life game is its own reward nature's claim does it resolve yes path to exile does it resolve yes why do you keep asking me that you're a wizard you might counter me i'm playing mono green i attack with all of my spiders uh but you've only got one spider you hurt me i play faithless looting oh i'm out of spells you're gonna draw a card next turn i guess it's time for a long rest that's not a thing in magic nature's lore rampant growth explosive vegetation i love nature okay then i'm gonna take my i attack you josh what jimmy that's not a good attack i have a lot of blockers oh no what a crack lion's eye diamond two float blue order librarius knights whispers what's up everybody welcome to game nights today we've got two brand new guests for the magic the gathering and dungeons and dragons crossover set hi everybody i'm amy voorhall and you might know me from around the internet from places like nerdist geek and sundry even critical role and i also was a writer on the latest d d hardback book candle keep mysteries but this is my first time on game night and i'm ready to throw down and we've brought on one of my favorite people from the rpg community hey everybody my name is michael sinclair ii you might know me from into the motherlands or let's get wild mount second start to the right and faye forge academy and i'm here on game nights and i'm really excited to play with the new dnd set i've played d d for years so i'm so excited to see it cross over to magic this way there are brand new classes tons of storytelling elements across all of the cards and some of your favorite characters from d d as magic of gathering cards for the first time ever so today i'm playing a deck centered around the commander tiamat she puts the dragons in dungeons and dragons but since i'm gonna have so many cards in my hand after i've tutored i'm probably gonna have to discard some so i've included a reanimation package which is going to allow me to bring my dragons back onto the battlefield so the commander i'm playing today is colleen reclusive painter you'll suffer from my art my deck is about making a ton of treasures so i can play amazing creatures really early and thanks to my commander's ability they're gonna get huge and once i got all these creatures out i can just bash face and my opponents won't know what hit them the commander i'm playing is minsk beloved ranger little hamster there are some good giants in magic but there aren't that many so i filled out the rest of the deck with some really awesome changelings because they count as every creature type to help with those giant synergies so it's time to stomp all over my opponents so the deck i'm playing today is dritz durden so this is one of d's most iconic adventurers he's known for his two swords so i filled my deck with a ton of them and then i've got other cards that let me find any equipment i need and since he's got double strike every time they connect they're gonna trigger twice all right adventurers let's fight okay let's battle let's do it let's roll for initiative welcome to the table everyone as is the custom let's reveal our awesome ultra pro playmats guys i've got a tia mat matt that's brilliant so great all right michael amy it's your first time at the game nights table you know what that means lady danger please of course i knight thee sir michael arise amazing all right i dub the dame amy arise jamie my true power brand new knights at the table welcome to game nights only one may stand all right let's go wee i will drop return and i shall play a forest it's one of the new afr lands with flavor text on it and pastor unto you michael all righty draw for turn and i play command tower and i'll pass my turn i will draw for turn and i will play a forest and pass the turn i will draw for turn i'm gonna play a windswept heath okay i will crack it and then okay one i'm gonna find a temple garden put that into play untapped and take two damage so i'll go to 37 and so i'm gonna tap this and play esper sentinel wow so having esper sentinel on turn one is gonna be really great for me because it means that every time somebody plays a non-creature spell i'm going to get a card off of it which is going to allow me to keep a full grip for as long as this thing stays out [Music] yeah yeah yeah yeah you will okay i will draw my card for turn i am going to play a gruel turf and i'm going to bounce my forest back to my hand okay and at the end of my turn i have eight cards in my hand so i'm going to discard a mountain and i'll pass it to you michael at your end step i'm going to tap my command tower for black and i'm going to play vampiric tudor nice turn one vampiric tudor he's got to get the best thing in his deck right that's terrifying this card is gonna smooth out my draws and to help me with the rest of the game i tutor for this card and it goes on top of my library and then i'm going to lose two life go to 38. so that's your first non creature spell this turn michael are you going to pay for s percentage nah you can have the card oh it feels good to say okay so now untap upkeep and draw the card i put on top for darn nice i'm gonna play den of the bugbear and then i'm going to tap to i'm going to play my commander colleen reclusive painter you'll suffer from my art wow oh commander out when she enters the battlefield she creates a treasure token nice so i played my commander it's gonna let me pump up my creatures and make sure that they come out a little bit sooner and a little bit scarier and i pass my turn to you amy perfect i shall draw for turn i'm going to play my misty rain forest i will crack it pay one life bringing me down 239 okay i'm going to find an overgrown tomb put it into play untapped taking two life down to 37 and then i'm going to cast far seek rap city ram ram city i'm going to find a sacred foundry put it into play tapped all right boy have