"Clues to Your Assignment" with Jentezen Franklin

I knew you before you were born I sanctified you and I ordained you a prophet to the nation's finding your assignment in the kingdom you are treasured you are valued before I formed you in the womb if it was true for Jeremiah it's true for you God says I'm not talking in this scripture just about Jeremiah but it's insight into all of us before you were in your mother's womb I knew you called you to an assignment had a plan for your life had a purpose for your life and tonight I'm not talking about my assignment because we're good at believing in other people's call in other people's assignments in other people's you know potential greatness and all of that but we don't see it in ourselves ever and we call it humility when in when in reality sometimes it's the spirit of intimidation and fear that causes us to feel unimportant he said your treasured your valued I knew you before you were in your mother's womb and you have to understand what he's saying in verse 4 the word of the Lord came unto me say first thing that you've got to know about finding your assignment is it's very significant to know that God can talk to you we need to understand that God is still talking and still calling people and still speaking to people and you have no value unless he tells you the things to dream that he wants you to dream and the way he does that is he will speak to you he will speak through the services he will speak to preachers he will speak through circumstances but you got to learn how to hear God's voice and that's how he puts dreams in you is he will speak to you what I say means nothing what others say about you means nothing what God says is what really matters be very sensitive to what God says about you you must hear God I get amused at people who who say I'm gonna I'm going to take a course on on how to how to hear God's voice well I've never had to take a course on um you know when I call my mother and I hear my mother on the other line I don't have to I don't have to take a course on recognizing her voice I know my mother's voice and when you know him you know his voice it's that simple and and you need to understand that it's important the first thing he says about the purpose and the plan and the assignment of God is number one the word of the Lord came to me there's a word for your life listen for it there's a plan that God talks and he's the one that thought up a mouth he's the one that thought up a tongue he's the one that thought up a voice box and he knows how to talk to you then he says before I formed you in the belly I knew you before your mother saw you before you knew that you know you existed I had a plan and called you you need to understand that he has sanctified you he goes on to say not only called you but sanctified you separated you set you aside for his purpose you are a walking reward for somebody he said I ordained you I designed you I scheduled you into the world I designed you in the designing room of heaven and if you don't have something that you think you need to be fulfilled then you're you need to understand that he designs you you didn't make yourself and if you're not able to do something quit trying to be something you're not and take the will of God as how he designed you he designed you you have an assignment on your life turn to somebody and say you have an assignment on your life you don't listen you don't decide it you discover it a true assignment from God will showcase your inferiority it will showcase your limitation it will be bigger than you are and make you feel incapable of achieving it you know when when God first called me to preach this this whole chapter I used to have a sermon I preached called the left handed deliver and I would bring it out is really I think second or third sermon I ever preached and I love this because it's so spoke to me because when God called me to preach I felt exam that he'll spit I heard the word of the Lord come to me you're called going to use you you're going to go to nations that it uh sounds like this is crazy Who am I I'm a child I'm a youth all of that all of that and I think there's something powerful I think there's something strong about when you get that hold of that verse and don't be afraid of their faces I remember particularly I would just almost have anxiety attacks just just I felt like I was going to throw up I just felt like I would get nervous and sick and worried and you know the difference between just anxiety about speaking in front of people and just being tormented with fear and intimidation and one day I read that scripture in a Sunday School room my brother and I were holding a revival and I was down in the Sunda score he used to pray in the Sunday School room I don't know why but that's how we used to do it and I was reading my Bible and praying sitting in a little wooden chair and he said reading through this and he said and do not be a raid of their faces I love that that set me free I'm afraid of none of your faces don't be afraid of their condescending looks don't be afraid of their mouths sucking their teeth don't be afraid of their smears don't be afraid of their Facebook blogs don't be a face of the cowards that attack you you know don't be afraid of their faces and many times like forward you know when you go speaking of like a forward conference or something like that in his thousands and thousands of people that it's it's it's you you pray you do everything there's four things you do to preach a message you study yourself fool you get everything you can get off the Word of God on that subject as much as you can from any and everybody you can get it and get it in your spirit study yourself full then number two you pray yourself hot because you study to get a message or sermon but you pray to get a message from God pray yourself hot you got to pray you got to pray you got to pray got to pray it's not we've had enough talks we need some prayer behind our word so you study yourself fool you pray yourself hot then you think yourself through you know you you have to think it through think that message through where is it going how's it going to end what do I have any life illustrations that I can put in here anything that I can say that will make it applicable to people's lives what think it through did anything happen with my kids have I ever experienced this point I don't know why you must be getting a lot of y'all ready to preach but this is how you do it this is how you do it study yourself fool pray yourself hot think yourself through think it through and then lastly and this is the big point that has to do with don't worry about their faces after you study yourself full and pray yourself hot and think it through the last thing you got to do after you've done everything you know to do set yourself free just set yourself free I don't know if y'all getting anything out of this but I'm liking this little sermon just set yourself free relax get up and do what God's called you to do and don't worry about their faces they might be making ugly faces cuz they ate something crazy for lunch you don't know it may not be your sermon he said don't worry about their faces it's just a face turn to somebody and say it's just a face how people look at you it's just how people accept you as just a face for I am with thee I love that you're not in this by yourself you didn't call you by yourself and he said therefore I will put forth my hand and touch your mouth Jeremiah now here's another thing about your assignment your mouth is going to play a major part in your assignment if God told him he had an assign it was going to require him to go to places in nations of the world then he gives him another huge insight that your mouth is going to play a major part of your assignment your ability to speak he touched my mouth there are two kinds of communication what you tell others and what