INSANE UBER RACE ACROSS LONDON: Bike vs Boat vs Car

we are in central london at westminster pier right outside big bend in the houses of parliament and today we're going to race from here to canary wharf i've never got the uber boat before so i'm going to get on the super boat and the boys are going to uber in different ways i'm taking an uber car today and i am taking uber bike we've also got a special guest bunny come here this is barney and he is going to come with us so we're going to get the boat should we go barbara yeah let's go bye right i'm filling my caps in a bit and i'm going to find my bike so the uber boats run on a schedule of around every 20-ish minute so me and barney are heading down to the boat pier now they're selling lots of tickets for tours and cruises and but i know that you can just touch in and touch out here so before we go in i'm going to put on my mask and then we'll head on to the boat here so i'm just heading now to find a spot to order my uber from we're in central london so it's pretty busy around here just need to find a good spot on the road so i'm currently waiting for my uber to arrive it says it'll be here in about two minutes time i'm pretty confident about my chances of being the boys today i mean john's on the bike dickie's on the boat i think i should get there in about half an hour in my uh in my cab today so fingers crossed i can win hello i'm about to get an uber bike and apparently uber sold all their bikes to line so i have to go online app to select all of their uber bikes which is the jump bike red one electric should be fast and i can see here there's one not far away so let's do this i want to show you the whole experience of riding across london so does it look good and there is my uber pulling in now hey how you doing for liam yeah thank you very much hello which way am i going which one the uber boat i'm going to uh canary wharf thank you so there's a lovely gentleman there to help me told me that i need to find boarding point e and so i'm just following the signs this is all quite relaxed because i know that the boat goes at a certain time my boat's at 10 38 so i can just stroll down here although this is a race you know i know when i'm going so it's kind of easy so easy did not realise the time and i can see a boat there now i'm worried i'm gonna bloody miss it so here's the uh the touching point i need to use my cars [Music] just made it come baba good morning good morning how are you thank you okay all right i think i found my uber bike it's just over there and this is it let's see how easy is to unlock it phone book scan to ride that's it unlocking [Music] yay it's a bit too high for me i'm tall but not not that tall [Music] all right let's do this there's a bike lane over there i just don't know how to get there i might have to just cross like this that's it bike lane from the start of the journey which is really cool look this is fast [Music] okay so i'm now in the cab on route to cabot square at canary wharf it's saying it's going to take us about 20 minutes to get there 20-25 minutes from where we are right now um i'm driving what's your name sorry bobby i'm driving with bobby today um bobby how you doing i'm very very good thank you i'm really hoping we're gonna we're gonna win the race against my friends um i think we've got a good chance to be honest so uber started in london in 2012 i believe um obviously eight years later still going strong i think become far more popular than the uh the regular london black labs often often you get cheaper prices the minimum price for an uber journey is five pounds and i think today's journey let's have a look it says it's going to cost me between 13 to 18 pounds which isn't too bad for a trip across busy central london let's just hope i get there first [Music] well in terms of comfort you really can't argue with this at all i have pretty much the whole boat to myself endless amounts of space it's endless maps to leg room where i am right now this is fantastic and amazing views of london on either side of me um this is just brilliant there's also other bits of the boat to check out so i think we can go to an outside terrace so we'll go have a look at that but in terms of comfort i really can't imagine any journey across london being much better or nicer than this what do you think bonnie barney's a fan like so far very comfortable kind of clean not completely clean not completely new either but not bad to be honest having a full bike lane it's wonderful look at this this space is going really fast i'm going faster than the cars over there look i wonder if leon is that one huh so i'm currently stuck in what looks to be a little bit of traffic my my google maps are saying that that's not going to continue for the rest of the journey so hopefully once we're through this little this little hold up we should be pretty smooth for the rest of the route [Music] now although it's quite noisy out here the views are spectacular i mean this is what it's all about going down the middle of the thames we just went on under london bridge looking at views of the city the square mile is it's absolutely amazing on a sunny day actually it's quite busy out here everybody wants the nice views right under tower bridge this is pretty cool probably the most famous site in london [Music] i reckon for short distances you can't beat a bike really it's also nice and easy convenient but now that i've been going on for 13 minutes i can feel a little bit of the journey hands a little bit hurting because of all the all the bumping on the road you see it's not very comfortable but it's all right another bike lane so far plenty of bike lanes so well done for london with all the bike opportunities to travel across the city i'm about to look at this stop for cars growing four bikes that's very good i'm on a bike priority here can i ask you a couple of questions do you work here you every day yes i do yeah do you know what it costs when you use your credit card if you use a touch and touch out i touch him seven pound eighty and there's that for so it's seven pounds eighty for a journey if you touch him with your card same with oyster yeah you get a discount with an oyster if you buy a ticket it's gonna cost you um ten pounds ten pound twenty i believe because the prices have changed at the moment an oyster and a touching credit card the same contactlessness so seven seven pounds eight two oh sorry one more thing is this usually is this usually open the uh cafe about 12 o'clock actually you open it at 12. and will you have champagne at 12. yes all right let's have a look at the prices a champagne where is it oh gin and tonic six pound fifty seconds eight pound twenty bargain [Music] so we're currently under the limehouse link tunnel this is the final little stretch before we arrive into canary war i'm almost there coming out of the tunnel right now [Music] just crossing shardwell station now going straight east i can seek any war from here not too far now and it has been only 18 minutes of our bike lane pretty much all the way i'm extremely [Music] impressed thank you so much bye well wasn't that good barney what do you think that was great wasn't it we're currently being having a quick a quick search around the edge of the car do they always do this what are they looking for okay we are clear of the boat taking my mask off this is the entrance and the exit so we're out now canary wharf is right here so i'm actually gonna have to run because i think my transport was the slowest so we've got a chance of beating the boys bonnie it's gonna take a bit of a sprint let's go [Music] i'm doing a bit of an off road here because i don't know i think i missed the bike lane but it looks like this is the right way to go amazing thank you so much bye-bye right let's see okay barney and i have caught our breath so it's time to run a bit more towards the finish line we're so close cabot square it's just up here almost there come on bubba come on it's quite adjustable there 29 minutes exact but there's a lift do you think this is allowed in the race in cover square the boys are nowhere to be seen at the moment there is no sign no sign of the lads anywhere i think i've won i think i've done it i think i can see that hello just got here [Music] i'm tired [Music] second second place how does it feel good very good journey but tired how long have we been here for about three four minutes i got the wrong turn over there i could have won otherwise i came pretty fast it was like 29 minutes it's a very good looking bike yeah it's sexy my my journey was very smooth all the way nice nicki still nowhere to be seen though no at least we've beaten him oh no i can see a bright red uber bike it's not a good sign it's probably jean is it gonna be oh not just one there's two of them that officially means we're the losers barney we should have just relaxed nikki how you feeling third place oh my god like actually apart from the sprint at the end because i thought i might be able to clinch it that was amazing like so comfy amazing views really fun great stuff they normally serve champagne you could have got a bloody mary as well on there jordan but not until 12 o'clock today so anyway last place but don't care that's it easy talk carefully that's it didn't have to pick anything six pounds you definitely win on price yes winner looking at the winner right here nice clean cab very friendly driver really happy with the experience and obviously most importantly got it first so can't complain so we have one two and three but pretty close overall oh we're not bothered are we barney we had the best time ever [Music]