i built myself a tricky tricky deck because my commander is all five colors and she cost seven so my entire deck is built around mana ramp mana ramp mana ramp mana ramp so s percentile is going to trigger you may take your card thank you thank you i'm gonna pass my turn to lady excellent i will untap draw for turn then i will play a fortified village i reveal a forest so it comes into play untapped then i will tap two and play a swift boot oh scary dying to commander damage is actually a very real possibility with lady because her commander has double strike so if you don't have blockers up this could be hitting you for a ton of damage the moment it comes out all right and jimmy i'll go ahead and i'll get you for one okay i have no blockers so i'll take one and i'll go to 39 life and uh that's my turn i'll pass you jimmy okay i will untap and draw for turn i will play a planes giving me the perfect mana to tap for three and cast misc beloved ranger the blue evil sikkim and minsk enters the battlefield with his good friend beloved boo oh boo you're so cute and tiny until you're not but thank goodness it can only happen at sorcery speed so before that happens i'll just have to gobble them up in the maws of my dragons lay danger i'm gonna swing at you for one well i guess i deserve that i will take one and go to 36. nice all right that does it for me i'll pass turn to you michael all right i will untap and draw so i will play a blood stain mire and i'm gonna immediately crack it going to 37 and then i'm gonna find a badlands it comes in untapped i will top one and two black to play ferexian arena nice all right this is really exciting because i know that i'm gonna be drawing some extra cards as the turns keep going and i know that the rest of my opponents are gonna have a lot of card draw so i need to keep up with them are you gonna pay for s percentile nope you can have that card perfect this card is so good especially is giving me a ton of value already so just keep it coming all right i will crack my treasure and i'm going to play the ocelot oh i love that card okay thanks to this card michael is constantly going to be a threat on the table because he can't lose those counters they just go on the ozone and then blam onto another creature and that thing might be hitting you for a bunch of damage this might be one of the best cards in his deck and because that's your second non-creature spell esper sentinel will not trigger this time thank goodness and i will swing one at lady danger so she can get some pain for taking cards yeah get him sure i will take one and go to 35. and that is commander damage and then i pass my turn to amy thank you i will untap all my juicy lands draw for turn i will play steam vents untapped which means i have to pay two life bring me down 235 uh then i'll tap three play painful truths as for sentinels get a trigger would you like to pay not gonna pay thank you because i use three different colors to cast painful truths i will draw three cards and lose three life oh bringing me down to 32. i have to draw three cards so i fill up my hand so i can keep hitting the land drops so that i can eventually cast tiamat [Music] again again okay then everybody i'm going to tap my beautiful steam vents and play oh so oh my god so usually at this point in the game a soul ring isn't that terrifying but this means she can play her commander next turn which is going to give her a ton of dragons so that's not good i will pass my turn to lady okie dokie i will untap draw for turn i'm gonna play forest and then i'll cast cultivate beautiful so i'll go get a forest and a plate i'll put the forest into play tapped and the planes into my hands you know what it just looks like it's something i'm gonna have to do amy i'm so weak i'm gonna get you just for one just one a little love taffy here i take one damage going to 31. i know this might be wild but i have to discard wow so i'm gonna discard two planes and i'll pass the turn to egypt okay i will untap my cards and drop return we'll play a forest and then i will go to combat and i'll swing minsk at you michael and boo at you amy no blocks for me and i go down to 34. and that is commander damage i also have no blockers so i go down to 30. well everyone's got mana ramp and card draw so i'm gonna play my version which is smothering time that's gonna trigger us for sentinel no i will not pay all right this card is normally pretty good but it's extremely good on this board state michael has a fraction arena lady has an esper sentinel i'm gonna be asking if people want to pay the two multiple times every single turn rotation and that means a ton of treasure for me okay well that's gonna do it for me and i'll pass turn to you michael all right i will untap and at my upkeep ferexian arena triggers so i will lose one life going down to 33 and drawing a card and then i will draw a card for turn all right both of those are in the trigger smothering tide would you like to pay two mana for either of those nah you can have your treasures all right i'll play a canyon slaw tapped and i will tap two to play the little homie darkseid extortionist i have hey okay so let's count them up one two three four five six star effects right that's right yes it says i thought my mana ramp was good this is shmoney we're really lucky that he played this now before jimmy has a ton of artifacts from smothering time i sense trouble for our heroes the dark side extortionist is out on the loose and is here to make some mischief i'm gonna crack three treasures making three red and playing captain lannery storm oh gosh because i use treasure to cast it my commander's gonna have it come in with three additional plus one plus one counters and that has haste it sure does oh my gosh oh this play is really showing the power of my commander here thanks to my commander's ability any treasures i