Crashing my Boat isn’t a Good way to Start the Tournament!

yeah and the reason I'm blessed Prentiss because you can hear everything in this house we're like champagne last tour stopping of the year we've got the championship left but this is the last tour stop I'm just gonna be calm quiet cool not gonna try to wake anybody up in the house just be real divided in five of the morons for 450 I'm fully dressed I'm ready to go tornado tornado tornado freakin tornado dead man do it I hope you're not having flashbacks easy effective at relieving pain Oh wake up it's 5:00 in the morning [Applause] that was that was I had to though I had to all year long put up with him cats where's the tornado bit scared good so bad did he get a boo-boo in his pants no I think a real one and that I gagged out I had to run out of there he gag the whole place out it was so bad [Music] [Music] [Music] all right mission starts now you know it's gonna be it's gonna be a grind I've had some great success here on Champlain over the year but it's gonna boil down it's going to boil down to be finding a lot of spawning fish big ones as well that's fine in some large mountain that's gonna be the trick is how to find some big large mountain because the waters high it's gonna be hard to see the spawning fish but I've got three days to do it and we need to find 50 fish I need to find 50 tournament great fish on beds is what I need to find I need to find four or five places where I can catch some good large amount so the aoi chase is starts literally when I put that 12 motor down the water cover some water go in some moving baits long casts a little stick bait the biggest thing here has been able to see if you can't see you gotta throw moving baits jerk baits swim baits things like that and try to get these fish to come up they're out on these big flats a lot of random boulders around you'd waste a lot of time just casting and sitting so you're just gonna keep moving it's called a flogger there's a rocker like a piece of something in the water it's like that what it is but it's big big old piece of metal something out off the bank like that 8/9 little water and that's what these fish are relate to so every fish is a little different and the time of the year you know during the week is a little different so like I'm throwing this drop shot and he's not reacting to it well at all so that means they want something on the bottom okay I'm gonna put on something white through that drop shot in there five or six times didn't react to it first time with something on the bottom caught the fish every day is a little different it's not a tournament great fish but we're gonna weigh him anyways just to see 235 235 does not count and these very beasts the other way catch it on the dollar jerk right sometimes you just need a little confidence in your jerk bait and catch him like the second cast cast not a real big one but still confidence couple caste sweet I just love them jumping that we're getting to a charming that's a tournament great fish right there that's like a three and a half we're gonna be saving this way point three forty one right at three and a half pounds nice nice nice I'm gonna be honest with you like I said I've done well here right I'm nervous I'm nervous did you just don't know what to expect you don't know what the lakes gonna be like now that I've gone literally a couple just to one spot really and found some fish that I like to see I'm liking it I got a whole nother like energy level right now going on so you know what that means Brandon that means you got to go man Billy you got to come over and hang and we got guys if if we miss some stuff filming today I'm sorry but this is the aoi chase we're gonna show you what's up we're gonna show you some things but it's sitting about touch it I don't know what happened to it it's not working so today we've probably lost a camera and we tore up a lower unit and a crop and we did find some fish so that's that's it day ones in the books yes okay what brand is he up I don't know I don't think so his phone doesn't work what about Roberto I haven't seen him zena's sure you think so really yeah that's crazy dude why did I buy camper then because camp huh okay I got wood he's mad I think he's probably a yeah two six eight two six eight all we need is five three and a half to four pounders down through here and that's not that's not out of the question dude just need to find five of them so Andrew talked about the castle a little hairy so that's a little hair jig this is a little a little deal a lot of the swarm up guys up north of Wisconsin and Canada kind of came up with this but it's just a little black hair jig lightweight eight pound peel on tactical and you want to throw a long rod this is a seven for jackhammer straight braid to the fluorocarbon and I don't know we'll see how it goes today huh pretty cool [Applause] it's ready 282 so we're happy to and 3/4 yeah this is like tents right ounces oh look at this one dude wow that's cool look at this guy's leave this fish those black spots on me normally they have a few but dude that's a lot of black spots that's so cool that is so cool it's a guy's mid-day update well the best I can do and here's a little over 15 pounds but in the meantime our good buddy Matt area is leaving for you dude hopefully he'll get the victory because I thought that's the thing these black ones yeah he's he's definitely over 3 these black ones man they're like he's a long one real long hey that one what's up dude where you been man where you been hiding look I may take you on a ride I may take you on a ride a couple days but don't worry I take good care of you 3 1 9 what's up what's up dinner going man Oh week what we got over here trigger trigger action tournament we cook it at least one nice time before these pork chops are always good right here does a good job before chops the thing I love about the trigger the best is that you don't have to get coals you don't have to worry about cleaning them up we just have this bucket bucket right here right there's our pellets you know it comes in a bag but I put it in this bucket probably the truck you pour them in right here just little hopper pizza and you don't have to do anything to the grill when you're done for the best part you gotta clean it every once too often turn on get the temperature takes a few minutes they go all I know is I'm starving you'll be you know what time it is it's time for a cinematic porkchop flip my friend [Music] all right that's it that's pretty good huh sitting that close chop flip my trigger gonna beat them all up they get nothing like 4:30 in the morning it's live at 5:00 I hadn't been getting the bed till about midnight because time