when the Glock pistols came out all those years ago I have to tell you I was not a fan plastic gun ugly but worst of all for a gunsmith there was nothing you could do for it you just had to take the gun as it was there were no accessories well Glocks up there game we got five generations of Glocks now they've made a lot of improvements but five generations later the Glock is much improved and there are more aftermarket accessories than you can shake a stick at for this thing so today we're going to look at the top 12 add-ons for your Glock under $30.00 so here we go number one the Magpul magazine well clip it on like that it looks like it always belonged on there it's secured with a little screw back here through the hole in your receiver and regular Glock magazines or Magpul magazines works just fine with it in place a very nice add-on for not a lot of money number two the Vickers magazine tactical release this is a really nice feature because when you have it on the gun it looks exactly like a factory release it's just a smidge longer and it makes it so much easier to release that now in addition to that if you want something even more pronounced we have the lone wolf magazine release which sticks out a good bit more and has really sharp serrations here some people much prefer this and if you're out at the range doing tactical reloads all that stuff it does make it a lot easier so take your pick there let's see number three this is a pretty obvious one this is a ghost connector for your Glock improves your trigger pull a great deal a lot of people can shoot a Glock just as it comes and the later ones have been getting better but still there are a lot of Glocks out there that can really benefit from this these connectors do not cost a lot of money this particular one we're looking at here is a drop-in if you're going to put a connector in your Glock be sure you know what you're getting because there are two types there's the drop-in and then there are the fitted ones that have this little tab right here and that stops your trigger from going back it limits trigger over travel however these are left over size and your Glock will not fire when you put this in place you have to shorten it and shorten it until you block fires properly and to fit that you'll probably want to get one of these little half slide covers here for the back what that does is let you get a tool in there and lets you trip the trigger bar down and release your striker you can take the slide off the frame without having to remove your back plate just something to look for when you're doing looking at connectors next up we have the recoil spring assembly from lightning strike now this is an all-metal assembly that replaces the polymer assembly on your Glock the Glock considers this a disposable part but with lightning strike you've got a recoil rod made out of real steel you can replace Springs as needed you can vary the weights and you never have to worry about it breaking because it's not plastic its steel nice add-on again not a lot of money now if you have a Glock that doesn't print the point of aim especially for elevation there is a very inexpensive alternative for your rear sight an adjustable sight from Glock factory this is a fully adjustable sight for windage and elevation comes with this neat little tool right here to adjust it slips right in and the best part is it doesn't require any fitting it's got that little metal plate on the bottom to engage the dovetail and that will collapse as you force it in very nice very inexpensive and yet it lets you dial your Glock exactly into point of aim at any range very nice from Glock factory along the line of sights we've got a really nice sight here from high-vis they come in and under $30 this has replaceable light pipes all you do to replace the pipe is take the tool that's included push it in take the pipe you don't want out let me find my let's see let's do red today you insert the new pipe right here nice and easy and you'll notice that the construction here you've got metal over the fiber-optic element so that site is protected it stands up to wear and tear better than most very nice addition for not a whole lot of money let me move some of this all right from strike industries we've got a pretty cool block tool here and what this has on it in addition to your basic punch and this duplicate your Glock tool you've got a sight nut tool here for the front sight countersunk only enough to hold your screw securely in place so you can get it up in there fastened on your front sight the neat feature on this is that it has a magazine disassembly tool on it and how this works is once you squeeze the sides in on your magazine you can put this in here and get some torque on that baby and pull it off now Glock magazines can be a little stubborn and that brings us up to our next item this is the Brownells clock magazine disassembly tool this will gives you some real leverage to squeeze the sides in so those tabs will contract and let you pull that off and remember when you're doing this be sure to take your tool whatever you have and push that plate up there so it's not bridging that gap and keeping the sides from collapsing particularly on these little subcompact magazines these are really tough this is from my model 27 and I have a devil of a time getting these apart without the right tools so consider this next up make your life a little easier is the lone wolf extended slide lock now this is just a little longer on each side than the standard one from the factory so when you install it it sticks out a good bit more not enough to interfere with your holster or any kind of function but it sure is a heck of a lot easier to grab when you're trying to disassemble your Glock if you look here's a standard Glock and there's the lone wolf extended up on that flat dark earth frame some little things that make the big difference and that I find very convenient next up from apex the ultimate safety plunger you'd think this is no big deal but it makes a big difference in a lot of pistols you know if you've got a Glock that feels very smooth with the slide off odds are it's binding either on this safety plunger or on the striker and the strikers are riding on nylon most the time so usually is the safety plunger one little improvement like this and this is true for the Smith & Wesson M&P also this makes a huge difference if you've got that gritty feel when you pull the trigger back so again not a lot of money but it makes a nice little improvement makes the gun that much easier to shoot here we have from Talon we have the rubberized grips on this model 43 now if you have huge hands like I do this makes a huge difference on how this gun feels in your hand suddenly you feel like you have control over it because these small guns they tend to jump around for me this stuff is so thin it's just a rubberized tape basically follows the contours exactly doesn't interfere with any whole string doesn't interfere with unwhole string very nice but it gives you absolute control over the gun which believe me you you need all you can get on a subcompact like this so on my Glock 43 that's going on there too this is one of the tech guns one of our guys has this as a personal gun and he's a believer also these come in different sizes and textures by the way you can get it in the sand paper or skateboard finish you can get it in are just a regular smooth type last model plastic or the rubberized the rubberized is what I much prefer finally at number 12 we have from Pat Meyer the tactical grip glove I love these things because I have large hands I like this the way this feels when I'm out at the range I don't worry about shifting my grip I don't worry about the gun slipping I feel like I have abs control over this thing Peck Myers made this thing so it fits over the finger grooves of your Glock it's a very nice comfortable fit this textured rubber just seems to grab your hand back it's it's like the difference when you have a 1911 that's smooth on the outside or you've got good check ring you know totally different gun a whole go is also makes a similar product like this and either one depending on the style you prefer really adds a lot to it now I can't really recommend it for people with real small hands because it does increase the circumference around your grip but if you got large hands like me this really makes the gun feel like it belongs to you and that's it 12 easy add-ons for your lock all these you can do at home and they're all under 30 bucks thanks for watching we'll see you next time
