tap action so you can do like a double tap to turn on your flashlight you know triple tap to take a screenshot Etc uh the iPhone has this feature and some people have asked me why Samsung doesn't it's actually not the case they do have it you just have to enable it in a very specific way and I'll show you guys how to do that today before we get started I do want to thank my son Jonathan for giving us some animals to hang out in the video we've got the lion and the t-rexx he always gives us some animals you know sea creatures dinos to hang out we really do appreciate him for that also want to absolutely love the service and I know you will too so give them a try today try mobile.com Springer I do appreciate mint for being Partners on the channel so let's go ahead and talk about how you can enable backt actions on your Galaxy s24 Ultra this is a goodlock module so if you haven't already installed goodlock uh if you don't know much about goodlock it is a suite of customization apps that allows you to modify your Samsung phone it is made by Sam Samsung it's a division called goodlock Labs which is within Samsung's own software division so it's not a third party app it is made by Samsung themselves once you install it there's two tabs there's makeup and there's life up and on the life up side at the bottom second from the bottom you'll find registar this is the application you can install if you tap over here to install it I already have it installed uh you'll be able to then enable it once you do that go ahead and go ahe to registar and uh you'll turn it on at the very top to make sure it's enabled you have to allow a couple permissions as well and there's numerous things you can do in here I'm going to be concentrating on two of them really today which is the settings extensions at the bottom you can also customize your settings order uh view your settings change history and search options I'm going to talk about those in a separate video but today let's look at this one backt action so what this allows you to do if you actually tap at the little info at the top back tap detection won't be running even though the foreground service is on those cases are when the device is locked so this basically tells you that when the device is locked it won't work if you turn it on though so it will work all other times and there's a couple things here you can enable so at the very most basic level there are two options for the different back Taps you can enable you can do a double tap and you've got a bunch of different options take and share a screenshot access Google Voice Assistant start pop-up window show notifications show recents back button or open app so you can see here under open app you can go ahead and enable pretty much any app that you want and there's various settings within each of those so like if you look here you can see like Chrome or Ebay you can see you go search watch list saved so this is actually something new they added to registar for those of you who are you know longer registar users who watch the channel for a while you can now get into like a specific aspect of an application you don't necessarily have to go just into the basic application you can go like Instagram you can have it open up a new post for Instagram when you do the double tap so like if I go here and I go double tap on the back it goes right into making an in Instagram post obviously I need to allow access I don't use Instagram that much so that's probably why that's not enabled there but if you add if you allow access to your photos then obviously you can go in there and make your post uh and then you have the access to the triple tap as well and uh for that for instance you could do something like access your Google Voice assistance so if I go back here and I do three you do have to be there you go right there is Google Voice Assistant it does take a second uh to get used to it but it is really convenient if you use a feature like Google Voice Assistant you know fairly often it is something that I think can be helpful now the ones that I usually use is a take screenshot and access your Google Voice Assistant those are the two that I use the most but I have been digging into more of like can I use it to go to a specific place in an app because like I said this is really convenient that now when you go into here and you want to open a particular app it'll let you choose those settings I think that's really awesome that's something that wasn't there uh in the original version of registar so lots of cool stuff you can do there show notifications as well you can choose what works for you now there's a couple of other options in here as well that make this a little bit easier to use one of them is the sensitivity and uh I have a couple of suggestions on this so you can go low medium and high sensitivity if you have a case on I highly recommend you leave the top one on um and usually you won't trigger on accident if you have a case this is the magb case it's a little bit of a more protective case it's certainly not the thinnest case I love the magb case I'm going to have a separate little video talk discussing this case as well but with a case on you should definitely leave it here if you don't have a case on I would either go the bottom or the middle the lower medium depending on your use so try it a little bit and see what works but definitely with a case if it's a rather thick case or something like that um definitely go with the higher setting otherwise you won't be able to actually trigger the action when you want to uh the other thing is Show event detection what this basically does is when you turn it on it shows you a little little toast popup notification that you enabled it that way you know if you accidentally enabled or triggered it by mistake then you can kind of decide if you want to also dial in the sensitivity settings a little more and then here are the gates so you can choose to turn this off when you have low battery power saving mode or device locked now device lock is on by default and you actually can't change that but I do recommend you turning this gate on for low battery because registar in the back tap action does consume some battery cuz it's waiting for that back tap to occur and if you want you know if you get below 15% you don't want something draining your battery unnecessarily so I usually have this turned off when I get below there I I usually don't get below 15% too often on my phone but it is something to uh take note of uh and then I just wanted to briefly mention for those who don't want to use backt tap it also allows you to um to customize your side press key now I usually customize mine using the main settings so I don't really have a need to turn this on cuz I like my side press key action to be the power menu but if you want something other than the power menu you can do basically all the same stuff like you can turn on or off the flashlight just by pressing your power key uh pressing hold uh and then of course you'd have to do the two button combination for your power menu but uh I usually just leave this on the default setting because when I press and hold I really want to get to the power menu myself but you can turn this on if you like it I prefer the back tap action only from registar anyway hope you
