Have you eaten your dinner yet, everyonee :D If you haven't, you can eat me :))) Both delicious and healthy :)))))))) I'm just kidding, you're gonna get fried chicken on your plate tonight, not me :)))) Or am I o-o? First, I'm gonna bring my apron in so I look cool just like your anime crushes :)))) Look at that absolutely magnificant side profile :)) I'm not like you who eat chips all day and have a jiggly belly :)))) I can already hear the haters telling me that I'm holding my belly in :)))) I look so cool in this scene right?? Right?? Just like the badass characters in movies too :)) And Mr.PussyCat over there is looking not as good but still really cute :))) For this recipe I'm gonna use about half a kilo of chicken legs and wings. You shouldn't buy the big pieces because it cooks pretty slowly Other than that, bigger pieces also takes longer to marinate and they're not as juicy. Remember to wash your chicken and leave it to dry Now, let's make the marinating mixture for the chicken. This step is pretty easy, so get yer butt up and get a liter of water :)) And then pour in 1 and a half tsp of salt. You can change this to taste ofc. I'm using this amount so the chicken can soak the flavor in, and in addition of the chilli sauce, this is the perfect amount Throw in, gently :), a spoon of sugar and 2 cloves of crushed shallot Now let's begin our workout and stop being lazy for once :)) Mix until the sugar and salt is dissolved You can then put your pieces of chicken wings and legs into the bowl after that :) I'm gonna leave it to marinate for 6-8h. Please do put it in the fridge or it'll start to rot like your quarantined brain :'( We'll move on with the crust :) First, sieve 240g of all-purpose flour into a newly bought wooden bowl >:D If you don't have it, buy it :)) Or else you'll ruin the aesthetics :'( After that, continue to sieve 60g of cornflour and 1tsp of baking soda Everything will go as planned as long as you have your trusty newly bought wooden bowl :))))) I'm gonna season the flour so I can dip the chicken in all types of sauces later :)) You can change the amount to taste I'm gonna use 1/2tbsp of salt and 1tsp of garlic powder. If you don't know, a tablespoon is the spoon for soup, and teaspoon is the spoon for coffee and tea cups. The more you know :))))) You can add chili powder if you like to eat spicy food. I'm using Korean chili powder because it's not spicy and the color is really pretty A tsp of chili powder and a tsp of onion powder sets it right and maybe make your eyes stings a little :)) you can get all of these in the supermarkets and online shops Last is a tsp of grounded pepper :)) Mix it all all up okay, my beloved viewers? :))) After that sweaty workout for your little twig arms, divide the flour into 2 bowls :))) A newly bought wooden bowl and a fatally adorable cat bowl :)) Oh the empathy I have for you guys without these :))) I racked my brains for a way to help you to divide the flour easily so listen up :)))) By listen up, I meant like, look at me beautiful hands and what I do, not at the subtitles. Ik you have mastered the weeb culture but, still :))) After dividing the flour into 2 parts, I'll use one of them for the wet ingredients. I'll crack in 2 eggs and 100ml of water And then mix it all up until it dissolves :D If the mixture is too dense, add in a wee bit of water, and if it's too watery, borrow also a wee bit of flour from the other bowl until it's like mine here in the vid Take out the chicken from the fridge and leave it to warm up to room temp before cooking it Because the chicken won't cook all the way through if it's still freezing cold So don't be a rebellious moody teen and listen to me over here :)) Leave it to warm up and pat it dry after. Or else I'll ground you :))))))) For the next step, put your high quality Korean pot onto your high quality also Korean stove :)))))) I'm just kidding, just remember to use a small and deep pan so you can save up some oil While waiting for the oil to heat up, I'm going to dip the chicken into the flour I'll start with dipping the chicken into the liquid mixture and then lift it up for some of the excess flour to run down, only a little though or your teeth's gonna break in half when you eat it :))) Transfer the piece of meat into the dry flour bowl, bury that dead corpse in the flour and use your hands and GENTLY press the flour onto the meat so it can stick There's the dry flour sticking to the outside of the chicken but the liquid still has to be soft and running down the meat like mine right here :D This is the best way to make the crust spring out. If the dry flour layer is thick, it'll still spring out but just very little And one more thing you have to keep in mind is that the oil has to be piping hot or the crust won't spring out and I'll die from sadness :))))) Dip the chicken pieces as you go, don't dip it in first or the flour will dry up and the crust won't, you guessed it, spring out :))) Look at that beautiful crust my dudes :D Keep the stove at medium heat in about 15min until it turns a golden brown and it starts to float, then take it out While waiting, I'm gonna pretend I'm sleeping so the simps can do their things :))) Oh and remember that you have to deep fry it and don't be cheap :))))) I used chili powder in the crust so it has a really appetizing red color. If you want your chicken to have a more yellow color, you can use turmeric Last reminder is that you have to throw out the burnt bits in the oil pot after every batch so it won't stick to the chicken and ruin the color Now, it's the section of the video to dissect your food becaue your viewers are curious of what's inside :)) Listen to that sound of hot sizzling :))) You only need to hear the sounds the crust makes to know that this is some good chicken :))) Seeeeee? It's super crunchy and crispy. The meat inside is still very juicy and not dry at all, the spices have been absorbed very nicely The only thing missing here to knock you off your feet are the sauces :))) It looks so good, right? :))) Young adults and kids alike really love this dish :)) And ofc, PussyCat is not an exception :)))) The outer crust is super crunchy, the meat is very juicy indeed :)) It's the best dish for winter time like this when you only have your waifu body pillows and food to warm you up :)))) I'm still drooling over it while making the subtitles :)) I'll probably make another batch to eat because it's super easy to make, so try it :)) Fine fine I'll give one piece to PussyCat or he'll try to scratch me again :))) If you have any recommendations for food you want to eat next week, comment below :) My FB is Nguy?n Duy Hoàng and my IG is @OhNino2 Remember to like and share my video or PussyCat will scratch you at night :))) Ofc don't forget to subscribe and thank you so much~ Bai baiiiiiiiii~ Translator: Souk (@someoneuknow04 IG)
