hello everyone and welcome to my channel my name is crown and today we are going to have some more stories from reddit but before we start it would be so much appreciated if you would subscribe to the and now without further ado let's go [Music] first story invite me to your birthday or else the story takes place a few years ago around my brother's birthday growing up birthday parties for the whole family were mandatory but they were mostly used as an excuse for everyone to tell you that you weren't good enough in exchange for mediocre presence as such i stopped having birthdays the moment i moved out but my brother dutifully kept inviting the whole family until this event our parents had gotten divorced the year prior and my brother decided to have his birthday at mom's apartment i think he was turning 20 years old this meant that he could use the size of the home as an excuse not to invite our entitled uncle and his family who are particularly aggravating if they are not accommodated since our parents are on great terms dad showed up too unfortunately he had some bad news our entitled uncle a man in his late 40s had somehow found out that he wasn't invited to my brother's birthday he had then proceeded to call his mom entitled grandma to tell on my brother she then called dad and told him that if the entitled uncle wasn't invited to the party she and grandpa weren't coming either my brother really loves entitled grandma and can't bear to disappoint her so he was very torn on what to do the best option we could come up with was for my brother to call our uncle and tell him that he'd forgotten to send the invite and hope that was good enough for our grandma so that's what he did we only heard my brother's side of the conversation but mom and i were trying so hard not to laugh audibly oh hi yes i'm calling because i realized i completely forgot to send you an invitation for my birthday today can you make it oh you're busy today oh no i'm so sorry dot dot dot yes i'm obviously completely devastated guess we'll have to see each other another time then yes bye-bye he tried so hard to sound genuine it was hilarious dad wasn't as amused since it's his family members grandma still didn't want to come but she came over a few days later when it was all resolved since then my brother has been allowed to have his birthday the way he wants it we still use the phrase yes i'm obviously completely devastated as an inside joke to this day next story i want this pickup spot move it all started with a simple target order i forgot to get spinach and shaving cream during my regular weekly grocery order and target has the easiest pickup for just a couple of items so i placed my order with a few extras and happily drove to pick it up our target has a sign by the pickup spots asking people to limit one car per spot there drive through spots so technically each pickup spot takes up two regular spots i'm home during the day so it wasn't busy when i arrived to pick up my order all of the spots were open so i pulled into the one closest to the store and hit the i arrived button in my target app less than a minute after i pulled into the spot the entitled mother came driving up she surveys all of the other seven available pickup spots drives past them and chooses to attempt to pull into the spot i'm in with a sign asking guests to each use an individual spot for pickup orders for enhanced social distancing access to guests trunks and better traffic flow in clear view i was not pulled up far enough in the spot for her to fit behind me so she decided to start blasting her horn i rolled down my window pointed at the sign and continued to wait she continued with the horn for about two minutes unfortunately it was taking an abnormal amount of time for them to bring my order out i decided to attempt to stop the entitled mother's outrageousness by pulling into the next spot over instead of just pulling forward she proceeds to follow me into my new spot pulling so close to my car that i'm pretty sure she was centimeters from touching my back bumper she proceeds to start blasting the horn again while adding in rude hand gestures fortunately for me a target employee finally came out when i rolled down my window to verify my order number the entitled mother proceeded to start screaming from her car that she has a sleeping baby in the car and she needs her order first she yelled that since she was pulled up behind me and the employee couldn't access my trunk they needed to go get her order first luckily another employee came out with her order and started loading it up as she was threatening the employee helping me kept apologizing and we both quietly agreed to have her just wait to put it in my car until the entitled mother was gone to avoid her doing something stupid i'm sure the blasting horn did wonders for the sleeping baby's restful sleep next story just married mother shall come stay mother dearest is legit insane it was a bit of a ride when i got married husband is british i'm australian and we live in england hence all my loving and crazy family came from oz for the big day i'm one of four kids and my family are breeders whereas my husband's family is small and significantly less crazy they all came in dribs and drabs for our december wedding leaving the warm tropical aussie climate for -3 celsius and freak december snow key information is that my mum ran off when i was 3 because she was tired of being a mum so i was raised by the barrel chested swearing but adorable pirate that is my father mother has the emotional maturity of a toddler and genuinely believes the world and her children adore her we do not back to the wedding and the nonsense she pulled we'd organized events for