Dynasty's Liz Gillies Sings Her Way Through Our Expensive Taste Test | Cosmopolitan

hey i'm liz gillies and i am playing the expensive taste test with cosmo i think i'm gonna do a good job and i'll be very embarrassed if i do a bad job [Music] i have two curling irons here similar in weight this one looks more fun which oddly leads me to believe it's less expensive because i feel like it's tricking me with the nice translucent section that it has going on this one looks really serious it looks professional it looks like it's ready to curl in a less fun way i'm gonna go with the serious one yeah oh yay i use a curling iron to do my hair several times a week and my curling iron is really cheap so i'm proud of myself for being able to tell that this one was expensive [Music] i have two microphones here i've never used either of these microphones or microphones that look anything like this but they're very pretty we have a pinkish one sort of rose gold and then we have this gold one that happens to be heavier this one is falling apart in my hand i'm not trying to out it but those are the innards of the microphone and it's literally falling apart in my hand so i'm feeling like just because of that i want to give it to the gold but if it's this one that's like an oscar-worthy performance this mic was willing to put its life on the line to trick me but i'm going to say the gold because i'm scared to keep touching this one goal oh i'd sing you a song if it would only turn on [Music] one of these is 150 and the other is eight that's a huge difference this one i'll be really embarrassed if i get wrong okay i'm going to open look at me i'm like a beauty blogger i'm going to open this one now a really neutral scent i don't want to get this wrong because i'm such a skincare i probably can't say that but maybe you can bleep it okay that's really i like that one i like it and let's try this one maybe this one will blow my mind this is totally different this one almost feels like hold on i have to smell it first before i speak this smells like lemere i think absolutely the purple is more expensive i'm so happy is it lemaire i kind of feel bad for knowing that this is lemaire upon first touching it and if i want to go a step further i could tell you which cream it was but i feel like i'm starting to sound like an so let's just move on [Music] two pairs of glasses i think these feel like glasses cases i think they're glasses i don't know the brand let's open these guys up this i'm probably gonna get wrong because i will buy glasses anywhere i go i'll buy them on a boardwalk i'll buy them on at cvs i don't really care if i need glasses and i need my face covered but i'm buying glasses here's the first work that's great listen no matter how this rolls out i'm gonna keep these glasses in the end so it's all good for these glasses okay that's number one number two very different these are more expensive hold on i was about to say they're more expensive but it could be that trick again where things look rainbowy and translucent to make you think they're a little more special let me feel these ones one more time i will say the case for this one was more interesting and it was lined with a more expensive material than this one god oh god okay okay okay i'm just gonna i'm just gonna go with these i don't know i'm gonna go with the translucent ones the dark ones and i fell in love with them you see i didn't trust it and i should have trust the process because the ones that look better on me i'm a little embarrassed but i am keeping these glasses [Music] scarf time this could go either way too i should know this though this should be something that i you know should be able to figure out she's softer don't ask me why i'm gonna smell it but i'm gonna smell it okay okay this smells a little bit like something and this smells like nothing and that makes me think this one's more expensive yay i'm back on i'm back on let's try the scarf on because you know we're here maybe it works okay it doesn't work at all but it is now on my body i take it off [Music] this is the one i was really really afraid of because i am a water snob i really am everyone knows it about me it tastes disgusting i'll be so embarrassed if that's a good one i'll be so embarrassed if that's the good one okay you know it's an important moment what's happening right now because i am having a hard time no i can't swallow this one it has to be this one oh thank god [Music] okay now we have two hats they're totally different styles of hats that's hard okay well let's just try them on oh i love this is a great look you know i wore a hat like this for like four years straight no one ever saw the top of my head you know what that was about i kind of miss it now this feels good even though it's not this you know firm more wintry hat i mean do you hear that which is impressive obviously but this feels good let's try on the next one oh wow she showed up to work too this looks awesome oh my god i don't know i actually don't know this one i don't know one of them is 16 this is a teachable moment one of these fierce stunning hats is 16 you could either get a sandwich that day and like a side of fruit and a drink or you could buy a hat that you could wear for four years like i did that's amazing i feel like this is a trick i feel like this is a trap i don't know what to do i think this one is cheaper i think i'm wrong am i wrong oh [Music] the real moment of truth liquid liner i'm assuming it's liquid liner it's liquid liner right worrisome shape i'm gonna be honest about it this shape traditionally skews cheaper i don't mean cheap it just means cheaper this is the shape of a lot of mine praying to the liner gods right now let's try them out i don't know i'm doing like a perfect eye i mean it's really unnecessary here's the first one good glide okay let's see how the second one feels she's a she's a felt tip the first one was a brush that's interesting she's really she bleeds she bleeds she bleeds okay so listen for what it's worth i pick the first one that's the one i'd use they're really different see how much so this is way darker but look at that i don't like that when it does that it does the shine i'm so sorry i guarantee you this is like a really cool brand and i guarantee this is more expensive one but bled it bled into my you see okay listen i picked the first one but i know i know the one that bled onto my hand and the one that's a felt tip is more expensive funny shape is cheaper and i bet it's like sephora or something like their generic brand because this guy a lot of these higher end liners and the ones that are more expensive they bleed and they're too wet and they're too shiny and this bottom one is perfect and it's not moving [Music] okay this is my last one these are eye gels i wear them a lot in my normal life i i'm told one of them is one dollar and the other is three let's try them okay you know these look a little bit like the ones i wear in my life in the morning they have a good grip even over 30 pounds of makeup which is always nice they feel good they do have these little like flex fun moving on came with three in case you have three eyes and i think that's cool these gold ones are super slippery look it looks like gold leaf but is that a trick you know what i mean we're back to the thing where it's like is it tricking me no interest in how these feel just side note i don't know but they do have gold leaf i'm gonna go with these are one dollar i got it wrong this time gold one wow thank you guys so much for watching please watch dynasty friday nights at 9pm on the
