praise God I'm glad to be here I'm ready to go I promise so man that was a lot of pastors that stood up that's that's really awesome it really is this is a corporate gathering of this community and you have that kind of representation from that many different leaders that's humbling I could make me cry really quick that that means something to me yeah I see you back here Jeff going like that it's a big deal in Wow bless your hearts for being here see we're the body of Christ and I think sometimes that we get we get mixed up with that sometimes because we don't agree on technically everything that we all each say but there's one thing we can agree on becoming like him becoming loved if we can become loved we can walk in the unity of faith and we can impact or reach and I promise you I'm going to talk about it intense tonight as I'm ready because if you all came I mean this is amazing you guys really came Adam had a vision of renting this place out a long time ago he said it to me and he kept it in front of me I bumped into him what nine months ago or something he said can we do it I really want to go for it I said well let me get a hold of you when I get home look at my calendar I had this I had this slot open I didn't didn't have much open I don't think but I had this slot open and he said I'm gonna go for it he said I think people have come y'all came [Applause] we're gonna preach the gospel you gave me a mic it's too late I'm gonna preach the kingdom of God no I'm excited the gospel is amazing it's life-changing am i excited to be here let's do something I don't even normally do this because of what Adam said I just come prepared my my preparations knowing him but that's that's position our hearts corporately since y'all took the time to come and all these leaders are here and there's a bunch of people that said you never heard me because I want position our hearts so don't just listen to me pray open your heart when I pray I want you to talk to the Lord and I want you to personally tell him hey I'm here even though they said I need to come but I'm here so open my ears over my heart open understanding I want to hear your voice tonight another one just hear this guy from Pennsylvania I want to hear your voice tonight if you want to father me tonight you follow me go ahead you open your heart to him as I pray okay and you make yourself very available to the Lord would you father I just thank you for tonight I thank you for all these precious people from all around mainly this valley I thank you for all these leaders to me it's a big thing not over emphasizing that's a big thing to me that's exciting so I ask you a Holy Spirit to come and have your way if you were standing in my shoes which theological II you are but if you were standing here in person than they handed you a mic you know this crowd you know their faces you know everybody's life if they handed you a mic and said have at it Jesus speak to him for a while what would you say tonight you know exactly what you say and we're asking that that would be the only words that would come forth tonight and that would be the words that were received into all of our hearts ask you to have a corporate affect here tonight bring true unity here tonight concerning your love concerning your great name and concerning loving others in Jesus name Amen amen awesome okay we got a lot to get accomplished today I didn't even ask you is there I don't wanna scare anybody is there a time frame tonight or something I'm not trying to scare you I know I'm not saying I'm gonna go forever I just needed to know I just wanted to be sensitive so we're in here and it's all good okay don't get scared don't leave wait till I preach don't well once I preach you won't leave it's gonna be too good no just kidding I was just in the church I was preaching but six people I said look they're not leaving cuz it's the preaching it's way too good they just got somewhere they need to be everybody's like this he'll I'll just say that's from the pulpit okay y'all ready you know I'm getting you laughing don't you its anesthesia cuz you're about to get cut into pieces that's right we're silly right now you're gonna get cut into pieces get put back together you won't even know what happened you'll laugh the whole way through you leave your change have fresh conviction see things differently people different and you won't even know you lost any blood or had any stitches I love people I didn't fly here to correct you tonight I flew here to tell you who you are look if Jesus thought dying for you on the cross was worth you coming alive it must be a big deal and this thing doesn't have to just do it with your sin it's not just because you sin it's because you have potential you have destiny you have purpose now my whole life my whole life and my circle my whole life in my town people only ever preached the gospel based on my depravity and they always preached that I was a sinner I needed forgiving and God wanted to take me to heaven that's the only way I've ever heard the gospel preached in my entire life up until I got saved when I was 33 so the only reason Jesus came is because I was a sinner it left me a forgiving sinner people the way I heard the gospel left me a forgiving sinner and the hope of heaven some day life was still hell people were still the same I still had issues but at least I'm forgiven and when the trumpet blows I'm going to heaven that's the only gospel I'd ever heard nobody ever told me that he died to restore my value my purpose my potential nobody ever told me that nobody pays a high price for nothing that there's something about my created value and the truth about how he made man and what he made man to be that he's pay him to restore nobody as a child ever told me that he came to save that which was lost not who that Matthew 18 something was lost when man sinned and Jesus came to pay the price to restore it and get it back yeah and what is that something without it being some long mystery all night long its Christ in me the hope of glory his image his nature his love his purpose his motives who he is living inside of me yay that wasn't the reality before it was just me and lonely old me mad at you wishing you were changed in life would be a little better thinking God why don't you just straighten folks out so life goes a little better if you're not careful living in this country today all you'll hear is messages the cater to you messages that serve you all you'll hear if you're not careful there's messages that promise you a better day instead of a transformed a/c if your eye doesn't change your life never will if your perspective doesn't shift and you don't start looking through truth and looking through him you'll never walk in the light as he's in the light if God can take the gospel and cause it to change your eye he's already changing you if he could change the way you see they'll change the way you be in your everyday life and I don't know about you but I don't want a gospel that just serves me I want a gospel that transforms me I want new life through Jesus Christ watch this old things that's the way behold I bet he's talking about perspectives mindsets motives I bet he's not just talking about the forgetting of the bad things we did I'm buddies talking about the why behind our life our reason for being or motive in life come on we did a lot of things to find reputation along the way we did a lot of things to draw identity we did a lot of things so people would say nice things so we could feel better about ourselves we did a lot of things for accolade for prestige for nariah t to be noticed what made Jesus so amazing is he laid down his reputation made himself of nun always glory laid it down made himself of no reputation guys be real we've needed sawed and cleaved to some level of a reputation at the time we can remember and what made Jesus so powerful what took him to the cross Philippians to have the same mind in you that was also in him even though he didn't count it robbery to be called equal with God he didn't expect to be treated that way he made himself a man he humbled himself and came as a man laid down all of his glory and made himself of no reputation so what did he do he fulfilled what man failed man lost this thing God gave man Dominion on the earth he told him to subdue the works of his hand he made him in his image the psalmist is puzzled he goes what is man that you're so mindful of him that you would visit him that you would consider him that you'd give him dominion over the world who is this man and what's such a big deal about this guy he's not looking at man for what we've known man to be he's looking a man for what he created man to be and when you look at Jesus you see a picture of that because Jesus didn't just say sing to me and pray to me when you're overwhelmed he said follow me so that tells me he modeled a life I was created for and he didn't ask me to just live it he put his life inside of me he gave me this wonderful friend he's the spirit his name is holy and he lives inside of me cuz he wants to it's a good deal it cleaned me out their pastor Stevie said I'm gonna clean this man up sin evicted me from my home I'm gonna deal with the problem and move back in Christ in you is the hope of glory please don't get tricked into praying a prayer to go to heaven that's not that's an American gospel I promise you it serves you it doesn't change you it doesn't keep you from being angry at your boss and yelling at your spouse praying a prayer to go to heaven doesn't transform you heaven come in coming into you that's a different story heaven coming into you is different go into heavens impersonal you don't you can live your whole life with a confession of faith to go to heaven and never even know God and this is eternal life John 17:3 to know the only true God eternal life is knowing him because you can't be changed without knowing him but you can't know him and not be changed I read my Bible it's first John 4 since beloved let us love one another why because love is of God in every one every one that loveth born if God knows God he who loveth not just doesn't know God doesn't say you don't pastor doesn't say you don't need worship doesn't say you don't see your need for a savior and don't believe that you're forgiven through his shed blood see the go isn't forgiving and going to heaven the goal is becoming love the whole finished work of the cross is you and I becoming loved and if we miss becoming loved we've missed the whole point and guess what love does it doesn't seek its own and because it doesn't seek its own it's not bothered by the wrongs that are done to it then I wonder why we're so busted up by one another because maybe we're in this thing for what we can get from God instead how we can become more like him maybe we're in this gospel for it to serve us instead of our lives to get transformed maybe that's why we can quote scripture and stove animosity in our hearts mad at our boss praying for God to wacky knock him off his high horse sir I'm gonna get a new job oh I'm gettin a little real with you right now I'll smile the whole way through cuz I'm not mad at nobody I promise you I'm not mad at nobody I'm super excited about the gospel He shed his blood and gave His life so his life could be in me and I could walk in the light of seized in the light yeah that's first John 1 first John 2 even goes a little farther it says anyone that abideth in him ought to walk even as he walked whoa that sure beats a Christian confession what could you do to say I'm saved and going to heaven and I can't love you is our whole goal to get everybody in the world to pray a prayer and repeat a prayer or is the transformation of life see going to church will never change the world becoming loved will and what I've learned is we haven't been taught to become loved we've been taught to get saved the big push is a street corner prayer to get you to heaven a message that serves me and just might not transform me the whole goal of the gospel is your transformation the Bible says you could have knowledge of all mysteries not some all have faith to move every mountain that ever