Dragon's Dogma 2 - How to Unlock ALL Vocations At Level 1 EARLY & FAST - Vocation Location Guide!

hello and welcome finally to the launch of Dragons Dogma 2 I am very lucky to say that I've been able to play the game a little early and with that early experience we're planning on making videos about the questions we had ourselves naturally the number one question I had was all about vocations in the first days you know how do you actually unlock them as you can see I've unlocked every vocation you can in the original game that's nine of the 10 total you'll find that's because the 10th appears to be tied to a kind of New Game Plus mechanic but I can happily tell you without spoilers how to unlock everything else in your first playthrough in fact you could try and get all of these unlocked at level one if you were just like desperate to do so though that's far from needed even when you're focused on a specific one so let's cover each vocation unlock and how and also the suggested plan if you were to go straight for it all right so we're going to kick things off with the obvious choice of warrior and sorcerer which will'll be unlocking at the same time together which is very convenient and to do it you just need to come here where I'm standing in ver worth this is the first major capital city that you will come to as part of the main story you begin the game here in this North section of the map and quickly make your way through one settlement down to another called Mel as you progress the main story you'll be led from Mel via escort through the gate which then allows you to access kind of the full game as soon as you've done that you're free to go after whatever vocation you want and as part of that main story you very likely will use a car in the end to go to the capital city of verw worth once you're here you make your way through the center through the merchant quarter and come to the verw worth vocation Guild from the kind of Main statue you're just coming up towards the kind of church building and going under rather than up and here is the vocation Guild upon speaking with clous you'll learn that you cannot use the warrior and sorcerer vocation because they're lacking on equipment he'll simply request that you go recover the equipment you'll need to go find a warrior great sword and a sorcerer staff and yet they're both in the same location kind of stolen by some goblins as will be marked on your map you're going to need to come here to Trevor mine Trevor mine is just Northwest of the actual City and you can just cross the bridge and head straight there it will take like 2 minutes it's no problem upon entry of the trevo mine you're basically going to be looking for two specific chests to loot one will have the warrior great sword one will have the sorcerer staff and as soon as you have those you're done technically you could just run through there and go loot the chests as quick as you can if you want to avoid combat entirely though obviously it's well worth fighting everything either way the chests are found in two different rooms just scour the mine until you find them loot them and return straight back to the city so once you hand in the Great Sword and the Sorcerer each one will be unlocked you will need to go to the change vocation tab with Marcus himself or any vocation Guild and spend a little bit of discipline points to unlock it you will be given a kind of starter set to at least get you going but I would recommend you visit say any of the equipment vendors even here in town and just buying something better to work with thankfully though these two are very straightforward and now your main porn can also use these vocations next up then we have the vocation that I'm currently playing and just maxed out that's mystic spear hand this is a hybrid vocation which means only the reason can actually use it and it's quite straightforward to unlock as well to keep the guide as spoiler-free as possible I will describe a couple things in a vague way but it should be completely fine for you to follow all you really need to do is progress the main story it'll bring you to verw worth and before long it'll say Hey you know maybe go check on melv again as soon as you do that Mel will be actually under attack it's going to be getting attacked by this kind of mini dragon that you need to deal enough damage to until it runs away my advice for this is to Target the kind of glowing pushes when you deal enough damage them they pop and that deals a nice bit of damage you notice during this fight that there's an interesting character helping you defend that is zigger and he is the Mystic spear hand Master once you deal enough damage the dragon will run away and you can speak to Zig after the fight and it is literally that easy he'll teach you the vocation the moment that he sees you fight and goes hey yeah you could learn this technically I think it's possible to meet him at his more permanent locations but it's very likely you'll have to prove yourself by fighting say this dragon with him so I can't recommend that so as soon as it's suggested return to M do so as it heads up the Mystic spear hand just like every vocation when you get it you'll get a kind of starting set but the weapon and the equipment that you use with this set is pretty rare on this side of the world it wasn't until coming to the Southwest the actual desert and going to the city of B patal that I could actually buy some better equipment for Mystic spear hand so fair warning on that next up then we have the trickster which is weirdly really easy as I'll explain there are two ways to get to the trickster and there's kind of a main path which you'll likely do but if you really want to get this unlocked quick there is a faster way I'll explain to unlock the the trickster vocation you need to come to the reverent Shrine which as you can see is on the kind of northern eastern point of the Batali desert region this is just south of the checkpoint town where the Border actually is and you are unable to actually cross this border at least here without an entry permit that allows you to cross that border it's fortunately very simple to actually acquire this you just complete the main story in verw worth until Captain Brandt realizes to solve the issue you're currently having in the main story you're going to need to go to the desert region so he prepares this entry permit and just gives it to you however you're going to need to be a beast or at least appear to be one the permit is only for bean types so if you're a human like me you're going to need to purchase one of these masks which are not exactly expensive in the Border Town that you actually pass through that wall to get to the next region there are a few different Merchants you can speak to the ones with the backpacks on as you can see they actually sell these different kind of masks of concealment or Bean masks to hide your identity so all you need to do is wear one of these while you're about to pass through you just have to show them the P you've been given and you should pass through with no problem once you pass through you can continue to head south and work your way down the main road until at one point you need to come to the east side where you'll go to where you'll find the reverence Shrine here you're going to find a kind of magical looking Oracle who will speak with you and if you pay her 50 gold she'll give you useful advice on whatever main quest step that you're currently on and honestly the advice is pretty helpful at different points especially if you're unsure so I'd strongly recommend you come and do this if you ever need to but after you do speak with her she will just kind of randomly unlock the trickster vocation for you it really is that easy however if you're wanting to do this a lot sooner maybe you're wanting to play the game as a trickster you don't want to have to wait until you progress the main