting bit syncing our brand new sith temple near the portal with the valley at iran now hopefully we won't have too many issues with this as i'm hoping our new portal is close enough to the old one in the ceiling so all we need to do is break the old portal to achieve perfect portal synchronicity which is always the naive hope of most minecraft players i've just realized anyway the old portal is kaput new portal is fired up and if all goes to plan we should arrive back in the stargazers hut in tattoo rain and we failed well looks like we need to go back to the drawing board on this one my dudes and i think i might have figured out our portal problem after a few minutes of pondering our new sith temple near the portal is actually closer to stress monsters over world portal than our tattoo reign hut portal which is why we're coming out of stress monsters portal however as we can see vader's fortress is literally smack bang in between the hutt and stresses floating portal which by process of complicated pythagorean portal mathematics means if we set up a portal invaders fortress we should pop out perfectly in the sith temple portal in the nether uh or something like that anyway let's give this a go hopefully this is going to work and yes boom baby absolutely perfect we've now successfully linked up our sith temple to vader's fortress which i think is going to please the emperor greatly what a perfectly dark-sided way to start the day buddies rainsog you were selected by chickens to receive a pass-it-on box it is now on your blackstone landscape that's about the best mumbo-jumbo impression i can do and it looks like shenanigans might be a foot on the server today my dudes my friends from all over the world i cannot tell a lie i am pretty sick to death of the nether at this point oh my goodness i have spent the majority of my week grinding away at our sith nether hub build and i thought we'd take a break from all of that for a moment in the episode head over to the commercial district spend some diamonds have some retail therapy in our lives and well unfortunately it starts with some bad news i've only managed to make 26 diamonds this week from log sales not entirely sure why it's actually our slowest week ever of the herma craft server looks like the hermits are no longer in need of wood at the moment which is mildly concerning and this means we need to head over to the head office dig deep into the savings account of the bigger logs incorporated incorporation and well yeah we're gonna end up spending quite a few diamonds today hopefully this is definitely gonna help with my brain and as quickly checking on the bernie machine of course last episode we deposited 14 shulker boxes worth the leaves into bernie frisco and well there's only two teeth lit up at the moment which means we're still doing pretty well nobody else has added more leafage and i don't know do we have enough to win the entire thing maybe maybe anyway by the way guys a massive thank you to everybody who let me know about this weird scene we spotted last time this is of course a battle between the hep and the mycelium resistance we shall reclaim this land the mycelium is trying to take back the commercial district which was recently beautified by the mayor and it looks like the mycelium resistance is spreading all the way to greenspan you've got another scene going on down here look at this man the mycelium going absolutely crazy taking back the land from the hermits i suppose and you know what guys i don't know man i'm feeling like mildly mischievous at the moment um i kind of want to get involved in the mycelium affair on the commercial district and i kind of want to be on the side of the mycelium because pamela rest in pieces pamela you guys remember we had a mushroom pet all the way at the beginning of the season well i think the best that we can do for her is to try and reclaim her homeland turn it back to mycelium uh or at least try to derp just realized i didn't bring any shulker boxes for our shopping trip today guys so let's drop in to the shulker box shop and there is b double o chillin wow look at that face absolutely adorable well there's still two diamonds of pop my friends and let's get ourselves a couple of recyclable shopping bags although i don't really know what is going on inside of the shop at the moment there's jeez there's roses everywhere this is absolute chaos what is going on that's some sort of a prank as it occurred in the chess monster i mean either that or the chess monster has got some sort of tongue disease or something and should probably see a doctor asap it looks kind of serious look at the view from up here and oh my goodness look at those beautiful roads that have started to pop up at the back of the district that is looking snazzy man the mayor is starting to make some things happen out here making our shopping district way way more beautiful anyway we got more shopping to do guys next stop we are going into the giant pineapple under the sea this is igevin's sponge shop and