base for our pizza right now today I'm hopping all around Asia to find the best and most unique Asian pizza fugitive pans are actually made to hold auto parts like nuts and bolts so that's why it's called this for some pizza we'll see if India can make pizza on naan bread tandoor oven it's crazy hot what happens when you mix Detroit style pizza with Korean ingredients he handed me this octopus pizza said good luck and then walked away I don't know what that meant and finally he will join me for a pizza crossover I never expected here in Vietnam I understand the idea of cucumber I just don't like it myself whether you like it thick or thin it's Pizza time Indian chefs have a PhD in spice employing contrasting flavors heat and a masterful blending of seasonings that is ridiculous I mean just taste the skill the number of spices I hear today that worked so well together beautiful vibrant spices flavors aromas right now I'm headed to duty-free restaurant to take on their butter chicken pizza so the main idea dude even was to bring people together in the restaurant and create wood which is comfort food including their drunken chicken tikka hahahahahahaha so tender and its own steaming mor and loads of creative drinks oh I feel like a college girl again I mean guy boy but right now I'm making a beeline for the kitchen to check out this pizza we're not gonna go with the typical Italian bread and we're gonna go with a non-base where our butter chicken pizza I like it he's gonna slap up that bread a little bit like it did something wrong to him and then he's gonna throw it in the tandoor here so we're gonna have kind of an ocular pizza today tandoor oven it's crazy hot inside always got to get the other side a little bit there it is BAM that is a nice pizza base right there step 2 we put our chicken into the tandoor oven making a tandoori chicken but eventually it'll be butter chicken I'm here with my man Deepak who is making the base for our pizza right now perfect like some butter Khaled butter chicken for a reason that is a lot of butter next dried friend wig seeds then the gravy including tomato puree garlic and ginger this is the same base for any butter chicken just like this then salt sugar cream this is gonna be really one of the most rich pizzas I've ever had then their tandoori chicken chicken we just took out of the tandoori oven lots of more butter we started with butter and it is the circle of butter life we're ending with a little bit more butter that Ramon is authentic as you get for a butter chicken pizza finally the assembly the butter chicken base is slathered on our naan bread with chunks of tandoori chicken and cheese on top of that then even more freshly cut chicken some herbs and it's ready to go prepares in the oven from that base to the top like everything here it's India the entire dish is mixture all four different dishes put together to make one hell of a dish and the butter part is no joke so this is super-rich the one thousand calories down your throat yeah jump into it just oh yes the cheese is all stretchy say whole bunch of cheese first taken him out with all the flavors of Indian spices around this is so incredible this is recently this is the chicken which is finished in and clear one so that's how you add all the smoky flavors it's smoking the gravy is smooth by heavy fatty just the right amount of cheese right now it works perfectly as a face it's so crisp it's open crunchy yeah well without being hunters are here and I can complement that with a sip of beer Itaewon is Seoul's international restaurant neighborhood and today I'm meeting up with key chef partner at Motor City pizza who have brought Detroit style pizza to the land of the Morning Calm what is Detroit style pizza you got to bake it in a blue steel pan it's got this rectangular shape the cheese goes all the way to the edge so you get a crust while it bakes the sauce goes on last because you can't bake it with the sauce or the dough gets you soggy this pan right here is actually straight from Detroit these pans are actually made to hold auto parts like nothing bolts so that's why it's called Detroit's no pizza oddly enough I'll be trying my first Detroit style pizza here in Korea starting with Motor City pizzas signature called the Jackson 5 here we have our mozzarella and Jack cheese important part is to get this cheese all the way to the edge so it caramelizes chopped jalapenos good Oh American bacon Ricans love bacon some good size basically like uncured bacon right right gotta have pepperoni and our Italian spice blend this is gonna go in the oven for about eight minutes and we'll garnish with the sauce once finished the pizza is removed from the pan next key cuts the pizza and garnishes it with ranch and marinara sauce bison ranch green bro we make it in health and we used a lot of fresh herbs not your Hidden Valley Ranch right away it's like a little heavy doughy cheesy it's trying to Wow I think it's got layers a good amount of cheesiness doughy cheesy and then crunchy on the outside a little kick of jalapeno that ranch kicks in last very early it's nice I could get back to 300 pounds quick with this as delicious as this is we are here for the Korean inspired pizza