Exploring A 200 Year Old Abandoned Mansion

[Music] today i'm taking you into the deep south to explore a place unlike anything i've ever seen from the elaborate details of the woodwork to the grand staircase to the rumors of it being one of the south's most haunted mansions this historic home is an absolute marvel with many secrets hidden within its walls from what i know of this mansion the original structure was allegedly built 200 years ago but was ornately finalized in the early hundreds the home sold for only a little over ninety thousand dollars in 2012 and it's since been abandoned unfortunately the town that it's located in has one of the highest crime rates in america statistically 1 in 13 are likely to be the victim of a violent crime here needless to say i was a little on edge during this exploration but as always my curiosity took me inside so join me to explore some of the secrets lying within the four walls of this most unique mansion [Music] [Music] look at this house what a beauty she's old but she's still standing become nature's just reclaiming this oh god can't step on this porch about to fall through it's this is soggy as far as i can go sorry guys look at all this architecture close attention to detail i love the colors by the way so uh so fancy look at this moss like algae growing on these stairs it's a pretty nice kitchen stainless steel appliances still left here so it looked like they updated the kitchen once upon a time it's like a little pantry area a lot of storage in old houses like this this is the old dining room imagine there's a big dining room table here at one point i love how high these ceilings are oh my god these colors are amazing oh my god look at this fireplace this is all tile like a blue tile i like the blue and gold and this is a funky room i can just imagine lounging in this area right here next to the window reading a book it's a fire going drinking a cup of coffee so far the fireplaces have been amazing we've only seen two now on the chandelier all the curtains are still in the window so this right here is the front porch look how overgrown it's becoming all the detail on this place again tile with a golden fireplace so here's the front door look at all this mail it's like years of mail being delivered right through the door slot here so this is when you walk in the front door could you imagine just coming home to this house old victorian style furniture still left even the glass work on these doors is just amazing this is crazy look at this old furniture that would work it's just left here left behind it's an entire matching set look at these huge columns out front oh my god and look at this this is my favorite part of the house i've never seen stained glass window inside of a house but this one has it this is hands down one of the best mansions i've ever seen yo this is crazy crazy someone's bedroom all this furniture just left behind an old radio so far there's a fireplace in every room i wonder what's in these drawers got some gin got some rum some vodka definitely looks like someone stayed here probably squatting in this house at one point got a closet got some clothes in here what do we got what do we got it's all men's clothes holy this is a tuxedo what yo look at this someone just left their tuxedo in here this is kind of sad i love doing this i love just like coming into a spot like this and just treasure hunting see what all is back here it looks like some family photos here hidden deep within the closet i wonder if it was made it's kind of a memorial for someone who died oh yikes a bathroom with carpet that's kind of cool over the shower like that so this is the bathroom and there's a refrigerator in here and a stove in the bathroom with carpet what so i'm going back out toward the dining room now i'm ready to go upstairs and see what's up there wow whoa this room is yellow again a really cool fireplace with like some psychedelic looking tile on this oh my god this room oh my god this painting it's all just still here again just an amazing tile fireplace mantel what's sad though is as i'm walking around i'm seeing a lot of water damage so check this out that's a hole in the ceiling you can literally see light coming through once water comes in through the ceiling it's only a matter of time that this building just falls apart we have a purple room ah with a yellow fireplace this is the only fireplace so far that doesn't have the golden um you know fireplace area someone painted it white which i actually really like i love the color of this room whoa look at this fireplace mantel wow i wonder if this was the uh master bedroom it's the only one with a super ornate fireplace mantle and it's the only bedroom so far that has a balcony this would work white tile on this i love these colors i love the white with the wood it's so classic super clean so here's their personal bathroom i imagine this is the master bathroom there's a lot of clothes in here it's probably the master comforter it used to go on the bed that was in there it's all women's clothes but look at this there's like some like fancy dresses in here looks you know kind of grandma-y but um grandma can be cool i look above me and there's this amazing chandelier in the bathroom still hairspray down here wonder if it still sprays yeah oh man look at this clawfoot tub that's dope oh i see where we're at this is the other side of that stained glass at the top of the stairs man looks like this used to be an exercise room we got a treadmill back here and i forgot what these things are called one of those man the ceiling ceiling's getting bad on this place man this is this is crazy it's all abandoned all this mold on the on the carpet this place is taking a lot of water in what's up guys jeremy