you tell you some people talk good to others and talk bad to themselves they're kind to others and they curse themselves you stupid you idiot you're ugly you're dumb you're no good you'll never be anything you're loser you can't do it but they'll talk real kind they communicate outwardly good to other people but talk horribly to themselves but God touched his mouth your future is not good until God touches your mouth and suddenly he begins to prepare you when he touches your mouth your preparation determines your performance if you don't prepare then you won't perform well so prepare yourself for your assignment find what you truly love and build your life around it you know sameness creates comfort the difference creates reward we want to be like everybody else and that's comfortable but it's when you find that uniqueness that God has given you that you begin to connect to the rewards the life costs nobody if you're just like everybody else and just into what everybody else is into then guess what then the field has just gotten really broad but the more unique and we're afraid of being different we're afraid of being different but it's the uniqueness that is your niche don't try to be like everybody else just be what God made you full of a holy spirit discover your distinction identify your difference so find what you love find I love church I love preaching I love ministry I love it find what you would do if let me put it to you this way what if what if everybody no matter if they are a janitor or they are a brain surgeon what if everybody was paid $10 an hour no matter what you did there is no difference in pay it whether you whether whether you are a dog catcher or you are a PhD in in the in Harvard University who whatever gets $10 what would you choose to do what would you choose to do I would do what I'm doing right now because this is this is what I love this is what I do you've got to find what you love to do and you don't do it for money nothing wrong with being successful if you're business person particularly got a big dream to make lots of money especially if you're Kingdom minded businessperson God can really bless that but my point is if you get in it solely for money nine times out of 99.9 times you're gonna fail but if there is something in you that loves the reward of whatever it is ultimately that gets you to because you talk to people who've done great things and and it seems like there's always something else the money was never the motivator even though it came does that make sense so so what you love is a clue to your son number two what you hate is a clue to your son what angers you what ticks you off you cannot correct what you're unwilling to confront anything permitted will increase anything permitted in your life is just going to increase what you tolerate you can't change what you're comfortable with will never change no matter how how much you wish it would until you get to the point that you say I can't stand this any longer that's when change comes your anger is imported an angry man is an awakened man what gets you passionate whatwhat what gets you stirred up that's a clue to your assignment and lastly what grieves you what makes you cry caring qualifies you as an instrument of healing what what makes you cry what makes you emotional that's a clue to your assignment what what touches your heart what what what can move you that's a clue to your assignment remember Nehemiah the Bible said he wept when he saw the city in ruins Nehemiah was not a professional wall builder he had never built a wall in his life but he found his assignment by his emotion something grieved him and he said we need to build these walls back and it grieved him how far his nation had gone and that was his assignment the assignment lastly will require hours and seasons of great preparation Moses spent 40 years in the palace finding out how to be somebody 40 years in the desert finding out how to be nobody and 40 years leading the children of God when he found out what God can do with somebody that's willing to become a nobody for his sake so that's a total of 80 years of preparation for 40 years of deliverance ministry am i boring you Jesus Christ and his assignment required 30 years of preparation for three-and-a-half ministry three and a half years of ministry and we want to know why boom I'm supposed to be a prophet Jesus ministry required 30 years of preparation before he ever preached a sermon or healed a sick person he just sat around and learned about people he would minister to and last thing I wanna say has become an expert on your son once you find out what it is I'm how many of you know that's for endings for last points right there become an expert on your assignment turn to somebody and say become an expert on your sign 2nd Timothy 2:15 study to show yourself to proved a workman that does not need to be ashamed of his work study to show yourself become become the best in your field do you have any magazines that you get on what you do do you find out what anybody else in your world does do you ever check out competition do you go I check up I find out what are other churches doing what can I learn for I'm not a know-it-all once you think you're a know-it-all you're already on the decline still doing the same Mosta why don't you go learn from some other people who are even more successful than you are become an expert at your assignment become an expert and the Bible said a man's gift you may be secret nobody may know who you are you keep filling yourself with knowledge you keep filling yourself with the word you keep pursuing this sign that's God's giving you what you love and and what bothers you and how you what your assignment is to do something about all of that and once you do that you get so full of that word the word will be um a person's gift will make room for them you just get a phone call you just get an opportunity it'll drop out of nowhere at the most inopportune moment and you won't believe that you have that opportunity but it's prepared people it's not lucky people he's lucky no I'm not lucky I'm prepared Thanks there's a big difference what what what if a huge opportunity in your field came tomorrow are you prepared for it you prepare it God said as long as there's vessels I can keep pouring out but when you think you're fool when you're fool then I can't pull anymore on you so that's all I got to say everybody say I'm unique God has his hand on my life he called me from my mother's womb I have an assignment from heaven it's not a small thing and I'm not going to let people's faces funny faces mean faces face books or anything else stop me from my son I Know Who I am and I know what God has called me to do I'm not arrogant I'm not proud I just understand that God doesn't want me intimidated come on he has not given me the spirit of fear come on declare it he has not given me the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind I'm going to become an expert in my field they're gonna come ask me how I did it hallelujah now let's just take a moment and give God the glory because that's what it's all about that's who you're gonna give the praise to I really do believe that God has an assignment a call a plan for your life and one of the great tragedies of not knowing Jesus Christ as your Savior is it's like you're trying to piece your life together as you go when God has the master plan God really does have a purpose for your life and all you have to do is begin with surrendering your heart to Jesus Christ just open up right there where you are and say lord I need you I need your plan your assignment your call for my life and lord I give you my life I put myself in your hands Lord Jesus use me and every gift I have for your call and your purpose in Jesus name I pray amen and a man you know this is just vital material that you're hearing this I taught this on a Wednesday night and I just
