so I recently taught myself how to make egg foo yung it's a breakfast omelet you're making a the if the sauce the egg from your young sauce and egg foo yung translate into hibiscus egg really well yeah cuz it looks like a hibiscus flower when it's done little did I know how about that so you make it a slurry which is water cornstarch some hoisin sauce and chicken stock that's gonna be our sauce I love it okay what's that ball this is how you make you you don't want to make one you're gonna make a bunch of these I have eight eggs in a bowl I'm gonna add some salt and some soy sauce okay eight eggs hey thanks I'm just gonna whip these separately two layers of salt YY salt and because you need salt it's just one of those habits maybe this because of being a chef everything gets salt safe and sweet even the cookies but if you really translate remember we're gonna put a lot of veg in this and the salt is gonna be needed to carry over with everything so that's there then into this thank you Jeff into this we're gonna put ground pork that's cooked a good amount of cilantro really important scallions mm-hmm bean sprouts okay you can put mushrooms mushrooms are really common as well I love it I love the texture and crunch carrots very nice ginger and garlic thank you Jeff that created garlic and ginger garlic and ginger and we're just gonna mix this up first and then get our wok hot so the wok we're gonna put a pretty generous amount of oil and this isn't gonna be a perfect omelet that's not brown and you know it's folded and just touched lightly this is real fire cooking okay I don't have a wok you don't need a walk you can skillet you can go to a Dutch oven nonstick big sided pan you can't no you can do it in a cast-iron pan non-stick okay I mean you were talking about a fridge clear I mean leftover the eats in here after a barbecue barbecue pork cut off the rib late embrace what you're getting for your you're feeding a family a healthy breakfast right okay so we're gonna wait to that gets hot really important you have a hot wok and I like to test it up I just thrown a scallion there oh look at this is your scurrying sizzle method that not quite not quite almost so we're gonna just gonna wait one minute okay that's there that's there and this is now completely mixed right and to this we're gonna add our egg I'm gonna put the garnishes over here how could this not be good oh I love this is I always order April pooyan on omelet Chinese takeout menu almost as a side just so I always have it and then they usually give you like four of the big discs you know but last year like three days in the fridge didn't we need this I've never made it no I'm all scared too so you look at your dispenser to buy you all yeah I'm trying so it's really important that you and some some fun stuff I put on top okay but look how easy this is so basically get all those vegetables done the night before the porks cooked you just break an egg and whip out those head right so let's let's see if we can flatten it out here okay don't let it fry a bit more and that's basically it okay no like a pan-fried frittata it's like a frittata a pancake and a helmet okay I'll whip together mm-hmm okay so we have a few in the oven chef you want to go home yeah go get you stay good shoe jeez these slow down don't splatter your soup nope not gonna happen yeah so I'm gonna get the sauce Jeff you want to let's put these on the platter really nicely thank you these it smells like egg foo yung like I just opened in the coke and what it is you care what it is I hope this is better than takeout okay so what's gonna I want to space them out like that and here's that look at that beautiful sauce I just it up a little bit yeah you know me really beautiful drizzle on top of that cuz usually it is swimming in that sauce you know it has to have since this is the secret sauce of the sauces some sesame seeds some scallions Skelly you cheese and some fresh cilantro cilantro nelly elantra nelly and maybe just a touch more sauce and there you have it egg foo Yong doing this for you kids yes Bachelet Georgiana Madeline I'm doing this for you I'm taking one for the team and this is not good you'll be hearing from my lawyer shout to the Zakarian's what sauce no Scalia Lally okay you can I get you one love ya I'm gonna tear it down tear it down in two seconds all you need for this is some fried rice and a roll some crab rangoon sweet sour chicken some shame comes into play Wow I really like the cilantro I don't think I've had ever had it with cilantro before Wow I pointed this easy it's got all it hits all the familiar flavors of an AP younger it's so much lighter and fresher tasting maybe because we just you made it live right here and is good and it's I saw what went into it there's no mystery but the sauce is not too gloopy which can happen it's just velvety and it a little punch of sweetness and salt but it's like that egg is awesome and you taste a little bit of pork and the fresh veggies you
