Bleaching my hair PLATINUM BLONDE... (it actually turned out good)

hey guys welcome back to my channel um today i'm bleaching my hair [Music] i wasn't gonna do this because it scares me i've never bleached my own hair before i've never bleached anybody else's hair before um but you know i want to try it out so i recently ordered everything that i'm going to need for this online and it came today so i'm gonna open up these packages tell you guys what i got and everything and then i'm gonna head over to my bathroom and start bleaching my hair as you guys can tell i've had treatments done to my hair i've gotten a balayage about three times now and i just really want to go platinum blonde like the ends of my hair are pretty much almost platinum but i want my whole head to be platinum like even my roots so i'm thinking i'm gonna have to do my roots probably at least twice and then maybe just do like my entire head once i'm praying it doesn't turn out bad because i have a job interview tomorrow so just giving you guys a little bit of a heads up my camera might die throughout the process of filming this video so if my battery does end up dying i'm gonna be switching over to filming on my phone so here's the first package they shipped my order in two different packages um i ordered everything from sally beauty i would have honestly just went there in person but i was lazy so i didn't okay so i bought um the developer i just bought 20 volume and then i got two bottles of toner i wasn't sure how many bottles i was going to need so i just got two this is the wela color charm liquid hair toner and i got it in t14 i also got a mixing bowl to mix my bleach and my toner and everything and this argan oil hair mask i'm going to be using this after i bleach my hair because it's probably going to be very very dead and they didn't carry any of like the brushes so i went to the dollar store and i just got a pack of three they were like two dollars and then my bleach is in here so i'm gonna open that so this is the l'oreal technique high performance quick blue lightning powder um i was gonna get the wella powder but it was like really expensive and the reviews for this and the wella powder are like exactly the same so yeah i think i'm ready to get started i'm just gonna put on like a different shirt than this because i don't want to get bleach on this and then i'm going to head over to my bathroom and get started okay so i forgot i needed gloves so i just ran downstairs and grabbed those really quick i'm very nervous right now okay so i need one scoop of this to 1.5 to 2.5 fluid ounces of my developer i'm gonna point my camera to my counter so you guys can like see what i'm doing it smells really bad [Music] okay so it was this point in the filming process that my camera decided to die so if the quality is suddenly really shitty i'm really sorry there's not much i i don't i'm sorry um so now i'm gonna be brushing my hair out and then like actually like sectioning it out which i think i remember how to do also i've waited until my hair kind of like recovered from getting it bleached before i bleached it again because i don't want to put too much like stress on my hair i don't want to make it like dead so i'm going to section it down the middle all the way to like the base of my neck [Music] i'm just gonna tie this so it doesn't get in my way so yeah i'm just taking sections like behind my ears from the apex of my head so i'm just taking like the top half ish section of like the section that i just made as you can tell i have literally no idea what i'm doing so since the ends of my hair are already like relatively light i'm not necessarily gonna focus the bleach on that section of my hair but i'm also not gonna focus in on like the very roots because some of the basic knowledge of bleaching your hair is don't start with your roots because if you do that the heat that's coming from your head will activate the bleach faster and you're just going to end up with like bright blonde roots i'm going to do like this section and then when i'm done my whole head doing that middle section i'm gonna do my roots let it sit um i have a plastic bag so it can incubate and then i'm gonna rinse it out and then do my whole head again yeah so i got my bleach and i'm ready to go i'm really scared though i'm so scared as soon as i apply this bleach there's no going back [Music] and that scares me just do it just do it just do it so i'm going about half an inch away from my root i don't really know if you guys can see that okay so this is pretty much all i'm gonna be doing for the next however long this takes me so i'm probably just gonna fast forward it until i'm like moving on to my roots so i'll see you guys when i do that so i just finished like the ends of my hair and everything and now i'm going to do my roots so this is what it's looking like um i did my roots and everything and as you can tell it's already processing really fast so i'm going to i only have one glove on right now so i'm going to like twist my hair together so it can process a bit better i'm going to let this process for like 20 minutes and i'm going to check on it and then if it's good to go i'll rinse it out if not i'll leave it on for another like 10 minutes um but yeah i will see you guys when i'm done i'm just gonna check see how we're doing oh my gosh my scalp is very itchy [Music] okay so i just got out of the shower this is what my hair is looking like we're very orange by the roots but my actual roots are pretty much white obviously i knew i was going to have orange in my hair because that always happens when you bleach your hair it's pretty much unavoidable so i'm gonna dry it and then we're gonna go in again with bleach and i'll rinse that out see how we're doing if it's light enough then i'll tone it [Music] [Applause] so this has been on for about 20 minutes but i'm going to see what it looks like [Music] honestly like i just want to get this out of my hair so i'm going to go shower and then i'm going to come back and then i'm going to mix up my toner and then tone it and we're going to see what it looks like okay so i just rinsed the bleach out and this is what we're looking like it is still a little bit yellow up here but honestly i'm so done with this i'm just going to let the toner take care of it now i'm going to take my toner as i said before i'm using the wella um color charm toner hey guys so it is really late right now it's like 11 o'clock and i am just editing my video i realized that i didn't even show you guys my hair because i got sidetracked and things have been totally crazy because i've been editing videos and like all this stuff and it's currently night time right now it's like 11 o'clock so there isn't like the best lighting in here but you guys can definitely tell like i am a lot blonder than i was i also have some pictures that i took for my instagram so i'll put them on the screen somewhere um just so you guys can get a better look of it
