Down To The 360 Level Old Abandoned Base Metal Mine

supposed to be medium-sized fairly old mine and I've heard that there's a place where we hit water and we can't go any further but we're gonna take a look and check it out is this where you said you saw the drift that finishes out right there roll up on this so is there any more drift here we can we can take this here huh man way down to 140 level al we're on the 80 level okay a little water intrusion there yeah yeah go ahead we should be taking pictures we've come down that and almost at the bottom is at the bottom okay we got air flow Trax not not as well groomed as the other stuff I've been doing recently in fact this is like labor-intensive this is not a DEA compliant do we want to go buy this we're seeing there yeah you mean it's uh it's dampening out the there's no reverb there's no right it's that fault gouge stuff and it's like caving in on me as we're talking not hard rock ok this is the other direction oh here we go that's looking nice nice reverb to this camera has really good stereo imaging yeah this the yeah the microphones imaging if you listen to this and good headphones you actually yeah you you actually feel like you're in the tunnel some stalls down there a little bridge here light paint when you bring a tripod or wet okay yeah I'd like to get a picture of this to the low or shoot right there yeah let me just check out up here real quick which it looks like it just kind of gets deeper and shallower there okay here it looks like you could you could weasel your way down through there we didn't see a man way here did we okay picture time okay this is looking up she steps up to the mic and we hear she's about to make a very profound statement got this little bridge right here what did you find oh we have some stowage Oh check this out definitely see what looks like a vein there it's kind of weird and go down very far you know okay let's go over here and have a look [Music] for what this is a rather unique operation there's not a lot of drifting it's kind of like one of those what I would call Swiss cheese type mines you know and did we finish this level out you want to go for the bottom and then kind of work your way back up okay they are rock solid ladders yeah they are rock solid can you see the bottom okay stand by alright this is where we just came down from actually that's about what 30 feet down into that platform and you can see there's an old ladder here and it looks like it was upgraded at some point and that looks old right there oh yeah there's the bottom you're right it does look like another platform a lot of ladders in here not much drifting huh you're kind of off on this little thing here we got there really I have the fine imports deep in here okay do you want me to continue down you you're getting a little sketched yeah yep all right come on down just power through just power through a baby the limousine with the bed in the back and the ambulance is waiting right outside and actually I forgot to say that we are not the guinea pig on this there's been other people down here so yeah so that's why we're not roped up usually we would be roped up on something like this if there was any doubt but no they are guinea pig one two guinea pig - I know looks good huh we got this is this actually looks like it might be something yeah okay so we got drift going that way with track we got a drift going this way with track and I might leave my bag here we can get our guinea pig on all right look at this is this the yeah rail strap this is what they put on top of two-by-fours for cheap below budget rail here we got a split here I wonder if they took that to get down to the next level I don't a lot of stowage above us you see this so this does it finish out right here it keeps going that finishes out right there oh man I didn't have the camera rolling for that that was good that board started to go out from under you why don't you push that down yeah that way someone else doesn't step on it and yeah yeah I don't like to do that but that could someone else could hit that in the next person yeah so just to clarify this flat metal in lower budget operations I believe or maybe harder to get to they would put two by fours on the floor four to run the cars on and they would put this on top of the two by fours to make like a makeshift rail if they weren't using solid metal rail like this is solid metal rail right here or is this is it or is it on top oh no it is real right okay so you want to go let's go down here okay so here here it transitions to the metal on wood yeah it looks like almost like they retreat retreat mine some of this where they they pulled the track up and then dug down okay I think we're going to need to get the cameras out trash grizzly they're dynamite magazine old-school style look at this the actual oh it's caved right there or backfilled they actually turned the corner here with yeah that looks like it you want to go up there and see if you it actually does look like it it came down from above okay we're gonna see if we can get around that cave-in and that's a negatory it finishes right there okay we're back at the manway and we're getting it we're opting for low-hanging