Diablo 4 Paragon Tips And Tricks - Board Guide

I'm going to explain to you Paragon boards I have refunded all of my Paragon points so that I can fully rebuild my Paragon board while I'm explaining it to you so you will have a visual representation of the explanation when you hit Level 50 you unlock the ability to have your Paragon board you can see this very simply it will be in the same tab as your skill tree you can go the Paragon from here you can expand to go the faux screen something to keep in mind about the Paragon board is you will also need glyphs which we will talk about what they do in the moment but the glyphs are unlocked through doing nightmare dungeons which you can get in your nightmare sidges these nightmare sigils are unlocked as you progress through the game and you get the tree of Whispers down you do the runs with the tree of Whispers so you can also watch another video about how tree of Whispers work but you get deciduous these will give you glyphs you'll need glyphs which you'll probably have by time you unlock your first Paragon board and the glyphs are fairly easy to get I farmed all of the glyphs in the game before I add 100 hours in the game you get them fairly quickly so don't worry about trying to get the glyphs just try to understand the explanation so what let's go ahead and start with the Paragon board when you start with the Paragon board you're going to have the Paragon starting note anytime you place points you have to do it in a row you cannot refund a middle point you have to make sure you do it like a snake like a snake's head you have to go from the you know the the end point all the way back so I can't go here here and here and then refund the one in the middle for instance just keep that in mind when you're doing the Paragon board you have to keep them connected now the Paragon board has multiple different types of these nodes the gray ones will be your normal nodes which would typically just have like intelligence strength willpower dexterity like your basic stats there will be magic nodes which will typically have magic of fixes like the type of stuff the Roses the secondary on your items so things like damage percentage total armor percentage you'll notice these nodes what dictates what this the magic nodes do as well as the rare notes which are your higher quality ones which see and I look at this 20 damage maximum life and then it has a bone this that if 10 damage if other requirements are met for instance if I have 214 total intelligence I get that bonus what determines which of these nodes show up is the what board you pick so it's like puzzle pieces as we get to the end of this board you're going to choose another board and I'll show you that process okay so let's go ahead and start walking through this and I will explain how it works also there's no RNG with getting the boards everyone has the same board so you don't have to worry about farming boards you just get the glyphs and then you will level the glyphs and I'll explain that later so I want to go on the right side as opposed to the left side as I'm more interested in damage over the maximum life so we're going to go to the right side and I'm going to go up like this and retrieve this rare node now I need to go all the way to the Middle where this glyph socket is so I can put one of my glyphs in there so what I'm going to try to do is find the earliest easiest path in order to get there and I'm going to walk my way down there picking up maximum life damage if I want to put an extra point I could right here for another two percent maximum life in order to save my amount of Paragon points is unlimited we're going to go ahead and do it this way and start walking towards the cliff socket now if I look up here I know I want to go on the left hand side as opposed to the right hand side so we're going to start moving our way to the left unlocking all of the nodes as I go and then working my way up to unlock this rare node now let's talk about glyphs and how glyphs work glyphs are the Diablo Force answers to Diablo 3's legendary gems they work exactly the same way you get them from doing effectively nightmare dungeons which is the same thing as gray the riffs once you have these you can drop them into a socket the socket will activate the first thing you're going to notice is this red radius let me explain this first before I explain what the socket does within this radius it will determine the nodes that are within this radius will count towards the requirement stat so let me explain it another way for instance this glyph gives me 16.8 damage while I'm in wear bear form but the requirements are if I have plus 40 willpower within this range meaning if I pick up things like these willpower right here not this one because it's outside but this one because it's inside you see so I would go like this for instance to pick up the willpower or I could go to the one over here and pick up the willpower here which will increase the total purchase willpower I have more than four of these total willpower on my character we only only count towards the willpower that we have within this red radius if we meet that requirement we then game the additional bonus in this case with this glyph the additional bonus is 10 damage reduction while in wear bear form I care about that a good deal so what I'm going to attempt to do is get as much willpower as I can and because I know there's some willpower over here I'm going to do two points there to get that willpower which will give me 25 total we need 15 more willpower so I'm going to grab that one we need 10 more willpower at this point so I'm going to look around and see where can we get 10 more willpower within this build well I see five wheel power right there and five right there so I'm going to know that I want probably the rare Note 2 on my way out so I'm going to go here pick that one pick that one do two more points up here and order the game this one now I don't have 180 total dexterity so we'll worry about that note a little bit later but I picked it up since I'm here already now that we have all of this board looking pretty good and we're feeling fairly satisfied about that we have the requirements fulfilled for The Willpower it's time to mention one other thing look at this 58 damage while in Werebear form that's because for every five willpower purchase within the range you deal 5.6 increased damage while in wear bear form this is true regardless if we have the additional bonus or not so you'll notice that when we picked up these willpower notes we also gained damage as well for the normal uh part of the glyph socket even if we