Giving myself a Bleach bath at home. Going from honey blonde to platinum blonde at home!

hey guys um i'm back at it again today i am going to be giving myself a bleach bath here is my hair currently it has a lot of yellow and brassy tones in it it's looking really on the brassy side and i just want to lift it a little bit and then see where it's at and then possibly tone it so i'm really excited because this is initially the last step that i want to take for my hair and then i'm just going to leave it and let my roots grow out because i do prefer that look i put on a pretty old looking shirt because i don't want to put on anything nice i actually did a video about me bleaching my hair from black basically to blonde i can put it up here for you guys if you want to see that was initially like the first thing that i did let's get to what i'm using today okay starting off i have this big bowl and last time when i actually bleached my hair i used this exact bowl i want to make sure you actually prepare enough so you're not going back in when everything's so messy so i have this big bowl i have a pair of gloves and i was so stupid and bought these at sally beauty but go in walmart go somewhere cheap and buy a full box because this cost me three dollars and i was a little bit upset that i bought that i know just three dollars but i could have got like 100 or something for that price i have this application brush and i do think that it's important to have this just because it obviously is meant to do the application properly and you don't want to mess it up next i have this quick blue bleach from l'oreal and i have this 20 volume developer and this is what i'm using for my bleach bath now if i wash my hair and i like the way it looks even without a toner because i have a certain hair color that i'm going for i might not even tone my hair because um what i'm trying to do this bleach bath is to lift it a little and get those orange and yellow tones that i don't want out of my hair but i did consult with somebody at the store and they told me that if i needed to tone that i would be able to use the t18 from wella and then i asked them if i should mix it with something that would give me like a more pale blonde instead of such an ashy cool tone blonde and um i decided to pick out t10 so t18 and t10 is what i will be mixing together if i feel like i need a toner now i know brad mondo does not like t18 and i see why and it's because a lot of people that use it they actually haven't reached the level that they need in order to use it so you know what i think i should be able to so we will see okay don't kill me i am not a person that likes to buy a lot of shampoo and conditioner so i only really have a purple shampoo conditioner and then just a normal shampoo conditioner but they are so expensive so i do not want to use that for this bleach bath because i need quite a bit of it so i'm just going to use the suave men's two in one shampoo conditioner don't come for me i know this has terrible ingredients in it so let's make this concoction and let's get going first i'm gonna brush out my hair obviously i need to do that i'll also be making a video of the products that i bought and the things that i use to maintain my blonde hair obviously since bleaching it it has lost some of its health but it honestly is not that bad it could definitely be worse so now that my hair is all brushed out and ready to go um i'm going to dampen it i know that i lose the bleach but that's the purpose of why i'm doing a bleach bath and then we will do the mixture because i don't want to do the mixture and have it sit i want to like do the mixture and apply right away okay so i'm back my hair is damp and i'm ready to start this i need to work really fast once i start applying because i do have a lot of hair i don't know if you guys can see but especially when i wet my hair you can definitely see the golden orange tones and i just i'm not a fan of it another thing i forgot to mention is that i'm not touching my roots i understand that it will probably sleep on my roots but i'm going to try my best not to do that because i personally like the outgrown look [Music] okay i did five scoops to be safe since i've bleached my hair i definitely recommend to go overboard with your bleach and it don't make too little you don't want to do what i did and even though i thought i made enough i literally had to go back in and redo it while the bleach was sitting in my hair and what can happen is that you know some of your hair is done and you have like a chunk of hair that's not done at all so i'm gonna add a little bit of water and then for the shampoo i'm just gonna eyeball it i'm gonna section it off differently this time what i'm gonna do is i'm going to have some hair right here and then as i'm working take hair down and work with that but definitely recommend sectioning your hair doesn't matter what you're doing you need like some sort of sectioning [Music] all right i'm not gonna even use this brush i'm just gonna go in with my hands [Music] so [Music] okay so i ended up applying it to my left side as well and i need to go wash out the right side because i can definitely tell that it's done so i'm gonna try my best not to get any water on the left side but yeah so far it looks like it's really blonde [Music] okay so i washed out it on my one side and i definitely still notice a lot of yellow tones so i don't know what to do i don't know if i should go in with some more and kind of leave it on for like five ten minutes and then give this side some more time so basically it goes out and i just rinse everything out at once and then whatever happens happens so i think i will do that because i do have some bleach left over so i know but this makes such a mess so definitely think about that when you're doing it and yes i am going with my bare hands i don't have any more gloves but i'm going to wash them right away when i'm done i also have the brassiness up top here so i think that's where i'm going to be focusing it [Music] okay i'm gonna give myself ten more minutes because i have noticed that i need to leave it on longer so i'm gonna leave it on longer here but then again leave it on a little bit more here so i'll see you guys when it's all rinsed out i do not like breathing in this crap though ugh all right i'm back i rinse the bleach out of my hair and i'm not sure if i should do a toner to it just because oh wow it really lightens dang okay so maybe i should add a toner i think i will add a toner only because i still see a little bit of um like brassiness so yeah let's go do that so i got my bowl here and i'm planning on doing both of the toners just because i am not even going to leave it on for that long hopefully this works out because i'm actually really liking the blonde in my hair right now i hope it doesn't like mess it up but then again i don't have to leave it in for that long and then i'm gonna fill this bad boy up four times and that's just kind of like an easy way to measure and i'm using a 10 volume toner because they recommend that if you're not looking to lighten that it's not worth damaging your hair and going in with a 20. [Music] you guys i'm about to wash out my toner and i don't even care if it overtone at this point because i know it's gonna wash out but yeah i'll see you guys when my hair is all done guys i am so in love with the results this is it wet and it is more ash toned but i'm so excited to style it i'm actually going to do my makeup right now for the day and i'm going to style my hair i can speed it up for you guys but um yeah so it's definitely more cool toned and i don't know why i kind of was like not into cool tone but now seeing it on me i actually don't mind it at all so let's do our makeup let's get her hair done when i get her hair done i'm doing it but um speaking of which honestly guys like if you do your research and you take the right steps i'm not saying doing your own hair at home i'm just saying that like it is possible to achieve what you like at home with the proper research so don't think you need to go in and spend like hundreds of dollars because after this experience i think that i have come to a different comfort level of doing my own hair so all right let's get to getting ready for the day okay i did my makeup and the last thing that i have to do is style my hair i'm going to be using a heat protectant this is the ion heat protectant and um yeah i'm just going to style my hair for the day [Music] so [Music] do okay so here's how the hair turned out i'm literally like obsessed like beyond obsessed i cannot believe that this works so well and i still have my roots and it just exceeded my expectations i don't know i'm in love and i hope that if you guys tried this out that it works out for you too once again i'm not a professional so this is just me trying to make things affordable over here so yeah honestly super obsessed love the color love the ashiness obsessed so i hope you guys enjoyed this video and yeah don't forget to comment down below and let me know your thoughts and i'll see you guys in my next video bye