fruit here we don't want to go and crawl through anything at this point haulage shaft that finishes out finishes out oh that looks like a Oh batteries okay okay so we got multi directions we got a direction there does that seem to go that is really interesting colored false floor oh dude I see what you mean yeah this oh look at the color holy crap oh wow Wow that's the old-school ladder look at that you're not going any further here oh yeah finishes out but whoo baby you would not want this false floor to go bye-bye yeah this is this is uh this is kind of death --is-- right here just kind of skating on the edge what I mean by false floor is this is yeah it's a wood with rock on top of it yeah it sounds like ooh yeah right there nice space that's right okay back at the junction we're making the next right you want to show up there and is there an arrow there that says out really is that the mean haulage you see light okay so there's the cactus and we'll go up here solid hardrock this is just just as hard as it gets to keep going finishes out okay look at there's some water damage here like it leaks must leak in right there in heavy rain or something well they told me it was a pretty big mind this false for this must be this must be the hall it's shaft do we have some rock do it some we can no get the bigger one there yeah okay hold on okay what we want to do is shut up for a second this is where you want to have headphones on right here okay so we'll shut up when it's totally silent let it rip that's pretty cool I heard it I heard the air behind it really okay silent silent silent be quiet okay go ahead nice base hit yeah no we didn't go this way gotta go this way yep and then there's our ladder that go down down to 300 level work the levels on this thing are like 60 feet nice and straight yeah like that up for me down there at the bottom rolls right out here you want to check this out what's that yeah I know so this is like the fault right here right they stoped it out pretty good right yeah little gift for future generations to find okay this is the 300 level 300 level and looks like we got a drift there with tracks and over here we got a little ladder up into a Stolp and we got a nice clean drift going that way with tracks - how you doing there yeah it gets a little bit shaky here should put on nightfever or something okay 300 level here we come need to get a picture of that for sure I didn't see it that's interesting we have water that falls for okay dude yes it is a false floor feel it holy crap not good and you know the thing is is by looking at that you would never even know so it's an interesting thing I'll check this out a carbine check out all the bugs this is there like a darkest two dead rats where where's the dead rats oh yeah so this is the main this is the main shaft oh yeah I got a crawl up in there and get some video there it is oh yeah you can see right outside you can see the sky what a yeah okay but where are the rocks we threw down what dead tarantulas oh yeah yeah they're all dehydrated okay so the shaft station has completely been removed okay so this is come on yeah this is the false floor I'm not quite sure I know it is it is as false as fall skits so you would think this is the bottom so is this the continuation to go down to the next level danger open hole yeah exactly is that that's it oh yeah lithium polymer lithium ion they're violent when they burn there okay so this is down to we're assuming what the 400 so it's weird this mine has been in 60 foot intervals and that's the next ladder going down and over here we got these kind of cool Stokes here and we look straight up we're gonna light this up real nice right here you can see there's midair ladder and a false floor up there we've encountered a lot of false floors in this mine it's a little bit a little bit different this has been a very interesting mind this is there's no it no real equipment or no real features in here it's just different how would you describe it different small yeah chutes and ladders right we'll see you guys at the we'll see on the next level down I guess say that again about your muscles oh okay I'll start why were you shaking going down it yeah yeah I've dealt with that before but I think I'm past it at this point it's gonna take me five minutes to put everything away are you okay all right okay this is a 360 level we got an interesting fix two dead back there right in the middle of the ladder yeah let's go take a look at this level 360 level go this way first this goes sounds like more false for man this thing has a hell of a lot of false floors in it okay interesting they were still dropping it down and then pulling it up it looks awful but where were they pulling it up because the level above me was the bottom of them the bottom of the haulage shaft or at least it appeared that way so let's go this way getting really kind of damp and dank in here the deeper down we get twisty-turny ooh poor ventilation well I got my oxygen meter here so we'll find out here's another one of those slip plates okay that finishes out right there okay got some drill holes here and yeah you can see the track is getting real rusty there this looks like this