crack here is gonna give me that much more plus one plus one counters and then i will cast ammo predator and that will also come in with three plus one plus one counters because of my commander wow all right so now michael's got a massive flyer in the air and if he sacrifices another creature he can make it indestructible but because of the ozolith he gets to keep whatever counters were on that creature and later he can put those counters back onto this flyer so he's got so much synergy going on his board right now i don't know what we're gonna do to get out of this and captain lannery storm is gonna get plus three plus zero because i cracked three treasures wow oh my goodness oh and it's still off it's an 8-5 i'm gonna go into combat and i'm going to swing eight at jimmy and one at amy and when captain lannery storm attacks she makes a treasure michael you're the real treasure i have no blocker so i will take your commander damage bring me down to 29. and i definitely can't block so i will take eight and go to 31. nasty pass my turn over to you i untap i draw for turn are you gonna pay two for smothering tithe amy yeah nope okay i will get the treasure she's got big plans i think tmf's coming out right i think i think she just has to come out okay i will play land for turn this will be an island and then i will tap everything to bring my commander out enters the battlefield and when she does she screams my children will rule over all so our adventurers were worried about card draw and treasure generation but little did they know they were about to encounter tamas and her five most evil spawn roll for initiative i call forth to my hand bladewing the risen why you say the falling star evan death draco lynch terror of the peace and morophon the boundless there's a shape-shifter so he's a dragon [Laughter] she just cast a seven mana seven seven flower that drew her the five strongest cards in her deck she's gonna have to discard but she also tutored up bladewink which loves having creatures in the graveyard so this is just amazing synergy and all five dragons answer the call and come to my hands sheesh okay i'm gonna move to my end step and because i have more than seven cards in my hand i need to discard five i shall discard morophon the boundless swamp ebb and death dracolich kiyora behemoth beckoner which is me i'm a fuckabish and anguished unmaking oh okay and i passed my turn too late oh my gosh thank you i'm gonna untap drop return on your draw step smothering title trigger are you going to pay for the treasure no okay i will go to four treasures and then i'm gonna play my commander dritz all four commanders and when he enters the battlefield i get to create gwenevere lovely so i could play drew's next turn and equip my swift foot boots but i'd rather have blockers here so it feels bad it's not that optimal but i just gotta deal with it jimmy everything's scary yes except for you so i'm gonna attack you for one okay uh sure i will take one and i'll go to 30. and so now that i'm finished i need to discard down to hand size and i will get rid of the seleznia sanctuary okay and i will pass the turn to you not scary man all right i will untap and i will draw for turn okay i will tap three mana and i'm gonna to cast jessica's will oh no yikes and i'm going to target you lady for your hand me this card is one of my favorite cards in the game and i have a ton of treasure as well so this turn i'm gonna have a bunch of mana be able to play a bunch of stuff and i think i'm gonna be right back in it oh no this is a card that i'm really scared of we just have to sit back and hope he doesn't get too much off the top would you like to pay for esper sentinel yeah i would not you can draw the card well i think i will that's going to trigger my smothering tithe you can't pay the two so i will get another charter going to five so i'm gonna get eight red mana and then i'm gonna exile the top three cards in my library and i can play them this turn jimmy so as scared as i was of jessica's will he can only play one of those lands and the other one's a ramp spell so it's not that bad not so scary anymore this is like it's like rolling a one i don't know if you've seen the rest of the board but two lands in a ramp spell ain't going to stop me from dying too dragons indestructible flyers or double striking creatures so sucks to be me all right i will play my land for turn sounds about right i'm going to tap one green and three of the red from jessica's will and i'm going to cast guardian project oh god no okay this was supposed to be an amazing turn but i didn't get any spells that are gonna really help me on this situation so i have to just set myself up for future turns it might mean that i take a ton of damage next turn but so be it and then i'm going to pay three more mana and i'm gonna cast sarkon's triumph so i'm going to look through my library for a dragon creature card wait a second you're going to go get a dragon card i thought that was my game you're like diet tiamat i'm going to find a realm walker and because it's a changeling it counts as a dragon i like dragons and i'll put that in my hand i'm going to use the remainder of my jessica's will mana one land and two treasures and cast ramp and growth and cultivate i'm gonna get the planes from the ramp and growth that'll enter the battlefield tapped and i'm gonna get a mountain and a forest from cultivate i'm gonna put the forest on the battlefield and the mountain into my hand not bad and then i'm gonna use the remainder of my three treasure and cast the realm walker i tutored up when it enters the battlefield there's me two triggers the guardian project so i'll draw a card okay and i get to choose a creature type for the rum walker and i'm going to choose creature type giant and i can look at the top card in my library at any time and cast it if it's a giant it's