hi everyone welcome back to my channel and in today's video as you can tell by the title it is going to be how to lighten and brighten your hair without bleach or high-lift colors or basically without chemicals this is how to lighten your hair with basic products that most of you will probably have in your house or kitchen right now all right now I do have to say this isn't for someone that say is brunette and you're going to get this blonde like that that you can't do naturally with the botannical and natural products it's just it's not gonna happen so obviously you'd be the judge of how much lightness you really want to bring to your hair but I'm gonna start with the one that will give you the least so this is basically if you just kind of want a little bit of shimmer to your hair and that is with lemon and I know that I've touched on this and done a chelating video in the past and chelating is amazing I definitely recommend lemon juice lemon juice has been known to clarify and brighten everything basically it will brighten your nails you know people that have been coloring their nails for a very long time and their nails start to look yellow robbing them with a little bit of a lemon juice will absolutely brighten and whiten your nails in just the same way it will do so with your hair so a great way to do it is really to just spritz the lemon on wet hair kind of live rub it through let it sit for about five minutes then rinse and shampoo your hair and condition as normal or another way which I used to do this religiously in high school and I think that that is why my ends were so light and naturally and I have a video on my basically hair story I will link that below if you haven't seen that yet but basically I would do this religiously in high school and I think that my hair never looked brassy what I would recommend is doing 1/2 a cup of lemon juice in a spray bottle and then a half a cup of water so it's just slightly diluted you can keep that in your shower for a couple of days and so what I like to do was after I shampooed my hair I would spritz this in the hair let it sit for about five minutes then I would rinse that out and follow with really really hydrating mask this definitely isn't bad for the hair I think we're always known to think that lemon is very acidic and it is but once it comes in contact with the human body actually becomes alkaline and so I may actually restore the pH balance in your hair and leaving your hair with incredible luster and shine also a little scientist in case you don't have lemons or don't want to use lemons you can definitely use apple cider vinegar I personally like the smell of the lemon water better but do know that using apple cider vinegar it will not leave any smell on your hair at all in fact it actually neutralizes odors little side a tip as well while doing laundry if you do have say like beach towels or something that's kind of been sitting for a few days when you throw them in the washer throw in about a half cup or a cup of vinegar and your towels will come out so fluffy and smelling so good in cosmetology school we're always told to treat our hair like a fiber like a very fine fiber basically like cashmere number two is chamomile and this is one of the other steps that I would do in high school so in combination with the lemon water I would also brew like chamomile tea and you can use a couple of teabags I'll just make about like two cups of tea with like two or three teabags you want the tea to be pretty strong so you could either add the lemon just straight to that mixture or you can do the chamomile alone I think for better results I would definitely mix of those two and the trick for these two is not waiting until you have orangie brassy hair and expecting these tips necessarily to like get you out of it but by doing these tips that will definitely prevent you from getting brassy in the future so just like the lemon water you would keep that in your shower and just spritz on the hair and again you can keep this for a couple of days in your shower sometimes what I like to do too is if I know that I'm about to shower I would just spritz the hair with that and saturate it pretty well and just leave it on for you know good 5-10 minutes then jump in the shower rinse it off and then follow with shampoo and conditioner and I think this is a really good combination because the chamomile oh is almost like soothing where's the lemon can be a little bit more astringent so those two combined are great alright so number three is baking soda and if you like by now people know too that baking soda can be used for cleaning for brightening it is very non-toxic it also has a no smell people use it to brighten their teeth so an amazing way is to just bring some in the shower just simply placing some in the palm of your hand getting your hand wet and just almost creating a paste you can start applying it to like the ends of your hair and massaging it as you come up higher closer to the scalp and then again leaving it on the hair for just a couple of minutes they look absolutely like Brighton your blonde and actually leave it feeling really nice and again you can use this in place of shampoo or you can follow with your favorite shampoo and conditioner any time I do one of these like more natural products I always like to follow with a really hydrating mask I personally love the deep conditioning mask by Monat I think it delivers the most intensive hydration without leaving the hair heavy which is so important to me because right after you've basically really cleansed and clarified the hair you want something that is going to balance the moisture back into the hair but you also don't want to add a ton of gunk both to your scalp and to the rest of your hair because that was just completely defeat what you had just done to your hair but of course you can follow with any mask or favorite conditioner you have at home now for number four and this is the one that's going to deliver the most results and that is hydrogen peroxide one of the best ways to add it to the hair is to put it in a dark little spray bottle and just spray it all over the hair another way to do it is to just grab a cotton ball soaked it and then you can rub it especially if you want it in specific area say if you have highlights and you kind of just want to brighten that area adding hydrogen peroxide to the hair even dark hair will lighten it you do have to be careful though because it is basically the most mildest bleach you could basically do on the hair so it will brighten dark hair but you do have to be careful because your brown hair could start to look reddish or a little bit brassy and that's just because any time that you bleach or your remove pigment from brown hair you are going to expose the underlying colors and brown and one of the main colors and brown hair is red so say if you have a balayage or you have highlights basically if you have kind of a more contrasting color I would definitely avoid putting the hydrogen peroxide on your darker pieces but now if you do have a darker brown hair or virgin hair and you do want to kind of lighten up the ends a bit spraying on a little bit of hydrogen peroxide and sitting out in the Sun it's basically I'm sure you guys have all heard of like Sun Inn products this is basically like the main ingredient that is kind of getting you to that lighter hair it's actually an antiseptic so there's like a product that is super safe on the body on the skin and on the hair so again it can also be used to brighten your teeth I used to be addicted to like teeth whitening strips and teeth whitening anything and I think I did it so much that that I did end up ruining a lot of the enamel in my teeth and I know that I just had to like kind of step back a little bit from that the people often still ask me like what do you use to keep your teeth white and honestly that's what I use so obviously brushing twice a day but then after I brush my teeth I just apply it a little bit of hydrogen peroxide to my tooth brush and just brush for like an extra two minutes and I promise you see results right away and basically what it's doing it's not likely in deep in your teeth and like actually whitening them but it is removing surface stains and if this is something that you're doing on a daily basis it really does remove kind of that build-up just from that day and then really maintains your teeth to be really really nice and way and again you can use a combination of all of these things of course I wouldn't do them all in the same day and I did do this last week on my hair and the next day all my clients were like oh my god like would you do to your hair now it's like all it was was ingredients that I had in my own kitchen and that is it guys so I know that a lot of you around this time of year are thinking of lightening and brightening your hair so I figured this would be at least an amazing way to get started and who knows you might just get to the blonde that you have been wanting to go to just by using these simple household items so yeah I hope this video helps thank you guys so much for watching and I'll see next video by