stands in front of you if you don't have love you missed the whole point got nothing when today's Church faith to move all mountains and knowledge of all mysteries it's a spiritual icon that's the keynote speaker at every world conference you're pressing into the crowd to get prayer from that person and the Bible uses that highest expression of all knowledge of all mysteries and faith to move every mountain if he doesn't have love he's got nothing 1st Timothy 1:5 the goal of our instruction the purpose of the commandment depends what translations you read is love if we miss love we've missed the whole point and God is so God is love Genesis 1 verse 26 let us make man in our verse 27 so God created man he made man in His image in his own likeness he made them both man Alan good news ladies yay here created value is not to serve the man your creative value is the image of God in the image of God you all serve one another cuts greater love hath no man than this you lay down your life so you don't need use abused or live at the expense of here's what happened God made man in His image he made man in His image god is love he made man to love man's fulfilled in God yes no needs vacuums or deficits you can't tell me does Ephesians says that we are to know watch this know the love of Christ which passes knowledge and that's to be filled with all the fullness of God well what's that look like all the fullness of God in me or it's not vacuums it's not deficits identity crisis insecurity esteem troubles it's not needy and self-willed and wanting to know the love of Christ is to be fulfilled complete I studied out the word you know what it means a house with no empty rooms it means a town with no empty houses yay a town with no empty houses God's actually prophesying it's possible to have a town with no insecurities no identity crisis is no deficits no drawing your identity from one another because you already found yourself through him no needing one another so bad to find out who you are that each other can let you down and break your heart and now everybody else is the reason you can't be like Jesus that's deception oh come on I told you the swords coming but see I smile the whole time I cut it just makes the cut so easy it's a smooth cut man just slides in like butter hmm hot knife oh come on we find our identity for now you go to church get let down get hurt brother so and so mad don't go I shouldn't people on planes with people all the time oh I used to go to church it's the common well I don't go anymore I used to Oh a bad experience oh yeah I never go and I'm not blaming the church I'm saying we have a wrong view we go to church for what we can get out of it instead of who were called to become and because sub honestly we have expectations on each other they're constantly felt so we usually have issues not a move in the spirit but we pray for a better job pray for blessings pray for provision cast our bread in the water and wait for a bigger loaf to come back but man when it comes to love than one another so if the whole goal of the gospel was becoming loving you were the enemy you try to mess with people's love when you try to you try to lace a self-centered gospel into a surrendered message and all the sudden you'll teach people to be Christians for their own sake for their own gain they did a survey in America why people go to church 60 I think 7% don't quote me on it I think 67% pastors said to hope to assure the provision and protection or well-being of me and my family we're Christians for the well-being and protection or provision and protection of those that matter to me most that's the reason I'm a Christian well no wonder there's courage people go to church read your Bible discouraged Christians is unscriptural we think discouragements normal and everybody's gonna have the moment no that's why you have yours take the runway away the plane can't land change the way you think and you'll change the way you live the only reason can be discouraged is because your focus is where on who on you what you're going through how it's affecting you what it's putting you in the middle of how hard it's going to be to move through this and how you're imposed on and how your inconvenience and how you wish it wasn't this way and me and I and oh and AH and now we're Subscribe and God's so amazing and we're standing there like this wondering if it's ever going to work out and it's going to go better for me no sudden you have a right to be discouraged because of a lack of understanding and my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge so in all your getting get understanding but you grow up here and what you don't know won't hurt ya it's kind of confusing why because we were trained in lye you were home schooled in the wrong home you were trained by the wisdom of the world you were brought up by false teaching you lived in a world that said don't get your hopes up it was a self-preservation look it'd be great if that would happen but just in case it doesn't I just hate to see you hurt and get so beat up and so broke just the family I want to get my hopes up to self-preservation sentimental emotional all about me and how I Bible says get your hopes KY high I was his faith is the substance of the things you hope for Jesus Hebrews six Hebrew sick here's a good one Hebrews 6 says hope is the anchor of your soul passes through the veil into his presence so if you don't get your hopes up the Bible says you're not doing well but if you want to get into that self-preservation thing then I guess Jesus isn't the one that's preserving you you want to defend yourself I guess he's not your rock of defense you know why he's my rock of defense it's not cuz he smokes everybody that sneaks up behind me he changes my view of people why's everybody believe they have special dibs on Godin he's just their bodyguard no he teaches you how to love not your own life unto death and it's powerful and it overcomes the devil because he has nothing to poke because you're dead to you so he can't poke you he can't make it about you anymore cuz you didn't wake up for you you woke up for his image you woke up for his nature he woke up for his love and you woke up to love one another that's a pretty untouchable place if that ever becomes real to you but if you're woke up to be loved you'll probably let down if you woke up to be needed you're probably codependent and caught in the maps if you're finding your values for one another you probably don't have a very high view of you because you're only as good as people see you and are doing you and you're constantly in the rat race and it's time to not be a rat because even if you feel like you're winning you're still a rat it's just the thought look that race this is zero whoever wins that race is still a rock and that made to be a rat you're made to be like Jesus so there's no mountains there's no valleys there's no hotshot there's no lowlife every mountain down every valley up I read this stuff in my Bible everybody works the same price everybody has the same price on their head but blood of Jesus that means everybody in the room same exact value you don't pay the same if it ain't worth go to Walmart tell me there anyplace checks and barcodes the store I'm looking at humanity same price for every head so if you've the devil with you with the devil what would you get people to do question their value get their steam crushed by the age of six eight ten get them laughed at in grade school get them made fun of get them in your introverted or a fighter get them in survival mode get their steam trashed exploit humanity exploit sexuality exploit figures and facials and all this stuff and then get everybody under the pressure of one and other sound familiar sound like anything anybody's to know your with on the earth yeah and the whole time you got destiny waiting to live inside of you and the image of God wanting to shine through you and we get tricked into caught up with who was and who didn't who said and who and how I feel and what I not anymore friend I've been living in the way whatever you see in me right now I promise you it's real you'll find out one day if you don't believe me now it doesn't matter one day you'll find out it's real but I've been this way for 22 years and I'm getting worse because I'm more sure than I've ever been and I know him a little bit more than I used to and knowing hims eternal life not preaching a sermon yeah you already figured out I wasn't preaching a sermon dinya if I am I'm way off my notes by now probably couldn't hardly memorize all this anyway so we probably ought to just speak out a relationship and knowing him huh tonight seems like a good night for that nothing wrong with studying your bio on the topic and getting spruced up on your knowledge there's just a grace of my life he told me he's gonna put me in front of people give me revelations of love and righteousness he said however I don't ever want you to read your Bible to preach his sermons with the Lord told me 22 years ago never read your Bible to preach a sermon only read your Bible to know me and only ever speak out of who I am in your life that's why I'm passionate confident and can't calm down so if you have a seminary background it's that's going you need to learn how then caught you're wrong I don't know how and I never will you'll find out tonight I don't know how to land I don't know how to wrap up a message because I'm not preaching a message I'm pouring out my heart so I best I'll just stop at a certain point and leave you in the air I I don't know how to wind down and land the control towers never said bringing in down time to bring it in land a brother I don't know how to land I know how to take off and fly I'm told how to land and seeing that we'll be here tomorrow at least I will I don't know if you will already be in the air when we get here we won't have to take off again you know how it gets on the runway and stuff if you fly we'll just be there when's the truth ever change Wednesdays love ever fail when is it truth about what he accomplished ever change this is not a slam this isn't some just lame thing that we say all the time up from the pulpit but honestly if we really get this we should be overwhelmed people like I think we got our eyes on other things without realizing I'm not talking to a roommate hypocrites you didn't come here because you're trying to miss God I promise you love God the best you understand God and most of you are doing the best you know how I know that to be true I even feel that in the room when we walked in the night started I am NOT talking to a room of hypocrites but isn't it amazing how life speaks louder than truth when truth makes you free and all of a sudden the way it's going is how you're doing instead of who he is in you and what you're called to and created for next thing you know you're caught up in this rat race just trying to get things to change and people to change and circumstances to change and you're only okay if they do the next thing you know your whole prayer list and all you're using faithful is things to go better reducing without realizing it how it's going reducing that to Lord because that's what governs your life so most people are as good as it's going so how it's going is governing their life the supreme ruler the voice of their life is their circumstances when you squeeze an orange what do you get pretty simple answer I'm not a deep guy if it was apple juice that would be weird why isn't it weird when you squeezed a Christian and get everything but Christ man that ought to be weird it ought to be just so weird to walk up to a Christian and mistreat him and have anything but Jesus flow out of them see because when you really understand what I'm preaching you don't have any room for a bad day ever again this isn't an overstatement pay attention don't turn me off please Bible teachers two or three of you please don't turn me off I hear that you have no mortise in the height phrase you have no room for a bad day you only have opportunities to shine it's never about how it's going for you it's how it's going through you it's never what they did to