not i also have no mana good to know this card is all about value i'm looking to get as much card advantage as possible because i really need to catch up to the rest of the table i couldn't affect the board around me this turn but i could at least make mine as good as possible so i'm just gonna cross my fingers hope i survive this turn rotation and then i can just go off that's gonna do it for me pass the turn to you michael all right i'm going to untap at my up key brexit and arena will trigger i'm going to draw a card and lose one life going to 32 and i will draw for turn that's gonna be two triggers of smothering tithe would you like to pay two mana for either of them no okay i'm gonna go to combat okay and i'm going to attack jimmy for five that will trigger captain laramie's store and i'm going to make a treasure okay i declare no blockers i will go to a wary 25. so i'll play urborg tomb of yagboth for my land nice and then i'm going to crack both my treasures oh no and playing steel hellkite i recognize you my child what are you doing on that board he rakdos now so i'm feeling pretty good about my position on the board right now i have complete control of the air and i have various abilities that are going to handle any issues that arise so steel hellkite here is pretty scary for me because all of my equipments are around the same cost so with that activated ability he can get rid of all of my stuff that's gonna protect dritz this is not good and it's gonna enter with two plus one plus one counters because of my commander yikes that's bad after my amazing turn i'm gonna pass the turn to you amy okay i'll take it and first i'll untap i will draw for turn on your draw step smothering tithe will trigger i need all of my mana perfect and i need all of mine as well i'll get another treasure i will play my land for turn a tiger and then i'm gonna tap two green and i'm going to play my great henge wow for only two green amazing for only two green because tiamat has seven power the great henge it's gonna allow me to draw some cards it's gonna give me some extra mana and also i can cast it for two mana this card is nuts because it's a non-creature would you uh like to pay for ask for sentiment i would not oh perfect and because you drew a car would you like to pay for smothering tide i cannot alright i'm gonna get a treasure next up i will tap two and play my arcane signet nice and finally i will play my best blocker ever right you say the falling star oh so this card has an ability when it dies it deals a whole bunch of damage luckily some of my most valuable creatures are flyers so maybe this will just wipe the board and clear a path for me also when ryusei enters the battlefield it will trigger the great hinge so i will draw a card and put a 1-1 counter on ryusei and when i tap the great henge i'm going to gain it to life bringing me to 31. when you draw that card smothering title will trigger you don't have the manage to pay for it so i'm going to give myself a treasure treat yourself i did treat myself i'm going to move to combat and i'm going to swing tim out right at lady because she doesn't have any blockers and she has the most life i don't remember how i made myself the enemy here everyone else seems like a much bigger problem why should i attack me okay i can take a hit so i will take seven commander damage going to 28. 14 more baby and i will pass a turn to lady oh thank you all right let's go to my untap and draw my card for turn okay that card draw trigger smothering tithe can you pay two no thanks great i'll make a treasure so i'm gonna start off by playing a forest return and then i'm going to play sort of fire and ice um okay all of the swords are so good with ladies commander because it has double strike this means they're gonna trigger twice every single time she attacks wow that is dangerous not to mention this sword gives protection from red and blue everyone at the table is playing red so she's gonna be able to get through a lot of the time and then i'm gonna pay three and use that to equip the sword of fire and ice and swift foot boots to dritz so he is now a five five hex proof and haste baby oh my goodness well since you were so kind to me amy ah i'm gonna swing at you for ten with dritz [Music] i guess i can't block so drist is going to hit me twice two times baby so i will take 10 damage going to 21 and i will count that as commander damage because stress has double strike i get two triggers of sword of fire and ice my first trigger i'm going to do two damage to your boo jimmy boo and then i'll draw a card smothering title trigger no okay so i will make another treasure and then i will do two damage to your face jimmy okay i'll go to 23. and i will draw another card and that card draw is going to trigger smothering tithe you can't pay for it so i'll go to another treasure because i've drawn so many cards as you do i get to discard and just to flex a little bit i'm gonna get rid of greater good oh life's legacy oh and noxious revival so make no mistake i probably could have played noxious revival here for free but i'm already at a pretty low life total and i don't want to risk it with what's on the table sounds good and i'll pass a turn to you jimmy okey dokey i will untap and i will draw for turn realm walker lets me look at the top part of my library okay just checking just checking so i'm going to tap one two three four mana and play beast whisperer oh that's gonna trigger my guardian project and i'll draw a card i have so much mana from smothering tithe i'm just looking for a way to use it so getting another creature down to draw me even more cards means i can find my answers more quickly and hopefully protect myself from this craziness that's happening around the board i will then sacrifice four treasures play atla pilani nest tender spicy that's going to trigger peace whisper