weren't able to meet the requirements so let's say that we only had in this section 35 willpower we still get the bonus from the damage the additional bonuses to unlock the additional is only the part of the requirement so just to make that clear use can skip past the additional bonuses because some glyphs are quite good with just the standard bonus and you don't really need to hit the requirement because the requirement is either too hard or doesn't benefit your build so I just want to make that perfectly clear from the beginning mean the additional requirements are separate from the bonuses and you can still get the bonuses for instance for taking the note even if you don't hit the additional requirements so now that we're feeling pretty good about this we could decide to either shoot down here and try to grab this rare node but I think what I want to do is activate my next Paragon board in order to get a chance to get other rare nodes that look quite good and also to get something called a legendary node so what I'm going to go ahead and do is I can choose to go up the resistance or the damage side I'm going to go up the damage side and we're going to go here to the board attach gate now at this point we can look through the eight other puzzle pieces or other Paragon board pieces that we can decide we're going to go into next we can look and preview through all of these I already know for my build that I want survival instincts because I've done this build already so for the sake of this I'm going to show you this so let's say I've looked through all of these and I've seen oh I really like this board then there's eight of them once again so look through all of them and decide for your build but I like this one because it has the urzine rare node which gives me overpower and wear bear damage it also gives me total armor on wear bear form gives me damage while in wear bear form there's a socket right here next to all of these this looks very good also has survival instincts for the wear bear form I can know this this is good for my pulverized build and this is what I want to do I want to play the pulverize so I'm going to figure out do I want to rotate this board and is it better for me to start here to get to the glyph socket is it better for me to start here and we're going to start figuring out the board for instance what I want more than anything is I wanted the damage node the pure damage now why don't I start on this one because it's only Damage Done to healthy enemies and fortify I want to start down here which is going to give me the where bears go damage so I think I'm going to attach the board at this Angle now we can continue as if the boards are one piece so I'm going to go ahead and start taking points along here until I get to over here when you pick up this wear bear skill damage pick up the overpower and now I have that nice juicy rare note I wanted at this point I'm going to make a b line straight for the glyph socket because I'm interested in that glyph socket so I can take my neck best piece and put it in there that I really like for my build this one rewards me with overpower damage every time I buy intelligence within the range so I'm looking for those intelligent stats and luckily enough for me it looks like intelligence is actually stacked significantly within this area so I'm able to pick up four more additional pieces of intelligence but now as we look around oh we have to go up here to get the last piece so I'm going to sneak up here and now we have this glyph activated as well which is a nice piece right to there so I'm able to get all of these pieces I'm feeling pretty good about that we might as well slide in here pick up that and now I decide do I want the total armor from these probably want the five percent damage and we got to be careful because I'm starting to run out of Paragon points at this point and we also want to get to the legendary node how legendary nodes work is once you have them activated and I'll show you here it's just something that happens you don't have to worry about additional requirements bonuses leveling it up nothing you just have to know it's like a rare note it's just a raw stat and now you have access to that something to keep in mind is with these Paragon boards very often the Paragon board is decided not by the legendary effects you're going for not for the legendary now and you can see what legendary node has as well as what rare notes but sometimes and by sometimes I mean quite often you actually want to look at the rare nodes and decide upon what your next board is going to be because of the rare notes the rare nodes seem to be extremely powerful when it comes to building out your builds some of these boards will actually have Synergy with multiple classes so for instance I'm doing the pulverized build but pulverize also accounts as an earth scale so I'm going to go in to the Earth relay the build next I'm then going to look and see what I want what do I want do I want the armor do I want the potion helium reduce damage taken damage to crowd control enemies critical construct crowd control enemies or do I want the Earth damage the Flat Earth damage the Critical Strike to crowd control I actually quite like this one so I think what I'm going to go for is I'm going to go for this one and I don't feel like I like the way this position of the board is so we're going to rotate the board one time just for the sake of this video and we can go ahead ahead and attach the board now from here I can go up directly shoot my way up here in order to be able to grab the next glyph for instance put on whatever I feel like I want for the next glyph in there and then start worrying about them building out from there grab all of the additional points I want shoot over here to get the Earth damage Etc so that is how the Paragon boards work keep in mind a lot of your in-game damage potential is going to come from these Paragon boards so if you got to level 50 and you're not liking your class yet it's not over give it another chance give it another 20 levels or so and absolutely make sure you go and do your Renown as there is 20 Paragon points that you can get from just doing Renown you actually get multiple Paragon points per level too you get a paragon point at every third portion of your level and one for completely in the next level so you're effectively getting four Paragon points a level so you're getting like five full levels worth if you do your Renown as well for the Paragon board and that's going to transition you into a significant amount of damage increase that that's all you really need to know for the Paragon