you get off the water get the boat situated grab some dinner it's literally midnight so today's last day of practice and it's gonna be it's gonna be a grind I'm gonna switch it up a little bit go fish up north and go look for some large mouths so warm a kicker marine audio shirt today in honor of kisses some kickers because that's what I need I think kickers more where you come in there me and Phil I hope some torts that towards you that's Christ am i doing that bad yeah Brian I suppose it was a bad idea it's a gross and a bad idea can't-can't 16 or 17 or 18 pounds laying in that bed dude you can't no hmm you don't like you know what God said to me yesterday I told mo turnarounds exactly he's gonna he's looking at me all stupid and everything he's like looking at me I'm like Zig zaggy and I'm like I'm sorry I'll get out of your way cuz it was confusing him like he didn't know which way to paddle like I would go to the right first a huge paddle one way and then I'd go back over this way and he'd paddle and it was making him mad I wasn't paying attention cuz I had my head down and I said sorry I'll go straight for a minute and he says did you lose something that's it huh I did I'm trying to find there's 20 bass that I've dropped off in this link you'll be years ago and I can't seem to find them in your scratches yeah it's just it was just watch watch why this is good this is good I learned that well just watch it see that sound effect on all dude is Grace and Ethan that was good because awesome perfect it's awesome I'm gonna go next level to watch this this is next level you light up here in a scene [Music] small a on the jig a two-and-a-half pound uh it's crazy huh it's a small mouth before I catch largemouth alright guys so we checked in one large mouth spot really wasn't it great didn't catch any large my hope some small mouth so well enough I'm gonna go back up there and on I thought I just caught one big large mouth or a handful of some decent ones a whole different story so now I've got to figure out small now that's a couple of little places right anything oh that's a big large enough can be hanging out its Fisher funky this year man I think the fishings weird are you catching them good I'm uh I'm not good yeah that's what I think I mean I honestly can't catch crap dude yeah I can't find that many on beds I can't mean I can't catch largemouth up there I catch smallmouth around yeah yeah I caught one large mouthed at it yeah yeah I love napping in the rain it's just good you know it's just comfortable you just sit there in this nap see you later dude it was right here at the boat by the way guys this is a 7-3 rush that's what that is 7:3 rush heavy I like it for everything 15 pound peel on that's the fluorocarbon they make really good a little compact jig little trailer you gotta have the thing about the jig's up here is you don't want a big full-size jig that is a tip they like the little bit of a trimmed-down version you get more bites on the soft plastics but seem to catch a little better grated fish on the jig Oh No I mean there's some largemouth out here on this one I just hadn't caught one good one the other ones aren't don't count all right so it's rained it's been all over the place crazy and I just pulled into another little area that I like the fish this camera is dead I'm gonna get it back on in a minute caught one about four pounds it was a boat around the one about another 20 feet there's another big one right here in front of me I'm going to see how big it is I can't see the fish good cuz it's so windy this seat it's a big right it three really good sign might be a two and a half yeah found a new spot 234 234 that's not a tournament grade fish but about good ninja mode all to fish in like five minutes then your modes promising all right see how I look there oh yeah that's that's cool looking I'm looking at the reflection of the lens what you think guys Wow end of the day we've got a little bit more time to finish maybe 30 more minutes I found it days with the fish here that's what I did on this spot so I've got a days where the fish down south and the days where the fish up here and that's all I have right now but you know a lot of times you can find stuff throughout the Karman so so far in three days and pride has hadn't been the best in the world but this is like chef playing you could always stand a good chance right into a roving good morning it is uh her day off actually beautiful take the boat get looked at get the lower unit checked out yeah judo huh yes go oh my gosh thought is a wreck it's a wreck that is exactly how we left it how so tired last night I guess I literally rolled in here it was like unhook the boat left everything on the boat cause I mean I ain't got a lot of grass on the playground after I got a little bit of grass on the playground and it comes still on the shirt so it's like it got a bunch of zits hundred it's like hey he's got a bunch of this right there yeah they kind of poked through I'm like it kind of makes me feel it's like people look at your chance they'd be like hey man pick a bones it's under his shirt right there is that what that looks like do you feel like your belly's poking out it is guys up tall jaws for being a little on the hefty side that little break that we had I enjoyed some ice cream with the kids yeah I'm tell us fall off right now I'm a little on the heavy side I'm hefty yeah I'm borderline fat let me get a cheeseburger hang on let's buy some tickets come back for the marshal we saw the cooler we were fish found and if I can find a couple bonus fish every day good ones of course it can happen it can happen yeah just take my water take my credit card just to catch you run out of gas and and the and the and the camera see she could document the one time yeah that I have to go pick up the boat yeah it might I would not pass by a place itself diesel Scott has never knew I'm gonna wreck tackle I have all that over there rig that's laying against the wall my boats getting some work done to the lower unit that's right Brandon Billy don't want to go I don't know I think Billy's taking a nap and what is Briana doing I don't know and I never get to drive the truck yeah I get to now when it's on e yeah see how much your guests oh my all right guys you know what three days of hard practice I've got a game plan it's not exactly what I was hoping for as far as the amount of fish that I found but you know what I think I can find more along the way and that's kind of the main goal at the end of the day I just got to catch a consistent bag two days in a row make the cut and then let's just see what happens I mean that's really where it's gonna boil down to but I want to thank you guys so much