and guardian project so i'll draw two cards so at laplani here might seem a little weird but because jimmy's playing changelings it's gonna get to see it as an egg so whenever a changeling dies he's gonna get a trigger off at laplani which means he's probably gonna get something crazy off the top of his deck i will tap two mana and play a sylvan library that's my first non-creature spell for the turn lady just draw that card give it to me baby and because you drew a car would you like to pay for smothering tide no okay i will get a treasure whoa car draw city go jimmy go go jimmy go okay my engine is set and it doesn't look like anyone's messing with it i never need to worry about cards or mana ever again hopefully amy and lady keep going at it and i don't die to michael but looking at my enchantments i'm gonna generate so much value off of this i think i can pull away if i just stay alive long enough don't mind me i'm just some regular joe schmoe not a powerful wizard at all i fooled you i am a wizard the magnificent modern cannon in fact that was an example of an illusion you see any arcanist knows having control over artifacts that i have in my deck but it also is going to get value by making some pretty big constructs i'm feeling pretty good okay so we gotta do things any flyers over there jimmy no flyers here all right i'm gonna go to combat i'm going to swing imstrum predator over to you jimmy and i'm going to swing captain laramie storm and steal hellkite at lady danger at attacks captain laramie storm is going to make a treasure hey not bad and image stream predator is going to trigger i'm going to target your even death in your graveyard my son ebon death is one of those cards i wanted in my graveyard so i could cast it from my graveyard and now any of my recursion tactics are at risk with emerston predator so that sucks so now he's exiled bye bye and i will put another plus one plus one counter on image from predator oh gosh okay um i have no blockers so i'm going to go ahead and just take seven in the air and go to 16. ouch i will block the five five with guna bear so gwenevere will die and i will take seven going to 21. oh okay after combat i'm going to sacrifice my commander to image from predator to give it indestructible okay interesting so if somebody swings out completely and then sacrifices their commander chances are there's probably a board wipe coming this is not good so now i'm gonna play the card i've been holding on to for a while i've sequenced it in my head and i think this is gonna be the best way for me to get ahead and make sure that i can keep applying pressure to my opponents and then i'll cast necromatic selection no oh a board wipe is really really bad to everyone but michael because his ozoth is out there and he has a lot of counters on his side of the field i don't like where this is going are you going to pay for something i don't have any mana to pay so you can have your card uh are you gonna pay for smothering tiles on that card no okay i'm gonna get another treasure i think the scariest part about this is that with the new rules changes michael can actually steal someone's commander from their graveyard when they die i can't let that happen to minsk so i got to do something about this in response i'm gonna sacrifice four of my treasures and i'm gonna cast momentous fall i'm gonna sacrifice minsk to momentous fall so i'm going to draw three cards and gain three life i'll put minsk back in the command zone okay would you like to play for ash percent uh i will pay for s percent and i have no other effects all right i guess we will clean up the board and then i get to choose a creature from any graveyard and i'm going to get my dark side extortionist there you go except now he's a black zombie oh i get it zombie homie oh okay so thanks to this card michael is going to be able to generate a ton of treasures and then rebuild his board first before everyone else which is one of the strongest things you can do after a board wipe i want to use my treasures here so that michael doesn't get even more value out of his dark side extortionist in response to the dark side extortionist trigger because i have three treasures i'm going to sack all of them and i'm going to cast crib swap targeting your emersterm predator [Music] oh awesome oh no this was my plan to get so far ahead i thought my dragon was gonna stick i didn't have this in my game plan why jimmy why yep and that's gone then you get to create a one one colorless shapeshifter creature took them with changeling um okay amber storm predator is gone yay my stuff is gonna stay in the graveyard right where it belongs and right where i have access to it so thanks jimmy so dockside extortionist is gonna give me eight total treasures [Music] wow wow and then amazingly there are even more triggers because of active player non-active player my death triggers are going to resolve first when my realm walker died atla pilani sees the changeling as an egg so i get reveal cards off the top of my library until i reveal a creature card i'm going to reveal a calamity bearer and that's going to go on to the battlefield bummer so this is a really good card but i'm really glad it's got less than five toughness because that ryusay trigger's still on the stack it's just gonna die this is working out pretty good for me and ryusei will trigger because you killed my dragon and there are consequences so it deals five damage to each creature without flying yep so my cleanly bear is gonna die am i dark side extortionist and changeling is going to die that's good so after all that the ozolith is going to get nine plus one plus one counters after everything that has died this turn wow whoa i am so glad i'm already attached oh my gosh at the end of this the board is clear but at least i have my ozolite i have a lot of treasure so i'm feeling pretty