you it's what he did for you it's never how you feel it's who you've become see if Jesus took the attitude on himself that we live from he's never making it to the cross Jesus had some tough days if we were in his shoes thank God he didn't put us in his shoes he put him in our shoes he wants to be the dominating factor could you picture this could you picture Jesus doing nothing but right do you think that's the way it went down do you think Jesus only did right do you think he ever crossed the line or had a shaded area or do you think he was just pure pure and his right is right Oh ever be it's not a trap but you can you can shake your head and not be afraid see tricking us what's he hardly appreciated for all that good was he gossiped about back bit over and talked about constantly I mean there's evidence in your Bible in some sections where it looks like he went into Capernaum and just like white sickness right out of the city like he must have just had this healing hoedown thing and everybody's like and then they're like I wonder what devil's possessing him is anybody with me do you understand that we've grown up analytical don't let anybody catch you that's a gift people talk to me to say well brother I'm very analytical I'm like stop boasting in that that's not from the Lord intellect a godly reasoning a healthy common knowledge IQ totally cool with a high IQ be a genius it doesn't have to be a curse but analytical that's what happened to Eve when the serpent was talking here's my point God never gave you the ability to talk yourself out of him to think long enough that you rationalize yourself out of truth that happened when he followed the serpent and then became subservient to that voice and that mindset don't just call it human reasoning analytical analytical is this Jesus going hmm you know I know I'm supposed to love and I'm the savior of the world but you know it's really hard sometimes I mean having nobody appreciates you day in and day out I mean you heal their sick you fill their bellies with food and the only reason they come back is to get more food you raised their dead and then they want to kill you I mean cut me a break Barabbas he's a murderer I raised the dead he calls this conspiracy I bring peace they wouldn't release him and kill me I'll be dawn I am NOT gonna die on a cross for these confused people they don't appreciate me not once said a kind word even my own disciples they act like that for me but as soon as I'm struck they're going to scatter already stalled in prayer I don't care how much Peter says he'll die for me he's wrong and all of a sudden you get such a case built through human reasoning that you take a stand in something that's not his heart and all sudden you get so busy being right that you found wrong because if God came right we're a wave Ron but he came righteous what's the difference he's so lean on us in a view that even though we were wrong he made us right did you get that he judges in righteousness no matter how wrong you've been he says I know who you are I know what you're created to be I know your potential and I know what you'll look like if you yield to me and I move inside of you and you surrender your life's worth paying for your way worth more than you realize and I'm gonna judge you as if you've never sinned through the blood of my son because I think we gave in to sin and I'm gonna put my life in you I'm gonna put my spirit in you and I'm gonna start you brand new as if you never lived before cuz on your darkest day I still knew who you were and my love has never failed cuz I don't see you for where you've been I see you for where my son's been and I see you for what I created you to be and what I called you to and I love you watch this I love you forgive them father they just don't know who they are and what the loo I added the who they are because it's in there if you paraphrase it forgive them father they the best Jesus can do on the biggest act of injustice ever committed towards a man the biggest act of injustice that ever will be the most unfair thing that ever went down since the history of time and the best love could say forgiving they're confused everything you made him to be got perverted well what happened god made man man to love God made man to love well then how come were so needy why do we all need love so bad because when Adam sinned what he was made to be died the day you eat the trees the day you surely die everything I made you to be is going to be lost you're gonna get cut off from the source of love and become in need of love you're gonna be a God unto yourself you're not just going to sin if you eat that tree you're gonna take on the nature of God's enemy and separate yourself from me and all that I am the chin you won't be in you in Romans 5 says that every man since that sin since that day was born into Adam and you must be and we turned it into a prayer that benefits me and sets me up for heaven self-serving instead of transforms me back to the beginning back to truth back to why we're really here look man was made for God's image read chapter 1 the reason there's a man on the earth is to be found in the image of God and friend if you're not pursuing the image of god no wonder life's a grind if you're just trying to make life work for you or get God to work for you he is not a genie in a bottle he's not a busboy he's not table waiter here's a father and like father like son come on this is born again skip the life of God on the inside of you look Jesus said if any man come after me Matthew 16 let him pray this prayer make sure his name gets written in a book called life that is not what it says anywhere that's what we came up with because it sounds right and it feels evangelistic and our hearts are right and our intentions are good but it's misguided Jesus did not say if any man come after me let him pray a prayer called the sinner's prayer so he can go to heaven he said if any man come after me let him deny him ain't that something how different the message got well why is deny yourself first because you were never made for you you were made for His image you don't put metal in a microwave read the manufacturer's handbook if you put metal in a microwave you'll destroy the microwave if it wasn't made for that read the manufacturer's handbook on humanity you live for yourself you'll destroy your life and you'll blame it on everybody else and justify your life being less than Christ and make it others fault but you'll stand before God an answer for a lack of faith and understand you my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge not for the being treated wrong Jesus isn't destroyed no man was ever treated more wrong here's the name above every name is the keys of death hell and the grave and he was mistreated pastor Maura more than any man ever was and ever will be the purest that ever was and man couldn't destroy him man couldn't change him man couldn't break him down you say well yeah because he was Jesus no cuz he was loved see in our minds we make him a special man and forget what makes him special is he was loved and we weren't we grew up thinking for ourself come on guys you're angry before you can speak a language turning all kind of colors you weren't made to turn pull that lollipop out of a two-year-old's mouth when it's tasting good and you will see the fall of man you won't hear him say hair take it brother lick until you're done now what is mine is yours you won't hear that why won't you hear that out of a three-year-old because he was born into Adam has to be born again it's not just his parents didn't teach him right you could teach him the rest of their life to not do that and that feeling is going to drive them because every man for himself mine who I get to pick where why you're telling me that's what God saw in the garden when he made man in His image no we were trained by a lot homeschooled in the wrong home deny your you're gonna deny yourself watch this if you don't deny yourself you'll never walk out Christ I listen you can confess you're a Christian and I'm not chained you're going to hell or you ain't forgiven of your sins and going to heaven that's not even my that has nothing to do with what I'm even talking about you can confess you're a Christian all your life and never deny yourself and never walk out and fulfill what he paid for ever and live a life of consternation and frustration and peaks and valleys and eyes and lows and have a justification for it and the truth is it's because you've been deceived and you're living life for something it's not for you're trying to get through instead of shine what's the matter if you treat me wrong if I'm not living for you to treat me right come on man if I woke up to Dan didn't need anything from you then how can you do me wrong if all I did was wake up to love you where can we ever have a problem so if you treat me less objects realize you don't really understand who you are and see clear Who I am or you wouldn't be living that way I should care for you not get mad at you I should have mercy not frustration see we don't realize how self-willed we've become we don't realize how we're making our spouse depend on our well-being and some of us are praying God if you would just change my spouse life would be a whole lot better no life one because you'd have something else in your way because you have something blocking your I my spouse has no ability to keep me from being blessed the only thing my spouse can do is make a greater draw in Christ if she's having a troubled day because I didn't wake up for her to love me I woke up to be like him now come on I'm messing with you now I'm gonna find out if you're in faith in Idaho did you wake up for people to treat you right or did you wake up to be like him see now before you heard this message nut you might have been praying for your spouse to change but I've learned that 90% of people change praying for people to change because they know if the person would change it would make their day go better not because they have mercy for the person it's because the persons are thorn in their flesh or soul or something people they've been emotionally abusing me for so long you can only emotionally abuse somebody that doesn't know who they are dead giveaway could you imagine Jesus emotionally abused I created them and they don't even love me nothing was made that was an A through me and they don't even know me I'm so hurt I do nice things they say bad things could you get real with me he's carrying a cross for doing nothing wrong because he's trying to redeem the truth Bible says Isaiah 52 Lord more than any of the sons of men that means when they were done whooping Jesus he looked worse at their hands than any man has never looked at the hands of men Lord more than any they used to burn people on steaks on crosses you power buncha wood under human being on a cross and you burn that wood up over that human being and burn that cross when that fire goes out you tell me you can tell if they're even a male or female let alone who they were be real with me he was marred more than anyone ever and all he ever did was right why did it have to be so sadistic seemingly why did whoever watch the movie the passion pretty hard to watch pretty hard to come for him but I say every Christian ought to make themself watch and get real because it was way worse than the passion this stuff should put integrity house that Jesus is so right and they're so wrong and he doesn't let their wrong change his right because he staged righteous he keeps making wrong things right wrong things right why through his love through his love not his reprimand his goodness if there's a hardcore preacher in here you know what I mean by that well he ain't all about love brother it's about judgment too you show me one scripture that says the judgment of God leads men to repentance it's the goodness of God you're walking in enough judgment you're not walking in His goodness because you're reaping what you're selling God doesn't even have to do anything man you are making a bad bed to begin with just this just the soul just to state of your emotions when you believe