Comparing THE BEST AND WORST UK AIRPORT

the points guy reviewed the twenty largest airports from across the UK to find the best and worst airports we gathered huge amounts of data and scored each Airport on commuting amenities and on-time flights this is the biggest report of its kind I am here in Chicago square which is often cited as the center point of London and the place that we chose as the center point of London for our commute from London to the different London airports now London Stansted came is our worst airport and a big reason of that was it's very poor commuting school it calls itself a London Airport but it's a schlep from here to get there and I'm gonna take you on that journey with me [Music] [Applause] [Music] it's ten thirty [ __ ] square behind me heading into the underground let's see how long it takes to get from here to the terminal [Music] I gave a Roger Tom Hale station it really is feeling like quite slept now so I've taken one train from Charing Cross at Trafalgar Square to change at Oxford Circus on the Bakerloo line change to the Victoria Line now I'ma top them hell I'm going to take the stance that Express two stunts it which i think is about a forty five forty two point five minute train already been going for just over half an hour so it feels long segmented and ready to be the airport already [Music] some were trained to stun stared I had to buy a ticket because oyster doesn't work on this route and the 19 quid it was for ticket which i think is quite outrageous for this short journey on the train ouch isn't that cool but anyway just made it I run on sort of train as the doors are closing so I would have had to wait another 10 or 15 minutes in the next month but come on our way last leg of the journey [Music] so we are here at the UK's worst airport we've just gone through security so the commute was where it really fell down but now we're actually going to check out the amenities 20 restaurants in those bars and no kids areas and lots and lots of aircraft stands so it's a mixed bag here and they came out with an average score that was okay we're going to go check out all of the restaurants and see what else they have to offer as that Harrison Holmes Burger King acosta she not always caviar but sometimes James Martin kitchen Jones used to Camden Bob and kitchen the cabin bar it's ooh the windmill and Wetherspoons another prep taster kept giraffe Starbucks Leon and another Burger King [Music] it's a house you're able to access the escape lounge this is the escape launch of Stansted Airport is the only lounge now although it's very quiet now and it's actually very nice with confidential food and drinks all first and business class passengers and partners like Priority Pass or Lounge key are able to use this launch I imagine at times it gets incredibly busy and there's a lot passengers coming through this Airport you won't want to be here on a busy day when it's the only place to be [Music] so looking at the departure board now it looks like a good day it stands today but we gathered our data from an entire year we took delays in cancellation data from the Civil Aviation Authority the CAA and stuff had really fell down on the average delay time it was the worst of all the 20 airports have we looked up with an average delay across the year of 23 minutes now we did count how many jet bridges were in an airport but we didn't account the transits being closed so we have to get a bus or a coach over to where the gates are rip on gate 13 so we're gonna have to hop on a bus now really annoying okay we're going to join the bus but this is pretty horrendous horrible old carpet in London game is that you can afford a plane then you're gonna go board another plane another game it's very confusing completeness we're now leaving the worst Airport in UK Stansted and traveling to the best in the UK Glasgow welcome to Glasgow Airport TPG UK's best airport in the United [Music] team pound easy so 30 pound 84 while in the day return ticket to get into the center bus station yeah [Music] this is fantastic not only is it cheap and quick it's also incredibly comfortable how often do you have to bus has compensates it's able and wireless charging is working look at that amazing [Music] that was 15 minutes on the dot [Music] señoritas grease the fire you that's so far which is your favorite video we are in Glasgow Central Station right in the heart of Glasgow or about to hop on the airport Express bus to go to Glasgow Airport it's gonna with us there in just 15 minutes so we're showing now having a little coffee before we go and very soon we're gonna get to buzzer Airport I find out why is the best airport in the United Kingdom [Music] welcome to Glasgow Airport the best airport in the UK there's a food court here with all sorts the Sun Piper Starbucks Caledonia James Martin kitchen Krispy Kreme and the naked deli bread grill fish Frank your bellies Starbucks number two speed more public kitchen and beer and for such a small airport it's quite fantastic community that they have a little spa where I can get my nails done for such a small airport it's impressive that they have four different lounges that can see right now there's the lowman lounge and upper deck mile triplicator editor the Emirates large manage passages and where we're going to head now the British Airways executives [Music] we don't want to judge an airport on its time by just one day but the departure boards look good today however when we look to the entire year Glasgow have one the lowest average delay times at just 14 minutes so this is Glasgow out for our best airport in the UK a solid amenity score and a good on time record combined with an incredible commute score for that 15 minute and chic ride into town met this came out on top is the best airport in the UK [Music]