the australian contingent for the two weeks before the wedding but not much for after as we were going to be newly married i don't think i need to expand because most people understand that newlyweds generally want to spend time together she arrived three whole weeks before the wedding and is annoyed that she is staying for free at my husband's parents house where my brother and his wife and daughter were also staying she wanted to stay at my house like my sister who was my maid of honor this was obviously ignored as she stresses me out so she sat in the garden of my in-law's house and pouted like a child until we left then made passive aggressive posts on facebook about being ignored and unloved after traveling so far which i pedally laughed at because not a single person commented wedding day arrived i wrote on an old account about her actions on the day before and day of our wedding namely she tried to get back with my dad who is definitely not interested and then wore pajamas to our wedding reception but it is what happened after that just kills me she'd been staying with my in-laws for three weeks she knew husband and i were going on our honeymoon the weekend after the wedding she then asked the day after we were married for the keys to our house as she was going to house sit while we were away yeah what now no you are not accessing my house when i am not there she then cries about how she booked to come to england for eight weeks because otherwise the cost of the tickets wasn't worth it again what all my other family had left the week after the wedding except my brother and wife who instead traveled to london to see friends but they were still not coming back to see me i point blank told her she wasn't coming to my house while i wasn't there did i mention i got married in december so christmas is around the corner she plays the family card about how she has never spent a christmas with me and she will stay in a hotel but just wants to be with me on the day i'm okay with that this is acceptable well done on doing a reasonable and rational thing mother but i did point out to her that the reason we didn't spend christmas together was because she chose to run off on a yut so it's on her you know what wasn't acceptable the day we got back from our honeymoon she rocked up at the house and didn't leave for two weeks just what every husband wants on their return from their honeymoon the world's most entitled and awful mother-in-law crashing their house and leaving fertility candles all over the joint while saying we are prudes because we won't talk about our intimate lives with her she joined us at my in-laws house for christmas it started fine until on christmas eve i got a major case of stomach flu and started vomiting every 20 minutes the first time i was sick my mother-in-law rushed to the bathroom with water a cool compress for my head and made sure i was okay my own mother didn't get up from the sofa i spent christmas day in bed in agony with horrible cramps and regular vomiting sessions my mother-in-law and husband took it in turns to check on me and keep me company my mother only came to see me once after christmas dinner to complain that my mother-in-law gave my husband the yorkshire pudding that had been made for me when she is the real guest should have been offered it if i'd been able to vomit on her i would have but sadly i was just painfully wretching at that point i feel for my husband i truly do the poor man hid in our bedroom for two weeks only venturing out when i told him the coast was clear no stars do not recommend next story entitled dad threatens the wrong grandparents long story hope it's worth your time in spite of being full grown and having a family of my own the scars of growing up with an entitled father still rear their ugly head every once in a while this particular event was one that in all likelihood saved my life i share it now to pay homage to the beloved grandfather who stood up to my dad this happened many years ago but it was monumental enough to stay with me forever i was home in texas for a visit as my dad was stationed in germany my father didn't accompany us on this visit with my grandparents after the last visit he'd wisely learned to steer clear so by this point i was 15 and starting to suffer emotional problems due to the abuse that my dad was heaping on me i was withdrawn my hair was starting to fall out and i had constant panic attacks my sweet grandparents could see that i wasn't well i'd been abused pretty much my whole life and secrecy and denial were embedded in my psyche when they asked me if my dad had done this or that my knee-jerk response was to deny deny deny after three weeks my 16th birthday came around my mom had agreed to extend our stay long enough for me to be in the states to celebrate now my grandfather had the habit since i was a young girl of heading down to a local cafe every morning to have coffee with a group of men from the community i never thought anything of it nor did anyone else that was his coffee time end of story one day not long before we were due to fly back overseas my grandad asked me to go to coffee with him i politely declined who wants to go watch a bunch of old men drink coffee at 7am he gave me a strange look and told me i was going with him the next day he'd make sure i got up in time uh okay sure granddad i got to the cafe and it was exactly what i pictured about seven old men some in suits and some in coveralls granddad grabbed my elbow and guided me to a table with a well-dressed imposing looking man as soon as we sat down he looked at me with the kindest eyes i'd ever seen from a stranger we spent about 20 minutes talking mostly about my life in germany i went