so you're thinking of picking up a new phone and you want to know if you should go out and buy the Galaxy s24 Plus or the bigger brother the Galaxy s24 Ultra well I'm here to help you guys make that decision by telling you some of the actual real world differences that I found using these two phones so the first thing I want to talk about is the thing that I think everyone cares about the most is the price so the s24 plus starts at $11,000 and the s24 ultra starts at $1,300 but to my surprise right now Best Buy is running insane promotions for a limited time so you can get up to $750 of trading credit you also get a free storage upgrade and Best Buy is going to throw in a $150 gift card so all of that definitely makes the price just a little bit more bearable if you guys are interested I'll have a link down below that'll take you straight there the price difference may or may not make sense to you because these phones are kind of similar but the ultra does have a pretty massive advantage that you will notice on a day-to-day basis and and no by the way I not talking about the Spen I'll talk about it here in a few minutes but it's pretty intense so how's the form factor of these phones how do these phones feel in hand because obviously as you guys can tell they have a pretty different design language and one of them is clearly more comfortable than the other one the Galaxy s24 plus has what Samsung is calling the aluminum armor 2.0 for the chassis of the phone making it more durable than the previous s23 plus from last year the corners of the phone are curved making it very similar to something like the iPhone which does of course enhance the Comfort level of the phone in your hand the s24 plus does have a 6.7 in Quad HD Plus display which is a nice upgrade from the maximum full HD Plus from last year's model I am super happy to see Samsung make that decision and finally give us Quad HD on the plus-sized phones the s24 ultra on the other hand uses titanium as it chassis which does make it more durable than the s24 ultra but let's be honest you're going to use the case anyway the corners of the s24 ultra are boxy in fact they are basically 90° angles but the Comfort level isn't as bad as you might think since the sides are curved but I must admit the s24 plus is definitely the more comfortable phone to hold because it kind of mimics your typical smartphone design not every smartphone out there is a box like the s24 ultra so you are probably more you know used to this kind of style and so am I because it is definitely way more comfortable and it's lighter the s24 ultra also does have a slightly larger display coming in at 6.8 in compared to 6.7 in but you're not really going to notice it unless you have the two phones side by side but you know in your daily life you're not really going to notice A1 in difference in size now remember in the beginning of the video I told you guys that the s24 ultra does have a really massive advantage over the s24 plus well that my friends is the anti-reflective display it is no no joke the s24 ultra as you see with its anti-reflective display compared to the s24 plus that has a similar display to mostly every other phone this is the thing that I noticed the most when looking at these two phones and actually using them indoors outdoors and especially especially with dark mode enabled if your phone does not have an anti-reflective display which I think none of them do except the OnePlus open that's a foldable phone with an anti-reflective display that thing is a beast but it's pretty expensive but in any other phone if your display is glossy which most of them are uh you go outside especially if you have dark mode enabled you're going to see a ton of Reflections and at that point it doesn't even matter how bright your display is because it's dark mode you're always going to have a dark background which will reflect everything around you but using the s24 ultra outside even in dark mode it just it doesn't matter you see all your content perfectly it is pretty awesome and if you guys are enjoying the video so far I would definitely appreciate you leaving me a like it is absolutely free to you but it helps me and the channel out a lot and I always truly appreciate it and if you are new here consider subscribing so next I want to talk about the performance of these two phones spoiler alert it's the same well kind of so if you're going for the s24 ultra congratulations no matter where you live you're getting the Snapdragon 8 Generation 3 which is a fantastic chipset however if you're going for the s24 or the S 24 plus like in this case depending where you live you might get the Snapdragon AG gen 3 or you're going to get the exos 2400 now obviously you know in North America you're getting Snapdragon no matter which phone you go for that's just how it's always been so I can only speak on behalf of the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 as I did not try the exos 2400 but the 8 gen 3 on both of these phones has you know it's been amazing no overheating at all even when I'm uploading tons and tons of gigabytes of videos and photos over um over to Google photos using cellular data there's just no issue at all just as a comparison which does not have anything to do with this video but I have the pixel 8 Pro as well and when I'm using cellular data uploading to Google photos the phone overheats you know it's it's it's it's just not reliable so of course I love the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 the s24 ultra and the s24 plus also have 