wrong a wholehearted following that's what disciple means Jesus willingly got beat beyond description to pay the price to get him back inside of us and get the image back oh man because when man sinned he became a form of what he was created to be and the image was lost now Jesus puts himself in us and Christ in you Christ in you Hopa gari look up the word glory guess what it means any manifest made seen attribute of God and he revealed attribute of God as the glory of God revealed the Christ in you is the hope of God being seen and known there's a little more than a Christian confession it's a life I live it's walking in love it's making peace it's showing mercy it's overtaking a harsh word with a kind word so letting love cover a multitude of sin not getting heartbroken and deceived not letting people decide who you are not letting your go through decide how you're doing but his go through already settled it you said well you don't know what I'm going through what about what he went through have you considered or your eyes still tricked and fixed on yourself now you're trying to take your life to God instead of his life to you and now you're just praying about all these needs when your greatest need is seeing different your war is not flesh and blood your fights not with the devil your fight is the good fight of faith it's believing the truth in the midst of it all and never losing sight of why you're here and who he is in you and who you've become now that he came your fight Church in this valley is the good fight of faith continuing to believe why you're here why you woke up this morning and why is inside of you in the face of it all yeah be honest how many of us have never grown to a strong truth of that to begin with let alone stay focused on that some of us are enduring surviving just praying for break through the stones rolled away friend he has risen your biggest breakthrough is comes your biggest detriment is not seeing yourself for why he came and walking out the truth because the truth makes you free I don't have another day to live in unforgiveness I've been forgiven of everything I've ever done you think I'm gonna hold you accountable for a flesh deficit now that he came and wiped me clean and filthy for the Spirit and wrote me and righteousness you think I'm gonna look at you for Fault and failure critique you presume on you judge you not today friend tomorrow's not possible either I'm gonna look at you and see the best in you and believe that you have a greater potential if you really knew who you were you won't be living the way you are so my heart I'll to cry for you not get mad at you I want to feel mercy for you not judgement and arrogance and self-righteousness come on here's a good barometer Jesus taught me a long time ago if you can't take your mind set in your language and put it in the mouth of God and make it sound make sense if you can't take the way your thinking and feeling and put it in God's mouth and exchange it and make it fly and take it out of your mouth could you picture Jesus sitting at the right hand of the Father and he's looking down humanity and he knows that half the Christians in this room know to do right and we still did some things wrong and he looks at the father and sister can you believe that I mean how strong do I have to convict them Lord when are they going to ever change I mean how much do we have to just forgive and show mercy and forgive I mean what one chance to chance 10 12 25 what I mean I know your love never fails and endures forever but come on when do you get real when are you in Abel humanity I mean I'm feeling a little hurt right now because they know better in their heart they know better father reason with me let's look at scripture here it's they're not for me that are against me if they don't gather to me they scatter they're proven they really don't love me because they have strong conviction Holy Spirit's doing his job and they know better and they're doing it anyway well if I can't trust them now how can I trust them ever i just they're not for me they don't even love me they could care less what they just want you to bless them make them fat in the land and give them a better job they don't really care for me can you picture Jesus and God having that conversation I bet we've had a lot of conversations in that tone with our friends and then if you're not sharp you know what you'll save after your friend because you understand their pain yeah I can't believe they're doing that to you I'd be mad too that's no sense they should know better well if you can't trust him now you're right you know I think you need to just move on I think you need to protect yourself I need you think you need to you know you deserve more you only have one short life anyway happening can you hear God talking like that at a table with the twenty-four elders then why is that language so acceptable among us why is it in pastoral counseling let alone friendship circles see here's what I've learned hurting people gravitate to people that hurt and then everybody licks each other's wounds nobody's ever healed but accommodated to stay the same they're supported and all of a sudden the highest grace you reduced yourself to receiving is that somebody cares and understands but there's no transformation your pains just qualified which means you'll be in pain tomorrow so tomorrow's always yesterday for years until that changes not been insensitive except to the lie I'd love to kill that thing tonight you're gonna tell me you're gonna tell me that Jesus died on the cross when I was completely wrong to make me completely right and I should have one valid reason for not being totally overjoyed Joey and expressively in shine as a light you don't tell me there's one human factor on the earth out way what the Son of God accomplishes to put his life inside of me or have we reduced this to well-being better circumstances answer my prayer lord I promise you in this country we've got tricked into preaching a gospel that serves us instead of transforms us some discouragement is qualified because we haven't been served because we're going through a hard time keep me in prayer brother well during his place maybe not jesus's wilderness he had angels ministered join came out in the spirit and power trust the devil with the word he must be over in the Israelites wilderness where they said it'd be better for us it'd be better for us it'd be better for us probably on a shift into the new covenant Fabiana shift over here in jesus's wilderness cuz he went in and fulfilled in 40 days but they failed for 40 years he got water baptized Holy Spirit immediately led him into the wilderness to fix some things up just fulfill what man failed he goes into the same wilderness same temptation same devil different mindset he comes out with the anointing and power they wandered never met the promise and died that's a different outcome wander for 40 years never reached the promise and died there in your wandering forty days out in the spirit and power open the scroll Spirit of the Lord is upon me he hath Luke for he hath and yo it you're riding to get some article written in some magazine or do some TV show be some super preacher you ain't off to a good start spear the Lord's upon me I'll feel that I think the Lord's here hey come out that canal just like every other man trying to pay the price for man had to nurse on Mary my mother I had to trust oh man and then I finally get to this day where I'm ready to launch out row and do what I'm here for and they want to kill me beam me back up do you see how hilarious those mindsets sound when you put them in the Lord's mouth they all sound just as hilarious in your mouth served instead of a gospel that transforms because the way we overcome isn't the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony because that's what we always say how do you overcome plan what about this money thing G is that in your Bible it's revelations and it's there but we never say the last part the third and final part that makes the first two so powerful and they loved not their own lives on to death now be real with me most Christians are Christians for their sake not his name because if it was really his name your character your attitude your disposition means everything to do and you come out from among them and be separate and stop calling things normal that you weren't created for yeah oh that's a good BAM come on I said that with a smile if you really understand that that's why you're a Christian I think we're Christians for our sake I think we got tricked into being Christians for what he can do for us and how he can make our day go better that's why we haven't learned how to lay down our life and surrender and love each other if any man any woman come after we let first deny what second pick up your that means don't let sin against you producing in you don't repay evil for evil overcome evil with good don't let what man one man said Trump what one man said don't let what one man did Trump what one man did don't search same way you don't know what it was like when I was growing up you're not growing up you're 35 stop look I'm sorry I'm sorry your dad wasn't there I've heard it all cuz I have the same story my dad wasn't there he's alcoholic he could touch strong at a young age four years old mom's sick 40 years dies young in my opinion everybody has the story but that's not you why do I need to be so sensitive to that when it's wrongly identifying me and giving me permission to not believe the truth that's waiting to make me free I'll tell you what cuz we have no identity in life because it's lost through Adam and we're trying to find our identity through our story no you find your identity through his story you find yourself in him and then it ain't no more we you don't know what it was like when I was growing up cuz that's supposed to be get anyway your new creature in Christ old things passed away all things are live unless you just want sympathy unless you want somebody to care nobody can make up for who wasn't there for you but he made up for the deficit of you not knowing who you were and once you know who you are it doesn't matter if your dad was an alcoholic and never said I love you and told you you'd fail he was wrong and if I'm trying to drink out of a dry cup of course I'm thirsty why don't you drink out of a well that never runs dry I'm actually drink out of this river this thing that's springing up one drink from this cup Jesus said if you don't asking me how to give you a drink and one drinkin you'll never thirst oh if I'm trying to find my identity through my past through my parents are you kidding me so everybody says well you don't know what I've been going through stop deceiving yourself that's the worst thing you could say to yourself cuz common knowledge buys into it and believes it rationale believes it and people that understand your pain buy-in and listening to your whole story and the best they do is wrap it around you sympathize with you cry with you and you think it's compassion and then say well let's pray [Music] about what and we think as we're praying it's spiritual Jesus isn't even in the conversation because you're keeping things alive that are supposed to be dead you're considering the past you're not Lot's wife you're his stop looking back look up from whence comes your help you're looking in the wrong law Paul said there's one thing I do to apprehend just one not 3-1 I forget what lies behind why so I can reach forward to Elijah head and attain to what he obtained me for Wow see the paradox is if we have to be sensitive and going around the room and sharing buddy's story at best we'll find out in this room who spent through the motel and then what find out who's through the second most hell and the third and have more sympathy on them than the one who's been through the twenty fifth motel even though that's identifying them and it's just as much hell to them because it's their story and then turn around and sing it's all about heaven I want it to sound foolish so you never believe it again I'm not being insensitive I have a story to see when you look