finishes out and I'm not interested in going any further that's kind of interesting yeah I don't like this I'm hearing I'm hearing some extremely low base hits I don't like this okay I'll come back past the poor ventilation and there's some interesting Stokie area here and I don't know if the cameras showing the little spark leaves in this rock almost looks like quartz and that hair is growing out of it again in fact that's what that sparkly czar it's that gypsum fuzz or whatever that is some type of mineralization I don't I don't like this I keep hearing some ultra-low-frequency thuds like right at the bottom of what I can hear and alright I'm back to the escape ladder let's go this direction look at this head of windlass there a hand crank you can see the vane up there alright continuing on down this drift here's another slick plate goes that we got a bunch of tires down here what the oh okay so that shaft that we found on the level above where the dead tarantula was the haulage halfed obviously someone decided they would come out here and use it to dump dump you know let's dump our old tires down the mineshaft since their hazmat to the max so there you go this is this is a shaft right here that goes to the top the haulage heft aha there you go that makes sense now p1 95 75 or 15 yep someone decided they would plug the shaft with old tires hey this is going the other direction okay looks like this is caved right here in the line so that's it I don't see a way down below this okay so here I'm back - yeah this is shaft let's see a so I found the shaft and it is plugged we're standing on a plug and it's plugged with tires it's plugged with a hundred feet of tires okay so this is kind of weird I pretty much finished this level the 360 level and I don't find anything going down any lower and I came back and that bat is gone so very strange I wanted to get a picture of the bat the bat is gone all right I'm gonna pack up and we're gonna head out I know we've been in here about three hours or so four hours but maybe we'll get something on the way out all right so we have a little modern addition here to make this mine social-media compliant okay and just to make sure that people know we have the guardian of the open hole just to make sure we're safe stop o matic I don't know but there's an air pipe here and there's nice piece of metal there Wow how do you like to walk out on that stopa licious okay so we got a up here lots of stupid gin here some kind of a cool or shoot there oh boy this keeps going for a ways just go straight first does that does that finish out okay I like stick a layer okay so that yeah this right here it's a piece of metal is a slick sheet so they can rotate the or cards just roll them onto that flat piece of metal there and spin them around like a low-budget low budgets which doesn't seem stale to me did finishes out right here anyway yeah this is that crappy back to our low-budget switch that looks like that goes split here that finishes out this is kind of interesting here's the bottom of a false floor that's it right it finishes out right there so this is a this big big hard rock kind of Stoke it's a cold room yeah check this out there's I guess it's gypsum you know the hair that grows out of the yeah there's hair growing out of this whole ceiling alright we're on our way up and we decided to take a little break and look at this ladder the wear on it and I knew this was an old mine and show us those we have some square nails here that doesn't look square to me oh yeah so what time period did you say up to what I think it's prior to 1890 but I can't remember those specifics anymore yeah so this this thing does go back a little ways and let's see so when we get up to that level right there we didn't finish that out we need to find where the connects to the haulage shaft okay I forget what level this is there's what one level above us and then we're out but check out check that out right there I don't know if we saw that Wow look at the safety issues look at that nice big rock right there sitting on that old raw timber oh baby yeah that finished out right there so on this level we gotta try and find the shaft like this Oh pause Oh stow hold on it's not that deep it's only deep enough to kill you but you know it's not that bad oh there she is see what she has to say push on her she'll say something really intellectual yeah there you go let's see go ahead oh yeah she's ready no this was where it just kept getting thinner and thinner and thinner you think yeah actually it does it's a long way from here though yeah cut and fill okay here's a type of bench we did not take this we did not take this route well that's kind of cool what's the point of it though is that it does this finish out oh yeah that square nails too a little bit this level may have never connected to the shaft it might have been or passed down from here down below lower and then picked up on a station below us you know another thing I was thinking about about the the 60-foot levels at some point and we could look this up it yes it is because at some point it was standardised mining was standardized 200-foot levels yes this is an old mine yeah well we got sixty feet to go