12 gigabyt of ram throughout any storage option you go for but the s24 ultra does top out at 1 tbte compared to 512 GB on the s24 plus and all of them have the base uh storage at 256 so no more 128 so all that being said if you live in a region where you get the exos 2400 and you don't really trust exos from the prior issues that they've had throughout the years well the only option is to go for the s24 ultra because you're getting Snapdragon honestly from my time of using both the phones the only reason you should get the s24 ultra is of course if you want that anti-reflective display if you want that better camera and of course obviously the S Pen the main camera on the s24 ultra is 200 maps and the one on the s24 plus is 50 Maps now look in the real world the differences aren't going to be that dramatic since both phones end up bending the photos down to 12 megapixels so you get the best amount of processing now of course each phone has their highest resolution mode and that's where the differen has become more apparent but look you know when you take a photo now you know what do you do with it most of the time you just upload it to Facebook you upload it to Instagram you upload it to Twitter Pinterest I don't know do people still use Pinterest don't know I never used it but you upload it to social media and then that social media app is still going to degrade the quality of the photo anyway and let's be honest when's the last time you scroll through your you know your Facebook you see a photo then you zoom in 900 times to to to look at the Quality no one does that they just scroll they see a photo press like then you just keep scrolling no one's there examining your photos so yeah of course the s24 ultra is clearly the sharper phone if you want or not the sharper phone but it's the phone that takes the sharper photos but that just kind of depends on you know how picky do you want to be since the s24 ultra has a 50 megapixel five times lens compared to 10 megapixel three times lens well you'll obviously be able to zoom in more using the ultra without losing any detail or very minimal detail if you're a fan of recording videos then you also must know that the s24 ultra is the only phone in Samsung's lineup that can record in 4k at 120 frames per second which means for the first time ever you can actually play back your video at the same exact refresh rate that the screen goes to but not only that if you love to edit your videos that means you can take that 4K 120 video put it into your 30 frame uh frames per second timeline or 24 whichever one you love no hate then you can actually technically get 4k slow motion that is pretty nifty now of course that is kind of Niche not everyone edits their videos but what isn't Niche is that not many people know this by the way the s24 ultra is the only phone in Samsung's newest lineup that can record 4K 60 across all the lenses so once you start recording in 4k 60 frames per second as you guys can tell you can switch between all the preset lenses and they actually do switch but meanwhile on the s24 plus once you uh enter 4K 60 and you press record you can only digitally zoom in you can't actually switch to the ultrawide or switch to the telepa you actually have to stop recording switch to the to the uh to the different camera and then record again so if you ever go on vacation or a road trip or maybe you're you're at your kid soccer game and you want to record and you want to actually then zoom in and actually use the de dedicated zoom lenses so you keep the most quality the s24 ultra is the phone to get Now battery life is another difference it's pretty minor but it's still there so of course the ultra consistently gets better battery life it's no it's not really a shock it has uh a bigger battery by 100 milliamp hours the screen sizes are basically the same it's only a 0.1.1 in difference uh they both go to Quad HD Plus so in terms of screen Tech they are basically identical but this one has bigger battery so with this one I'm consistently getting believe it or not around 7 hours 45 to 8 hours of screen on time which is just Bonkers and from the s24 plus I'm consistently getting about an hour less sometimes about 45 minutes less again please take this with a grain of salt your usage is obviously going to be different from my usage if you use the cameras more if you play more games than I do because I don't play games so you probably do play more games than I do if you do play games does that make sense then your battery life of course is going to be worse and this is common sense so all in all I highly recommend getting the ultra over the s24 plus because mainly of that insane anti-reflective display the higher quality cameras when you're zooming in and of course the better battery life and if that stuff is kind of minimal for you maybe you don't really care about any of that stuff and you care more about maybe the lightweightness the lightweightness is that a word whatever if you care about that and you care about the Comfort level then you just cannot go wrong with the s24 plus this thing is just as it's a beast I mean let's just be honest it is what it is so if you have any questions definitely feel free to drop them down below I'm kind of curious to see what you guys think about these two phones and also if you did buy either the s24 the s24 Plus or the s24 ultra let me know how they are treating you I'm really curious to know and if you guys did enjoy today's video definitely click that like it's free for you and if you are new here consider