good about my position on the board right now okay so what's next well he gets to use eight more mana if he wants it i sure do so i'm gonna spend four treasures and i'm going to cast my commander colleen reclusive painter you'll suffer from my art nice nice when she enters the battlefield she creates a treasure token okay gosh and then i cast yagma thran physician you can't expect to find perfection without a bit of vivisection hail wow because of my commander i get to add four plus one plus one counters to it oh my gosh it's so big yogg moth is great in this deck once i start getting counters everywhere maybe i can discard and proliferate some things also he's a little bit of card draw if i'm in a pinch so i'm still on my game plan and i'm rebuilding at the same time uh and then after all of that i'm going to pass my turn over to you amy okay so i'm gonna have to rebuild my board from scratch and that's gonna be really tough and it's gonna be a mana suck but let's do it anyway i will draw for turn smothering title trigger will you pay for it i will not i have too many things to do good i get a treasure then oh i've been waiting to play this card i will play tara of the peaks when that enters the battlefield it will trigger the great henge which will give it a 1 1 counter and i get to draw a card smothering tides no i'm not going to pay for smothering chives terror of the peace is one of those dragons that's just value town baby it can help me control the board by killing creatures it can hit face it can do whatever i want it to because i am tmat and i command dragons i'll tap for seven mana which will give me enough to cast bladewing the risen oh and when bladewing the risen enters the battlefield i may return target dragon permanent card from my graveyard to the battlefield i'm going to choose morifon the boundless wow when morphon enters the battlefield i will choose dragons surprising no one nice so other creatures that control of the chosen type dragons get plus one plus one so i thought michael had a good recovery after a boardway but amy just blew him out of the water she's got three dragons technically on the board now and that's insane and when i tap the great henge i'm going to gain it to light which brings me to 23. blade wing the risen is going to get a plus one plus one counter and i will draw a card and when morophon enters the battlefield he will trigger the great hinge put a 1-1 counter on morophon and i will draw a card that's a value play for the extra two cards you drew for the great hinge will you pay for smothering dive i have no more mana all right i'm gonna go up to four treasures and finally both of those creatures are going to trigger terror of the peaks so i have 13 damage to a throw to some targets oh my goodness and 13 13 13. i'm really worried that she might be targeting me i did just clear out the board and i do have some creatures out let's hope she's a nice dragon queen so amy's got a ton of damage she can throw around here and we've been going back and forth all game and my life total is precariously low at this point so i think it's time to reach out and make some kind of deal to make sure that it doesn't get pointed at me so i'm just saying amy i will deal with this if you don't direct damage on my face wow lady danger is coming at me with a deal where she can deal with michael's board and i can do what i prefer which is to deal damage to the face this seems great you're speaking my language lady danger done because that is the scariest thing on the board right now let's let's not okay oh no no no no no no no no i don't like the deals happening on the other side of the table and she said she's going to deal with my board what board you need to worry about her stuff what i'm going to do is i want to see what you can do and i want to knock michael down a peg so i'm going to do seven to your face and i'll do six to jimmy well i can't do anything so i'm going to go ahead and take six damage and go to 13. and i will take seven damage going down to 24. with all of that and all my beautiful dragons i will pass my turn to lady geez that was so amazing amy thank you thank you i'm gonna untap my lands here draw for turn smothering tithe gonna pay for it no all right get a treasure so now it's my turn to uphold my part of the bar again but luckily the terms were pretty vague so let's see what we can do now and i mean i keep my word that i will deal with that over there oh chill outcast fell of the mighty destroy all creatures with power greater than michael's commander yes oh you didn't clarify the terms enough so this is technically going to blow up yagmoth but it's also going to blow up amy sport this is a lesson for any of y'all out there making deals make sure your terms are clear read the fine print i played three dragons after a bored wipe only for them to be board wiped no i'm sorry amy oh you don't sound very sorry she doesn't look very sorry either look you were such a huge threat yeah and i did keep my words that's true i didn't keep my word you left out a really important asterisk [Laughter] so that resolves all of my children must be sacrificed yep they all die and because my yogg moth leaves the battlefield i can move the plus one plus one counters from it to the oscillator wow up to 13 yes sir i'm really happy with the outcome of this i thought i was going to lose my whole board state the queen of dragons maybe is dealt with as far as conspiracies against me this one wasn't that bad that about wraps it up for me i have to discard down a hand size and y'all know i've just had such a good grip uh i'm gonna discard smothering tied oh whoa hilarious concerning oh that's turning jimmy okay coming into this turn i'm feeling great everyone just wasted tons of resources wiping each other's board but mine's mostly intact i've got a ton of mana and a lot of card draw i can