Team USA Breaks International Weight Records in Mexico - Mexico Gold Day 1

[Music] we're in Mexico this year so now we've got to stay over last year we're looking to bring home the gold back to the United States this year I'm excited bringing home the gold Team USA [Music] to take it to the ramp everybody there's our bass right there a new sponge baths morning good morning are you doing it okay your launch your green sand everything is okay yes thank you all right guys was it's day two it's day two which kind of should be day one but day one was canceled because of wind and weather and whatnot so now we have a two day event today Scott and I are fishing together and we're gonna go flippin up in the trees Fritz is gonna go do what rich don't do his thing you know he's gonna crank yeah I think he's on a little stronger deal to catch fish we've caught some big ones it's breaking everybody's seen it we have had some big bites but friends you gotta love it figured out out date hoping that pans out bread Ravana's and James Watson is gonna be the other the other team for today and they're gonna stand offshore as well and fish some humps and stuff so Canterbury and I are gonna go for the trees and flip we're not real sure how it's gonna turn out in the morning time afternoon we feel real good about it we come in around 4:30 today so Team USA we got to get done [Music] I put those some buoys out then we'll be tangled up in them I just crushed it did you see if I get much further away from it that way you can't hit it you know that all these fish when I found them were in one little spot and they've sorta I believe this more scattered out with this this cloud cover is probably really hurting us and early and dark and think it'd be a lot better with some bright skies Dave big one oh my gosh that's a giant Dave that's a giant I know it is I'm glad with in late kill you it's got to have patience please they own their big D oh gosh yeah he's a five or six oh yeah absolutely we're gonna put one in this in the big sad eye it's starting to pick up Dave just caught one about three and a half I just caught one about five and you never know it could be trick we seek ton of bait on the around us there's bait all over the bottom we just need them to kind of move up on the shelf I don't think they I don't think they've actually sucked down on the bottom yet but it's a good start three and a half and a five yeah make sure you're keeping lying tide out here let me tell you it's a little slow right now but the right ones is here I don't like he isn't nothing he ain't hurt the boat got to get our bearings trying to get our bearings here on some small shorts off scope yeah offshore Dave Fritz had found he gave it to us and checking without checking it out it's usually not that exciting in the mornings on just to get things started but broke when we pushed back in the States because we're a three boat team and so we can all communicate throughout the day which makes it really interesting to be honest with you so Fred and and and Watson we're catching them up and down this ledge this morning catching some good ones we stayed in a flipping didn't happen but now they've moved off of this and let us have it now we're catching them good so that's it's a good thing to kind of have a strategy and some teamwork with this international tournament those rules are pretty cool this likes pretty good it's just frustrating cuz you don't get a ton of bites I'd rather be I mean I like flipping but I caught that big one flipping and then we've been out here on a Ledge now just trying to get Fred our team mates Fred and Watson caught some big ones this morning told we know where they were at so we went there and we've caught a few here we just need another big one or two got one feels like a big it's a big oh my gosh dude it's a giant did he pull it hard don't lose him do I know you're not gonna try and do he feels big he's strip dragging everything dude it ain't at well but it's a big it's a big Savin applause that's one in bigger has about 32 pounds yeah leaving the turn watch them catch some of them yeah except yeah I know they got some big ones yeah we're excited you know consistency is going to be the key here if we can all and our team had 30 pounds Dudley and Fritz had 20 pounds that means we're leaving the tournament just a good deal so we're in first Spain's in second Mexico and South Africa are tied for third so it's gonna take a little bit it's gonna take a little bit but we're ready for it it's gonna take all day tomorrow to get it done but we're in position I like where we stand so guys thanks for watching