at me you can't tell my dad was an alcoholic you never say I love you Kenya you can't tell my mom was sick for 40 years that I carried her to bed and changed her diapers Kenya you can't tell that I was touched cromoz at about age four by babysitter Kenya you can't tell that you can't tell that my marriage was over you can't tell that my boy did drugs and my daughter made a bad mistake in through eight years of her life into nowhere land you can't tell that my wife was in the coma with severe brain damage laying on ICU you don't see any of that when you see me that's just a piece of our lives you can't see that though can you why you're not supposed to it's not who makes me who I am it's not what makes me me what makes me who I am is who he is in me in the face of all that and that's all you see you're supposed to love not your own life unto death and then the blood and the word of your testimony has great power if you just claim the blood and the word of your testimony and love your life you've already lost it read your Bible if you save your life you've lost it but if you lose your life for his sake you found it what unless you love less your mom your dad your spouse your children your houses your land and yes even your own life you'll by no means ever fulfill what you're here for be my disciple and most people are Christians for the well-being of that list and let anything go wrong on that list and they're discouraged and don't even pray anymore and upset and I got questions for God now I'm mad and where was his faithfulness oh I'm bringing it right now come on be honest with me he said unless you love less this intimate list that were sentimentally wrapped around unless you love less that list you by no means fulfill why you're here most people are Christians for the well-being of that list now you keep praying for the protection of your family you keep believing for the blessing of your parents and all that good stuff but if you're in this for that and that's your motive you'll be over your shoulder all the time you'll live in fear and if something ever does happen you'll fall apart you won't stand in faith if your wife's ever in a coma you'll wipe out and have twenty questions not one revelation so you don't try to build a house when the Hurricanes blowing you build the house when you hear the word he's called a wise man he hears and he becomes what he heard a foolish man hears and does nothing with it thinks about it at best but the storm comes to both men not because they opened a door I wonder why I'm going through this I wonder what do I open I wonder why God a one way to do the storm comes to every man wise or foolish it's not because you open the door all the time he comes for the word sink he ain't afraid of you he's afraid of what you can become he's coming for the word sink without the word you're nothing you'll flick you like a flea buddy but with the word he's coming for the word saying oh he loved you too just keep going to church and speak a language but he don't want you to become nothing he wants you to fall down when the storm comes he wants you to cry and how come me why do I gotta go through this he wants you to go to an airport miss your flight and get all over spiritual I wonder what I did wrong to deserve this what are you trying to teach me God you miss a flight and you're spiritualizing and you make it all about your circumstances so you missed the flight love everybody around you too tight a bad mood go love somebody come on I know how we are in the church I've been around us we want the best parking we want the best see you fly god forbid you sit in the middle you forget somebody has to why can't it ever be you Jesus Helena cross and didn't deserve to you want front row parking if you can walk park in the back you want a green light you forget somebody's as red a fuses green and you want to mark spirituality by favor and blessing spiritualities by defeating and destroying the works of the devil your work of the devil was sin and sin is self-centeredness oh man i'm we've just snapped back an ounce shouted he says don't ever repay evil for evil well they started in well they deserve it well I wouldn't get it a bit it everything got perverted through sin everything took a 180 you say well I don't live at the expense of nobody watch this watch this let me simplify this for you so there's no mistakes in this room you live in a family of four you live in a family of four you go to church and you're a Christian you live in a family of four you cop an attitude for an afternoon that puts pressure on the other three and forces them to have to respond to make a decision you're living that their expense you've become unedifying within your own home and you become willful and all about you it's manipulation and control at at best it's self-centeredness and Satan's roaming around like a roaring lion seeking who can devour he could care less of you of both hands raged in worship he cares how well you love so he sees you worshiping he don't care he sees your flag spinning he says wow whatever he cares if you love he cares if you're being willful and self-centered in the fabric of your own home he cares if you're building blocks for the kingdom or the building blocks for his you just got an attitude whatever when you started it you don't want to get a grip on your heart and you want to make your attitude somebody else's fought if God lived that day that way for one day he's in a terrible mood if God lived the way we lived in our lives for one day we don't have hope when you started it one of God's that we just started it I get one commandment don't eat the fruit of the tree of every other tree you can ain't every other tree and what did you do eat the tree I told you not now you started it and look what you've done to everybody else because of your willfulness look how everybody else has had to pay Tahoe with you well that's pretty sobering in there just wonder if he thought like we were trained to think by life he says you that think you're wise in this age you better assume to know nothing determined to know nothing so you can become wise because he thinks different and we were talked attitude social media be very careful so many people out there getting so sucked in to all the attitudes and what-ifs and all the debates and all the dead and flying out opinions be very careful you're like that background [Music] kingdom here's the deal here's a good barometer if your attitude and your mindset and your reasoning isn't producing life and producing life than others it can't be the Lord because he came to give you life and life more abundantly let me see my pastors again just show me the pastor's real quick just hands real quick I know you were one right there cuz I like your beard I spotted you dude so okay we're gonna watch pastors just give me a head nod or go like this if I'm telling the truth a high 90 some percent of our counseling is trying to resolve people conflicts and people struggling over issues situations mostly involving others conflicts people's stuff dealing with life am i right wondering if the gospel would teach you to wake up and nobody owes you a thing hello see if you listen to pastors go preach brother preach here's the trap if you're a pastor if you don't understand what I'm preaching and you start for a second understanding their pain and start feeling like they were treated unfair you might actually accommodate the lie and not even realize and you actually could give them a reason to be discouraged because somebody won't change well then God should be so discouraged because there's people that never change see if you put it in the arena of God and it doesn't fit don't let it fit in your arena it's nine o'clock up there line this thing down I just barely even started I feel like a madman on the inside I I got so much in me I got a we'll hit it tomorrow hard because we want to do a couple things tonight listen this is the gospel if any man come after me everybody's invited let him deny himself that's beautiful water baptism do you know what a baptism slipped out of the average church the average church across the country doesn't even talk and he's loved and all I can do is think for myself and what she did to me and how she trashed my life and broke our covenant and hurt me I'm on it a little see you can hardly preach that in the church because we have more rights than we admit but how do you deny yourself and have so many rights I'm confused and confusions not of God's does somebody help me with the wisdom of God how can you deny yourself and have so many rights you have one right when you deny yourself you deny your rights to obtain one guess what your one right is to be like him it's called born-again living like you've never lived before dying to the old man and living to the new Colossians says in 3 let's just really quick to nail our clothes we're gonna we're gonna go get on pray for some people here so well we don't have to I want to and Jesus will let me he will he's so good have to understand that sometimes it's not always sometimes the Holy Spirit gives you strong direction and leads you into something or tells you to do something sometimes you can do something that you notice the heart of God and he's right with you I think we get sometimes we're praying for a yes and you probably have a yes and you're not sure and it's your own apprehension it's a yes the naming gospel every promised yesterday men you wonder if I should just go pray for that person well maybe I'm sure and the more you think about it you actually think you have a no it's usually your own insecurities your own lack of confidence or your own intellect or rationale should I go pray for that person yes let's go well I wasn't quite feeling land that's what we say the Bible already tells you to go you guys fish out here I know you fish I remember you were fishing for crappie at the reservoir last time I was here I don't remember stuff ain't that something that was 2013 I've been in a bunch of places since then faster chew and your honey was about to go on Sunday when I flew out the head to the reservoir to catch crappie ain't that something but do you ever use a little split shot or a little sinker in your life fishing there made a lag if you'll just keep one of them in your pocket and every time you're not had a desk you know I just travel all the time my churches totally reached me to do what I'm doing so I don't local pastor every day like I did for eight and a half years I had a desk and I get all the people counseling I did I was the people pastor so I did I handled all the stuff with the folks I'd get a guy in my office I said listen man seriously come on let's talk about love it's time to love that girl talk about his wife it's time to love her no I just don't think that's the will of God right now brother what are you talking about nope she needs it she needs that love ain't the answer brother it's the goodness girl that's going to change her heart you get frustrated you just because of where she's at you're just picking the year and still in a fight she's gonna snap back you got to overcome that thing you got toned down a harsh world with a kind word not lash back it's time to love her now I'm just not feeling led brother I just don't think that's the Lord I need to take a strong stand and I'd be like right give him a couple more scripture and he's just not feeling let so I pull out my desk drawer I just big chunk of lead in there now you couldn't tell what it was it's just a big chunk of looking metal and I said listen there Freddy hold out your hand what are you doing man just put out your hand squeeze her good thanks now that you felt led time to get on with loving your wife hey I don't play in counseling I'm serious if it if you're gonna call me into an appointment and tell me you want counsel and you don't position your heart for counsel you already come in with your answer you already come in with the opinions of your four other phone calls you made two hours before our appointment I've had spouses sit down look the other way come to our church sit down look the other way you say well I understand