tell this is going to be a huge turn on my draw step silvan library is going to trigger so i'm going to draw two additional cards i am going to put this one in my hand good for you i'm going to tap three mana and play the stink drinker daredevil stinky stink drinker oh stinky this is the perfect spell to start me off because now i'm gonna be able to cast every single spell at a discount and if i'm looking to have a really big turn this has to be the first spell i play okay uh and that's gonna trigger a guardian project so i'll draw my card that card happens to be an arid mesa which i will pay one life and sacrifice i'm going to 12 i'm going to find a sacred foundry and i'll put it onto the battlefield untapped taking another two damage going to 10. oh my gosh jimmy jimmy so i'm going to play certain flinger that's going to trigger my guardian project so i would draw another card all right we're seeing proof that jimmy is playing with a giant deck for sure he's got some real synergy here so he might be someone to look out for i'll then tap three mana and play the giant harbinger when it comes into play i can search my library for a giant card and put my card on top of it i'm gonna stack it so i find the card before my guardian project triggers pretty good jimmy i'm gonna find mirror entity um okay sure and put it on the top of my deck i will then draw that card because of guardian project then i will pay one white mana and cast mirror entity that's bad whoa guardian project and i'll draw another card so mirror entity is really strong here with the amount of mana he has he can make his creatures huge and with the cirtlin flinger he's gonna be able to start throwing lethal damage around we're in deep trouble and then i will use the rest of my treasures and cast sunrise sovereign oh and draw another card because of guardian project okay what the heck is going on jimmy all of a sudden has five creatures on his board plus the capacity to turn them into huge creatures ooh i cannot abide all right this is the last piece of the puzzle i have everything i need to take over this game all i have to do is make it to my next untap step fortunately it looks like everyone's used their board wipes so i'm feeling great about my position that's going to do it for me i'll pass the turn to you michael okay wow so untap and at my upkeep fraxion arena's gonna trigger and so i'm going to draw a card and lose one life and then i will draw my card for the turn and that's another two triggers on smothering tithe are you going to pay for it i am not going to pay for it all right i will get two treasures that smothering time is out of control yeah it's it's insane after my drawstep versus saga will trigger to chapter two nice i'm going to tap two and tap my urza saga to make a construct all right and put it into the battlefield alright so i'm going to tap my er board and play soul ring there you go tap badlands and den of the bugbear and my soul ring so i can play anger nice uh-oh anger has entered the battlefield and if that gets to his graveyard anything has haste and with the ozolith and all the counters he can put on his creatures that is just bad news for everyone's face i'm gonna go into my combat step and i'm going to put my counters for my ozolith to killean reclusive painter oh my god 14 15. she's been going to the gym really happy with the ozolith it's doing a lot of work and my commander's looking pretty swoll right now i think it's time to start putting the life totals really low so we can maybe close out this game uh i'm going to attack you amy with the killing reclusive painter i am out of blockers you have murdered all of my dragons i take it directly to the face 14 commander damage and that brings me down to nine wow single digits yeah attack the woman whose dragons died i get it they're all in my graveyard i'm not a threat anymore attack jimmy he's the scary boy all right i'll pass my turn over to you amy i will untap and i will drop return will you pay for the smothering tag i will not okay i'll go to three treasure jimmy is the clear threat at this point if it gets back to his turn and he has a chance to untap his mana we are all toast that can't happen michael lady yeah i have a deal for you i will deal with jimmy's you know battlefield stuff that he's got going on if you just let me do it i before his turn so amy's wanting to make a deal anything she says i'm probably going to say yes too especially if it means we're dealing with jimmy's stuff what i want is no one to come for my life total oh so no one to end the game for you yes okay until i deal with jimmy's board until you deal with jimmy's until wait and then afterwards people can kill you that's right i don't care i want your i want your board what's the mother of dragons right there uh hold up is the dragon queen just out to get me here because i don't think amy cares about making it to her next turn she's just trying to wipe me out that's not cool so is that a deal okay yeah uh sure so with my board state i kind of have to go with any idea that amy has going forward i'm a little tentative on it because i did kind of just make her a really bad deal but we gotta deal with jimmy jimmy's board is looking really scary so i really want to deal with that just not this turn i'll pass my turn what that's it you you didn't actually do anything amy oh this probably means it's going to be an instant oh man i hope i can untap maybe i can deal with this i'm being extremely sus and then so it's going to move to my turn yeah all right so i'm going to untap draw for turn smothering tie the trigger no okay i'll make another treasure so with that ominous deal i'll play hammer of nazan and then i will play aura of silence oh so amy seems to have accepted her fate and she's hell bent on bringing jimmy down and jimmy's threat is fully based on creatures so i guess the best thing