story quite IR relevant amount at least to get to this point so fortunately there is an alternative way where you can kind of avoid the border and just run through there at level one if you really wanted to just following this route taking the main road to the West eventually you'll cross the bridge and before continuing further to the checkpoint town you just start to head South heading through this new region and kind of following the main road all the way until you come down to the new City the second capital city of back Patel then from the city we can exit to the west and work our way up the main rout until eventually we come around to where the reverence Shrine is just from the south side instead so if you desperate to play trickster and get it unlocked as fast as possible that is an alternative way next up we have the magic Archer which as a hybrid VOC just like trickster and Mystic spear hand can only be used by you the Arisen in any case this one's kind of a weird one it's quite late in the game pretty far from the starting point essentially however it's technically possible to run all the way to it but you will need to complete an escort Quest and there is technically a requirement to have prepared when you get there that requirement is to have three of these common herbs referred to as wild plants there are a bunch of Kinds like green warish is the one you pick up even in the starting area but as you can see there's a few different ones you just need three of any of these honestly on the way you probably end up without even thinking about it picking up a few of them the reason that you need that is because you're going to meet the husband of the magic Archer who's going to teach you the vocation and you need to treat him well the location of the magic Archer then is here at the wind Walker's home if I zoom out you can see that that's pretty far south it's in fact southeast of back batal but where you really need to go is roughly here on this marker the road on the way to that house that's where you're going to meet a dwarf who's kind of hurt his back and he just needs some wild plants to kind of help ease the pain provide him with those three and he'll really appreciate it and say hey come to my house and I'll give you a reward you're going to find that they live on a very pretty secluded house that's because the wife of this little dwarf is actually an elf and it is the magic Arch we're looking for so by offering to escort the dwarf to the nearby Hot Springs to kind of help him sooth his back that's how you convince the magic Archer that you're actually maybe an okay person and then they'll teach you as part of that escort Quest then you just kind of follow this main road I recommend holding South you'll hit a campsite on the way and just progress through here the road can be pretty dangerous especially if you're going to do this lower level so I'd recommend picking up the dwarf and running with him at tighter spots in any case you'll head to the east to the volcanic island Camp up some wood platforms you'll come through a cave section and that's where the hot springs are once you bring him here he'll be really happy and he'll go you know use them it'll be revealed that the magic Archer wife was following you the whole time cuz she was very nervous but she sees that you were genuine and helpful and for that she would just teach you the vocation you'll get the magic Archer also because she's the magic Archer master and you've just done something that really helped your relationship with her she'll just give you the master technique right there and then that's what happened for me so a pretty good way to start with this vocation now obviously to get down to the South Point here where this all takes place you will need to come through the desert region which as I've just explained with a tricks to vocation means you're going to need to come through the checkpoint rest town and pass by the border via the main story if you didn't watch that section in short you come to the checkpoint town and from a vendor you buy a beast ran mask if you are not playing a beast yourself and also progress the main story to the point where Captain Brandt is like you need to go to the Western desert region so here's an entry permit you need to be a beast run for that permit to work and that's why you buy the mask pass through the Border head south and then you can get there alternatively again from verw worth there's a way to avoid the Border by just doing a long run by heading Northwest along the main road and heading west until you cross the water at the bridge instead of continuing on to the checkpoint town you follow this path that goes down south through a completely different region and just Sprint your way through there until you come to the desert city passing through there and just like that you've avoided the Border be aware that as you come through this section you will have to go through what's called The drabn Grotto which is like a cave maze but honestly if you just stay in the center lane head down and through I didn't really ever go off the main path and eventually just came out the other side so it's no problem and so that's the five unlockable V locations that you can get and how to do it hi there hello it's me taking over from Mr Hollow for just a moment to talk Warf farer because yes you can unlock it very early on and indeed just in general how do you unlock it for those of you that want to know now it is fairly late and basically spoiler warning if you don't want to see anything I'm about to show you it's nothing crazy I will say like there's nothing like how could you but you know it's it's uh fair to offer you that chance to turn away but 3 2 1 okay so you have been watching this lovely vocation guide so you have seen magic Archer at codna here on this island so you can run here from back Patel as you have also seen crossing over drabn Grotto and getting into this island as early as level one you can just straight up run down here so what you want to do is follow this path and eventually you will reach a little town at the volcanic island Camp within this Camp you want to come here there's a little ladder and then you walk down here to the hot springs where you will find a man called lamond now lemond is this chap here and he is your Warf farer vocation master so what you have to do to actually get him to teach you how to be a Warf farer is give him three bottles of rare n liquor now I've only found three bottles in the entirety of the game scouring everything so yeah it is quite the unlock and if you don't want to know where to get them because again prenti spoilers I will give you three two one okay so the three bottles then the first is easy enough it is just on a table in windw Walker's home where codner is on this island as soon as you're allowed inside from helping the dwarf husband you are good to grab it the other two are both in batal the first is sold to you by a sneaky Shady Merchant who'll walk up to you and offer you a chance to purchase one for some gold around here he does wander around a little bit so just check generally these roads at different times of day and you will grab one this well the third then is in the Forbidden magic research lab it's on the lower floors with all of the various Laboratories and then one of them will just be filled with soran Tales marinate in jars and on the side in there is your third bottle of n liquor so with that all said and done then yeah that is your Warf farer I will now pass you back to aforementioned Mr Hollow but there you have it that's the vocations and how to unlock them it is weird how they're kind of strangely balanced some are so easy to get and then some are just really far away and require even some main story progression if you're not wanting to do a really long run but at least knowing where they are will help you out and if there's any you want to
