Here's How Much A New Rivian Truck Costs With Everything, Including The Kitchen Sink...Yes, A Sink!

[Music] guys you know when somebody says oh that vehicle has everything including the kitchen sink and it's kind of a metaphorical thing well now it's literal with this brand new 2021 rivian r1t in this video i'm going to use their latest online configurator i'm going to build the most expensive version of the r1t truck i'm also going to build an r1s all electric suv and yes the kitchen sink comes with it literally for camping yes the sink so let's start out uh with it just taking a look at this truck uh launch edition uh starts at 75 000. like you see right here and it comes with this nice green color and it's going to go on sale in june of 2021 so this is the latest information we have and it has a 300 mile plus range according to rivian um we don't know exactly what kind of charge times quiet yet but in this configurator and this by the way is for early people who pre-ordered this r1t or r1s vehicles they can actually go online you should have an email if you pre-ordered one and actually configure yours exactly the way you want it with all the colors interiors and options and then actually start you know so they can start building your vehicles but i have an early look at this as well so let's look at a couple of options on r1c launch edition so it comes with what's called an adventure package which is what they call maximum capability and also the premium interior you can also choose an explorer package and you can see the interior is changing a little bit different color options and that starts at 67 500 but that's not going to be available in 2021 that's going to be available but later they say about january of 2022. so let's go back to adventure package and let's take another look so the r1t will have initially two battery options um when we did a video a news video about this recently on tfl now channel you guys asked well what about the 400 plus mile range that they promised well it's also available so the large pack and then there's a max pack so maximum battery which costs ten thousand dollars extra and that gives you the 400 mile plus total driving range so if you if you want to go really you know maximum range um and you you can pay another 10 grand for this then that's your option let's keep going and play with some color options that's always cool the launch collar is the green one that i showed you there's a few others there's la silver there's glacier white red canyon costs about fifteen hundred dollars midnight basically really blacked out dark color costs another well also fifteen hundred dollars there's riven blue which is quite nice i kind of like how this blue kind of plays with this truck and then there are a couple more i wanted to show you there's limestone four is green there's also the launch green so those are two green different green colors um el cap granite el capitan i'm assuming and compass yellow compass yellow is the most expensive color it's 2500 additional so if you don't want to spend money on colors you can get glacier white la silver launch green is included if you do want to customize your truck a little bit more i'm going to leave it with a compass yellow because compass yellow was my favorite color you know when i first was looking at these images so this is what it looks like now um there's this off-road upgrade package that says it's included otherwise it would be two thousand bucks it says outfit your truck for maximum off-roading capability with more durable equipment reinforced underbody shield dual front bumper tow hooks and air compressor on board air so right now for 87 500 that's included now let's go to the interior uh three interior options this is pretty cool check it out black mountain is what it starts at ocean coast like just brightens everything up white leather this is vegan leather by the way synthetic nice wood inlays of course the big screen digital touch screens everything is there and kind of a white headliner and then there is forest edge so forest edge looks like a forest it's got nice different color wood inlays in the dash and also on the center armrest right here nice kind of green color leather material once again synthetic and it costs two thousand dollars so i'm going to leave that because i'm trying to see how far we can push this rivian uh r1t truck as far as options and price and then finally um okay so there's a couple more things we can do uh wheels and tire packages so it's anywhere from a 20-inch all-terrain tire or actually an upgraded larger size 20 inch you can see the truck kind of rise up a little bit check it out so if you go from a 21 a little bit low profile lower profile tire to a 20 inch with a little bit more tire and this is exactly what i would like if i was buying an r1t is a little bit more capability a little bit more off-road cred and a higher ground clearance that's 3500 if you're going for the 20s with the all-terrain you can also go for 22s if you want to if you want a little bit more of a street truck you can get that as well in different orientation different colors once again lower profile tire that's between eighteen hundred dollars or once again thirty five hundred dollars but i'm gonna leave it with twenties i love the way it looks it almost looks like it has a bead lock capability although it doesn't for thirty five hundred dollars there finally if you want to explore with a kitchen it's right here it's a camp kitchen set it said the magic of outdoor cooking with all the essentials from home our camp kitchen helps you prepare complete meals wherever you are and it includes induction cooktop built-in sink four gallon water tank with a pump optional 30 piece prep and cookware set from snow peak one of their partners if you add that that's five grand yes the kitchen is five thousand dollars and it fits in that pass-through storage compartment as you can see here let me see if i can get it a little bit larger it's got fold-out tables they actually previewed this at a um an overland show what a year and a half ago maybe so they actually previewed it i guess people loved it so much that they decided to offer it as a factory option yep has a kitchen sink so final price and this is basically everything you can add on it with every option is 98 000 bucks yes so that's um the review r1t there is also r1s which is an suv so let's quickly go over it the starting price is 77 500 bucks once again adventure package or explore packages those are all available i'm going to leave it as an adventure package and that's going to be available for the launch edition of the r1s suv in august of 2021 so a little bit after the r1t and the 300 mile battery is the only one available right now so you can't get you can there's no way to choose a smaller battery or a larger battery right now so that's the only way you can configure it right now then on the exterior very similar colors basically the same from the silver to the white to the red here's how the suv looks in the red kind of from different angles um i i think it looks it's a good looking suv especially with those unique horizontal led signatures front and back i think it's kind of unique for rivian not very much like any other suv although the overall shape almost looks like a land rover to me like a discovery midnight black review and blue once again the forest green colors are available i'm gonna leave it actually not encompass yellow but in rivian blue i think the suv just kind of matches it a little bit more and once again two-tone color with a roof blacked out roof the interior is very similar to the truck as far as its design the screen and textures and and colors and the seats but this is more of a either a seven or maybe a six passenger configuration right here you can see in the middle here there's a folding center console in the back so it's two in the front then three in the center and then two more in the back so for a total of seven passengers or seven people um in the suv when in the truck there's only five maximum so let's take a look at the wheel options let's see let's go back to here 22s 21s and 20s are available i'm going to leave it with 22s this time just because a little bit unique and no additional cost as far as specifically the wheels are concerned let me double check right that's correct uh off-road package with reinforced underbody shield skid plates is there as well interior once again a couple different color options let me show you a little bit more about how the interior looks so there is the black mountain ocean coast and forest edge okay and finally the summary 82 grand for basically fully loaded r1s of course like you said like with the truck if you want other packages that are a little bit less expensive you have to wait a little bit longer in the 2022. well there you have it the r1t has a kitchen sink from the factory you heard it here first and fully loaded that r1t gets pricey at 98 000 bucks it's