we're gonna talk about that next [Music] today he is going off menu to create to Korea inspired pizzas one based off Ju and the other based off jus cuvee which are these little tiny octopuses they're gonna put the baby octopus onto the pizza these are so tasty and chewy once it's melted with cheese and everything oh I can't wait to see what that's like j-hope is a Korean pork belly and chili paste stir-fry the Ju pizza will start with caramelized onions green bell pepper roasted garlic and plenty of delicious pork with pepperoni on top after cooking it's garnished with tomato sauce laced with Korean chili paste and a small sliced green onion salad they're bringing Korea with Detroit it's awesome starting with the Ju pizza you got to get these corner pieces because they're cheesy and crunchy as heck the cheesiness it's very present let's try it out mmm far-out flavors of Korea all in one pizza what is happening here these guys have nailed it with the dome and cheese combination and then they've just piled on some flavors on top of that really all the flavors of like a Korean barbecue smoky salty all that's missing is a bottle of soju and then that is like the complete flavors of Korea in your mouth the jacuzzi pizza is getting a load of these adorable little octopuses topped with a Korean pesto which includes local perilla leaves for a pop of Irby freshness he handed me this octopus pizza said good luck and then walked away I don't know what that meant but to me it looks good it looks like a delicious cheesy octopus graveyard they're burnt little crispy tentacles it's gooey let's try a little octopus on the pizza guy's wall mm-hmm that pesto a very urban strong aromatic flavors on their little perfumey almost I like the octopus I think that octopus actually works as a protein but let me know what you guys think would you ever eat a pizza with little mini octopuses on it come on it's not that weird and listen these two are not on the menu if you want it on the menu you should comment below and tell them to put it on the menu I applaud this extreme fusion innovation connecting vastly different cooking styles on one pie but I suggest starting out with the Jackson five next time you had the Motor City pizza in Seoul South Korea now back in Saigon Vietnam he and I are making a run to pizza and beer this local pizzeria has been up and running for just over a year the creation the Vietnamese native V who was so inspired after visiting Italy that she took a three-month pizza making course returned to Saigon and opened up shop did you go to a pizza school yeah when I grew up I didn't even know that was an option I thought I had to study at liberal arts in garbage like that ve has adapted her menu to local taste buds with her Saigon heat pizza featuring pepperoni jalapenos red chili flakes and capsicum while still providing classics like the for cheese with mozzarella goat cheese parmesan and gorgonzola with just a bit of honey to top it off at Pizza school do they tell you that there's some ingredients that should never go on a pizza my ship yes because he Italy they never boot plate Hyman pineapple on their pizza her Pizza instructor probably wouldn't allow this next pie but that's not stopping V any pizza on my star they try and they love it so much and I decide to put it on a minute these Vietnamese Pizza fusion takes inspiration from the famous bun me hail way stacked with juicy roasted pork belly it starts with baguette bread then pickled carrot and radish plenty of roasted pork cucumber except in my case scallions and coriander couple of hot chilies and a special sauce that includes garlic onion fish sauce soy sauce and pork fat there's some heavy meat but of course they're always gonna add some balance in Vietnam they lighten up with a little bit of the cilantro and having cilantro in the sandwich adds a really unique taste it's something I had never experienced until coming to Vietnam I'd only had cilantro with Mexican food before but the trumpeting and the sandwich sometime it's real nice so how does she turn this into a pizza let's find out this is how mister it's a pizza fetus this is how pizza is born stretch it all out how many pizzas have you made in your life 50 pizzas a day then you kind of just toss it around I like the sound it makes it's like throwing a whoopee cushion on a carpet you make it look easy easy to buy meat beef that sauce soy sauce sesame oil and a spicy mayo mozzarella cheese the most important part Oh Kelly it's already cooked and that's why it is very nice and tender the next ingredient is pickle carrot and daikon it's make the street with the south now the visa is going into the oven it will be cooked for Prime Minister it is welcome to the world this is a cucumber and coriander leaf I understand the idea of cucumber I just don't like it myself but you like Cory and oh yeah I love coriander you like spice and stuff yeah every part of everybody is you don't know which bite is gonna be the hot chili that's it that is an absolute beauty there too it actually tastes like ring with a film from the bang me because of the cucumber and then the pickle it's just like the texture of the port with the crispness of the crust it's kind of a