home and thought nothing more about it my birthday was four days later then it was time to start getting ready to go back my grandfather took me out the next day to get a new pair of shoes but i was shocked when he pulled up to the courthouse he turned to me and asked point blank if i really wanted to go back i said i didn't but really had no choice he replied what if it was your choice i said again that i didn't have a choice i was terribly frightened of my father's wrath with that he opened my car door and guided me into the courthouse we ended up in an office and a judge walked in the same man i spoke to at the cafe i was stunned but he and my grandad had been friends for years he said so young lady i understand from your grandfather that you wish to be emancipated now i didn't have the first clue what that word meant but i knew that if my grandad said i did i should agree i nodded and the two of them started talking a mile a minute they'd look at me now and then and all i did was nod i knew something big was happening though i didn't understand what when we left grandad told me not to say a word to anyone especially not my mom or brother that night he asked my mom what she thought of me staying in texas and starting school there she of course balked at the idea that night she called my dad and he got on the phone with me and told me i'd better not try anything cute i'd be on that plane or he'd have me put in a mental hospital i went in and told my grandad what he'd said but grandad just smiled and told me to get some sleep next morning i was up at the crack of dawn and granddad told me to go get in the car i remember being so excited and frightened because i knew something was up in 20 minutes i was in front of the judge nodding and saying yes sir to everything he said we walked out and granddad told me i was going to be very brave and trust him to tell me what to do he took me to a little furnished apartment and told me to stay there granddad went home and told my mom that i wasn't going anywhere near her or dad again and handed her paperwork she freaked out and called dad who called and in his most entitled manner told the old man that he didn't know who he was messing with and that if i thought he was just going to let me walk away from him he'd make sure i was locked away until she's 30 and i can make it happen granddad told him if he ever came back to his town there'd be a group of men with shotguns waiting for him my mom and brother left the next week i never said goodbye because my grandad said there was no need to let them back in your head i was an emancipated minor at the age of 16. at 17 i joined the air force i don't think i'd have lived through two more years with that man i miss my grandad so much but i hope he died proud of what he'd done for me and who i became next story because you didn't agree with me it means you are stealing all my money i hope this fits here because it's about my grandma a bit of the background in september of 2016 my grandfather from my mom's side passed away he was the sweetest person and he worked incredibly hard to earn all of the money they have he and my grandma were really good at saving money so they could have a good quality of life when they were really old my grandpa had a very rough childhood and his mom and sisters were definitely entitled and said that they deserved his money and hated my grandma for stealing him after my grandpa died my mom mostly her and uncle bent over backwards to help her in every possible way my grandma can be a witch sometimes normally i'm the one who stands up and calls her out when she says mean things so she always says i remind her of her mother-in-law my mom gets so mad because of that she calls us fats sometimes and even said to my sister you need to lay off the sandwiches which is a beautiful thing to say to your granddaughter my mom never had rebellious teenage years and she followed everything my grandma decided what career she should follow who she could talk to etc the only thing she didn't listen to was marrying my dad and because of that she said for years that he was cheating on her but my mom trusts my dad so she never paid attention to that thank god and she told the same to my uncle about his wife i should say that my dad and aunt have both darker skin tone what happened recently that made me want to share this and got me so angry my grandma is in an old people residential home i think that's how you call it an english nursing home which is equally as pricey as u.s colleges so you know top-notch my grandma always has in her head that they steal from her and replace her belongings with something cheaper but the cameras there showed nothing like that and my mom took pictures of the clothes that she has there and they are the exact same she wants to live on her own but my uncle won't budge which makes sense because it's dangerous for an 85 year old to live alone because my mom didn't believe her she started trash-talking her to the level that she claimed my mom was stealing from her and complained to all the family members after the fight my mom was distraught and called my grandma psychiatrist what did he see her laughing with some friends while my mom was sobbing because she felt like she mistreated her she never apologized and expected my mom to do so which she didn't now my mom is still doing everything for her even though she is still being mistreated i trash talk her but we still love her because she sometimes acts like a normal grandma but seeing my mom hurt got me livid also we accepted that she is old and won't change but my mom forgave her she is too nice that's my story thank you for reading and now we have reached the end of today's stories