it they're going through a hard time are you kidding me who's going to take responsibility and step up and be like Jesus because as long as they're doing that to each other I can't possibly help them they're too busy being right they'll always be wrong if you do that to me in counseling you know what I'm gonna ask you I'm gonna ask you if you're born again I had one trouble I said they came to my church for years they called me into counseling I could see it was tight you could see it on their face man this wasn't good they're thinking they need to split and all this stuff so I took him to the nursery it's prophetic you just go be like kids I took him to nursery sitting him little rocker [Laughter] like children mera it's prophetic that's where I would go if I was overwhelmed in leadership pastoring I was trying to get an answer I'd go to the nursery leave the light off I'd just go in there around all the cribs I just lay on the floor with Jesus he liked me in there I'd hang out in there just I took him down there she's looking that way he's looking that way it's not a quote but it's a general idea that atmosphere I'm like well guys wow you guys left this thing get out of hand man this thing is tight I can see it I said somebody mind starting and health you know helping me understand what's going on so we can make some progress well probably ought to ask him he's the know-it-all in the family now Johnny you want to wet might will talk to her she's mouth you do that to me in counseling I'm so concerned for you you have no idea that you have the ability to position yourself there you're just telling me you don't know Jesus even a little bit you've been taught Christian language you been to church but you've missed the whole point of becoming like him and you're so busy being right that you're way wrong no matter how you're so busy being right because you're sure they're wrong but if God was busy being right it keeps you wrong he found a way to make you right even though you were wrong now that does better justice so I asked him straight up pastor I said are you guys born-again he looked at me and he got disgusted with me pastor what kind of question is that we've been coming to your church for what three three and a half two years I'll say listen friend coming to the church doesn't make you Christian it doesn't make you born-again it's Christlikeness and there's not one thing that remotely looks like him right now and I'm puzzled listen I can't speak Spanish I don't know how you know how to speak Spanish you better come on man a little bit but you born in America and just learned English at your primary language you mess it with me bad okay so watch this so I at least noticed you were Spanish right now watch this no watch I could get you to mentor me more maybe not you who else can speak Spanish you know watch this I can go ahead and learn Spanish and might even get to learn it speak it more fluent than you but it'll never make me Spanish knowing how to talk the thing doesn't make you that thing I can learn the language it doesn't make me Spanish you can learn Christianese you can talk the language you can preach sermons so you're blue in the face it doesn't mean you know God here's what means you know God according to first John for your love and it's just Bible man there's no reason to fight over this thing it's Bible the barometer of you knowing God isn't your confession it's you love so when they're in that counseling room doing that to each other and doing that to their own destinies I gotta call them on it because they've taught themselves religion and they've been a part of something for three and a half years without that main truth of that something being a part of that and now they have the right to be right instead of be loved and they're sitting there expressing to one another what God has never expressed to them and I gotta call them on it and tell them you guys are missing this thing by a million miles you went outside you created value you know what happens if you don't deal with that you wake up on eggshells in your marriage you wake up with unresolved conflict every day you go to bed in your wrath and you're sitting ducks for the devil I don't care how much you rebuke him you're the landing strip for him you see where do you get that brother James 3:13 if you want to just pull one out I can give you a couple more I've read the book James 3:13 says who's wise who's really wise who really understands what they're talking about among you who knows what they're saying let him prove by the conduct of the life that the works are done in the meekness of wisdom but if you have envy or self-seeking in your heart my goodness you could be a Christian for you you have self-seeking in your heart don't boast and lie against the truth don't stand and appear to be something you haven't become deal with your heart get a grip on that thing get it out of your life if you have self-seeking in your heart don't boast and lie against the truth watch for this wisdom did not come from above earthly sensual and demonic and where there's envy and self seeking existing every evil work is present so you go in your bedroom mad at your spouse hurt by your spouse frustrated with your spouse and you think you're praying in tongues and you think you're pregnant God you need to change them I'm tired of getting stepped on how long do I have to pray to you before you turn them around go but hold on it and they devil I rebuke you you get off my spouse the whole time you're doing that you're the very landing strip for everything he's doing and you come out of your bedroom more deceived more angry and more religious what's so hard about kneeling by your bed sincerely weeper god I just thank you for the fullness of who you are in my life and the understanding of why I'm here and why I was created man six months ago this whole scenario would have trashed me I'd have been a hurting mess I can sincerely say with confidence because you know all things ma'am my heart's hurting for my staff's God I'm not even asking you to change them I'm asking would you just reveal love Destiny's purpose potential God if my spouse knew who they were they wouldn't be living this way they wouldn't be acting this way they wouldn't be saying these things the truth is my spouse owes me nothing and I don't know man anything but to laugh keep building yourself and me and perfecting me and thank you that in this moment I am strong and when I get squeezed Christ comes Porter now teach me to love not ever to preach at them teach me Allah and God would you continue to reveal the value of my spouse to their own heart let them sing so that you can raise them up to become all they're called to be and you're weeping sincerely because you're not offended and you're not hurt and you're not taken back wouldn't that be a beautiful picture I'll bet you God would hear that prayer I bet you that would go right through the drop ceiling into the bowls of incense and I bet you heaven would respond on the earth I just or beets just broken and mad and angry my wife prayed for me for thirteen years to change she decided I wasn't gonna so she let her heart get hard and I was worthy of a hard heart I really was and the natural I was a mess I wasn't cheating on her I was just mean and unloving you say well Dan I can't even picture you that way I'm born again she prayed for thirteen years and then our marriage was over and I celebrated it I got right in her face and said I'm glad it's over why did I waste my time with you I said thirteen years of my life I wasted on you that's how our you know was I said I could have done so much better I knew I wasn't the best looking cat in the planet but I knew somebody need me I figured I could find somebody bone go out there I wasn't stupid I was kind of smart so I celebrated the whole thing and I thought this is great five months in I get radically saved at work with nobody around radically she got so mad my wife got so mad she saw it as a slap in the face she thought I was pulling something to make the family side with me and called her that evil one so she had it all analytically figured out she let me have it for seven weeks my wife tried to break my heart get me to snap well stretch your mind for seven weeks my wife went out of her way to be sure to hurt me and they just went no way to hurt love cuz I saw what I never saw before so see you say yeah a preacher maybe you really don't know where I'm coming from I don't just preach this thing I've lived this thing and became this thing there's nothing I preached that I haven't walked through thoroughly that's why I preach with such confidence that's why I preached so long [Laughter] sorry if you get done before me I really am sorry but seven weeks in he meets my wife in the bathroom getting her hair done you go out on the town she's gonna go away she's got curling iron in her hand doing her hair making it 30 and the Lord walks in the back she goes because she knew it was him she renounced him remember that analytical thing six months before well five months plus seven weeks back she's in the bedroom hardening their heart I'm done with this man I just grilled her on the porch when she said she didn't want the marriage I hammered her with my words I could see her harden herself and walk away and I fouled her she gets up the bedroom slams the door she's in there refusing to cry but refuses I'm crying I'm done with him I'm done see she never won't get divorced cuz her sisters were divorced she didn't want to be another stat in the family she wanted a marriage that worked but he hadn't worked so she said oh well gotta face it it's over I'll make it over and then she did something that people do got analytical she looked at the ceiling in her pain in frustration she said in you I'm done with you to see cuz she took the kids to church every week and I wouldn't go she prayed and I wouldn't pray I'm done with you I prayed for this man for thirteen years thirteen years you've done nothing in fact you've allowed me and these kids to suffer through hell I think he's worse I don't need you either see how pain rationalizes all the sudden she turned God into her genie in a bottle instead of her fallen now she's firing him - he ain't fulfilling wishes she's in the bathroom with the curl and brush your hand Jesus is standing there eating offended he loves her he didn't come in and say I can't believe he talked to me that way he said Kim why aren't you saying greed with that man can't you see she said honey it was like somebody tore something off my eyes there's all the years of unforgiveness bitterness unresolved conflict rightness conversations with her friends watch this pastor more years of Bible studies homegroup sounds good right before they leave Kim it's just so we can pray how are things at home that's your answer sympathy sweet little thing it's true precious mean old whatever just don't get to unholy right so what do we do sit her on the chair sympathize and hurt for her and pray and ask God to comfort her and give her peace we don't teach her how to not have a broken heart we don't teach her how to keep from letting where her husband isn't determine where she is letting what her husband doesn't see to find what she does see we're just too busy sympathizing because we understand how she must feel because if I had to live with that jerk I'd feel that way too probably slap him in so then when they pray for me is there even any compassion or is there frustration cuz I don't appreciate how good I have it with you see what I'm telling you and all of a sudden we do spiritual things and there's not one ounce of love in the room sympathy victim villain and emotions nobody really seeing the true value of the individuals nobody having the ability to actually cry for me because I'm so lost just pray for me because I so need to change coz look what I'm doing to this preciously he said can't you see that's not even the man and you're angry with in fact him that's not the man you married I have made him a brand-new man go instead of L baby it's my favorite part of the whole story yeah cuz he can't lie but yeah so I don't have