Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I loved Joe, he seemed so into the game and he brought the same enthusiasm he has for DnD.
Somehow it never dawned on me that Becca Scott, the floor host at a bunch of major MtG events and Becca Scott, the lady I learn boardgames from, are the same person!
These decks are quite fun to play, we’ve been rotating each deck we play from these 4 the past few weeks. Fun to see others also play them against each other.
This was a really good episode and every deck did its thing well. I guess this was aided due to it being the Precons which are designed to be played against each other and have a more or less equal powerlevel. The Game Knights episodes I have disliked so far were mostly due to a power-imbalance in the decks which these avoided.
The production quality is of course incredible, particularly the animation on Etali was impressive. I guess the reactions could be a bit trimmed but it is far from overbearing. Not a fan of ads but they can always be skipped.
I really have no idea how or when the community opinion turned so hard on this content, to the point where a post about is just barely keeping over 50% upvote rate. I guess tastes can be different, but at the very least they also offer an alternative in the Extra Turns series which is more straightaway commander gameplay without the bells and whistles.
Jimmy opting not to cast the [[victimize]] at 47:50 is rough. He could sacrifice his commander, let it go to the gy, reanimate [[Sun Titan]] and something else, and use the Sun Titan trigger to bring back his commander. Definitely lost value. His commander trigger could then rebuy a 4th creature (note, Cards that trigger when you complete a dungeon only go on the stack after the trigger from the last room of the dungeon resolves).
Loved how every deck got to do their thing. Prosper deck looked sweet. Not quite sure if trying to squeeze value from Mad Mage was a better plan than just jamming Lost Mine of Phandelver and getting Sefris triggers instead. Set of precons look cool.
I hope josh gets that mole checked out. I went back to some videos just a year ago and it was significantly smaller.
you really know that Josh and Jimmy have made it big when half the top level comments are just hate.
Really good game, and I enjoyed both new guests a lot!