i can do is play out some non-creatures here hope for the best and that's it that's it okay jimmy no you're not because on your instep well no i will play fault line getting two from the great hinge and gaining two life so x is equal to what x is equal to ten this is so awful i'm going to die but at the same time it's the most jimmy long way to go but i'm jimmy wong in this case i don't want to die i want to win the game no and i think unless you have anything that will just wipe out jimmy and bring me down to one life wow so a play like this is awesome sometimes somebody sees the writing on the wall and they use their last bit of hope and breath to take their opponent down with them and i respect that okay uh in response i'm gonna spend two treasures and i'm gonna cycle a sheltered thicket so i could try card look i know i could have made a more protective deal for myself but i also don't want to ask for too much and i just want to do the really cool thing i play magic the way i play d and d the rule of cool big whammies what's this card though it's such a cool giant okay well i can't do anything uh so it's gonna do 10 damage to all my creatures but more importantly 10 damage to me bye bye mortal and then i died to what i can only classify as my own play style i respect it but i don't agree with it and then i will take ten and go to one and i'll take ten and go to eleven and i take 10 going down to 13. my construct and my anger are going to die oh no my anger just how you planned it so this is great my biggest threat has just been taken out of the game anger is exactly where i want it to be in my graveyard and my one big creature has survived so maybe i can take this game away from everyone put another creature on the board and close this thing out i guess in that case when you pass the turn it just goes straight to yeah what up michael what up though sorry about it i'm gonna untap all my stuff at my upkeep uh fraction arena is going to trigger so i will draw a card i will lose a life going down to 12 and then i will draw a card for turn and my urza saga is going to trigger in response to the saga trigger i'm going to pay to and tap my urza saga to make a construct now i'm going to find a artifact in my library and ursus saga is going to fail to find because both my cool one mana artifacts are already on the battlefield wow you got everything you already wanted and ursa saga is going to be sacrificed okay it's fair game now who are you gonna go for oh yeah you can kill either one of those yeah both actually anger michael basically has me dead on board here but because of my aura of silence i'm gonna be able to take care of one of michael's artifact creatures so i might be able to save amy here alrighty so now i'm going to tap for two mana and i'm going to play horde robber that'll do it all right well there's another creature and it has haste so we're dead ript i'm at and then i'm going to go into combat and i'm going to swing 13 over to lady danger and i'm going to swing a construct and horde robber over to you amy wait wait okay i take it and then through my own hubris of rending the earth with fault line the way i die is by being binked to death by two dinky creatures dead in response i will die yes and then i get painted to death by colleen good game good game thank you good michael okay good game good game so i swing out with everything and i win the game this set is really something else i love the flavor i'm sure people are gonna be so excited to see some of their favorite dungeons and dragons characters depicted on magic cards it's kind of fun to bring my knowledge of d d into the magic community i get to share it with everybody and i get to tell them why these cards actually make sense in the gameplay i think a lot of the dnd players out there are gonna really love magic dnd is all about self-expression and magic gathering allows you to do the same thing so if you're a fighter you might like red green if you're a little rogue a little trickster there's your blue or if you're a cleric you might like white black no matter what play style you like there is a home for you in magic the gathering and i can't wait to sit across from one of you at the table all right well what a game congratulations michael and i got to say congratulations amy yeah what a one just amazing to play with her the whole time as tia matt and also the way she went out handshake to that of course jimmy you would you would appreciate the way that she went out i really appreciated all the role-playing aspects she really did combine the d and d with the mtg it was really cool to see yeah and lady had a great grit stack you said you wanted to build one kind of like it right yeah i got those swords out started doing some stuff i i i want to play against ladies deck a couple While the terms of the deal were......sketch, Ladee didn't up hold her end imo. She said she would deal with Michael's board and she still left up one of his creatures. Also I don't think the deal was bad. If I was Amy I would have pointed the damage at Michael's extra large creature so taking the deal vs. not still ends well for her since the only difference is she got to deal some damage to face.

Since this talks a little about who won putting it in spoilers.

Past that Jimmy was WAY too scared of losing his commander. Like yea thats a thing that could have happened, but Michael gains nothing from taking it, and while his draws would have changed he could have gained enough extra life from Fall to not die to Amy at the end.

Also, Amy's final deal at the end was kind of pointless, like it didn't do anything. Also I think she played it at the wrong time. I guess killing Jimmy there means he has less mana and sees less cards to keep from dying, but waiting for him to attack and maybe kill the other players, Michael in particular, would have been WAY better.