well we're gonna need quite a few sponges because as you may have noticed at the beginning of the episode we have a ridiculous amount of water to get rid of around the emperor's fortress over in the valley of tattoo rain and sponges are going to make that very very easy for us to do so let's pick up some of these bad boys eight sponges for one diamond block you know what that's actually a bargain for me my dudes i am not the kind of person that likes to go looking for sponges in uh ocean temples i often die trying to do this so i'll take the sponges and jeven take my diamonds oh baby we shopping like nobody's business today dudes next up i'd like to stop in to the barge green's barge of course and you know i really like this shop it's one of my favorites on the server because things are always changing around here and oh my goodness look at this we got brand new mystery booster boxes available i mean uh i mean last time i bought a mystery booster box uh um i it didn't go too well actually i mean i got like some value but it wasn't the um i don't know if i want to buy another one but look at that so cute i smell shenanigans of foot my dudes look at this there's mycelium for sale in the barge and it is one stack for two diamonds and i guess this is how we get involved in the mycelium resistance right we buy some mysterium go and place it around the shopping district somewhere what the heck just happened oh my goodness the mycelium was a trap it was a trap everybody oh wait a minute what wait a minute what this is this is actually a thing welcome to the resistance we need you to continue the turf war and keep mycelium alive in the district oh i think we might have stumbled across the actual hq of the mycelium resistance but dude this is perfect this is absolutely perfect although i don't see a way out of this place how do we actually how do we get out of here oh wait is this the way out wait a minute this is this is this is not the way out of wait are we destined to be trapped down here in this fungi infested cavern forever well after about 10 minutes of derping around down here guys finally figured out how to get the heck out of here man green and his sneaky tricks yes it's the big painting of course and we just go through the face again i'm hoping this is the way out i mean i actually haven't tried to get out yet so let's have a look oh it is beautiful all right also we don't want anybody to know where the mycelium resistance hq is so let's just make sure there have been no spies no witnesses we're good we're good yes and now to find a decent spot for our first infection of mycelium oh that's absolutely perfect guys unless you are really looking you are not gonna spot that mycelium and well it is pretty close to good times with scars shops so the mayor might actually spot it but for now that's looking absolutely perfect for our first little bit of mycelium infestation a duster deleted has been done today and um it feels pretty good it feels pretty good my dudes i have to confess i was just about to go back to the nether and continue working on the sith temple hub but i just cannot help myself i i must i must buy a mystery box i must redeem myself for the last time and i've been staring very long and hard into the eyeball of this parrot and there are loads of mystery boxes available but look at this one this is a red parrot and these are green faces and there's a yellow parrot and a yellow parrot and this is the only red parrot and i'm thinking that maybe this one over here might just be the big the jackpot box that we've been wishing praying and hoping for my dudes if that's not a clue if that is not a clue my name is not ran diggity dog so you know what korean take my 55 diamonds give me the mystery box come on baby what have we got you know this is going to be the big time red dog needs a new pair of shoes my dudes let's get this thing laid down and let's have a quick look inside oh it hurts so much to open these things oh oh wait oh no it's okay i guess i mean it's not terrible i mean it's not the worst box ever right i'm pretty happy with that i feel like the red parrot was potentially a trap and i mean can we do better like i don't even know what what were the really good mystery boxes like in the previous batch of mystery boxes does it get better than this i i mean this is pretty good right i i don't know don't look at me like that gria don't look at me like that i can't spare more diamonds man geez these are the basically the last of the bigger logs incorporated profits that are evaporating into mid-air i mean dudes do we do we get one more one more last last mystery box ever okay we're not spending any more diamonds on these freaking mystery boxes making koreans so rich man okay um i don't know exactly which one to go for i i'm this one was a trap i suppose this green was also going to be a trap the birds are probably bad so it's one of these three um i i've just i have no idea i'm just gonna go for this one all right there we go there we go what did we get this