Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
This place must be isolated out in the middle of nowhere. It looks like a great place for homeless, squaters, etc. Beds that don't look destroyed and closets full of blankets. And you could haul off those washing machines for $$$ or set up a generator. They look like fairly modern front loaders.
There's something wrong in this video, I still can't place unless it's just staged. It does look like a pretty typical run down motel, no doubt about that. I can assume most people would be asking "where are the squatters" and what have you. If this place was truly abandoned, that would be amazing. Now like he stated the owner filed for bankruptcy. This I do not believe at all. For myself, in a food industry background (read high failure rate), the things in thie video just wouldn't be there. There is a lot of rather expensive assists left behind. Namely the only thing I could personally have some knowledge is is kitchen equipment. IF someone went bankrupt, their assets would be liquidated, and even what's shown in the video for left behind reach ins, ventilation systems and hoods, small refrigerators, etc, would be taken out and sold very quickly. That still fails to look into the left behind desks, chairs, etc etc "general equipment" left behind untouched.
From personal experience, being on the fail side, and buying other peoples failed dreams. If you pack up and shut down a business, because you quit, or file bankruptcy, step 1 is everything easily sold is liquidated on the spot. There are entire businesses that all they do is step into a place like this and fire sale anything that isn't bolted to concrete.
I'm still not sure, but something about this video does not add up for me. It does seem very staged. Also his footage, video editing, sound editing, is very very good. And I'm just disregarding the end, it was dumb, and I totally don't believe or care about it.
My guess, he or someone he knows owns or bought the place. And made a neat video about it being "haunted" or something.
Music that was featured in Fallout? I'm sold!