to prove nothing I'm just a brand-new man she collapses on the floor overwhelmed and crying in the presence of the Lord he hovers over her and here's what he impresses on her Kim it's true he's making peace now for the fist pump then he left me suffer him go through hell with these kids he's making peace the hovers over and he says Kim it's true you prayed for me for 13 years but you don't realize bound my hands full answering your prayer cuz you only prayed from her you never prayed because of mercy in love he said you never prayed because of the value of your husband cuz he was lost in his identity you never prayed for him because you felt bad for him because he didn't know who he was you've become another hurting wife who pray I can't answer that prayer and leave you that way because that weighs not me cuz it's not loud how many people have prayed for years from that hurt place and it only looks like it gets worse because it's the only screen you're living in and your whole life is being dictated but what you're failing to understand cuz no one man should ever have the right to dictate your life unless his name is Jesus he is Lord oh that's just straight-up good stuff right so she leaped up from her feet crying looking for me she wouldn't look for me before this encounter she would look the other way in fact I didn't even talk to her cuz she I don't know where they got that button these ladies it's my wife it's a quiet sweet little thing but in that seven week period she had claws that long mane so I just keep my eyes guarded there was a day I opened my door coming out from praying I must have got a little loud she was in the house and heard me we decided just we'd stick each other with the kids terrible what you do to everybody when you're not doing well I opened the door and she's standing right outside the door sweet little thing I might move she said you like the devil for 13 years 13 years you live like the devil and now you're in there praying like some holy man of God I don't think so you can't say nothing cuz you're the one that helped cultivate that hard you you can't say coldly welcome you know God forgives and shows mercy and obviously he changes lives and if you'd be in your room friend you might be able to actually see that God stick but would she had that encounter with God I'm out in the yard I'm doing the garden I'm just working in the yard and I hear the door slam garage door slam I look she's running dead at me running hard she don't have a rifle she's crying uncontrollably and I thought somebody died I thought she got a call about the tragedy because there's no way she's approaching me like this coming at me to initiate conversation crying out of control I figured somebody died she just got a terrible phone call I thought her mom died I thought somebody's in a car wreck I didn't know what happened but I looked and I said Oh Lord something's wrong but I hear her talking under her tears repetitively she's running hard crying hard coming right at me little thing I'm a little nervous no weapons she goes I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I plants her head right here for the first time in six months she's wrapped around me bawling sorry I'm so sorry I'm she's saying she's sorry I live like a unloving self-centered for 13 years she went out of her way to make peace she went the extra extra mile she might not have done everything totally right but man did that girl try and she's sorry are you kidding me the last thing I wanted to be I'm sorry I don't want to say I'm sorry for so long I want to tell her what I understand now I'm ready to be Jesus I'm ready to love her and she's sorry I'm so sorry Don they stopped saying I stopped all when it was messy it was messy trying to talk it was bad I told her stop saying you're sorry what do you mean you're sorry I'm sorry - no I'm sorry I said Kim I've been trying to want to say I'm sorry but you she said no she looks me right guys sucks it up I'm sorry I said how can you possibly be sorry for anything you've tried so hard she said I am so sorry cuz I have never loved you in prayer she said all this time I've been busy being hurt and angry ah I was because I'm seven weeks old them growing in love I'm starting to get this now and I'm like cuz I I love her for the first time I'll ah I said well come on I need you to know that in these last seven weeks I for four week period I was getting visions God was showing me you things you were doing places she were she said what detailed Bram she said how can you possibly know God showed me he told me he was going to keep showing me these things and I thought because I could pray he said I'm showing you cuz I can because you'll never respond like a man you only respond like me fourth night I was getting the visions he said you know why I'm showing you these things down I said yes I can pray for her she's so hurt she's so confused that's not her you said Dan I'm not telling you so he can pray I'm showing you cuz I can't because you only respond like me he won't respond like a man there's so many things I like to show people but they'll respond like people that's where he taught me it's where I get this I preached it all the time it's the day I learned it he said see Dan I can tell myself anything you become one with my heart and you're in that's where gifting flows from it's called the excellent way I was four weeks saved getting detailed vision descriptions four weeks that's Huggies [Music] not hardly hard a god of love she said how can you know these things that God showed me what this changes everything changes nothing what you was hurt it was pain welcome home I'm so ready to love you she's you mean there's hope for this marriage I'm so ready to love you and I just held her and she cried and then I got this thing that came on me said can I renew my wedding vow to you she said oh I said I want to renew my vows to you right now okay because we didn't know this was happening spontaneous said you owe me nothing in this marriage but to receive the love of God for a man and as long as I draw breath on this earth I will serve you in his unfailing mother she said okay so when I started pastoring and people started liking me and fussing over me she started turning inward identity crisis Wow people love my husband I'm just his wife people say hi to me because I'm with him people say hi to me because they love him happened to my life there's no way I could talk her out of it I tried she just looked at me she was supposed to tell me that it's the right answer doesn't mean it's true guess how many years that cost my wife's identity eight years six of it extreme she wouldn't even come to church because she felt so messed up talking suicidal my own wife I'm preaching the country traveling a country preaching identity and she's at home won't even go to church people call she I'm just checking up on you look you only call me because I'm so messed up can wonder if they're calling you because they care no because I'm messed up and wrong believing wrecked her identity you tell me I don't understand love you say eight years brother that's a long time six years she wouldn't come to church in your pastoring you tell me where truth knows time you show me where truth knows time six years is a long time I don't even know what you're talking about am i enduring or am i loving do you think in that season my wife needed Jesus more than ever guess where he lives now ain't the time to be a frustrated husband now's the time to love her yeah in that season of six years I had people calling me for a fraction of something I was going through him on marriage and they were devastated and I try to give him the answer and they'd say well you wouldn't understand if you're not in my shoes and I couldn't exploit my wife to everybody because we were in the middle of it now I share it as a testimony because we're all good and free my wife just loves Jesus see she had a breakdown emotionally and just crumble because she kept saying I wish I was dead I wish I was dead I wish I was dead it'd be easier if I'd go I'd be just want to be dead and I say stop honey you have destiny about so it threw it into this violent seizure it lasted an hour cut off oxygen brain brain guy meets life-support coma so what do you do you don't say well here's my ticket out you pray for her you call it back because your love and mercy triumphs over judgment and love covers a multitude of sin now so you would haven't really liked heaven like me calling her back but you know how many folks sometimes deaths a gift because you don't have an answer and even though it's deaf it's still in the long run a gift because the pain is so bad it's a better escape sometimes cuz you ain't got an answer my wife come out of that coma an hour and a half after we had prayed they unhooked her from life support I wouldn't to see her right after daylight in the morning early quarter of 7:00 she's up in bed sitting she's awake she's talking she's alert and they're amazed cuz she's got a scrambled the EEG brain damage they're concerned they're telling me she could die we go pray life over when my wife realized what happened I walked in that room I looked at her and just cried I said honey you've never been more beautiful she would she said her little hospital gown her hair was all flat she just came out of a coma place to do from never she's alive I'm not talking about Vogue magazine or whatever that is a magazine I'm talking about she's alive she said what happened and I told her and as I'm telling her she looked at me in her eyes got this big and she said you held on to me you didn't let me go I said you ain't going nowhere girl I love you she realized in that moment if what what she was saying all them years was true it'd be easier to just let her go and say oh well at least she's with Jesus Hey and go on live my life you're coming back they're all with no guarantee she'd be different you tell me when her destiny changes you tell me when her creative value changes you tell me when she's worth any less than what he paid for never unless I start believing that lie you better believe will train her back and when she came back she was overwhelmed and the thought that we held on and that I prayed her back wreck that lie and she came right out of it God walked her right out of it it's amazing and she's doing so good so good she writes me little note she loves me she does look at this little pink one right here hope you have the best weekend ever you are a true man of God now this is her being biased and personal because she knows me and I'm the only one that can be your husband I doubt God can find many men if any on this earth with your integrity your character and your good heart that's not a YouTube fan that's my wife who lives with me and knows me amen okay I'm so late it's ridiculous I got like two nights with you guys so I'm sorry I just got a little late most of you wouldn't be in bed anyway Yeah right what is it dude you didn't either dude it had the popcorn where did you get the popcorn he comes in I was only talking in that bucket of popcorn I thought the guys in the wrong room he's gonna watch a movie I thought hey at least he might get saved I thought he's I thought it was a movie theater I thought the dude is and he's got movie theater we have smelt the whole room oh did you smell the popcorn during worship I'm thinking I want popcorn they got several buckets right here you had several buckets it's gone they're empty I see there him turn him into offering baskets tomorrow the other thing I want you to understand Pastor Chuck bless you buddy you get his little offering thing about honoring and I get it all I just want you know I never come for an offering so don't give cuz you think you ought to if you hear a word like that and that's in your heart you respond to that word don't ever give out of compulsion just because you believe you need to this guy flew all the way there stop Jesus flew me out here I'm here because I wanted me listen I've been averaging about 600 invites a year to churches a year just last week I had 34 in one week one week that's almost a year getting close in two