Henry Cavill talking about Warhammer 40k

uh geekiest thing uh would have to be my warhammer stuff we're doing games workshop aren't we yeah yeah yeah it's um that took me a while to kind of um confess to openly and publicly i dare i say i know exactly what you mean um a collection of white undercoat spray paint that just lurks in the back of the cupboard yeah it's like what's this uh for graffiti under arm deodorant you know it is yeah sometimes i paint cowl um certainly not warhammer no no no no that's a great answer it's hard to top it isn't it it really is um yeah i i and i love it and i've um that's the stuff i've done in as far as hobby stuff the stuff which my escapism is concerned all the reading i do outside of work is normally based around that or fantasy authors um so yeah and i've been i've been involved in the warhammer world for forty thousand years forty thousand years no well longer depending how you look at it um but uh since i was probably 10 nice yeah so a long time yeah smell of paint in the kitchen tell me that literally brings back sense memories totally agree with you now we're on netflix geeked so let's talk about what you guys personally geek out about henry let's start with you uh specifically witcher universe or just i mean just oh my goodness yeah i was like how much time do we have listen i'll stay here all day listening ruling out the witcher yeah um i mean the easy answer is um warhammer 40 000. that is my my jam um i have been into it since i was 10. what's your army at the moment uh custodies ah yeah i'm going i'm going necrons next year okay all right cool were you into it yes were you into this before or is this anything just let's just assume that anything nerdy i've been doing for a good thing oh wow we could talk for hours yeah so yeah this is that that's that's my jam and that's the stuff um i do in my free time that's amazing amazing um i'd love to see your your armies you're collecting do you paint them yourself i do yes that's so cool yeah is it that is cool but i can only really be one because once i'm one then i can't be others if it were to ever happen if there were to be anything live action i would have to be very aware of that it is obviously character rich especially the 40k universe i suppose i could play a different character from the warhammer fantasy universe versus the 40k universe but again i'm now just dreaming so i'd have to speak to the guys at games workshop and then see what happens five years you'd make a very good great horizon that i mean that would be exciting yes but then i'd burn primarks and and the captain general so i just don't i don't really know i don't really know when i do i get very involved i really get stuck into it especially when it's a good game that comes along like witcher 3 or the total war series what are you playing right now it depends it depends where i am because i'm traveling right now so online games are pretty much out of the question uh total war warhammer two that's the one which i'm on now because that's always a good jump in game i can always jump in play for a bit play for a few hours pass the time jump out again and then i can come back and nothing's changed there's something i've been dying to say sorry this is this is completely i just every day on set on this set i was grinding my teeth because there was no one who would know the reference that i'm about to give you and i mean if even if you don't get it there's some cameras here and there people at home who will get it okay do you know warhammer at all warmer forty thousand that kind of stuff that's not the greatest experience okay so that's fine that's fine there's people at home who are just gone oh yeah yeah they're leaning in now go for it that chandelier looks like a blackstone fortress and i know that no one on set would have got that and so i i have i have been biting my tongue about that so i don't sound like too much of a crazy you're in the right place at wichita to say that you found you found your people my friend yeah and uh i mean the set design of andrew lawrence is amazing i love it and uh i don't know if that was his inspiration but that thing looks like a black zone for it one of your hobbies and he's got a lot of them ladies gentlemen one of your hobbies is you paint makes me sound weird do have more hobbies than the average man i'd say but you you paint is it war of war world of warcraft uh warhammer warhammer i'm a fool uh it's warhammer okay so what you see you you paint by hand yes yeah um does everyone do that or can you buy them or we know you have to paint them but it's just how much effort you put into it there's a lot of everything there's the painting modeling side of the hobby and then there's the gaming side of the bobby okay and when you paint them what do you do with them then henry then you um put them together in little armies and you fight against someone else's army it's actually it's it is fun it sounds ridiculous but it is yeah no toys very good fun do you invite people over yeah yeah yeah okay can i come over again it sounds amazing google and today are going yeah don't ask please don't ask us
