Fishing the Beach When Something Crazy Happened!

oh oh there's a good one there we go there we go there we go there we go that's a better one this may be one of the worst things that's happened to me out here while fishing I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get back well folks it is official I think what we all like about the sport of fishing so much is that the outcome is always unknown some days you get that monster fish and well some days you just don't however each trip is always an adventure and on this particular day there were no shortage of surprises out here today folks gee I want y'all to look at this water absolutely beautiful we're back out here at the point in Pensacola if you saw my last video we got into a big school of jacks today I kind of came prepared for all kinds of stuff all right we've got big baits for giant sharks we have we're gonna Target redfish Spanish mackerel Jacks you name it just anything that swims by out here it does not get any better than this right here these conditions are top of the line guys this is Paradise this morning so let's get out here and see if we can catch something we just got to our spot we're going to throw our first bait out right here and then it's going to be a big hunk of Bonita check that out there we go nice shot just realized I came all the way out here and I forgot my sand spikes I have everything that I need to fish with today minus my sand spikes so I'm gonna have to put this rod in my beach cart let's pray that a big fish doesn't take it overboard I'm like how can I be so dumb oh my gosh like the one thing that you actually need out here I left at home not a boy so while my big rods are out we're going to take a little Glassman a jig right here and we're going to toss it around we got a chance to catch anything on this last minute jig and see how calm the water is today anytime the water is super calm like this I like to throw this glass in a smaller profile and they tend to bite it better and if I were going to use something big like a spoon and so we're just going to cast and see if we can get into something oh my gosh look at that Stingray literally right here at the tip of my rod look at them he's just two there he goes oh man so I would encourage you anytime you set rig fish always be casting because you never know when you're going to get into a good school of uh mackerel or Reds or jacks or whatever man oh oh they're blowing up now they're in range they're in range they're in range come on uh oh come on there we go there we go nice nice I was like I gotta get one at that school dad come here buddy oh that's a decent fish here guys nice Spanish heck yeah that's an eater right there beautiful Spanish right here keeper size we're gonna take this guy home such a cool fish all right where'd they go they're right here they're right here they're still blowing up got to get it out a little further ah oh my gosh I just messed up just missed them oh we chasing it he's chasing it oh misty golly there's quite a few nice Spanish out here oh there he is got it nice we're on them baby come on oh come on come on come on definitely gonna keep some of these guys for dinner another nice Spanish right here folks getting a little mess of them got a switch glass mini jigs here the Spanish have done kind of torn this one to Pieces so we're going to put a fresh one on I'm using a 40 pound mono leader now Spanish do have some serious teeth when you're working this Glassman a jig fast you don't tend to get a ton of brake off and they eat it better than if you were doing steel so we're gonna stick with mono we may lose a jig or two where'd they go I don't see them now okay oh there's a bite there's a bite there's a bite come on go go go go go go go we got him we got him pure cart beach cart rod holder worked great I think this is going to be an Atlantic sharp nose so it's okay [Applause] come on buddy I don't know maybe a bull red too who knows yeah here we go there there it is come on buddy get up here get up here nice black nose shark right here pretty cool catch we're gonna release him try to get another one here we go look at him go sweet another big hunk of bait going out right here so far the pier cart rod holder is doing okay I don't know how long that's going to last I don't know what's going to happen if I hang a giant all right here we go holy cow there's a giant school of fish out here holy cow massive lot of fish coming this way and I don't know what it is but they're huge they're huge it may be jacks oh that's a big school of fish I don't know what it is oh he's chasing it big giant jacks holy cow giant Jackson Reds I mean Mega jacks oh my gosh come on come on come on come on come on come on come on come on oh he didn't chase it that time they're not eating well I got this small profile jig on and I need a big one Doug of it Brent they're coming down here now I'm gonna rig up I gotta put a heavier jig on we're gonna get stripped throwing this x right wrap on this little Rod but I got all my big rods set out for big fish so all right nothing I can do about it I got it there he is we're old we're old baby I told you that is so sick man I immediately put that bigger profile bait on it hooked a beast dude I may get stripped I've got all my big rods set out for uh set Rig fishing so this is all I had what am I gonna do come on oh my goodness I'm just gonna let him fight man I'm just gonna let him fight and if he starts to take omelette out then we're just gonna uh tighten down on him holy cow I'm gonna have to go ahead and start tightening down when you hang a big fish like this on light tackle it's really about all about how you fight them and sometimes if you can just hold them here they're gonna get mad he's getting mad like this but I think there's gonna be a time in a minute where he gives up all right nonetheless we got this y'all we're speaking this into existence so I like to hold them here when you hold them it wears them out and that's what I'm doing right now but it's gonna get the job done here oh he's coming in so we're getting a lot of line back that's good yes yes look at him right there Big Jack go ball come on there we go we got him there we go check out what a jack on light tackle so sick let's release this guy so cool man awesome catch oh he's ready to go almost on the beach and chill for a second or at least I'm gonna try to pretty little starfish that I found it's such a beautiful day here in Pensacola we've had like three or four good bites already see if I can get some fresh bait would love oh there's another bite golly man he just hit it again there we go there we go there we go come on oh yeah oh yeah that's better fish there there we go baby oh he's coming in I think it's a better one whoa it's not a giant but I don't think it's a bad one definitely heavier than the last fish unless he's just messing with me right now I can tell you this the bite is on this morning guys these baits are staying out here for like two seconds ah there it is another black nose that was just a fighter just a fighter a bigger black nose and these black nose are everywhere that's a definite bigger one nice black nose shark right here let's release him getting back in come on buddy you got this so we go let's go let's go nice try to cast for those Spanish again that was cool oh there's a fish oh right there Ollie nice one nice one guy I hung him right there by the beach get on up here buddy oh he came off man that was a nice Spanish there dang let's see if there there was a skull of them I kept getting hit oh there's a fish there's a fish okay there we go it's a Spanish mackerel check it out y'all nice Spanish mackerel now we are not allowed to use those for bait so I am going to have to release it or keep it whatever I want to do oh we just got a hit Milan of slack I can tell we just got a hit did I just get cut off dang dude oh I'm on I'm on holy cow I was on I was on he was running in with it there you go okay it's crazy got me a nice Spanish right there and as I was fighting him we got him we got a bite yeah he tore that bait to Pieces all right we're gonna get another one out there ah so much action I'm not getting any time to relax here another good bait out wouldn't have time guys to put more than one rod out anyway because of how much action we're getting today so it's kind of working out okay yo I just had something awful happen to me my Shark reel went off was running after the shark reel and I completely ripped my my calf muscle to the point where I can't uh I can't walk on it right now one of the worst tears I've ever had I don't know how I'm gonna get back I'm going to have to get back just like limping it's ridiculous we got a quarter mile to go oh one leg using our beach cart kind of as a crutch this is uh I look like an idiot and my whole leg is turning blue at the moment but we're gonna make it I ripped my leg to Pieces man oh dude oh yeah I don't know barely walk on it better walk without the card I can pull it back for you you know it's it's given me some support okay so I appreciate it though thank you thank you yeah me too a bunch of Spanish mackerel right down there if y'all if y'all want some action we are headed to get that leg checked out right now Melanie is holding the camera and I was able to hobble back to my truck using my beach card at cart as support so uh thankfully I was able to get back but I still can't walk on it it is official they said that I've torn my calf I've got crutches and yeah I got to stay off of it for a while that means no fishing so we'll see how long that lasts thank you guys for watching that video I know that was wild it was crazy we had a lot of action on the beach had a little drama
