FIX for single player SAVE GAME BUG // Ark Survival Ascended Xbox

hey everybody how's it going welcome back to another beard guys Arc ascended video just a real quick one today there's been a big issue going on since the small xbox update a few days ago where players have been unable to save their single player game progress this seems to have affected loads of players I've seen comments about it all over Twitter Reddit Discord and in my YouTube comments it's not a bug that I have had myself but it does seem to affect a lot of people I'm sure we will get a proper fix for this but I did see a post on Twitter yesterday from someone suggesting a workaround which seems to have worked for them and a few other people so I'm just going to walk you through how to do that today like I said I haven't had the bug so I can't 100% verify this myself to show that it works but if you have had this bug and you want to give it a go then please let me know in the comments if it works for you or not and if it turns out to be a load of rubbish then I guess I'll just delete the video so what some players seem to have done to fix this bug where theying single player games weren't saving at all was by running the destroy wild dinos command which just kills all of the Untamed dinosaurs on the map so this presumably would hint that it is some sort of memory issue too many dinosaurs on the map and the game is unable to save for some reason if you want to run the destroy wild dinos command first you need to enable your console commands on Xbox you do that by going into settings going to the advaned tab and then on the left here see you got console access make sure that sets you on and then click save then when you go back into the game and have your pause menu open you'll see in the bottom left of the screen it says console command you press the back/ select button to open that and in this box at the bottom here it'll just be blank when you first open it up I've got this command already set and if I just press X to edit this as an example to show you type in here destroy wild dinos all one word and then just press start and you're going to see all of those dinosaurs in front of me are going to immediately disappear this won't destroy your tamed dinosaurs but it will destroy every every other dinosaur on the map so if there was a particular dinosaur you are waiting to try and tame then you might not want to run this but if you can't save your game anyway then I suppose what's there to lose you see if I fly back over here I'll just show you that one of my dinosaurs is very much still alive after we've done that the dinosaurs you have killed will respawn well not those specific ones but dinos will slowly respawn you see we've already got a tanod on here it's going to look pretty empty for a while if we fly around you'll see there's not really much going on at the map of the minute but creatures will gradually respawn as you go into different areas of the map and they load in they'll spawn back in naturally so like I said if you've been having that issue and you fancy giving this a try and leaving some feedback in the comments that'd be amazing I saw this initially mentioned by Twitter user uh Josh PR so shout out to them I'll put a link to the original Post in the description hopefully this will help some people out if you've been having any other big issues on Xbox other than you know your frame rate or your graphics not looking how you'd like then do let me know down in the comments the big one that I'm interested in at the moment is screen area I've had loads of people reporting that their game doesn't fit on the screen properly their hot Bar is missing and there's no option to resize your safe area like you normally expect in games in fact there's no accessibility options whatsoever in this game there's no color blind mode uh there's no nothing which seems kind of mad to me in a game in 2023 to have no color blind or safe area options and a lot of people seem to be suffering from issues related to this so if anyone has some sort of fix or work around for that then let me know cuz that would be amazing to find out of course the problem with this temporary fix if it does work is that you're going to have to just destroy wild dinos every single time you exit the game and it's still a bit of a roll of the dice like I said I can't guarantee this works if you go and play for 12 hours and then do destroy wild dinos and then save and it doesn't work uh don't blame me fingers crossed will get a proper fix from wild card for this soon but for now hopefully this might help a few people if I was having this bug and wanted to play single player I'd recommend maybe logging in and just testing to see if it will save initially with destroy wild dinos and then maybe play for half an hour on Destroy dinos and try saving it see if that works then maybe play for an hour it's going to be tedious but you might be able to get along and save you know every hour just to make sure it's working properly I would probably not recommend playing the game for hours and hours straight without trying out saving it cool so that's everything for today hopefully that's useful too if you found it
