[Music] nothing quite like in RFK Stadium in Washington is especially different and expecially exciting when the Dallas Cowboys come to town to play the one beacon residence overall here with John Madden and all the talk in this town and pretty much around the country is the Redskins and their undefeated record and they continue I guess is the big question and I think they can and I think a big reason is this guy right here joke if you're always has a motivator you always give them a reason to have to win today they have to win to clinch is division you remember what it is he says we have to stop Emmitt Smith we can't let Troy Aikman seed but if we've wins today we can switch our division sitting next to and Mark Griffin on a hot streak as the Cowboys will kick off to the no surprise that RFK is sold out it has been for a long long time this rivalry is special to both please that's going to be Brian Cowboys they have mark ripping the quarterback him one of the best offensive lines in all of football Lachey McKinsey plastic Laurette Jacoby and Ron Middleton all of them having career years Ernest Byner the running back or funky Sanders and Gary Clark the wide receivers although they utilize a lot of tight in back is finer side and setup I stopped by Del Rio and Russell Marilyn the Dallas defense has Tony Tolbert Tony Casillas Russell Marilyn and Jim Jeffcoat upfront the linebackers Del Rio in the middle Norton and Vinson Smith and in the secondary Isaac Koch back to start at the left cornerback Larry Brown Horton and Washington the safety he got a gun so Maryland starting to come on fun to watch us the offense bad in it they always give you what they call a different package we saw the first down they had two tight ends in there two wide receivers then on second down they went for wide receiver now on this down they will probably come back with three wide receivers one tight end and after they show you that then they ship then they motion so you never know exactly where they're going to be until just before the fall stand watch all this movement on the preakness third and six from the 20 [Applause] first down a gain of eight and we look at all the packages regular is to wide receivers to tight ends that are running back three wide receivers of course would be three wide receivers that means only one tight end and only one running back four wide receivers like they used on second down no tight ends one running back heavy that's when they get down in short yardage and goal line one ride receiver three kind of and heavy jumbo for time in the package and if you play ribbon will throw again time for ripping our mom thought he was interfered with he was the intended receiver James Washington the defender and our monk doesn't complain a lot but he's going over there talking to the official and we're going to see as we see we see the formation here you see they get to wide receivers working in package now that's a tough thing if you're man-to-man but watch the Cowboys they don't they just zone this as it comes off you see they come off everyone just goes to their zone that would stop it right there here's where monk is that's where of those guys that really enjoy playing football when the other team or runs at you then when the other team is going to pass they take checks they'll reel out that's a lot like the others i when first down looks like it might be a couple of feet short if Mark Ripon did a good job of seeing Ray Horton come it was a weak safety blitz he saw Horton come that many had it get rid of the ball Gary Clarke also had to see it shorten up his pattern the redskins hope he didn't shorten it up too much so he didn't lose to the first down you know John as they measure that's one of the reasons the Redskins are so effective because even if you do bliss they seem to have the intelligence the package the plan to pick it up and that kind they had to plan but again Gary Clark had to go a little too game in football and you're going to go after them this is a way to go after folks sit around defensive unit trying to get crowd involved I was reading the paper this morning John you forget about what this does to the fans these delays like new the placed and perfect well maybe that's pretty to get even for last week Cowboys last week against Giants and one of those things and everything this drawn Charles Mann he's in there blocking him pretty well this guy's the big guys like six foot six 320 pounds and he played well last week against the Redskins and I think he's playing well against Charles Mann today and didn't play last week maybe a little big but Williams has held his own because we haven't hurt man's name yet third and nine Bobby Wilson now how that fell on the Redskins keep it high now timeout damper them back into the picture you think that would be a favor the shark divvy is the host I think Nikolas made the courser song he did well he had something to do there's the guy who's a gambler today I mean this guy came in here to do some coaching the skinny job 39 [Applause] that could have been caught would have been a tough cat day they have some confidence now you know they know that they don't have to stay away from Darryl Greene they have completed some passes on them now they know that they could go in that direction or down and they're going for it again some excitement and indeed they have its work - if you look at the fourth down and five remember they went for it they got it then they scored on that play and then just at the end of the half again that was a fourth down play fourth and seven I thought maybe they try and go and get a a field goal boom they go and they get the touchdown so he did gamble he did gamble with fourth down he did gamble on the onside kick and of course that gives him - 14 to 7 lead and after the game remember they got the fourth down after that fourth down play then they had this play the touchdown to Emmitt Smith and then you talk about a gamble this again was a fourth down maybe they try and get the first down like I said kick a field goal not Jimmie Johnson not Alvin Harper they went for the whole play starts off running and then he makes so many moves that he just starts in the hole and then he starts going straight ahead and then he's going to take the ball and then bounce it to the outside five heck of a job the whole defensive unit [Applause] Redskins can just see this thing slipping away you know you get into these rivalry games and it's amazing what a rivalry can do because I don't think anyone would argue coming in the Redskins are a better team at the cowboy I think since I've been at broadcasting John I've done something like thirty five risk in cowboy games the most memorable one they still have 70 yards to go for a touchdown no timeouts in eighteen seconds I don't think Ricky Sanders could believe that that was a 15-yard penalty I don't know yeah I mean either Colt was down there and I don't know I mean that seems to be awfully extreme I think somewhere if a guy just reacts and there's no premeditation I don't think it should be a penalty I don't see how I can be toning if it's not premeditated I mean you have to let it go just see themselves the Redskins still have to go for the onside kick here here it is again the only thing is is that Isaac Holt number 30 we live in that area and Isaac Holt maybe by jumping up like that maybe that threw the penalty 18 seconds left low Miller will kick off from his own 20 [Applause] flag on the play two flags on the play than any game that I could remember in a big game I think this is one of the best coaching jobs that I have ever seen when he came in here he was an underdog in RFK they were undefeated that's a pretty fine trip Alice had the ball 38 minutes and 51 seconds if you're looking for secrets and reasons the coaching the dominance of the clock whatever they did a heck of a job Michael Irvin what a day yes Troy Aikman and Kelly was injured per line coming in and of course Emmett Smith once you get that kind of running you can have a big day and you've got to give credit to the offensive line
