tonight's guest is wickedly funny I'd say offstage hanging with this guy in real life nobody nobody makes me laugh harder in the world you know I'm from Saturday Night Live the NBC sitcom just shoot me he's currently seen in eight heads in a duffel bag please welcome the mother of all guests David Spade David good to see you Dennis Miller you old so-and-so I can't touch that duffel bag they'll ride first class add that duffel bag thing open this weekend ah I think about 10,000 km not mistake they got the eight part right hate it no entertain weekly gave it an F and out of 26 letters I thought that wasn't mad toward the top now I know the answer to this patellar cried what's your relationship with your mom yeah well you you've met her she loves you she yeah she's a doll and you know she has hung in with me since day one my parents got divorced when I was like four so uh you know my dad just split it was one of those divorces he took off and then he'd show up once a year and give me a nerf football for Christmas thought he's my hero again you know oh thanks dad well it's two colors you spoil me you Rick so because she had the tough part like you said she's there we had three boys you know and she's there I had the measles she takes care of me little league practice help me with homework and then dad pops fine a dune buggy you know now and then puppies and candy beer like hey my mom's in the doorway with her Salem light in a robe you ass-kisser see you Sunday night try coming in during the week yeah so is brutal so I'd say juggle all the responsibilities well she we lived in this like dirty little skanky town outside of Phoenix Arizona I called Casa Grande and it was mostly mexican-americans and I wasn't and it was soon as anyway it was just a weird of like copper mining town in the middle of nowhere and it was always hot and she she had two jobs she couldn't afford a babysitter so what she do a lot of times is this was a very responsible when I look back but she would take us to the desert at one end and drop the three boys off here eight ten and twelve with two guns ammo and a packed lunch she'd pick us up seven miles away to deserted Chevron station when she got off work and so I'm standing there like this you know like t2 and I go uh what am I supposed to do out here she goes shoot shoot things shoot around have fun with your brothers and I got whatever it as like that selling winners de niro film yeah crazy Larry bloody mom are there any Mary crazy left yeah and uh I go what if I get hurt she cuz she got your back teen I'll see you at five chicken she always been supportive of your show bazan spur ations well it didn't always start out showbizzy it was like ah at first I was kind of more nerdly if you can imagine I was uh for me to digest captain swing yeah I was I wasn't quite the Sean Penn s badass I am today so I was in like slip-and-slide Club coin collection club water wiggle sergeant-at-arms but so I had a coin collection which you know I was pretty sheltered so I didn't know how fruity it was you know and I go mom I don't know about this and she goes I think it's cute and you know what I think it's original and it's adorable and I'm all for it and then she'd sneak in my room with a pillowcase full of river rocks or the mascot at night snack go on for you queer I know it's you I see you're mad but somebody else it's nothing so I did go out Freud said nothing out more than hearing your mother say the word hi see she used to say a lot when we have those those uh fake blow out candles on her birthday she did every single year by the time I was three I was like I see a pattern you you know but every time I go I was like two years old on who she goes blow now you're clear they're still mom I didn't know is a trick so anyway so I go out for football and uh and I'm I'm your career you could have blown him up Wow all right homosexuals don't blow each other all right I made that up I was a dream sequence with Larry Hagman I'm distancing myself this whole no anyway so I went out for football and full pads first day I'm like is this tackle that was the first sign I didn't know what I was doing and I was always just Lucas out there you know and I was I was a cross between Lucas and powder Thun pretty much non studs you know coach is like what's with the chalk makeup in the fedora like wow it's hard to explain how often do you see her now I don't I don't get to see her that much I call her a lot and uh she calls her back and leaves like random mom messages like um Davey okay I I finally rented Amadeus you're right it's good it's like mom ketchup 1980 she goes no I know I'm with it she's so cured she goes sigh at the Oscars um that looked like fun it's good to see you and Kris back together that was sweet huh and I'm not gonna saying about your hair uh call me if you want me to talk about it and don't listen to Joan Rivers she's the dingdong sweet you know but my brother you know III come in as much as I can to Arizona I take her out like five times I take a lunch take her to dinner my goddamn brother and he flies in from New York one CEO takes enterprise club and he's a hero yeah I mean Annie took me to price that we walked through all the aisles I was like god dammit IQ we got a phone call line six we got Bobby sue from Lakeside Ohio Bobby sue hi Dennis hi Dave are you doing okay I want to ask you about um what's the best gift you ever gave your mom what's this best gift you ever gave to your mom ah you brought your mom you buy our house uh-huh I bought her a UH and then charged her slumlord prints no you know what it's better than giver one house I just give her a per diem I sent her like a thousand a week just for fun now I just give her I just give her stuff now and then and uh I try to uh I let her be an extra in my movies now I don't know I just try to I give her the gift of love Oh you're not is you're not that Hollywood minute guy are you you're a sweet little love button alright that easy pal do you think is there anything you don't need to know about your mother her do you want to know all fast I don't well you know like when she quit smoking she yeah she gained a little weight which is totally normal but I remember she goes uh she goes uh you know it's just cuz I have an oral fixation I high stepped on something in my mouth I was like oh okay my stepdads in the kitchen winking at me going shake that body hey ma do you find yourself I know you love her so much do you find yourself over the years becoming more like your mom well uh I don't know I know that because she she had such a rough time with us and she's from the old school where she shelters you from all the horrible things growing up like she can't pay Ranchi she never let us know she's super sweet she treats people with respect and she is always like so trusting of everyone to a fault where it hurts her in longer but it's the kind of qualities just aren't around anymore and honestly if I could have some of that I would be in great shape she is probably the best person you love your mommy not yes but like all right mom hope you're asking a lot your rough ride that she she got through it with three boys and did a great job with us and I can't do enough for well she did a good job cuz you're the best man I think your daddy connect David Spade