is the oh no it's okay i guess and this is called wait a minute uh question question marks question marks it's um uh um hello uh hello hello what what the heck is this what is this dudes you have 24 hours to find the prize and it's just a bunch of eggage and a decapitated bird head in the middle look inside the light eating mouth well there's one person i know who could potentially solve this treasure hunt mystery my dudes yo long rain silver where you at brother yar mustachio it looks like we done got another treasure hunt to go on and this time a treasure hunt set up by the master of the birch captain green yeah mustachio or as much as i'd love to do the pirate voice for this segment muddied it actually really hurts my voice sorry mustachio d face okay so we've got 24 hours to solve this puzzle and our first clue from the mystery box is look inside the light eating mouth now there aren't too many mouths on the hermitcraft server that i can think of i guess other than the giant mouth of scars chest monster shop um yeah let's take a look in there maybe there's another clue ah dang it nothing here mustachio although this has just reminded me of another giant light eating mouth in the shopping district that of course being the other rather scary build that scar has made on top of his gardening shop yeah let's go check in there pistachio although there doesn't seem to be anything here either oh oh wait there it is that definitely looks like another clue oh wait a minute yo mustachio get down from there my dude oh what what happened to the book oh geez what kind of black plant magic is this have we failed this treasure hunt already there might be something wrong with that item frame so maybe we just need to dig deeper into the esophagus of this plant monster and yes yes indeed there is a plant stomach back here and there we go mustachio is alive and hopefully this is actually our next mystery box click because this has been derptastic so far yes yes it is nice our second clue it looks like it the hero of the night the one who sees all beneath the purple swirls in the red realm dig there and you shall find your next clue oh hello there cotton green yes scurvy barnacle yeah mustache you and i are on the hunt for your treasure yeah oh shiver me timbers mustachio come green says we be looking in the wrong place melanie so yeah my friends this second clue has got me and mustachio kinda stumped as i thought the nether portal area near green's base might be the purple swirls but the clue does mention the red realm so we should probably be looking in the nether right hero of the night yes of course i think i just cracked the clue after derping around the nether for like 15 minutes guys there is of course one hermit on the server who we can actually call the hero of the night and that is of course the gorgeous b-o who without fail always sleeps the night away and has saved us hermits countless times from phantoms and creepers and all sorts of things this season now purple swirls is obviously referring to a nether portal i'm thinking so i reckon the next clue is most likely to be somewhere near bdo's nether portal maybe now we just have to find b double o's portal which i'm assuming is somewhere in this general direction oh my goodness this nether is such a mess there's a sign over here with three question marks on it which is the same as the name of the book that we found in the light eating mouth there's also stairs here which look completely out of place so this must be it buddies is this the tunnel that is gonna lead mustachio and i to riches and glory beyond our wildest imaginations uh no no uh after traveling down this tunnel for about five minutes i think it's safe to say we've been bamboozled by that freaking triple question mark sign very sneaky captain green oh here we go this is the sign we should be following as i'm assuming it's pointing to the portal of b double up somewhere deep in the warrens of this very confusing neither yes darshi blows mustachio that's gotta be b double o's portal and it also has to be the purple swirls that the book is referring to although i don't see anything obvious right off the bat and i guess this means we need to start digging i mean this is a treasure hunt after all oh yes we did it mustachio check it out there's a shulker box under this portal which surely has to be our next clue i can taste it now we're getting closer and closer to victory by dudes this is awesome uh wait a minute cobblestone 55 diamonds for a bunch of cobblestone what the heck mustachio oh hang on that just kidding dig down two blocks oh great yes sneaky hermit you almost got me there d face okay let's dig down another two blocks and hang on is is that what i think it is mustachio oh my goodness is that what i think it is yes oh my goodness that is a block of freaking netherrite that is worth way more than 55 diamonds my friends this treasure it's absolutely amazing yo mustachio we found the treasure but dude we did it oh what will you do with the drunken mustachio