weeks you throw a whole year just think about that I've averaged 400 invites four years - 450 that's eight years if you booked them all one year eight years now I just do one year at a time but lately it's there's so much hunger out there it's a good thing I'm not telling you in a weird way I guess 600 invites I'm saying I'm here out of 600 possibilities cuz I knew his heart I know a lot of other people's hearts on those invites I'm here cuz alona me I didn't make any deal with him I didn't ask for an honorary and I didn't ask for nothing I buy my own plane tickets no churches ever paid for a plane ticket ever I never turn down yeah I was at your house you know this to be true I don't turn in expense sheets I'm here because it's the kingdom and you're here and we're coming this guy he'll probably get uncomfortable to my knowledge this guy personally paid for this to make this happen because it was so in his heart for his community he didn't ask for churches to participate and ask for pastors to pay he just did it am I telling the truth don't get uncomfortable he's mad at me a little bit but he'll get over cuz I preach on love and I'm standing at his house well we'll work it out I'll just ask him if he's born again if he holds on to that feel dude are you saying so I'll work him over good but no here's what he's uncomfortable because you just want to do things under the Lord you'll want to let the left hand know it right but what I'm saying is there's people in your community with such a heart this thing isn't cheap that paid for the two nights out of his personal pocket cuz he's so wanted this to happen and didn't even ask anybody to help and I never asked for an honorarium never asked for none of them ever wherever I go I'm not here for that yeah so I'll be honest I'm gonna see what I can work with him I think he'll fight me on it but whatever came in on that offering I'm gonna talk to him about how much this place cost and I'm gonna talk to his wife and find out if this put any pressure on the finances or if this was a zealous or if this was just okay we're gonna work this thing out cuz some of what went in that basket I might just sew right back into his family because one man doesn't have to pull something like this off but he wanted to I just saw I'm acknowledging a heart and I'm not trying to boast on Adam I'm saying there's these kind of hearts in the kingdom of God that sees something that believe in it so much they'll do whatever it takes to make it happen this is humbling thing what I'm telling you it's a good thing I fly all over it's there's not one place on the internet you can find to partner with me or people complain they say do you make it hard to give to you I said well probably on purpose because I'm not thinking that way it'll never be said I asked for anything ever but people bless me they're so into me because they want to so there's a purity there's an honor there what Pastor Chuck talk about I'm totally in agreement with it but I want you to know that I'm not here for an honorarium I'm here to preach the kingdom tell you who you are and you're on my less than 6% of my invites I fulfill less than 6 percent I say yes well 45 weekend's a year 600 invites do the math what's that 5% I don't know I say yes to five or six percent of my invites and you're on that six percent because I want to be yeah and this excites me your pastor these excites me so it's late it's not going to get any earlier the more I talk and then we got a problem because you're all sitting there facing the end when you're facing me I feel like I need to keep talking so you either got to get rude and look away or walk away let's do this real quick can we do this there's something we need to do tonight there's something we need to do tomorrow I know I have permission to do this from the Lord tomorrow we're gonna do something too so if you can come please come grab some friends because God's gonna make some things right at the end I know but we will preach too but this is what I want to do tonight I want to empower us as a church we sang that song guessin amen right from the young lady promise every promise is what y'all know where that is in Scripture it's set in Corinthians chapter 1 and it's very powerful here's what we're gonna do is it okay if we pray for the sick is it okay if Jesus comes in here and heals people even if you don't believe it a lot of people that don't really believe about Jesus healing it doesn't matter to me I understand his nature and I'm not being arrogant He loves us so much he's going here folks tonight period I was just I was in a Bible College where the deans and they let me come and preach because they like the foundational message but the deans let me know that they preached there's no healing on the earth today and I said well if you're gonna give me a mic I'm gonna have to talk about that dinner we're just gonna have to see so they gave me a mic so I figured that was my yes so there was a weightlifter that everybody knew was so injured he couldn't lift anymore because his shoulder was blown out there star football player couldn't play and finish the season he was so injured there were so many things it was a boy 22 that was in his third year of college and he walked impaired because he had weak ankles from birth who was jumping off of a table they were all freaking out expressing their healings in a college that's teaching it's not for today so I'm just telling you if Jesus was standing there praying for the sick nothing stopping that there's no animosity in the world that can stop Jesus people think unbelief can stop Jesus it stops the believer unbelief in the believer stops the believer from believing I've had people in the streets say well I don't even believe in healing I see not even asking you to just give me your hand that's breath yeah you know the number one reason we don't pray for the sick do a survey you'll find out the number one reason we don't pray for the sick we're afraid nothing will happen so because you're afraid nothing will happen you don't pray for the sick so guess what you always have what you're afraid of so what about not making this about you so if love never fails why fail to love so we're gonna pray for the sick in a second it won't take terrible long I know no you should be scarred by now every promise yesterday man real quick can we do this real quick you know where it is second Corinthians chapter one go jump into verse fifteen watch this Paul's talking to the Corinthians and he said in this confidence I intended to come to you before that you might have a second benefit he's talking about in my travels on my way to Macedonian on my way back I'm gonna swing by you guys so you guys can load me it's what Chuck was talking about with honor so you guys can load me up provide for me and help me facilitate this gospel and have the things I need to get done what I'm called to do I'm giving you a benefit by getting involved in helping me in this right so he's calling it a blessing it isn't a burden you know you guys got to give it up he's saying this is an honor and and and we're gonna cover this earth with the gospel and I'm gonna let you guys help me do that so here's really saying in this confidence I intended to come to you before that you might have a second benefit to pass by way of you on my way to Macedonia and then to as you said what you said up here I went 2nd Corinthians one rocks man we got wow and we're gonna pray for the sick watch this when I plan to do this did I do it lightly or the things that I planned do I plan according to the flesh did I just say hey you know maybe I'll just hey I'll tell him I swing by if I don't I'll explain it later he said did I do it this way or did I do it according to the flesh that with me there should be a maybe I will maybe I what he said is if I live by the flesh I'll be in decide SIV and I'll have a yes yes and no no maybe I'll stop by maybe I won't you'll find out if you see me if you don't I moved on to do jeah but thanks for your willingness he said I wasn't doing that I knew what I was planning why because he's doing it by the spirit why do we have a yes and a no concerning healing in the gospel in the church why does the church believe maybe he will maybe he won't because we've discerned healing through the flesh through our own outcomes through our own prayers or unanswered prayers we've discerned God's will through our outcome not Jesus's life we've assumed what we believe through the way things have unfolded or not unfolded so with healing maybe he will maybe he won't you follow me why cuz we discerned it according to the flesh how things worked out we're not to live by the flesh we're to live by the watch but as God is faithful our word do you wasn't yes and no maybe so here's the deal if you marry yes and you marry now their children are maybe so maybe not serious if you take yes and married to know you got a little bit of yes mixed with a little bit of no so you got maybe so maybe not how can you take a yes and no concerning a doctrine called healing and tell me you can pray by faith when you have maybe so maybe not we're getting tricked what but as God is our word do you was not yes then do you know Jesus said let your yes be and your anything else is of the Wow yes be yes nobody knew well maybe he will maybe he won't that's pray and see all of a sudden we have a yes and now and he said your yes and note comes from the evil one because you've discerned the truth through the flesh not the spirit where do you find the will of God through the way life unfolds or through jesus's life left is Jesus the will of God reveal Jesus is the will the Father when you see me you've seen him I only do the will of him who sent me when you see me you already seen him no one seen God at any time but God has declared himself through his son in former days he spoke through the father's through the prophets but in these last days he had spoken through his son who's the expressed image of his person and the out rang of his brightness that's Scripture bam-bam-bam out of the mouths of two or three every words confirm so I gave you three let's err but God is faithful our word to you was not yes and no what's this for the Son of God Jesus Christ who was preached among you by us and me and servants Timothy was not yes and no but in him was what watch here's here's where young promise gave us this watch for all the how many are their promises in the Bible concerning healing are they there are aren't they forgives all your sin and heals all your disease anything you ask believing it shall be done right ask for prayer pray over them and awning with all in the prayer of will save the sick yeah well I'd quote a few more how many promises all the promises of God in him are in him are now this is why it's important than this is why we've been deceived into a yes and no gospel maybe he well maybe won't watch because we don't understand this we're making everything impersonal everything's God moving on us watch for all the promises of God in him are yes and in him so be it to the glory of God through through who who see want to do this through who's the promises supposed to flow through manifest through who's the manifestation of God on the earth who's the body of Christ who's the expression of who he is he's saying if you forgive people be forgiven if you don't forgive they won't be forgiven why because if you don't walk in the heart that forgave you in the love that he loved with how will they know his love if you get legalistic if you get hard-hearted if you get hurt if you getting unforgiveness and you're the body of Christ in the end you do the baton of the New Covenant knew Testament church how a man know his love if you don't walk in it all the promises of God in him are yes and in him so be it to the glory of God through us if you have faith you'll say to the mountain and the mountain will and nothing shall be impossible for him he doesn't say God he says you ain't that something do you need any more evidence or is that just a good enough scripture to spring off my face inspired sweet him through your system will move forward okay awesome you
