Oh being organized just makes life better you know how knowing where your stuff is knowing where your gear is you know when you're getting ready to go on a trip being able to have it all in one location maybe just grabbing a small bag and I'm getting ready to go on vacation so I really started thinking about this and just wanted to encourage you to get your gear organized recently I picked up a couple of organizational bags and they are from Maxpedition which you guys know if you watched my channel that I love Maxpedition gear to me they make the best gear on the market and it's just it's just tough it's called hard use gear for a reason and so we've got a couple of bags here this is the skinny organizer and this is the chubby organizer and I guess it's pretty self-evident of why they're named that way but I've had a number of Maxpedition bags in the past I have some of the many organizers and some of the other shells and different things they do and it really makes it great to be able to just see that pack and know that there are certain items in there now these are new bags by Maxpedition and one of the things about my expeditions are always coming out with new bags because there's so many different preferences that people have so what I want to do is I'm going to talk about both of these bags because they're similar in some ways but they're different completely different than others for one thing we're just going talk about all the similarities so this is both of them are 10 50 denier ballistic nylon they do have a DuPont finish on it's a Teflon finish and you know if you get these dirty you're not supposed to wash them you just take a damp cloth and you wipe them down it keeps grime and abrasion down they also have YKK zippers which you know they're double pull with paracord pulls and one of the things about YKK zippers is that you know they're self lubricating the more you use them the smoother they get I've never had any issues with these zippers they're just good and high quality a lot of it has to do with the double triple stitching on the zippers you know and all the stress points are double and triple stitched they do the X Box stitching like this and this really helps especially with these little grab handles which each one has a nice grab handle you know makes it really easy just to pick up grab and go which is my typical motor carry but they do have hook and loop or Mali attachments on the back and you can get the little tack ties they offer or you can get you know malice clips or whatever and run those through and attach these to your packs now both of these have nice mesh pockets with a little velcro keeper on it and this of course is much smaller but you can slip whatever items you want to down in here you can see what you have so it makes it kind of nice a little right in the rain pad I want to just slip it in even put a pin right here and then they also have the hook and loop fields right here for your patches or whatever and this helps you to identify whatever now this is one of the Maxpedition patches vinyl patches you can put whatever you want to on here and blood type different things like that now the spine of the pack is seen which makes it nice has a nice little reinforced piece of the den ear right here and it's on both of them and that's going to be important when you open these up because you can see the zipper comes all the way around and then you have double zippers which makes it really nice you can get this pack really open and one of the immediate differences between the two is they both have YKK zippers but one of them has a security lock on here and right here if you look there is two circles that meet together and you can put a small lock right here now of course that's just for someone messing around trying to get into your pack but it definitely gives you some sense of security with that of course even with the skinny you can take these and even put a zip tie on here or you can put a lock on here but one of the great things about all the Maxpedition packs is they have a triple poly urethane coat and what that does is it almost makes it waterproof I mean it makes it super water-resistant and it's just really a cool feature especially when you have really expensive gear in your packs and when I say triple poly urethane coat it just slides right off now we'll go into the webbing right here but on the standard material this rolls right off now we're going to look at the differences between the two the dimensions on the skinny organizer are eight inches in length four inches in width and about an inch and a half and death and it can be expanded a little bit past that we're going to open it up and like all of my expeditions packs I mean they just have a lot of places to be able to organize your gear and of course this one's full and of course this stuff is not included but one of the things about this there's a zipper pocket behind here and so you can put a little med kit you can put important papers things like that I think I have some Vaseline cotton balls back here for a fire starter but also all along here are different sizes to be able and these are elastic keepers to be able to keep your gear together and in the front you have front pouches like this and this can keep the smaller items together or thinner items and in the back you can keep heavier items back here in this back area right here in the center you've got a really great place to put something you really need to get to quickly and of course a flashlight and this gets the whole length of the pack okay and for you guys who want to know what the gear is this is a sidekick by Leatherman and then I have one of the Oh lights this is the m18 striker and it has the crenulated bezel great self-defense option in a non-lethal situation and this is one of the carbon fiber hooks from Bastion really great little source for all kind of really cool things here on the other side we have some keepers actually a little loop here and then here of course we have also a keeper as well and I can keep these things together on this little d-ring and I can get to it but I can retain it this is one of the Oh light i7 ARS this is a really cool system it hooks in like this and it is rechargeable but for me I've got the base hook to it pull it loose be able to see what I need to see put it back and it's on the pack of course again same difference here we've got the larger behind it and then the smaller in front and then there's an open pouch in the back right here for any kind of little papers or whatever you need right here but then here this is the way it would be when you get it with it empty with all the gear to take up but you can see where the elastic keepers run this way and this way with the pouches and the zipper and really this could take more gear than what I had packed in here the chubby organizer is 9 inches in height 7 inches in width and then in depth it's about 3 inches and again you can kind of pack that and swell it out in the center but it definitely gives you a consistency and really that's a pretty decent sized pack then of course you take your grab handle you can carry this really easily of course you've got your double zippers you can pull them all the way back to be able to really open up your pack and it just lays out flat and of course immediately you can see one of the big differences is the universal holster for your concealed carry piece you can carry this as a standalone concealed carry or you know you can use this as a backup especially if you're traveling it even has a keeper for your magazine and this is the it's a really cool system because this is fully adjustable of course we're going to go ahead and double check to make sure the gun is unloaded and it is of course this is one of the new Sphinx 9-millimeter sub compacts this is a really incredible pistol reviews coming and then you have your place for your magazine one of the cool things about this is all this can be moved I mean you can actually move this somewhere else you can move the holster somewhere else in fact you can take this holster all the way out use it for some other pack anywhere that has the velcro or who can loop field this is fully adjustable so we can go to whatever size pistol you're carrying and to it orientates the gun so it keeps it from being out of orientation if you put your hand down here you know exactly what orientation the firearm is going to be you know if you just have it loose in a bag it could be in any orientation you may be grabbing the slide the muzzle who knows so with this it really helps then you know this also is good for little velcro patches like this wherever you want to put them we're here in the center is pretty large you could put different items here we do just have one of the Gerber's this is a nice little knife but whatever you decide to do here and then there is a nice mesh pocket fact I'm and of course you can keep different things here papers a medkit whatever you want to in this back pouch it's actually pretty large there is a small paracord keeper right here and I just have one of the grimlocks here but you can put whatever you want to but this just for show and then of course again the elastic bands that we saw in the skinny organizer and the small ones up front and of course they'll accommodate different sizes because they are elastic which makes it kind of nice and then back behind you put your larger items in there as well and this is the way you're going to get it just kind of open a lot of things that the holster is included so that makes it kind of nice but it just gives you a lot of more room and of course you know it's a much larger pack and to be honest with you I could put a whole lot more in here than I had in here but if you put a firearm in here you're really going to need to make sure you keep this kind of open but it definitely does pack a good bit of gear now guys I've been using Maxpedition gear for over six years in different type bags different type things and I've had a lot of experience with these bags and you know I'm not selling these I don't make a dime by doing this I'm just showing you what's available because I want you to understand that this stuff is tough as nails of course you get your suits discount because I've done so many reviews on Maxpedition that the guys at Maxpedition really appreciate what I do and you get a 10% discount if you order off the Maxpedition website does is it allows you to fine-tune your preferences to get the bag that fits you and fits the situation or the niche that you need so Maxpedition is doing a great job I want to thank those guys at
